	Title: Miscellaneous Author: Jinngerbread Characters: Carth Drex Rixar and other OC's. Author Notes: This is for the dear diary challenge obviously. Drex is nine-years-old. Entry One I'm absolutely bored out of my mind. Yes, even Jedi get bored, especially Jedi initiates like me who hate being in the Healers wing. We're not immune to things like our appendix trying to explode, food poisoning, or any other bodily ailment. I wish we were though; cause then this week wouldn't have been so horrible. It wasn't all bad though, I guess, because I got extra attention from my best friends Ke'dran and Ris. Ke'dran brought me a journal. A souvenir from her first trip with her master that she got for me on a planet called Alderaan. It's got what feels kind of like bantha hide on the front, and the sheets of flimsiplast are kind of crinkled to give it sort of an old fashioned look. She said I should use this while I'm here in the Healers and write down my thoughts to make the time pass, and that if I really wanted to have something to do for awhile, I could even use one of my feathers on my wing to make a pen. But she brought me a stylus to go with the journal and said I didn't have to use my own feathers. I don't know though, I've never been much for writing before, but since she went to all the trouble to get me something special, I'll write. What am I supposed to talk about exactly? Well, I could talk about myself I guess, but that's kind of arrogant. Still, if I'm just passing the time and nobody's going to read it then it doesn't matter right? Well, I'm not very tall, pretty average build, but my species isn't human. I'm humanoid though, but I have massive black wings, claws and slightly pointed teeth. Hrm. I guess I'll talk about Ke'dran next. She's perfection. And delicate. Really, there's no other way to describe her. Ke'dran is just...herself. She's taller than me, and two years older, has silvery white hair and the prettiest grayish green eyes that sparkle when she's happy. I love that sparkle. It's so pretty. And it's just so her. Nobody else has quite the same look. And, then there's Ris... Oh kriff, will have to write more later. Time to have my blood drawn. Again. 	I'm loving this, Master! A very interesting character. I'm having fun imagining his species. Lol, liked the idea of making a pen out of his own feathers. Very funny. She's perfection. And delicate. Kelia Well I was well revenged for it, I had to have my blood drawn on Friday and will have to have several more this month, I thought it only fair that he gets a little. Jedi_Gon Originally he was human but Neon Star and I only recently made the switch to making him non-human and I actually kind of like that better! It makes for interesting things to talk about, for sure. As far as the friendship between them, it definitely develops for later on. Thanks for reading hon! I always love your comments! Entry Two I think they're trying to drain me of my blood or something, kinda like vampires. They live on Iego, legends say. There are two types, the Living and the Dead. The Dead ones are the vampires, the Living are Angels. There's not much known about them, except for the fact that both types are known for being beautiful. And those vampires are deadly and like to drink blood. Or so I've read anyway, on the holonets. I think it's because I'm a pretty rare species. I'm from a planet called Saren Seven. I don't know anything else about my background, only that. The only reason I know even that, is because I've never known anybody else who looked like me and Ke'dran told me, and once I got to meet the Senator from Southern Saren. Southern Saren is the only part of the planet that's in the Republic. I'm not the only Saren born who's been to the Temple though, because the Healers haven't had any trouble fixing me. But maybe that's why they're doing so many blood tests. At least they're doing it through the I.V. mostly. Still doesn't mean I have to like it when they come in and do it. Let's see, where was I from yesterday? Oh yeah, Ris. Ris is my other best friend after Ke'dran. He's a species called Firrerreo. He has black and gold hair, gold skin and black eyes. He's also got really sharp canine like teeth and claws. His species holds names in especially high power and he doesn't like the sound of his real name because he thinks that means whoever uses it has power over him. I would tell you, journal, but he might find out, and then he'd get really really mad. So I won't write it down. Just in case. I really want to be released all ready. I don't know why they've not yet. It's not like my appendix is a threat anymore, 'cause it's gone. I'm a little sore, still, yeah, but I'm bored more than anything, if you haven't guessed that, journal. What else to talk about? Well, I just turned nine a couple of days ago, but unfortunately that's when my appendix nearly imploded. Not the best birthday I ever had. Oh! The Initiate Lightsaber Sparring Event is coming up soon! I almost forgot, because of the distraction with my appendix. They moved the date around a bit from last year. Last year I had to compete with initiates younger than me, but this time, I'll be sparring with some of the older ones, assuming they don't still keep me in here. It's a good time for me to be practicing now though, to try and catch the eye of a potential master. I really hope I find one soon. 	