	Title: Love at First Sight Author: Reynar_Tedros Characters: OC Roman Sygnus, OC Celia Genre: Romance Summary: A short, romantic vignette of a man who recalls the day he met the love of his life Disclaimer: Star Wars is the property of George Lucas. The only thing in this story that I can claim are the two original characters featured. Notes: My first fan fiction. I hope you enjoy it. Love at First Sight I love her. Ever since the first time I laid eyes on Celia, my mind has never drifted from her. Her sparkling green eyes dazzled in the sunlight, penetrating my soul like a vibroblade through water. I couldn’t stop looking into them, even just once. When I saw them looking back at me, time just seemed to stop. I lost myself, forgot where I was, who I was. It was just me and her, all alone amidst a galaxy that rushed by us in a blur. I remember it like it was yesterday. I first met her in the dazzling green hills of Naboo, when I was twenty years old and she was nineteen. I had received a dewback from my parents for my birthday, and I don’t think I’d ever stopped smiling. I felt like such a kid, and deep down, I knew I was one. I’d wanted my own dewback ever since I could remember, and finally I’d gotten one, after so many years of waiting. I wasted no time, and rushed out to the hills with it, climbing on to its back and letting her loose like there was no tomorrow. And then I saw her. She sat in a field of blooming white flowers, her long brown hair flowing in the soothing wind like a smooth wave of the lake. She was watching me as I rode, and I could see a smile on her face. I didn’t want to embarrass myself in front of such a beautiful woman, but I couldn’t help myself. I didn’t want to take my eyes off of her, I couldn’t. Before that time, I wasn’t a believer in love at first sight. But at that moment, when I could no longer feel the bucking back of the dewback, could no longer hear the raging waterfalls in the distance, could no longer see the glimmering sun in the clear sky above, that’s when I knew. Knew that she was the one for me, knew that I’d fallen in love. And I’d fallen off. I hadn’t become aware that the dewback had successfully bucked me off of its back until my body crashed into the ground below. Pain plagued my entire body, but I knew that I wasn’t seriously injured, no fractured bones or a concussion. I heard the sound of running feet behind me, and I prayed that it was her, rushing to my aid. Upon turning my head, I was relieved to find that my prayers had been answered, and an angel was sent to my aid. Or had I come to her? Either way, our paths had crossed, and my heart was beating as fast as a swoop bike. I hoped that she couldn’t hear it, hoped that she wouldn’t laugh at my sudden plague of ungainliness. “Bless my soul, are… are you alright?” she asked me. I now chuckle at the thought. Bless my soul, she said. Little did she know that my soul had been blessed just by her beauty. I looked up at her, and she looked down at me. Our sights interlocked, our gazes met. I wondered if I was dreaming, if this was only my subconscious playing tricks on me. But I shook the thought away. It was quite simply impossible for my mind to create such a fantastic image, such a woman of endless beauty and grace. “Y-yeah,” I said, quickly getting to my feet and brushing the grass off of my shirt. “Fine, just fine.” I was speaking quickly, trying to forget that I had just fallen off of a dewback in front of the most gorgeous woman in all the galaxy. She chuckled, an infectious smile painted across her stunning visage. I wondered how I was worthy of such a sight, and then wondered why she had chuckled. “You have a-” she paused, and her captivating smile widened. “A, umm.” Without warning, she quickly reached her hand up and pulled out a small flower from my shaggy and unkempt brown hair. She chuckled, and I followed suit. She probably thought it was funny, I was just plain embarrassed. I was sure that my cheeks were as red as the fires of Mustafar. We stood still for a moment, just looking at each other with smiles on our faces. I didn’t want that moment to end. I wanted to stay there forever, just looking at her. “For you,” she said, and reached her hand out to me with the flower. I looked at the white pedals for a moment, and then back at her. She was smiling, her eyes gleaming in the sunlight from above. I took the flower from her hand gingerly, and our hands touched, only for a slight moment. I’ll never forget the chill that ran down the back of my spine at that very second, and sometimes, I can still feel its presence. She sat down on the grass, pulling the bottom of her long yellow skirt beneath her legs as she did so. She looked up at me expectantly, and pet a spot beside her with her hand, beckoning me to sit beside her. I did so with great happiness, shocked to the core that she had taken an interest in me. And there we sat, talking and laughing, for hours into the night. Now, as I sit here in my home on Naboo chronicling the day that I met the love of my life and listening to the fond sound of children playing outside, I cannot help but smile. I have so many fond memories to share with you, so many memorable moments that I wish to tell you. And maybe, just maybe, I will tell you more in the future. But I’m afraid I must part with you for now. Celia just walked through the door. -----signature----- Take your protein pills and put your helmet on.

	Well, romance isn't my absolute favorite, but I said I would read and here I am . Its very well written. Hopefully we do learn more memories because thats hardly a scratch off the surface. They have children? 	I wasn’t a believer in love at first sight. This scene was funny ans well delivered. Your use of description thoughout the piece excellently set the scene and the majestic nature of the planet Naboo. there is no doubt that your OC is a romantic. Is he also Naboo royalty?
