three of the twenty-four masters were found in their beds, appearing for all the world that they died in their sleep, save for three long, red cuts on each of their left cheeks
Yikes!
I'm very concerned over Evia's mysterious return to the Temple and I hope she and her padawan will have time to talk before or on the way to Kotumba.
Great update

I would hate to have visions at night. You're sleeping, it's supposed to be peaceful...
Great job with this!

Thanks to everyone for reading!
Trika_Kenobi: Thanks. This mission will be most interesting, I guarantee, but whether or not her interest in the Sith will bring...trouble is still up in the air... It'll bring something, that's for sure.
SUGARBANTJINN: wow! the plot thinckens!
I know, it can be confusing trying to keep everything straight... Evia has very good reasons for keeping things to herself, I assure you...
Meredith_Kenobi: Evia is definitely acting in a very mysterious manner. What reason does she have to hide things from her Padawan? Veeeery curious.
That she is. I've always pictured Evia as a mysterious type of person, but I will tell you that she is acting even more so as of late... Like I said before, she has very good reasons to keep things hidden from Cleaya.
jedidas3: Thank you.
I have a bad feeling about this mission...
As you should. It'll be rather interesting, and I am looking forward to writing it. I've been picturing how it will go since December, and many things have been added since then, and more and more things keep popping in, so we'll see what ends up happening.
Thanks for the PM!
You're welcome!
arthurweasley: All I can say is "Mwahaha..." Don't worry though, it'll all work out... Maybe...
KELIA: Heh, yeah, I just read that part over this morning. My excuse for its kinda morbidity is I wrote that scene late at night... They will talk, but it might not be in the most orthodox way. I haven't decided yet.
Fel_Freak228: Thanks. I hope the next entries will be good enough to satisfy your curiosity a bit.
Blue_Lightsaber42: I know, I wouldn't be too pleased if something like that happened to me as well, but unfortunately I took that whole last part, when she woke up from the vision and wrote from times when I wake up from nightmares and just write for a bit. Sheesh, I never knew my own life would affect this story this much...
The next entry will be posted early next week. Originally I was going to write a series of small entries for the trip to Kotumba, but let us just say some angry plot bunnies have visited me. I am so excited. ((scurries off to write))

Right, I know this isn't the beginning of the week, but in all honesty I forgot about posting the next update. So here it is. These next five or so posts will be a little strange to say the least, because Cleaya decided she wanted to write an entry for every day of traveling, even if there is nothing to say. Should be fun.
*****(())*****
The Next Day –
Travel Day 1
*****(())*****
I've been awake since the vision returned last night. Evia does not know anything about my vision yet, or that it even exists, but I'll wait to tell her until we are traveling. Stars know that we’ll need something to occupy us. At the final mission briefing this morning, we were told that it will take five standard days to reach Kotumba. Writing every day shouldn’t be too much of a challenge, but I honestly don’t know what I'll write about. We are taking a private ship, and Evia and I'll be piloting, so it will be just us and a small confined space, which should lead to some interesting conversations, but not much else. Our scheduled time of departure is within the hour, so for now I should go and prepare myself.
*****(())*****
Two Hours Later
*****(())*****
Our ship is very small. The interior is only a cockpit that comfortably holds three, and one small cabin with two bunks. The refresher is smaller than an average-sized closet, with a very low ceiling on which I've already bumped my head twice. All in all, it’s a rather decent ship, but I'll be very glad to get out and move around any chance I get. This evening we’ll be docking at Delaya, in the Alderaan system. We'll only be stopped for nine hours, which is more then enough time to refuel and catch some sleep, although I don’t know how much time of that will be spent sleeping for me. I am thinking after a long day of traveling I'll be outside as much as possible.
Evia and I've not said much to each other since we first left Coruscant airspace. She has been caught up in her thoughts and I in my own. Nevertheless, that is perfectly fine by me. For the past hour I've been meditating on the vision, trying to gather my thoughts so I can tell Evia exactly what happened (I’m glad I wrote it down here right after it happened. That is helping).
*****(())*****
Five Hours Later
*****(())*****
Sitting patiently while on the way to a mission has never been my strong point. The ceiling on this ship is too low to practice my lightsaber katas or spar without fear of really damaging something. Evia has been meditating for the past hour, but I can sense she is getting somewhat antsy as well. Maybe in a little while she will tell me about her vision. She did promise she would tell me today, after all. I can’t imagine that something such as a mission would change her promise.
*****(())*****
Three Hours Later
*****(())*****
It is the eighteenth standard hour. There’s only three more hours of traveling before we reach Delaya. We could get there a lot quicker if Evia would allow me to push the speed a bit, but no, she says we are going at a quick enough pace as it is, and she was probably remembering the last time I pushed the speed “just a little bit." We nearly ended up colliding with a slow moving freighter with an exceptionally good cloaking device.
*****(())*****
Four Hours Later
*****(())*****
I've yet to figure out how certain space pilots can sit through jumps longer then the one we just did and don’t go insane. Then again, their ships probably aren’t as claustrophobic as Jedi transports. At any rate, I can’t describe how good it feels to be standing in open air again. The only thing that taints this feeling is the knowledge that I've to endure four more days of this. By the stars, how I loathe flying.
*****(())*****
Two Hours Later
*****(())*****
Though my watch says it’s midnight, it’s midday here on Delaya, which has really thrown Evia and me off balance a bit. I've given up on the thought of sleeping (a day of sitting around doing nothing but write and meditate does that to a person), so Evia has granted me permission to go for a walk around Dela, the capital we are docked in. She will not be accompanying me, for she says that there is a lot on her mind. When I arrive back at the ship, she told me we will talk.
*****(())*****
An Hour Later
*****(())*****
This whole city is very unusual for me. Growing up on Coruscant, I have grown accustomed to going for days without seeing true nature. The Room of a Thousand Fountains doesn’t really count since it’s man-made. But this Dela is just as bustling a city as some sections of Coruscant, if not more so, but there is one glaring difference. A large park filled with fountains and ponds and bright green grass is the focal point of the city, and a kind old woman has told me that it is completely natural, that the city was built around this one section. Quite an interesting concept. I have to admit, sitting here brings me peace, even with space lanes surrounding me, I can’t hear anything but the trickle of fountains and the faint roar of a waterfall.
I have been sitting in this park since the moment I found it, just simply observing everyone who walks past. Sitting here, I can forget that I am on my way to a stricken planet where leaders have been assassinated. I’ll have to remember soon, we leave for the next port in eight hours. I suppose I should go back to Evia now.
*****(())*****
Thanks to Trika_Kenobi for last minute betaing services when I realized in a panic I hadn't run the last bit through TrulyGhent, who had just left the computer and normally betas for me. Thank you!
And remember, I accept any criticism you have. Please give me some, so I know what needs to be fixed.

