	Story:The sins of the Jedi / creation of Darkness AU/EU: a bit of everything. Author:GKilkenny Time frame: begins around JA and Anakin is a year older than obi, Maul is on the scene and then it is made up of pieces of AotC and RotS, Obi is an apprentice a dark apprentice, with a mission from the force. Obi ‘s age 12 --to –23. Characters: Obi, Yoda, Maul, Mace, Qui-Gon, Anakin, Sidious, others. WARNING CHARACTER DEATHS!! Genre: Action/angst/betrayal/ redemption Summary: Qui-Gon makes a mistake and takes Anakin as his apprentice instead of Obi, Maul takes Obi so now there will be two Sith apprentices, Anakin and Obi and only one will survive. Padme has the twins and they are saved, but who saves them and why? who is going to save Obi-wan. Will he be saved or will he become the Sith Lord, and plunge the galaxy into eternal darkness or will the force return the light to the galaxy. Read on to find out. The fires of Evil consumed the Jedi Temple, Initiates were being slain the temple was ravaged, white clad soldiers being led by a man dressed In a black Robe carrying a Blue sabre. Jedi were dying all around him, he Was part of it, he was there . He woke with a start, the vision had gripped him in his sleep He rose from his tangled sheets, sweat, soaked him, his night shirt was damp, as he looked around the room he released a sigh, his room mates had already gone down to the showers, and first meal. He was alone, he sat back down and thought, (I am always alone they didn’t even wake me. Zabrak’s, I don’t like them, they look evil to me, both my room mates are Zabrak’s and they keep to themselves, they hardly even talk to me.) It seemed to him that all his life he was shoved from one Dorm to another. Was it because he didn’t argue and just went were they told him to go. Was it because he was to slow, too unworthy. He thought about his other vision it was different to the last one. The temple still burned and the initiates still died, and this vision horrified Obi-wan because when the man in the vision revealed his face, it was Obi-wan, and laughing could be heard behind him, he turned and stared at a Zabrak who was dressed in black and the words that flowed from that beings mouth scared Obi-wan more than anything he had ever heard, it was “Well done my apprentice and now you are ready to claim your destiny, you will rule the galaxy. He shook his head, No! I won’t believe that, he knew none of that would matter once he was chosen as an apprentice, he had to believe it would happen, that he would become a Jedi. Obi-wan didn’t understand his visions, They were just flashes, and they frightened him. He had studied the history of the Sith and it was they that brandished red sabres. But the man who killed the Jedi younglings had a blue sabre. Was he a Jedi or a Sith, Obi-wan was so confused. Obi-wan realised he was still standing in his room, he was late by the time he got to the dining hall, but luckily he did have two friends that were human and they had saved him a seat. “Thanks Garen, Reeft, I’m sure glad you saved me a seat otherwise I’ll be eating out in the hall". “So the Zabrak two some are still ignoring you” Reeft asked. “Yeah they stick together all the time and never include me in anything they do.” Obi answered. After the boys had finished eating, they all headed to class, and later in the day the choosing began. When ever a Knight or Master was available to take on another apprentice there would be a tournament so the initiates could show their training skills, and then the choosing would begin. The previous year Master Vos had requested Obi-wan as an apprentice, but Master Yoda had turned him down citing that Obi-wan was not suitable for him. Earlier this year Knight Jericho had put in a request for Obi-wan and was given the same answer by Master Yoda. This time it was Master Kimino who requested Obi-wan to be his apprentice. After the session was over Master Windu went to speak with Master Yoda asking him why he had turned Kimino down and he brought up the fact that he had turned down two others before him. “Master Yoda , is there a problem with young Obi-wan, as I wonder why you have not given approval for him to be apprenticed” he asked. “No problem with Obi-wan is there, problem with the choices of a Master for him I see.” Yoda said. “But Master Yoda, he will turn thirteen soon and if he is not chosen we will have to send him to Bandameer. I believe he is a deserving initiate and should become a Jedi.” Mace stated. “Umm