	Ah, this is my first attempt at a fan fic. 	Spike2002: thanks for offering. I'll be sure to let you know if and when I need any assistance. here's chapter one. in case anyone's wondering, I changed it around a bit. why? because I can! Chapter 1: Flight from Myrkr "We'll come back for you Jacen. I'll come back for you." Overcome with anger and grief, Jaina Solo woke up. The pain of losing both her brothers still rang fresh in her mind. Less than a day had passed since the survivors of the Jedi strike force had fled the worldship above Myrkr. Less than a day since Jaina had been forced to leave a huge part of herself behind. Fighting back the tears, she made her way to the cockpit of the stolen Ksstarr. All her life, Jaina had heard that fear and anger led to the Dark Side but at this particular moment, she didn't give a damn. A slight smile crossed her lips as she recalled frying those Yuuzhan Vong warriors with Force lightning. Tremors of pain shook Jaina's body as she remembered the traitorous Vergere handing her twin brother off to Nom Anor. Jacen and her had been a part of each other since before they were born. Now he was gone. The Yuuzhan Vong had gone too far this time. They had crossed the line and made this war personal. Killing Anakin was bad enough but taking Jacen was the last straw. Now, they would pay for what they had done. By any means necessary, they would pay. *********************************************

I suggest y'all go see it if you haven't already. Chapter 2: A Stolen Kiss Once the frigate had entered hyperspace, Jaina left the cockpit. Rage filled her more and more as she gazed upon the other Jedi. Nine remained, nine out of the 17 that had gone on this mission. A tear streamed down her cheek as she looked at the still form covered by a white sheet. It was so unfair. Anakin was not even 18 yet. Glancing to her brother's left, Jaina felt a pang of sadness. Tahiri Veila. The young blonde had been Anakin's best friend since meeting him at the praxeum on Yavin 4. In recent times though, she and Jacen had been on the edge of a relationship even deeper than the one she enjoyed with Anakin. Jaina recalled the kiss shared by Jacen and Tahiri just prior to boarding the Lady Luck and heading for Myrkr. Those had been happier times. Crying out with disgust, Jaina slammed a fist into the wall of yorik coral. Ignoring the looks of the others, she turned and stalked back to the pilot's chair. A few minutes later, she felt a familiar presence settle down next to her. Opening her eyes, Jaina felt an enormous relief at the sight of Zekk, her best and oldest friend. Jaina offered Zekk a trademark Solo grin. Suddenly, she wrapped her arms around him, finally unable to contain her flow of tears. "Zekk, they're gone. I'm all alone now." "Jaina, you'll never be alone. I'm here for you." After several minutes, Jaina pulled back. Wiping away the tears, she felt grateful to have such a good friend. She lowered her lips to his and brushed them softly. Jaina broke off to gaze deeply at Zekk's emerald green eyes. She kissed him again, this time with a bit more passion. Wrapping her arms around his neck, Jaina whispered softly in Zekk's ear. "Don't you think you should check on the others?" Zekk blinked twice in disbelief. Groaning loudly, he got up and headed for the back. He turned once to see Jaina blowing him a kiss. Rolling his eyes, he left the cockpit. *********************************************

	Here's a little post to tide my readers over while I work on the next part. Chapter 3: Fight Club Several days later, the young Jedi Knights exited hyperspace. Expecting to see the bright lights of Coruscant, they got the shock of their lives when they found that they had entered a warzone. Thousands of Yuuzhan Vong coralskippers and New Republic starfighters were fiercely engaged in a spectacular battle above the planet-wide city. After a brief but harrowing chase, Jaina reached out with the Force and found her mother aboard the Millenium Falcon. //Mom, we need help.// //Jaina? Where are you honey?// //We stole a coralskipper.// //Are you ok?// //Yes and no. We're being chased by X-Wings.// //Ok, hold on. I'll address the fleet.// //Thanks mom.// True to her word, Leia Solo broadcast a warning that her daughter was in command of a stolen coralskpper. Wedge Antilles then volunteered the services of Roque Squadron as an escort. After consulting with the other Jedi, Jaina notified Rogue Lead that she was headed for Ryloth. Colonel Gavin Darklighter, in turn, sent word to Leia and Wedge about where they were headed. *********************************************

	Yeah I know, but a coralskipper is just a one-man fighter.