Dern padawans, drivin' all about without looking in their blind spots!
Super update. I, too, hate lengthy trips unless it's a "road trip" free-for-all with friends. Being awkward in your master's presence, though? Not so much. I wonder when Evia will start talkin' to Cleaya...
Great job. I'll always be ready for more.

I'm glad to see Cleaya get some time to stretch her legs and enjoy fresh air.
That's always a nice break when you're traveling for a long period of time.
I just wish Evia would have gone with her...they could have started talking a bit.
ah well.
Great update

I can tell that you've done a lot of traveling in tiny cars. I like that Cleaya is drawn to the park. But she hasn't really talked to Evia!! I'm on the edge of seat!!! What's going to happen! Aaaaaah!!!

You actually had me feeling claustrophobic with this update, silverfighter! Makes me wonder how those X-wing pilots do it. It can't be very pleasant.
Well done! I'm looking forward to more.

Trika_Kenobi: Yeah, much of Cleaya's feelings for this trip are mirrored of my own when I'm stuck in the backseat of the mini-van with bags and junk on either sides.
I wonder when Evia will start talkin' to Cleaya...
This update, unless I get better ideas. Thank you very much for reading!
SUGARBANTJINN: Normally not much, but these are... unusual circumstances. You'll see for yourself what I mean, though. It'll be updated soon, don't worry! I just hope it'll satisfy your curiosity. Thanks for reading.
jedidas3: Thank you! I'm actually curious to see what happens to them myself as I am struggling to decide between two things that will make things a tad... unsettling. I'm leaning more heavily on the one that is much more unsettling then the other, so beware.
KELIA: That's always a nice break when you're traveling for a long period of time.
Don't I know it.
I just wish Evia would have gone with her...they could have started talking a bit.
They will have their time to talk, and it will be soon. Thank you for reading!
arthurweasley: I can tell that you've done a lot of traveling in tiny cars.
Lol, yeah. About four to five times a year we drive about two to four hours to visit extended family, and I always somehow manage to get shoved in the backseat, which wouldn't be so bad if I wasn't claustrophobic. I drew from those experiences.
But she hasn't really talked to Evia!! I'm on the edge of seat!!! What's going to happen! Aaaaaah!!!
She will! Calm down! Lol, I must be doing something right to get someone that worked up. Thanks!
Blue_Lightsaber42: You'll find out, you'll find out. Like I said before, I just hope it satisfies your curiosity. Thanks for reading!
TrulyGhent: Did you really? Sheesh, I thought I was just going nuts. As to if you're forgiven... Hmmm, I'll have to think about it... Thanks for both betaing and reading this story for me.
Fel_Freak228: Wow, thanks. I'm glad you like it, now all I have to do is hope you like the rest of the story and that anything I wrote that was good wasn't just a fluke.
Meredith_Kenobi: Did I really? As you can tell, Cleaya will never be a pilot for long distance jumps someday. Thanks for reading!
My goal is to have the next entry up by the weekend, since I only have about half of it written, so I'm just hoping that nothing comes up that I won't be able to post it (or forget to post it again ). Thank you all for continuing to read this! It makes me very happy to see all these responses.
