Egads - chilling.
In the mind of darkness, Obi-Wan Kenobi deserved everything that he had received under the tutelage of Master Elad. The boy had to be destroyed because the dark side would not withstand the light that had once burned so brightly. If that light were to shine again, the fate of the galaxy would be forever changed.
Oh, my heart is just breaking for everyone - especially Obi-Wan.

Interesting. Some of Obi-Wan's "hallucinations" are actually visions. Hope the Masters will keep an open mind, and not disregard what he says as just withdrawal delirium. Obi-Wan may not be able to use the Force to help him interpret and integrate his experience, but that's no excuse for the Masters not to seek Force-given guidance when caring for him.
Great update. Loved it that Qui-Gon let his tears fall where they may. If any fell on Obi-Wan's skin, he would feel it and it would heal him, even if he were not able to be conscious of it just yet.

Poor Obi-Wan!
Great chapter!
I really could feel the helplessness that Qui-Gon and the other Masters experience when they are not able to help Obi-Wan through his withdrawal - great description!

This was so sad. He's starting to go through withdrawal and he's already looking to take his 'medicine' to relieve the pain. How horrible. Plus his visions/hallucinations are getting worse.
“No. I’ve got to find it. I have to be ready!” Obi-Wan continued to struggle fiercely against the Jedi master.
Confused, Qui-Gon asked the apprentice, “Find what? What do you have to find, Obi-Wan?”
“My medicine. It’s here somewhere. He always hides it from me. Letni gets it and hides it from me. If I don’t get if soon, I can’t…” Obi-Wan abruptly stopped his explanation, knowing that he was about to say too much. “I have to find it. Can you help me?”
This just tore at my heart.
Great job.

Miranda moved to stand beside Qui-Gon as he once again found himself unable to speak. He simply acknowledged Master Ru’tan with a nod of his head. After the Jedi master cleaned the teen's face once again, he gathered Obi-Wan’s hand in his own, allowing his own tears to spill, not caring where they landed. As Master Healer Nathe proceeded to examine Obi-Wan, Master Ru’tan and Qui-Gon kept a silent vigil.
Awwww, this chapter was so heartbreaking. I just wanted to make it better for both of them, poor Qui-Gon watching his padawan hurt while being unable to do anything about it, helplessness when your relatives are ill and hurt, is one of the worst feelings in the world. Poor Obi, looking for the drug he's so addicted to, I only hope he doesn't really hurt Qui-Gon during his hallucinations, like trying to kill him thinking he's Letni....poor thing. He needs so much love.

“He’ll get you too, Master Jinn. He’ll get you too.” Sheer terror reflected in Obi-Wan’s eyes as he continued to cry. “He’s coming. Force help me, he’s coming! NO! NO!” The padawan slumped against the Jedi master as the horror of his visions became too much for him to bear. Qui-Gon gently laid him back on the bed as the monitors began to indicate that the youth was stabilizing.
*whimpers*
This chapter was very disturbing - but in a good way. You've pulled off Obi-Wan's hallucinations perfectly. I could feel his terror so clearly. *shivers* You had me so tensed up I'm lucky I didn't pull a muscle!
These little hints are making me very, very curious about Obi-Wan's connection to the Force and why the hooded figure can't let him live. Now the figure is watching Obi-Wan's every move?? This
cannot
be good...
I think you're going to have to make that chocolate last for a few more chapters. I cleared out the Hershey company's entire stock with that last delivery.
Please post soon! You have me on the edge of my seat! A rather precarious position, let me tell you...

“I am aware of this. I would never hold him responsible for something he has no control over.” Qui-Gon attempted to hide the resentment in his voice. He knew that the soul healer was just offering her professional expertise, but he did not appreciate her assumption that he would hold Obi-Wan accountable for his actions during this difficult time.
I've not doubt you will try, but it could be far worse than you can even imagine.
Poor Obi-Wan.
I have a feeling I may be saying that alot.

That was such a sad update! Beautifully written though. At least Qui was there to comfort his poor padawan! Sorry I haven't posted in a while...why I decided to take summer college classes is beyond me at the moment. Needless to say, I'm a bit stressed at the moment. But, only one more week until I'm done till September! Anyway, sorry about that rant...lol. Great update!

