	Title: A Warrior without a cause Author: CPL_Macja Character: OC Mandalorian: Preal Renn (Tie into Journeyman Knight Series) 40 BBY; Concord Dawn I am verd, a warrior, or at least that is what my “people” would call me. It seems weird to me to be called such a strong word at the young age of thirteen standard years. Of course to some of my tat I am dar’manda since I was born to an aruetyc aliit. I have had to leave my aliit and under go gai bal manda to try and cleanse myself of the brand of aruetii. I guess some people forget that aliit ori'shya tal'din. Now that I have gone through verd’goten I can start making a new name for myself. Soon I will depart from this cursed planet and strike out on my own. Soon everyone will remember the my aliit as kote aliit. 	40 BBY; Concord Dawn It is hard for me to have to hate my true last name… Montross. I have lived without for so long… but it is still my true last name. After the infamous incident that happened 12 years ago on Korda 6 my father has been in hiding. My mother, not wanting to have me become dar’manda, left my sister and me with our aunt, her sister, 8 years ago and that is how I became a Renn. But if you ask me I will always be a Montross. Mom always told me that Dad was the one who had been betrayed, not Jaster Mereel. The then Mand’alor blamed my father for the poor performance of Jaster’s prized Supercommandos. Mereel wanted to run from the Battlefield dishonoribly, but my father refused and lead his troops in a glorious charge. But Mereel abandoned them. Only after my father was stunned by an enemy grenade did the betrayer return. Once my father had come to his senses the Mand’alor had already been cut down by the ambushing Death Watchers. Dad promised to take care of the Mandalorians, but they turned their backs on him and declared him hut'uun, a coward. I don't hate the name Montross, I hate having to hate the name Montross! I know that there are some members of the Death Watchers out there… I vow to find them, join them, and return to destroy the “True” Mandalorians, those hut’uunla chakaare, once and for all. 	Entry #3 35 BBY; Mandalore I have finally found a way off of this shabla planet. For the past five years I have worked for MandalMotors and have decided to steal a Pursuer-class enforcement ship off of the production line. With it I will begin my search of the surviving Death Watch members. Rumors abound that they have created an outpost on one of the moons of a planet called Naboo. Supposedly they are masquarding as spice miners there. I doubt that any of the di'kutle here would even be close to being correct. At least it is a place to start. 	Entry #4 VaderLVR64: Thank you for all the support that you have given to me through out this new adventure in my life on these boards. MsLanna: If you want to know what Preal's gender is you'll have to read the oc story that this diary is a tie into Journeyman Knights 1 - Revolution; which is usually updated on Monday each week (until I get writers block that is!) 35 BBY; Theed, Naboo Something unexpected happened today... I met a girl. She is only 15 which would cause my sister to smack me upside the head, but she is the most beautiful thing I have laid eyes on. Her perfectly tanned skin was like the pure sands that lay on the beaches of the lake that was near by. Her blonde hair looked as smooth as imported silk and shaded like the sun that hung above. She was following an older looking girl who could pass as her sister, and probably was. This girl accompanying her is what prevented me from finding out her young partner's name. The older girl was dress in the traditional robes of a royal handmaiden, which even I knew after only being here a couple of days means hands off. Perhaps I will delay my mission to regain my family name... just for a few months. 	Entry #5 34 BBY; Theed, Naboo I have spent the last year finding odd jobs in and around the capital city of Naboo during the day. In the evenings Karn and I would sneak off to get to know each other better. It took me nearly four weeks before I worked up the courage to ask her her name, then when I did it took another standard month for her to tell me. Her sister, the handmaiden, made sure that she never had the opportunity to talk. She did not approve of me for some odd reason. We eventually worked out a method of communicating where and when we would meet. After talking with her I have decided to take her along in my search for the remaining Death Watch members. 	Entry #6 Last night I professed my undying love for Karn to her, somehow I don't think she heard me though. Her sister was away on an assignment for the Queen so we were able to spend the entire day and night together. We went to see the latest romantic Holo-vid that had come out of Coruscant in the afternoon (the things we men suffer through to impress our women). She then took me to probably the most expensive eatery in Theed City. Finally she took me to a secluded island in the Lake Country where we spent the rest of the day. We laid on a blanket in the sand until the stars came out and I showed off my survival skills by building us a modest fire to stay warm by. I proped myself up on a log that I had found when gathering up firewood and she laid in my arms while we sat under our blanket next to the fire. As the night waned on, the fire died down, the star shown brighter, and I felt that the mode was right for me to pour my heart out to her. After cutting open my heart to let my devotion drain out, I looked down only to find her sleeping in my arms. I guess I'll spring my grand escape plan on her another time...
