Valairy_Scot posted:“I have no time for snivelling wimps like yourself. I’m just glad you’ll be gone.” The words obviously hurt the young man, he simply closed his eyes, and called on the Force to calm him. Once he was sure that his emotions were in check, he spoke again. “I just wanted you to know that I never hated you Bruck, and I was hoping we’d be able to put our differences to one side some day. But I guess that’s not going to happen.” He said, his voice full of regret. Bruck sneered at the young man, “No it isn’t, as you’re going where you belong you no good waste of blood and organs. Just go, and spare me your self righteous prattle.” The young man looked at Bruck in the eyes, his own eyes displaying such a depth of sadness. Bruck tried to hold eye contact for as long as possible, but found he couldn’t. He had to turn away. The young man grabbed his bag and made for the door. As he walked past the young bully, he whispered, “Goodbye Bruck, and may the Force be with you.” That Bruck is - is - so mean-spirited. I can't believe this type of bullying is allowed or unrecognized. And Obi-Wan - whoa - mature attitude - despite everything.
Gkilkenny posted: Ah, a different aspect of their relationship. Bruck as usual is the Jedi orders worst problem, and no one seems to see it or do anything about it. Then there is Obi-Wan a bright light in the force who gets sent away. I did not understand it when Jude Watson wrote it, I hope EGKenobi can explain it in this story. Good start.
KELIA posted:nitiate Obi-Wan Kenobi made his way towards the hanger bay What a heartbreaking start. Please PM me when you update. I can't wait to see what happens next...I just hope it's not really the Agri corps for Obi.
Lolly_Tolly posted:A wonderful start! Truly touching! Also, it gave me a plot-bunnie that has absolutely nothing to do with your fic, trust me. If you have a PM list, please add me!
Bastet posted:Ooh, I'm really liking this so far. I'm glad Mace made those bullies apologize to Obi-Wan, all those things they were saying were so horrible! Poor Obi-Wan, how could they be sending him away?! Actually, since the transport to Bandomeer left without him, maybe they're not sending him away. I wonder what the Council is going to say to him? Can I please be on your PM list when you update?