Part 4
What seemed like days were actually only hours that the Jedi master had remained by his padawan’s side. He wrung the excess water out of the damp cloth, gently wiping the boy’s face and neck, as he tried to cool the fever that continued to rage. Since Obi-Wan had lost consciousness, Qui-Gon Jinn had not moved from the edge of the bed as he whispered quiet words of encouragement to his apprentice.
Qui-Gon had declined offers from both Master Nathe and Master Ru’tan to rest. The Jedi knew they meant well, but Obi-Wan needed him. He would not leave the youth to face his demons by himself. Qui-Gon thought back to what had happened right before Obi-Wan had passed out. The master couldn’t help but to be disturbed by his padawan’s fear of what he called the darkness. The Jedi was convinced that the teen had something that absolutely terrified him. He wondered if Obi-Wan would remember any of it when he woke up.
His thoughts turned back to the present as Obi-Wan began to stir. The apprentice slowly opened his eyes as he felt the cloth being lightly pressed against his skin. He weakly smiled at his master’s gentle touch. Qui-Gon returned the young man’s smile, but the lines of fatigue around the master’s eyes cause the padawan to study the Jedi closely.
“You look tired, Master,” Obi-Wan observed. He winced as he swallowed hard, noting that his throat was sore. He welcomed the cup of water that Qui-Gon offered to him. Fighting back the nausea, the youth took a small sip.
“Thank you, Master.”
“You’re welcome. How are you feeling?” The Jedi could tell the young man was hurting as he stared into eyes that betrayed his pain.
“Like I’ve been trampled by a heard of banthas,” Obi-Wan replied, snuggling under the covers to ward off the chill that constantly plagued him. The teen moaned as the movement caused pain to ripple through his weakened body.
“I’d forgotten how much this hurts. Master Elad usually didn’t let it go this far.” The padawan tried to smile at Qui-Gon once again, but found that he couldn’t summon the energy to muster a small one.
“Is there anything that I can get you?” the Jedi asked. Qui-Gon desperately wanted to do something for his apprentice in order to ease his suffering. The Jedi considered himself to be a man of action, but now he was relegated to being a helpless bystander.
“No. I just want this to be over. I’m so tired,” the padawan admitted. “Maybe if I could just have a little medicine, it would make it better.”
“I’m sorry, Obi-Wan. What you’re seeking is only a temporary solution. I know that the only thing on your mind is making the pain go away, but believe me, you’ll be worse off than before.” Qui-Gon watched as Obi-Wan’s expression changed from agony to anger.
“You have no idea what is on my mind! Do you know what it feels like when everything you do causes you pain? Do you know that I’m so tired of being in pain and feeling this way that I’m willing to take that drug for the rest of my life as long it makes the pain go away?” Obi-Wan closed his eyes as he tried to quench the fire burning within him. He wanted to lash out even more at the Jedi master, but realized that this would not help him. The teen had learned long ago that being disrespectful to your master was an offense that led to severe punishment.
“I just want to stop hurting,” the apprentice whispered. “Please, make it stop. Just one more time and then I won’t ask for it anymore.”
“No, Obi-Wan,” Qui-Gon firmly answered. He cupped Obi-Wan’s feverish cheeks into his large hand and forced the padawan to look at him. “That isn’t the way. Now, I’m going to help you through this, just like I promised.”
Obi-Wan pulled back from Qui-Gon as the anger once again returned to the padawan’s eyes. “I don’t want your help! I just want my medicine! Why won’t you give it to me? What are you trying to do to me?”
The apprentice felt the bile rise in his throat as he quickly leaned over the side of the bed, looking for the waste receptacle. The sensation to vomit turned into violent dry heaves for the teen. Obi-Wan felt Qui-Gon wrap his arms around his thin frame as he silently offered his support.
Satisfied that he was through, Obi-Wan collapsed back onto the bed. Dark circles were beginning to form under his eyes, making the apprentice seem even more vulnerable. “I’m sorry, Master Jinn. I’m sorry.”
Qui-Gon smiled at his padawan as he wrung out the cloth and placed it on Obi-Wan’s forehead. “You have nothing to be sorry for. Just try and rest.”
“I can’t. It’ll come for me.”
“You’re safe here. I won’t let anybody hurt you,” Qui-Gon assured the youth.
“You won’t be able to stop it. Nobody can stop it.” Obi-Wan closed his eyes as he allowed himself to drift off into a fitful slumber. His body was in constant motion as the boy continued to mumble incoherently. It was as if Obi-Wan were trying to hide or get away from something that absolutely terrified him.
Sitting there watching his padawan fight the images that only he could see was exhausting for the Jedi master. Qui-Gon would not give into the fatigue, but he would release it to the Force and draw upon the renewed strength that only the Force could provide. The Jedi felt the presence of Master Ru’tan standing beside him. He knew that she had been a witness to their entire conversation, but had not chosen to acknowledge her presence until now.
“How much longer does he have to go through this?” inquired the Jedi master. His gaze remained fixed on the tormented form writhing in the bed.
“The worst of it should be over in another day or so. It’s not easy is it?” Miranda slowly moved to the other side of the bed, opposite of Qui-Gon.
“No, it’s not,” came the simple reply.
“You seem to be holding up well,” observed the soul healer.
“This isn’t about me; it’s about Obi-Wan.”
“You’re his master, so indirectly it is about you.”
“When will the craving go away?” Qui-Gon asked in an attempt to change the subject.
“It was hard telling him no, wasn’t it? Your first instinct is to take away his pain, but yet you knew that you could not give him what he was asking for. You weren’t expecting him to resent you for that, were you?”
The soul healer waited patiently for the Jedi master’s response. For the first time since the beginning of their conversation, Qui-Gon looked at Miranda, his steely gaze meeting her questioning one.
“No, I wasn’t. Are you happy?”
“I wasn’t trying to prove a point. I was trying to get you to admit that this is just as hard on you as it is him. I know that you are being strong for your apprentice, but who is going to be strong for you?”
“I’m more than capable of taking care of myself. Like I said, our focus should be Obi-Wan.” The Jedi master turned his attention back to his apprentice.