Vampires! Actually, I don't even like vampires, I just wanted to do that. Poor Drex! Having your appendix almost burst on your birthday would not be fun. It's good that he has the lightsaber sparring event to look forward to, and that he doesn't have to compete with the "little kids" anymore. That can be frustrating. 	Yeah I know the sheer boredom of being stuck in a hospital bed with nothing to do. After one such stay, I had ribs that hurt like fire and I got to pick out a MOVIE to watch. So what'd I do? I picked Hot Shots! Part Deux, and ended up laughing myself unconscious. Make that a mental note, people. Laughing+Hurting ribs=BAD. ANYWAY, great post! I love how Drex is resorting to writing in a journal to keep himself occupied while he waits for release. INteresting, working vampires into the story. 	Jaidyn_Knightfall LOL, I'm only just now fond of vampires, I used to not like them either. My love for vampires started coming when Neon Star and I began collaborating together and she had a couple that I actually liked. That wasn't very smart of you, LOL! Laughing makes it worse for sure, when you've got ribs that are hurting. He'll get out before the competition, still a few weeks to go, he wouldn't need to stay in there THAT long, even if he is a rare species. Sorry I haven't caught up on yours, I keep saying that I know! But things have been horribly busy here lately, I'm having surgery myself on Friday. But definitely agree that kids have it worse, keeping still if nothing else. Thanks on the stuff about Iego, I actually thought the idea was pretty interesting myself, we had the vampires stationed on Iego but it only occurred to me awhile ago that the angels Anakin had mentioned might be immortal too. Thanks for reading! Okay couple of quick announcements, posting for next week might be delayed because of upcoming sinus surgery. It's outpatient, but not sure how I'm going to feel just yet that weekend. Two, Neon Star my aforementioned collaborator on a lot of stuff, has started two journals about Drex's buddies, Ke'dran Zephir and Ris. Assuming my latest blood test checks out, I can leave as soon as they get the results back. Thank the Force; I'm so tired of staring at the white walls. I think the first thing I’m going to do when I get out of here is get some decent food. The cafeteria food is a lot better than the Healer's food, that's all I have to say! I'm starving and I want to go do some working out, but I can only do some light stuff until Master Healer Ethea Lomax clears me for more. No sparring practices for a few more days. I can do push ups, but no sit-ups yet, and I can do some walking and jogging around the track, but nothing that really exercises my abdomen muscles and no weight machines. How am I going to get ready in time if I can't practice?? This is frustrating. Oh well, at least I'm almost out of this place even if I can't do as much yet. A bit later... Excellent, I did get out and I just now finished my first real food in days, it seems. I had a ginormously huge nerf burger, plain. I don't like weird stuff on mine, like lettuce or tomes, it's odd tasting. I eat mostly meat, because of my digestive system. I can eat other things, but it depends on what it is. I use a few sauce condiments but that's about it as far as that goes for me. Oh and I had a chocolate brownie that nearly sent me into a daze. I love chocolate. It gives me the best feeling ever… I wonder if it's because of my species. I start purring loudly anytime I eat chocolate. I can't help it! 	Gah! Good luck on Friday! I haven't seen the inside of a hospital for a very long time and I hope I don't have to start anytime soon! Get well soon, Jinngy! Tell them to stuff a kazoo up there while they're at it. That way you'll always have a way of amusing yourself and frightening others. Wait, maybe that's a bad suggestion. Take it or leave it, anyway. Don't worry about my story, it's not going anywhere. YAY! He's finally out of the ward! Now he can at least go do something. The boredom can be enough to drive a sane person nuts. Especially when they don't at least have the holonet to surf, or competitive Jedi games to play. Good update!
