You have given me thought for food it is 8.am here and I am starving. Pancakes sound good and I just happen to have
maple syrup.

Chapter 10
Benno was making bookworms, big bookworms, each a centimetre long.
He had searched in the databank of the archive what they really were and was smiling.
Bookworms were small wriggling creatures with a silvery skin and two antennas’. They wrecked archives because their main dish was paper.
Benno made his bookworms out of mashed cat-food which he kneaded into a form of a bookworm. Silver coloured foil was wrapped around it and two pieces of iron wire were added and the worm was ready. It was put in a bag were 6 others were already waiting.
Qui-Gon was watching this and said “how do we get them in the salad of Jocasta Nu?”
Benno said “using this duct. It is leading to the restaurant where Jocasta Nu is having her lunch today.”
Qui-Gon said “but there are many restaurants in the temple. How do you know she will go to this restaurant?”
Benno said “Mace is in the archives and will ask Jocasta to accompany him to this restaurant. And he is our distraction. Come it is time to go” and Benno crawled into the duct followed by Qui-Gon. The duct led to the restaurant and one of its openings was above the food counter.
They waited until a beep from Benno’s comlink alerted them that Mace and Jocasta were entering the restaurant. A salad was placed on Jocasta’s tray and Mace began to talk excitedly about what he had learned from her. The salad was left unattended for a second and in went the bookworms.
“Time to go to the restaurant” Benno whispered and they crawled towards an exit just outside the restaurant.
Two innocent looking initiates entered the restaurant and walked towards their roommate.
Jocasta Nu was looking at her salad with a disgusting look on her face. She said “I have never known that bookworms can grow so big.”
Mace said “what are bookworms?”
Jocasta pointed at the silver creatures in her salad and said “these things, they can wreck an entire archive in no time because they multiply like rodents.”
Mace asked “can you eat them?”
Jocasta said “no and my salad is ruined by them.”
She walked towards the counter with her salad and asked “How did those bookworms end up in my salad?”
Serinka said “they could have fallen out of that duct” and he pointed upwards.
Jocasta got a frightened look on her face and said “they can be everywhere in the temple. I have to tell the council about it.”
Serinka had examined the salad and said hiccupping from laughter “you have been pranked. They are not real. It’s catfood surrounded by metal foil.”
Three initiates were hollering with laughter until master Yoda entered and said “come with me cooking lesson is about to begin.”
They followed master Yoda towards the large templekitchen.

Chapter 11
Three initiates entered the large templekitchen and were eagerly waiting for master Yoda to begin his lessons.
Yoda said as he was pointing with his gimerstick towards four tin cans “Make spinach-soup we will. Get the lid of like this” and he demonstrated this by pulling on the little ring on the lid of the can.
Qui-Gon got his tin can and being the largest and strongest initiate of the group he used a bit too much force to open it. The ring broke loose leaving only a tiny hole in the can. He looked at it with disgust and seeing the other cans emptied in little metal cookingpans he decided to put the tin can on the stove.
Next came peeling of onions and by the time the first onion was chopped into little pieces three initiates had watery eyes. Yoda was no exception.
The tin can on the stove started to make gurgling sounds and Qui-Gon was the first to notice it.
“Oh no!” he said as he was watching a disaster in the making and ducked behind the table soon being joined by Benno and Mace.
The contents contained in a small can began to cook and having no place to go they squirted out like a fountain painting the kitchen green.
Yoda had joined them and said “cooking disasters you are. No more lessons in cooking I will give. Leave it to Serinka I will”
Mace said “those big clumsy hands of Qui-Gon are responsible for this mess.”
Benno said with a small voice “Serinka is gone for three days. He is on a mission with other initiates.”
Yoda said with a grin “No problem cooking I will do.”
Mace said “now we have to eat that awful stew.”
Yoda said “stew will make big Jedi out of you.”
Three initiates gave him a disgusted look.
That evening Yoda was serving his famous stew and the initiates were very pleased when Serinka came back after three days.

How many times have I done that.
I started to chuckle
Only I didn't do what Qui-Gon did.