“He keeps saying that the darkness is coming for him. What do you think he means?” Qui-Gon had been puzzled by the fact that Obi-Wan had mentioned this on two separate occasions. The second time, he had been calm and not in the throes of a hallucination.
“I’m not sure. The next time that he is awake, if I can, I’ll talk to him about it,” Miranda stated. “I’m going to step out and speak with Master Nathe for a moment. Call me if you need anything.”
“I’ll be fine,” Qui-Gon said as he laid Obi-Wan’s braid across his shoulder. “We’ll both be fine.” The Jedi master moved to the chair as Master Ru’tan left the room. Closing his eyes, he surrounded himself with the Force and sought the guidance that he needed in order to help his apprentice fight the battle he was facing.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Master Plo Koon stood before his peers in the Council Chambers waiting for the questioning to begin. He stood tall under the scrutiny from his fellow council members. The Jedi master knew that the plan to discredit Padawan Kenobi was already underway and he was prepared to take the next step.
“Master Plo Koon, know why you are here?” Master Yoda began.
“I believe so, Master Yoda. I’m here due to a misunderstanding,” the Jedi stated with confidence.
“A misunderstanding? Explain you will.”
“I believe that I have been wrongly accused of conspiring against Padawan Kenobi, when I was actually trying to help the boy.”
“Help him? How were you trying to help him?” Master Windu inquired. “Every time Padawan Kenobi appeared before this Council, you did your best to belittle and intimidate him.”
“If I may speak freely?”
Master Windu glanced at Yoda, who nodded his approval. “Very well,” Mace said. “Proceed.”
“Padawan Kenobi stated that he never saw me at the so called meetings, but yet because I was Knight Griddon’s former master, I knew what was going on. I admit that Knight Griddon came to me with a concern about Padawan Kenobi and I offered my advice, but that is the extent of my involvement.”
“What did Knight Griddon seek counsel for?”
“He was concerned about a young man who was drabbling in the dark side. It turns out that this young man was Padawan Kenobi. It seems that Padawan Kenobi had a habit of disappearing from the Temple at different times. Master Elad had asked Knight Griddon and Masters Su’cim and Kirloth to help him search the city. They found him in some very undesirable places for a Jedi padawan to be and would bring him back.
“Master Elad believed that the Padawan Kenobi had tremendous potential due to his extraordinarily high midichlorian count. Few knew of this and he asked Knight Griddon and the others to keep this a secret so Padawan Kenobi would not be singled out. So whenever there was a problem, Master Elad naturally sought the council of the three Jedi that had already helped him. Knight Griddon was often asked to help Obi-Wan with his studies, because Master Elad felt that Obi-Wan would thrive more under private tutelage. My advice was sought because I was a Council member and for no other reason.”
“Why didn’t you bring this before the whole Council? If there is a possibility that Obi-Wan was drabbling in the dark side, as you said, why wasn’t he brought before the Council so it could be dealt with?” Master Windu inquired.
“Master Elad asked me not to. He was convinced that he could help Obi-Wan and I chose to give him that opportunity. I guess when Master Elad was murdered, I was angry at Padawan Kenobi for betraying his master and angry at myself for not doing something sooner.” Satisfied with his performance, Plo Koon waited for the Council’s next question.
“Sense deceit in you I do,” Yoda stated as he leaned forward in his chair.
“Pardon me, Master Yoda. If there is anyone that has deceived the Council, it is Padawan Kenobi. I still believe that your fondness of the boy blinds you to his faults.”
“I am completely aware of his faults,” replied Yoda. “Just as I am completely aware of yours. Unworthy are you to call yourself a member of this Council. You may not be directly involved in the abuse that Padawan Kenobi endured, but knew of it you did. Stood by and did nothing, you did!”
“Padawan Kenobi was and still is full of nothing but darkness. Master Elad did everything in his power to turn him towards the light and look where it got him!” Plo Koon heard the gasps of the other Council members as he raised his voice to Master Yoda.
“There was no darkness in him before he became Master Elad’s padawan. His light will shine again, no thanks to you. For your involvement in this, no longer a position within the Council will you retain. We will further explore your statement and then decide your future as a Jedi.” Yoda climbed down and hobbled over to Master Plo Koon. Motioning for the Jedi to kneel, Yoda leaned over and whispered in Plo Koon’s ear. “The only darkness I sense is in you.”
Yoda straightened up and dismissed the former Council member. Turning to face the other members, Yoda sighed as he reached out for the comfort that only the Force can provide. “Much to consider we have. Bring forth Knight Griddon, and Masters Su’cim and Kirloth before the Council this afternoon and search their thoughts we must.”
“We will reconvene after the noon meal,” Mace instructed, dismissing the remaining Council members. Lagging behind, the dark-skinned Councilor pulled out a small leather bound journal and handed it to Master Yoda.
“What is this?”
“It was found when Master Elad’s quarters were cleaned. Apparently, Obi-Wan kept some sort of a journal. I didn’t read it; I felt that perhaps you or Qui-Gon should read it. Maybe it will provide some answers that we seek.” Master Windu quietly left Yoda alone in the massive chambers, holding the tattered book.
Yoda tucked the journal safely within the confines of his own robe as he slowly made his way to the lift. He needed to go to the healer’s wing. The Jedi master wanted to check on Obi-Wan and tell Qui-Gon of the latest developments. Yoda knew that the young man, whom had taken up residence in his heart long ago, would be fighting for his life in more ways than one.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Master Ru’tan stood quietly against the door frame allowing Master Jinn the privacy he needed to complete his meditation. The Jedi master definitely needed this time to renew his mind and his body. She studied the restless form of Padawan Kenobi as he continued to struggle against an unseen enemy. He sat up suddenly and glanced around the room as if he were searching for something or someone. Miranda quickly moved to the teen’s side, hoping that the apprentice would not disturb Qui-Gon.
“Padawan Kenobi, you’re safe. Can I get you anything?” She placed a delicate hand on the youth’s arm for reassurance.
“Where is he?” Obi-Wan asked.
“Where is who? Obi-Wan, who are you looking for?”
“My…my master. Where is he?” Obi-Wan was becoming agitated as his eyes continued to dart about the room.