deserving you say, More than just deserving he is A Jedi Obi-wan must be, but wait for the right Master I will, come he will soon and ready Obi-wan will be." “You seem confident that some one will come soon who do you have in mind,yourself? Master” Mace asked. Yoda closed his eyes. “Take him as my apprentice I cannot, not able to give him the training he requires, field training is not for me, the force agree with me it does. But know of one who will be a good teacher to him.” Yoda explained. “Who?” “Qui-Gon Jinn” “Qui-Gon! he will not take another apprentice, he has said so every time he returns to the Temple. Why do you think he doesn’t come back much, it is because you want him to take an apprentice. Master I mean no disrespect but you are playing with fire and it may be Obi-wan who gets burned.” Mace insisted. “Take him he will see it I have.” Yoda said stamping his cane. “But Master, even you yourself has said hard to see the future is that the dark side blinds us What if your plan fails and Obi-wan is removed from the Jedi.” Mace asked. “Fail it will not, but to ease your mind. Take him I will, if all else fails.” Yoda snapped. Mace left Yoda’s apartment feeling uneasy, the force was warning him, something elusive, something he should heed but it flittered around his senses. He would meditate on it, and listen to the forces urgings. Obi-wan couldn’t believe he had been passed over, he had spoken to Master Kimino and had got the impression that he wanted to take Obi-wan as his apprentice, it was like life was repeating itself, Before it was Master Jericho and last year he was sure Master Vos was going to choose him, but he didn’t either. Obi-wan was depressed he couldn’t bear to go back to his room and have to listen to the Zabrak initiates pouting about their good fortune, they had been chosen, there were many force sensitive Zabrak Jedi Knights at the temple looking for new apprentices, so the two initiates would be moving out of his room. Obi-wan wondered who would be rooming with him now, he hoped at least they could be human, and maybe even talk to him. Several weeks went by and no one was assigned Obi-wans room, for a while Obi-wan thought it was great having the room all to himself. But after some time past he began to get lonely, and his visions were coming more frequently. Fear was creeping into his heart fear of failure, fear of not being chosen. He lay in his room at night watching the shadows move around the room, lights from passing ships, shone in his room and brought with them shadows. Some times he wished he could just blend into the shadows and disappear, (No one would miss me no one would care.) he thought. He decided to test his theory, the next morning Obi-wan deliberately stayed in his room, just to see how long it would take before he was missed. As the day wore on and he maintained his shields at maximum, he sat looking out at the traffic, counting how many craft whizzed by. By mid afternoon he was getting really hungry, so he decided to sneak down to the kitchens and get some food and bring it back to his room. While he was gone Master Yoda came knocking on his door, he had been looking for Obi-wan, and had noticed the boy was no where to be found When he received no answer he overrode the door lock and went in, the room was tidy but the bed was unmade, so he presumed that Obi-wan had just slept in and was probably off to the practice rooms. Master Yoda was going to find Obi-wan and speak to him, but an urgent call came in for Yoda and so he had to attend a meeting instead. Later Obi-wan came back to his room with the food he had obtained in the kitchen, there was enough for the rest of the day. As the day lengthened Obi-wans depression grew, it was a heavy weight bearing down on him. By nightfall he was angry, what was wrong with him, why did no one want him. He got up and went out on to the balcony, it was raining, but Obi-wan didn’t care it matched his mood. He had changed into his sleep clothes, and the wind and rain soaked him in minutes, he was shivering as he rested his arms on the railings his chin was resting on his arms and he was staring far out into the distance. The shadows out there were bigger and took on grotesques shapes. Tall buildings reached high into the rain clouds, as though they were being swallowed, the tops of them disappearing in the dark clouds. It was eerie, and made Obi-wan feel peculiar it was a strange sensation of impending doom. He shivered more and before long