Cooking disasters is right.
Yes they are cooking disasters and cats are also a source of disaster. One of our firefighters found his cat in the dryer and that inspired this chapter.
Chapter 12
Serinka owned a cat and that cat was a source of joy for Qui-Gon. He often walked towards Serinka’s apartment and played with her and this afternoon he had asked Mace and Benno to accompany him.
Serinka greeted them and said “I have made cookies for you and you know: keep the cat inside my apartment. I will be gone for a few minutes to get some juice for you” and he left.
Mace had only eyes for the cookies and didn’t hear that last comment. He walked towards them and didn’t see the cat. One tiny foot stepped on one fuzzy tail.
The cat screeched and took off towards the exit of the apartment barreling between the legs of Serinka.
Serinka said “what did I tell you?”
Qui-Gon said with a very timid voice “keep the cat inside. I will search for her and get her back. I think I know where she went.”
Serinka asked “where?”
Qui-Gon answered “to knight Lisara’s cat in the laundryroom. That cat is her brother.”
Serinka and the three initiates walked towards the laundryroom and found a very agitated master Errolls yelling at knight Lisara.
“Who left that dryer open with my clothes in it. Now they are dirty again.” Errolls said and he pointed at the cat in the dryer.
Knight Lisara said “they were finished and I have opened it for you.”
Qui-Gon smiled when he peeked inside the dryer. Serinka’s cat was nested in Errolls clothes and when he took her out he said “yuck, there is poodoo on master Errols clothes.”
Master Errolls turned dark red and said “from this day on I will do my own laundry and when I do it this room should be empty of any other being.”
Serinka and the three initiates left the laundryroom as fast as their feet could carry them and Serinka smiled ‘Errolls was always so meticulous and had no love for Serinka’s cooking. He was always complaining about it.’
Serinka guided them back towards the crèche where they were met by master Yoda.
Yoda was munching on something and Mace asked , pointing at a large plasticlear sack “what are those?”
Yoda said “jellybeans they are. Taste one you do” and he gave Mace, Benno and Qui-Gon each one bean.
Mace thought ‘they are delicious and I like to taste them all.’ And a plan to obtain the entire supply of beans was forming.

I didn't update this sooner because of another story where Magin Bhik, the character in the next chapter is remembering things but here they are: the Jellybeans mayhem.
Chapter 12
Mace Windu was talking to Magin Bhik one of their crèchemates.
Magin Bhik was also nine years old and he had spiky black hair and piercing almost black eyes and he was large for his age with big hands.
Mace said “Magin I have seen something delicious and it is in the possession of Master Yoda.”
Magin asked “what?”
Mace said “jellybeans, a whole sack of them and all of a different taste and colour.”
Magin said “shouldn’t be too difficult. I can sneak in his apartment after you make a distraction.”

Master Yoda was meditating in his room when the doorbell rang. He smiled when he felt through the Force three initiates waiting for him and a fourth a short distance away. ‘Planning something mischievous they are. Letting them do it I will. Learn from it they will.’
He walked to his door and found Mace, Qui-Gon and Benno waiting at the door.
Mace said “we have found a beautiful flower in the garden of a thousand fountains.”
Qui-Gon added “and we want to know what flower it is.”
Yoda said “show me the flower you will” and he led them to the garden after closing his door and paying no attention to Benno.
Magin entered the unlocked door and removed the piece of plastiform that Benno had slid in the lock. A large sack of jellybeans was sitting on the counter in the kitchen and he grabbed it and made a beeline to the crèche.
The three others entered soon afterwards and the sack of jellybeans became a part of their game.
Playing Knights and Aces and the beans were the bettingchips. Four heaps of different colours were formed and they started playing.
Mace popped one bean in his mouth and said “delicious, try some.”
Magin tried one and soon Qui-Gon and Benno were eating them and because of the many flavours they wanted to taste, the large sack of beans diminished to a small one.
Qui-Gon said “hey no more bettingchips” as he took his last green bean.
Mace had eaten the most beans because he was the best in the game and he was feeling something in his stomach. He gave them a worried glance and said “I am sick.”
Master Yoda choose that moment to enter the room and said “had too many jellybeans the four of you. Contact the healers I will” and he took out his comlink.
A short time later master Aaqu and Kaagi and two nurses entered the room and guided the four initiates to the healer’s ward.
After treatment the four initiates were wheeled to two rooms.
Mace and Magin were guided to room number 10 and Qui-Gon and Benno to room number 9.
Master Aaqu said “they will be released tomorrow after a good night of sleep.”
Yoda observed them and said “sleeping they are. Lesson I give them tomorrow.”