“I’m right here, Obi-Wan.” Qui-Gon had sensed his apprentice’s fear and apprehension and had rapidly brought himself out of his meditative trance. He stood up and started to sit back down on the edge of the bed so he could be closer to Obi-Wan. The Jedi master froze when his padawan backed away from him.
“No, you’re not my master. What am I doing here? What are you going to do to me this time?”
“Obi-Wan, listen to me,” Master Ru’tan ordered. “You are in the healer’s wing with your master, Qui-Gon Jinn. Where do you think you are?”
“I…I…don’t know. I don’t want to be here. I hate it here.” Obi-Wan drew his knees up to his chest and began to rock. “Bad things happen here,” he whispered.
“What bad things?” Qui-Gon asked. He was hopeful that Obi-Wan would continue talking, then perhaps he could begin to piece together some of what the young man had lived through.
“Bad things,” Obi-Wan repeated.
“Can you tell me what kind of bad things?” Miranda asked the question once again, hoping that the teen would respond to her.
Obi-Wan continued to rock back and forth, ignoring the two Jedi masters and their questions. He couldn’t tell anybody about the bad things. A Jedi endures pain and humiliation without complaint. That is what Master Elad had told him and that is what he believed.
“Please just leave me alone,” pleaded Obi-Wan as he wiped away the tears that threatened to fall.
Qui-Gon sat down on the edge of the bed and called out to the young man. “Obi-Wan? You’re safe. I promise you that you are safe. No one is going to hurt you.”
Obi-Wan raised his head and wiped the remaining traces of the tears away. “I’ve asked you once before not to make promises that you can’t keep.”
“I don’t do that. You know that the word of a Jedi is sacred and not to be taken lightly.” The Jedi master did not want to sound like he was correcting Obi-Wan, but he wanted the teen to realize that he upheld his word.
Qui-Gon wasn’t convinced that Obi-Wan had heard him as he watched his padawan begin to wring his hands as if he were washing them. “Obi-Wan, what’s wrong?”
“It won’t come off,” Obi-Wan answered tersely while he furiously rubbed his hands together. “It won’t come off.”
“What are you talking about? What do you see?” Qui-Gon reached out a clasped Obi-Wan’s hands into his own, stilling the youth’s desperate gestures.
“Now it’s on you. The blood is on you! Get away from me! Why did you make me do this?” Obi-Wan screamed at the Jedi. “Get away!”
The padawan yanked his hands free and placed them over his ears and began rocking again. “I can’t do this! Please don’t make me do this, Master Elad!”
Qui-Gon quickly disguised the hurt that had come over him when Obi-Wan had called him by his former master’s name. He swallowed hard and began to reach for the youth’s hand once again when Master Ru’tan placed a prohibiting hand on the Jedi’s arm. She shook her head indicating that she wanted to try and speak with Obi-Wan.
Reluctantly, Qui-Gon stepped back and allowed the soul healer to address his padawan. The master was impressed by the compassion and understanding that radiated from the soul healer. Her voice was quiet and gentle when she called Obi-Wan’s name.
“Obi-Wan, look at me.” Miranda waited patiently and when she didn’t receive a response, she repeated her command with a bit more authority. She sensed that the youth would not disobey a direct mandate of any kind. It had been engrained in the youth to obey unconditionally. She sighed in relief as Obi-Wan looked at her, his cerulean eyes begging for someone to help him.
“Look at that man sitting next to you,” Master Ru’tan instructed as she pointed towards Qui-Gon. “Who is that?”
“Master Jinn,” Obi-Wan softly answered, embarrassed by the raging emotions that continued to dominate his thoughts.
“You realize who Master Jinn is, don’t you?”
“My master,” Obi-Wan replied. “I’m tired.”
“I know you are, but I think it would help you to talk about some of the things that you’re seeing,” suggested the soul healer.
“I can’t. I can’t tell anyone.” Obi-Wan turned away from Master Ru’tan and lay back down on the bed. “I don’t know what’s real anymore. I don’t know who’s real anymore. I just want it all to stop.”
The two masters and the padawan were silent. The only sound in the room was the continuous beeping of the monitors. Miranda and Qui-Gon exchanged concerned glances as they allowed Obi-Wan a few moments of solitude. Both the master and the soul healer were surprised when the door opened and Master Yoda entered the teen’s room.
“Master Yoda? What are you doing here?” Qui-Gon asked.
“I wanted to check on Obi-Wan.” Instead of asking the two Jedi, Yoda made his way to Obi-Wan’s side. “How feel you?”
When the teen didn’t answer, Yoda climbed up in the bed beside him. “Just because you don’t feel well, doesn’t mean that you should not answer my question. Now, how feel you?”
“Afraid,” Obi-Wan finally replied.
“Blame you, I do not. Work out it will, the Force has deemed it so.”
Yoda sat down on the edge of the bed, turning to face Qui-Gon and Miranda. Qui-Gon saw his mentor pull out something from the confines of his robe. Master Yoda handed the worn out book to Master Jinn.
“What’s this?” Qui-Gon asked.
“Found it was in Obi-Wan’s old room. It is a journal. Read it has not been. Since you are his master, I am giving it to you. Many new questions are arising, more answers we need.”
“This is Obi-Wan’s private journal. I will not read it without his permission,” Qui-Gon informed the elder Jedi.
“That is between you and your padawan. Just know that his credibility is being questioned. A help this journal could be to ensure that this does not happen.” Yoda climbed down off the bed and walked towards the door. Glancing back towards the young man in the bed, Yoda said, “Care for you we do. Get better you must.”
The padawan didn’t acknowledge Master Yoda. His eyes were fixated on the object in his master’s hand. After hearing the door close, Obi-Wan extended his trembling fingers towards Qui-Gon, “I’ll take that now.”
“What?” The request took Qui-Gon by surprise. He didn’t realize that Obi-Wan had been listening to the conversation between himself and Yoda.
“My journal. I’ll take that now.”
“Obi-Wan, I…”
”I said that I’ll take that now! Give it to me!” the padawan demanded.
Obi-Wan knew that he shouldn’t have yelled at his master, but to him, that was the last thing he was worried about. As Qui-Gon handed him the book, Obi-Wan held it tightly against his chest. He couldn’t believe that it had been found. The youth recalled the severe punishment that he had received when Master Elad had discovered that he had been keeping a journal. Obi-Wan was convinced that his former master had destroyed it. Now, it was back in his possession and no one would ever discover its contents.