he couldn’t feel his body it seemed to be frozen. Obi-wan looked down at himself and realised the rain that had soaked him had turned to frost, his wet clothes were sticking to him and had formed ice. Obi-wan moved his arms and the ice crushed and fell to the balcony. It was as if he was transfixed to watching the ice fall to the floor, he tried to smile, but his lips were frozen and were turning blue. Internally he laughed it was a pained cry for help, his theory would be the death of him he was freezing to death and for some reason he didn’t care. (They will find me one day frozen to this spot and wonder how long I had been here) he thought bitterly. Obi-wan closed his eyes and pushed away all thoughts of the cold and thought of himself standing in a lava pit, one of his visions had been on a planet with lots of lava. He imagined being warmed by the heat of the lava, he imagined he was sinking into it slowly, first his feet were burning and then his legs and his body, he wondered how long before his head would be burning. That was the last thought he had before the darkness enveloped him. 	NoemiTenshi Thanks. It is very different from what I usually write, a Dark Obi is fun to write and he gets to stab people. MASTER_KAYM Obi is the main character, but I suppose main characters have been known to die. 	sorry it took me a few days! but i'm here now! that was quite an intriguing beginining! this time, it's yoda i'm upset with instead of mace! granted, i know yoda means well, and he is certainly right about qui and obi being meant for each other.. but he should know that after awhile such rejection could start to really have an affect on young obi... i can't wait to see more of this! this looks to be another brilliant story from you! -----signature----- Jedi Consular- Acolytes of Revan ACOLYTES FULL SPEED AHEAD!!! 	Obi-wan woke in the healers ward, and when he opened his eyes it was Master Yoda who was watching him. “Decided to come back to us did you. Worried I was, looked for you I did. Almost too late I found you. Tell me young one what was it that made you stand out on the balcony to freeze to death.” Obi-wan watched the small Master for a moment, and whispered. “Such a powerful Jedi, why would you worry about me.?” “Not so powerful if let one so young be all alone” he answered the quiet query. “Why would you want to find me, I am unworthy of being a Jedi better to let me pass into the force save everyone the bother.” Obi-wan stated. “Unworthy you are not, see it I do powerful Jedi you will become, need only the right teacher.” Yoda answered. “Master Yoda I will be thirteen soon and as with all who reach this age, begins the journey to Bandameer.” “Not to Bandameer will you go, I have foreseen it, an apprentice soon you will be.” Yoda said. A small voice said “I hope so, because I am afraid of what might happen if I am not” Obi whispered. “Afraid, be not afraid as fear leads to the dark side youngling, it is not a path that you will travel.” “How do you know that I will not turn to the Darkside?” Obi-wan asked. “The force would not allow it, of the light you are” Yoda answered The old Master got up from his place near Obi-wans bed and said “Rest you will, all will be well soon.” Obi-wan watched the Master leave the room, and he turned his head to the window.“Fear leads to the dark side, well -I am - afraid and if no one chooses me, what’s going to stop me from walking down that path, how can I be a great Jedi, if no one wants me. I sense you are hiding something from me! Master Yoda” Several days later Obi-wan was in the training area battling another initiate, he was enjoying the moment and was winning, his opponent was a human girl and was very arrogant, Obi-wan was toying with her and she was becoming annoyed with him. He darted around parrying and striking her, he was having fun, but she was getting frustrated because “Obi-wan isn’t fighting fair” she yelled out, her frustrations taking hold of her. The fight was soon over as Obi-wan jumped over her head and she lost her balance falling flat on her bottom. The other initiates all laughed at her, Obi-wan just smiled and held out his hand to help her up, but she wouldn’t take the offered hand and stood up by her self. Obi-wan bowed to the girl who slapped him hard across the face. He never moved but brought his hand up to rub the sting of the hit. He smiled and thought (Finally some one has put you in your place,) the girl who was quite arrogant about her capabilities