	This story takes place waaaaaaaaaaay beyond the Saga. I don't want to give an exact date as of yet. Anywho this is just a taste so I'd love some feedback. Summary: A new administration is coming to power on Coruscant and President Gorhind is plagued with problems right away. The only person who really helps him out is a Protector. A person from an order that wants to protect the galaxy. As the two work together to save the galaxy they soon find out that the galxy is falling aprt at the seams. A new evil is rising and it comes from the past... This is year one of the Civilization epic. Each year has a group of stories that can stand alone(at times) but form a huge story. * This is just a taste of the first story. Civilization Year One Prologue Accessing information on "Luke Skywalker". Access denied. Accessing information on "Anakin Skywalker". Access denied. Accessing information on "Padme Amidala". Access denied. Accessing information on Leia Solo. Access denied. Accessing information on "The Gods" Access allowed. The Gods Some believe that the Gods allowed for the creation of the Protectors. Others believe that the Gods are mythical figures and never existed. The names of the Gods are unknown except for one: Darth Vader- the greatest of the Gods. Story One: Inauguration Coruscant is prettier at night than at day. At least that was the common consensus. President Rekind had to agree as she looked out of her window that showed the cities of Coruscant. Each majestic skyscraper reached up towards the heavens in a vain attempt to touch them. "Such beauty," she mumbled under her breath. President Rekind was nearing the end of her tenure as President of the Galactic Federation. She didn’t mind that her tenure of ruling was finally about to end. She had ruled for over ten years and Rekind was old. Her black hair had turned to gray and her skin was wrinkled. Yet she was on of the most active people in the government. Rekind put her hands together and thanked the Gods for helping her rule. "Praise be to all the Gods that can hear me and those that can’t. Thank you for everything that you have done for me. Thank you for guiding me. Bless you all. And bless the Supreme Ruler Darth Vader." She leaned back in her chair and sighed. She’d miss the office, that was for certain. The new president was a lot younger than she and would probably ruin the office. She sighed again. There was nothing she could do about it, though. The galaxy was no longer in her hands and she could only hope that the new president would take care of the galaxy. * "I will uphold the laws of this fine galaxy and I will do my best to construct a better galaxy!" A mandatory clapping went through as newly inaugurated President Gorhind spoke to the Senate. The Senate building was a huge structure that held over a million Senators from different worlds. At the moment Gorhind stood in the auditorium speaking to about a third of the Senators. Holocams flied past his face as he continued his speech, promising economic improvement and continued diligence in all affairs. Gorhind bowed and walked off of the stage. He was a young and handsome man about thirty-five years old and had light brown hair. He stepped into the transmat which was located just offstage and immediately found himself in the President’s office. The office was a light red color with statues featuring magnificent art from all different species. The desk was filled with holographic images from different officials wishing to congratulate him on his success at becoming the President. "Don’t get too comfartable in that chair. My political party will win the next election," spoke ex-President Rekind as she stood and left the room. "We’ll see about that," replied Gorhind as he sat in the chair and tested it out. "Comfy." The new President thanked each holographic image as they briefly spoke. He then turned to face a holographic projection Rodian general whose name he couldn’t remember. "Hello," huffed the Rodian general. "Congradulations are in order but I’m afraid we have more pressing matters at the moment." The green alien looked quite perplexed. Gorhind smiled. "A coup all ready?" "Not quite but we’ve had some problems on the planet of Morishim. A rebellion has broken out and we need to stop it." "What are they ‘rebelling’ for?" "Damned if I know." "I hope so." "What was that?" "Continue." The Rodian paused to say something but seemed to think he shouldn’t a moment later. After another moment he said. "Normally I wouldn’t bother you with such trivial matters. I’d just send the Protectors. Unfortunately the Morishim government doesn’t like the Protectors. Now a days they don’t seem like the only ones" "Do you have any ideas why they don’t like the Protectors?" "Because the Protectors don’t think that Darth Vader is a God. Pretty stupid, huh?" The Rodian laughed and Gorhind smiled lightly. "I’ll get on it immediately. *** -----signature----- But in purple, I'm stunning!- Londo Mollari, Babylon 5

	Interesting way to spin history with Vader being the greatest of the Gods and other figures records being classified (I note it is Access denied rather than Record not found). Like that the protectors at least know that Vader was not a God though whether they have an equally distorted and simply different view of history we’ll have to wait to find out. -----signature----- Seeming unable to just say "Nice post, I enjoyed it" Sometimes amazed at how "I'll reply tomorrow" becomes "I should have replied last week" ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Return of a Jedi. http://boards.theforce.net/the_saga/b10476/23421597