Oh, my poor boy.
The horrors of addiction...the horror of the one who has to stand by.
I like this healer.
Aw...Jedidas3 make it stop soon. It hurts.
You paint such a believable picture of internal pain - it's wonderful how you bring us into it and hurt almost as bad as the characters.

RE: The Best of Intentions (Obi-Qui, AU) Sequel to The Truth Shall Set You Free Updated 8/9! Thank
What seemed like days were actually only hours that the Jedi master had remained by his padawan's side. He wrung the excess water out of the damp cloth, gently wiping the boy's face and neck, as he tried to cool the fever that continued to rage. Since Obi-Wan had lost consciousness, Qui-Gon Jinn had not moved from the edge of the bed as he whispered quiet words of encouragement to his apprentice.
Qui-Gon had declined offers from both Master Nathe and Master Ru'tan to rest. The Jedi knew they meant well, but Obi-Wan needed him. He would not leave the youth to face his demons by himself. Qui-Gon thought back to what had happened right before Obi-Wan had passed out. The master couldn't help but to be disturbed by his padawan's fear of what he called the darkness.
He weakly smiled at his master's gentle touch. Qui-Gon returned the young man's smile, but the lines of fatigue around the master's eyes cause the padawan to study the Jedi closely.
"You look tired, Master" Obi-Wan observed. He winced as he swallowed hard, noting that his throat was sore. He welcomed the cup of water that Qui-Gon offered to him. Fighting back the nausea, the youth took a small sip.
"Thank you, Master."
"You're welcome. How are you feeling?" The Jedi could tell the young man was hurting as he stared into eyes that betrayed his pain.
"Like I've been trampled by a heard of banthas," Obi-Wan replied, snuggling under the covers to ward off the chill that constantly plagued him. The teen moaned as the movement caused pain to ripple through his weakened body.
"I'd forgotten how much this hurts. Master Elad usually didn't let it go this far." The padawan tried to smile at Qui-Gon once again, but found that he couldn't summon the energy to muster a small one.
This was so touching. I was getting all misty-eyed. *sniff*
Then you give us
-slimy (Plo Koon)... yet satisfying (Yoda!!!)
And a secret journal! I just hope that Obi-Wan doesn't destroy it!