had embarrassed Garen and Reeft many times during sabre practice. He leaned in to her and whispered “ Did the poor baby get beaten, is your bottom sore, you don’t like it when it happens to you do you. I will make a deal with you, leave Garen and Reeft alone, and I will leave you alone?” he said quietly. She glared at him and stormed out of the arena. Obi-wan just shrugged and went to retrieve his towel. Master Yoda was there holding his towel and standing beside him was Master Qui-Gon Jinn. Obi-wan bowed and greeted the two “Master Yoda, Master Jinn”. “Obi-wan time you have to spar with Master Jinn?” the little Master asked. Obi-wans mouth dropped open and to his surprise so did Master Jinns. As Obi began to speak Master Jinn also began to speak. “Master Yoda I do not have time to spar with an initiate I have more important things to do” Jinn said. Obi-wan only got out the word “Yes.." before he trailed off and closed his mouth. “More important nothing there is, more important than the younglings, Qui-Gon?” Yoda said. Qui-Gon was fuming and it came out in his voice. “Initiate Kenobi, please leave us I have private business to discuss with Master Yoda” he snapped. “Yes Master Jinn” Obi-wan said quietly and rushed off . He glanced around the room and saw many of his peers looking at him, he got outside the door and looked for somewhere to hide before the other initiates came asking what the two Masters had wanted. He hid in the alcove behind the bench and slumped to the floor hidden by the wall. Obi-wan thought he would wait until every one left the training hall and then he would go back to his room. In a short time he heard voices and peered around the corner only to see the backs of Master Yoda and Jinn sitting on the bench, Obi-wan raised his shields even higher than they already were, and kept very still he didn’t want any one to find him and think he was eves dropping on purpose. But what he heard shattered his faith and trust even more, first Master Jinn was refusing to even consider him for an apprentice. “Master you know how I feel about taking an apprentice, I have told you many times, when the time is right and the force shows me the one that I am destined to train then I will take a Padawan." Qui-Gon stated. “Seen it I have your destiny it is linked to Obi-wan, much he can learn from you and give you something in return he will” “What might that be, another angry apprentice, no I have seen the boy of my destiny and he doesn’t come with Blue/grey angry looking eyes. In my vision I see a powerful young boy with deep blue eyes, and when I look into them I can see nothing but strength and power. I see him become a leader, he will control a great army.Qui-Gon insisted. “Visions can be deceiving, Qui-Gon, but not the only vision you have had?” Yoda commented. “Tell me of your other visions Qui-Gon” Yoda asked. Qui-Gon glared at Yoda and then he said. “I will tell you but I will not change my mind.” There is another vision one of a boy not unlike your Kenobi, with blue/grey eyes, every where I turn he is there, wanting needing, throwing himself at me, I see great passion in his eyes.I even see him as my Apprentice. But his passion is overwhelming, a Jedi should contain his emotions, not spill them out for your enemy to see. I see times of great upheaval, he causes me pain but I feel myself wanting to love him as a son.” Qui-Gon shook his head. “I cannot allow that to happen, that vision must never become reality, for I am destined to train the chosen one, and there will be no room for love it is a hard life and any apprentice of mine will understand his place as my student nothing more and nothing less." It was then that Yoda told Qui-Gon of the other Masters that Yoda had refused, that had wanted Obi-wan for their apprentice. “Several Masters I refused when asked for young Obi-wan. Refused them I did, for meant to be your apprentice he is. Did what I did for the future, Darkness come and I sense Obi-wan, a major part he will play.You must choose him” Yoda stated. “I will do what I must, and it will not be that” Qui-Gon stated. He got up from the seat and started to walk off. Yoda got up too and followed him. “Think about it Qui-Gon meditate let the force show you the right path, do not turn Obi-wan away. Sense greater upheaval, in the force if not trained as a Jedi is Obi-wan." Yoda said. “Then you take him if the force is showing you that he must be trained.” Qui-Gon said as they were getting further away. “Train him I