Nice song

Climb every mountain,
Search high and low,
Follow every highway,
Every path you know.

Climb every mountain,
Ford every stream,
Follow every rainbow,
'Till you find your dream.

Maybe Mace should learn to sing properly. silly

Four little terrors and Yoda sings them to sleep. sleep

Lovely post. applause

Healer_Leona haha, cute. Loved that Yoda sang as well.

Yes and it leads to more.
Thank you all for reading and here is the next chapter with two characters from my other stories.

Chapter 18

Qui-Gon was awake very early and the song and story of Yoda still played in his mind. ‘I have to see if there is more of that in the library.’
Getting out of bed and to the kitchen of the crèche he saw one of the younger crèche masters – Rian Solma – busy with making breakfast.
“Good morning master Solma”

Rian Solma, a very kind human with long flowing black hair with some grey hairs already appearing in it and smiling hazel eyes in a bronzed face, said “good morning Qui-Gon. I have heard from master Yoda that he told you a story.”

Qui-Gon answered “yes, it was a story of a boy who became a crèche-master and it was a very beautiful song.”

Rian Solma said “master Yoda told my story” and he told the interested initiate more. He finished “I became a crèche-master because I was interested from my early days in caring for children. Not all Jedi are born warriors you know and from what I have read and learned the best results are obtained when you can negotiate and prevent a war from happening at all.”

Qui-Gon said “my idea too. Wars are only good for the weapons-manufacturers and large building companies.”

Rian said “yes and speaking of it, are you interested in old history Qui-Gon?”

Qui-Gon answered “yes, I wanted to go to the library because of your story but history has my great interest.”

Rian said with a smile on his face “don’t ask young Jocasta Nu but go to Shh-kir. He will help you.”

Qui-Gon said “yep my meeting with Jocasta was disastrous but Shh-kir is nice. He helped us after we had to do work for Jocasta Nu.”

After breakfast a humming Qui-Gon walked to the archives.

Climb every mountain,
Ford every stream,
Follow every rainbow,
Till you find your dream

A dream that will need
All the love you can give,
Every day of your life,
For as long as you live.

Shh-kir was sorting data-disks when he heard the song and he smiled when he saw who entered the archives.
“Good morning Qui-Gon, what brings you to the archives?”

Qui-Gon said “good morning master Shh-kir. Yesterday master Yoda sang about a crèche-master and I met this crèche master this morning. He told me his entire story and he said I could go to you if I wanted to know more about old history.”

Shh-kir said “he is right and I think the Force guided you to me because I have a very old book for you. Come” and he walked with Qui-Gon towards one of the shelves where old books were stored.

He gave Qui-Gon an old leather-bound book and when Qui-Gon touched it he felt a warmth coming from it.

Shh-kir felt it too and he smiled ‘this book is meant for Qui-Gon and will become one of his treasured possessions.’
He said “this book is yours Qui-Gon, use it and treasure it.”

Qui-Gon was leafing through the book and found many interesting things like the building of a lightsaber in it but what him interested the most were the chapters about the living Force. He said “thank you master Shh-kir. And if you need more help in the archives I will come.”

Shh-kir said “I appreciate that, you are always welcome.”

---

Qui-Gon left the archives and coming into the crèche he saw crèche master Rian helping four year olds with their breakfast. He was telling a story and all initiates were eating silently, eager to hear more.
Qui-Gon walked to a couch and sat down with his book and started to read. Old history of the Jedi was revealed to him and he was totally immersed in the book when he felt Rian sitting down next to him.

Rian said “this book was meant for you Qui-Gon. Read and learn and become a great Jedi Knight” and he left again.

Qui-Gon was still reading when Mace, Benno, Magin and Ithil Jolin – a new boy in their group – came to ask him to accompany them to the swimming pool.
Qui-Gon went to his locker and after putting the book in his personal trunk he got his swimming gear and went with his friends to the garden.

Very interesting.

Not this book but it will trigger his interest in history of the Jedi.

Exellent post.

Thanks all for reading and it has taken me some time to update (RL and more of my stories) but here it is a new chapter

Chapter 19

Qui-Gon with his long legs was the first to reach the swimming-pool and he smiled when he saw what was bobbing in the water of the swimming pool. He blocked the way to the entrance when he saw Mace coming with the rest. “One of Kaagi’s helpers” he said to no one in particular and to Mace “it’s your special friend.”

Mace crossed his arms in front of him and righting himself so that he seemed bigger than the already big Qui-Gon and seeing the piece of purple plastic he said “since when do I have an inanimate object as a special friend?”

Qui-Gon was still blocking the way to said friend and said “it’s purple and you have a lot of purple things like socks, that old comforter you used for the rockhound and”

Magin added “he sings about purple.”

Ithil Jolin – a boy with dark brown eyes and matching curly hair – said “yes that awful song with that guy singing about corrosive rain.”

Mace huffed “it’s purple rain.”

Ithil said “and our chemistry teacher tells us that purple fluids are corrosive. You saw that in our last lesson.”

Magin smiled “yes she dropped some on her lab-coat and oops; a big hole in it. Qui-Gon let me through. I want to see that friend.”

Qui-Gon went inside followed by the others and after changing into his swimming trunks he was the last to enter the pool.

Ithil and Magin were playing with the crocodragon and Mace was at the other end of the pool not wanting to have anything to do with the purple thing.

Qui-Gon whispered “come, let’s surprise Mace” and he dove under the floating thing and started to tug it along.

Magin and Ithil followed and they reached the place where Mace was drifting lazily in the shallow water. At a signal from Qui-Gon the three boys stood and lifting the crocodragon they shouted “we are the purple dragons” and dropped the thing on Mace.

Mace grabbed the thing and scrambling atop of it he muttered “I defeat it” and he started searching for the stopper that could deflate it.

Just as he was screwing the stopper a well known voice said “ah, there they have hidden it. I should have known. Can I have it back?”

Mace said “of course Master Adin” and he pushed the crocodragon to the side of the pool.

Kaagi Adin retrieved it and walked to a bench in the garden where a plant with white flowers was about to bloom. He sat down and a soft look came into his eyes as he remembered when he had seen them the last time on his homeplanet.

Qui-Gon saw this and – interested in all things natural – he exited the pool and walked towards Kaagi. He said “nice flowers. Master Solma has one of those in the crèche garden.”

Kaagi said “I know and he has gotten the seed from Master Aaqu Maerhin. It is a plant from my homeplanet and I was hiding behind a large one when I was found by him and his master” and he told the story of his arrival at the Jeditemple with Padawan Aaqu and his master.

Qui-Gon was awed by it and remained sitting at the bench until Kaagi said “come let’s have some fun. Go and join your friends. I have a surprise for them.”

Kaagi stood up and walking to a locker he came back dressed in his swimming trunks and carrying the purple crocodragon. He took a Force assisted jump and splashed down in the middle of the swimming pool with the crocodragon keeping him afloat.

Mace was dunked by the wave because he was nearest and that got him sputtering and seeing who it was he hollered “and now that dragon is trying to defeat me again.” He started to make waves and with the others joining him that was the beginning of a big waterfight.

Between coming up and being pushed down Kaagi saw a crèche master coming into the garden and he said “end of game” before he used his arms to propel him to the edge.

Mace saw the crèche master too and said “never knew it was that late” and he went to his locker.

Qui-Gon, Ithil and Magin followed and it was an exited talking bunch of initiates that joined Master Solma on his way back to the crèche.