Qui-Gon returned the young man’s smile, but the lines of fatigue around the master’s eyes cause the padawan to study the Jedi closely.
“You look tired, Master,” Obi-Wan observed.
Obi-Wan noticed his Master's fatigue despite all the pain he is in - very sweet! I think they will be a formidable team once Obi-Wan is healthy!
That was another fantastic chapter
I don't know if I should pity rather Qui-Gon or Obi-Wan:
Obi-Wan is in so much pain, you described perfectly his condition, his begging for his medicine, his hallucinations, ...
Poor boy!
The Jedi considered himself to be a man of action, but now he was relegated to being a helpless bystander.
And Qui-Gon has to sit there and is unable to act - that must be a terrible feeling.
Motioning for the Jedi to kneel, Yoda leaned over and whispered in Plo Koon’s ear. “The only darkness I sense is in you.”
Yeah, go for it, Yoda!

This was wonderful. I loved how you depicted his confusion and withdrawal. Poor kid.
For some reason, this made me really feel his exhaustion.
Great job.

Poor Obi-Wan.
I just want it to stop for him also, but it looks like that is going to take some more time. I don't like whatever it is that dark and shrouded has up his sleeve, and I somehow sense that Obi-Wan is going to become more mentally vulnerable to him.
Now, I am intensely curious about what is in that journal. Obi-Wan is certainly very protective of it. I wonder if this is going to cause problems. I bet if Qui-Gon chose to look and Obi-Wan caught him, it might trigger some very horrible memories.

Once again, wonderful post! I'm worried about Obi though. Between the hallucinations and Plo being evil he's in some serious trouble! Don't hurt him too much!