cannot,…. need you he does, it is the will of the force.” Yoda stated trying to change Qui-Gons mind. Obi-wan moved around so he could hear them as they walked away but the farther they got the less he could hear, the last words he barely heard was “Train him I cannot”…. Obi-wan heard those words (Train him I cannot) and whispered to himself,” I knew it, Master Yoda was hiding something, Master Vos, Jericho and Kimino all wanted me and he refused them!. Why would he do that, he knows Master Jinn doesn’t want me -Why -" he said bitterly. The following week Qui-Gon was given a mission to Bandameer, several initiates Garen and Reeft were being sent to the Agri-Corps on the same vessel. Master Yoda was still trying to make Qui-Gon change his mind so he booked Obi-wan onto the ship on the pretence that he was going to Bandameer as well. Master Yoda was convinced that Qui-Gon would come to his senses and take Obi-wan as his apprentice. Over the last few days Obi-wan had become solitary and his resentment had risen, towards Master Jinn and Master Yoda. He was convinced that if the two best Jedi in the order hated him then what chance did he have in becoming a Jedi. He was stunned into that realisation when the orders came through, that he was being shipped out. The only comforting part was that he would be with Garen and Reeft. Midway into the journey the three boys were exploring the transport when a loud explosion sounded and the ship lurched to a stop. “What happened?” said Reeft. He turned to his friends who were running to the viewer, Obi-wan and Garen looked out and saw a pirate vessel, attaching anchor ties to the ship and were preparing to board. “Quick” Obi said “we must go and help before the Pirates get on board” The three boy ran towards the direction of the blast, as they reached the corridor Qui-Gon was coming around the corner. “You three come with me” he yelled over the noise of gun fire. As they got to the cargo bay the Captain and some of the crew were firing on the Pirates but they were outnumbered. Qui-Gon was giving the boys orders, he sent Garen and Reeft off to help the Captain and told Obi-wan to stay with him. The battle wore on and many civilians on board were killed or maimed, blaster fire was screeching through the ship, Obi-wan and Qui-Gon were deflecting shots with their sabres. More explosions rocked the transport and several doors blew off their hinges and parts of the craft were sucked out into space along with many Pirates, and some of the crew . There were fires breaking out all over the place and Qui-Gon ran down the corridor entering the pilots room. Obi-wan followed him and Qui-Gon pointed to the panel and yelled over the noise of gun fire. “Turn the extinguishers on” and then seal the door leading to the cargo bay” Obi-wan obeyed the first order, but his friends were in the bay. “Master Jinn if I seal the door to the cargo hold the Captain and the others will not be able to escape the Pirates” he said. “Obi-wan seal the door, it is too late to save them that last explosion probably ripped the side of that part of the ship away, they have been sucked out, and if you do not shut the door all the air will be sucked out of the entire ship." Obi-wan was torn between obeying Qui-Gon and torn that he could still sense that his friends were alive. So he hesitated. Qui-Gon strode over and pushed Obi-wan out of the way and pressed the button to close the door. He pushed Obi that hard he hit the back wall, his head hit with a loud crack, Obi-wan slid down the wall. His head was spinning and when he put his hand to the back of his head he felt moisture. He looked at his hand and there was blood on it. Qui-Gon came over “You must obey when I give you a command, I know your friends were in there but Jedi should be prepared to die if it is the will of the force. By not shutting the door the air may have escaped throughout the ship killing more innocent people, would you want that?” he demanded. Trembling Obi-wan answered “No I do not want to kill innocent people, but those people in the cargo bay are also innocent, what if the explosion didn’t rip the side of the ship away how are you so sure it did?” Qui-Gon stared at this boy who was arguing with him “I am a Jedi Master and you are a Jedi initiate and you will respect my judgement. Do I make myself clear” he snapped. “Yes Perfectly” Obi-wan glared back. Qui-Gon eyed him again. “Follow me I want to see what damage has been done.” Obi-wan, got to his feet, his head hurt but he was not going to show Master Jinn any weakness on his part. As they got closer to the cargo bay, Obi-wan could see Garen and Reeft with the Captain and some of the crew. He was glad they had survived. “Captain what happened?” asked Qui-Gon. “Well we had the Pirates backed into the corner when a blast tore a hole in the side, most of them got sucked out, and we knew the air would be sucked out as well so we rushed through the door, luckily your two Jedi were here, they sensed that the door was going to close and we just got through before it slammed shut. Otherwise we would have all died." Qui-Gon looked suspiciously at Garen and Reeft. “How may I ask did you know the door was going to shut?" he inquired. “Obi-wan told me, I sensed his warning, and he was urging us to hurry.” Garen said “You sensed Obi-wan warning you?” Qui-Gon was stunned. “Yes” Garen stated. The Captain smiled at him and said. “Well thank you Obi-wan, without your warning we would be dead now” Qui-Gon was going to say something but a shuddering grinding noise broke the silence. “What’s wrong” someone yelled. “I believe the engines are overloading," the Captain informed every one, "we had better get to the engine room and check the damage” He sent some crew to the engine room and then he ran towards the cockpit Qui-Gon Obi and the other two boys followed. The Captain disengaged the engines and set about checking for damage. “We need to set down somewhere to fix the ship, otherwise we wont make it to Bandameer." Qui-Gon spoke up and said “Gallus is just in the next sector, you could repair the ship there, and we could take another transport to Bandameer” “Yes Gallus will do” the Captain agreed. The closest space port on Gallus was in the settlement of Carvan, Qui-Gon checked the times of departure for the next transport, one would be leaving for Bandameer in two days. Qui-Gon wasn’t happy at playing nursemaid to three Agri-Corps candidates, but he certainly couldn’t just leave them by themselves. So he booked rooms at the Inn, and told the boys to remain there while he looked around. Obi-wan was quite happy to stay put, his head was still hurting and occasionally he became dizzy and needed to lay down. He was laying on the bunk when Garen and Reeft decided to explore. “You coming Obi, we don’t want to stay in here let’s go look around” Reeft said. “No I am tired, I will stay here” he answered. “Ok see’ya later Obi” Garen and Reeft said together. 	Aigh, Qui-gon! Of all stubborn, bone headed (censored)... With an attitude like that I don't blame any padawan of his for turning Dark. Who is the brown eyed kid? Doesn't Anakin have blue eyes? Reeft is going to die? Obi won't take that well... Nice update!

	Sometimes real life is more than difficult... Chapter One It seemed to him that all his life he was shoved from one Dorm to another. Was it because he didn’t argue and just went were they told him to go. Was it because he was to slow, too unworthy. He thought about his other vision it was different to the last one. The temple still burned and the initiates still died, and this vision horrified Obi-wan because when the man in the vision revealed his face, it was Obi-wan, and laughing could be heard behind him, he turned and stared at a Zabrak who was dressed in black and the words that flowed from that beings mouth scared Obi-wan more than anything he had ever heard, it was “Well done my apprentice and now you are ready to claim your destiny, you will rule the galaxy. Will Obi-Wan's vision become reality since Yoda has prevented three Master's from taking him as their apprentice? Qui-Gon strode over and pushed Obi-wan out of the way and pressed the button to close the door. He pushed Obi that hard he hit the back wall, his head hit with a loud crack, Obi-wan slid down the wall. His head was spinning and when he put his hand to the back of his head he felt moisture. He looked at his hand and there was blood on it. Qui-Gon came over “You must obey when I give you a command, I know your friends were in there but Jedi should be prepared to die if it is the will of the force. And, Qui-Gon, is it the will of the Force to hurt Obi-Wan? “Ok see’ya later Obi” Garen and Reeft said together. But unbeknown to Obi-wan that would be the last time he would see Reeft alive again. That doesn't sound good... With everything that has happened to him up to this point, Obi-Wan is certainly in a vulnerable state... Thanks for the wonderful story and PM's my friend.
