A long time ago I wrote a story called "Not my time" This is a revised version of that story. I looked at it and thought "man that stinks!" descriptive wise I did not like it and other thing I didn't like. so I'm starting anew...[/i]
From The Twilight:
In the middle of the fight with the vong, the new republic finds a deserted ship in imperial space but the ship isn’t deserted. There is one passenger still alive. A Jedi padawan frozen in carboniate. A Jedi, who has many secrets.
______________________________________________________________
Chapter 1 : A End and the Beginning
There was no turning back now. A woman no more then twenty-one crept around the cold chamber. The orange glow of the floor lights showed her haunted expression, Her sadness, and her pain. “I will meet a fate worst then death.” She thought.
She heard Vader’s breathing sending chills up her spine. Vader.
Anakin
. She closed her eyes trying to force the memories from her mind.
Anakin
, The voice whispered again. Her breath caught as she recalled memories of brotherhood, happiness, playful teasing, everything that had made up Anakin Skywalker.
“You can’t hide forever.” Came Vader’s voice.
She looked down at her hands grasping her lightsaber. They were shaking. Could she truly do this? It was down to this. It was enemy against enemy, dark against light. It was her duty, her responsibility but could she truly kill Vader.
For Vader had once been the very boy she had trained with at the Jedi temple, laughed with in the gardens, rescued from the battle droids. Darth Vader had once been Anakin Skywalker.
She stared through the cracks at him.
Anakin
She inched her way out from under the landing. Standing still her eyes showing nothing but an impossible calm. A calm only achieved by a person who had nothing to live for and nothing to loose. She was a broken warrior. Yet her stance showed she was ready to face death a spark in her eye told you that this was the final battle.
“You still have a choice Anakin.” She called her voice firm not betraying her agony.
She saw Vader pause. “That name has no meaning.” He said coldly.
“Yes it does. Anakin is who you truly are.”
Anakin, that was a name from another lifetime. For an instant Vader saw memories...
Anakin’s memories
. Laughter, joy...
The woman sensed this. “Come with me.” She pleaded.
Vader turned sharply and she took a step back igniting her lightsaber.
“You don’t know the power of the darkside.” He hissed.
“Power?” She asked. “You have an addiction to power?” She let out a laugh. “You’ll never have enough Anakin. You will...” She suddenly felt her body slam against the wall.
“I have enough of your insolence.” He roared. She could not help it anymore, a tear leaked from her eye and she got up clutching her now bleeding side.
“So.” She stated her oice was forced but in it held a ring of acceptance. “Anakin Skywalker is dead.”
An instant was all it took. A blue blade let out with a snap hiss and she charged. A blow, A kick, a block. All of which Vader easily avoided.
Anakin
the voice still cried in her mind.
Soon they were going faster and faster that they seemed only a blur of red and blue.
Suddenly they stopped their blades at each other’s necks. She stared up at Vader and swore she had seen a flash of blue behind his mask.
“Is there truly a darkside?”
“Of course there is silly.”
She tried to force the memory away but it wouldn’t go away suddenly she felt herself falling and her brain registered.
He had kicked her over the edge.
Anakin!
She wanted to scream, try to break her fall but she didn’t. Closing her eyes she whispered.
“You are the only hope. May the force be with you... always.”
That was it. She knew no more. The time of the Jedi was over.

They were a disease; they spread about the galaxy in their ships taking anything in their path. Coruscant was no more, what was once the pride of the republic was crushed turned into the new Yuuzhan Vong homeworld. The republic was now a shattered fragment of what it had once been
Jaina looked bitterly out into space remembering the apartments she had lived in when she was a little girl. They were forced to be a rebellion yet again. There might not be an evil empire but it seemed the same, they had wanted the same thing…
control
, over the entire galaxy.
Jaina broke away from her thoughts and continued to fly. It seemed that was the only stable thing now. Flying meant freedom.
She was just about ready to call base when “irry” started to beep. Jaina looked up. “What?” she asked.
The droid had seen something but what Jaina didn’t know. “Give me the coordinates,” she ordered the droid. Instantly the coordinates flashed on the screen. Whatever it was it wasn’t moving.
Jaina stared “what in sith hell?” she said not believing what seeing. It was a shuttle. Early imperial by the looks of it but that wasn’t what had startled her. It was the markings. She could have sworn she had seen them somewhere. She gasped. She knew now where she had seen them. The holo’s. That mark…that was Vader’s mark.
She jumped when irry beeped again. “Hey there everything ok?” came a voice over the com. Her father, Han Solo. Jaina had to smile. “Hey Dad, you might want to see this” Jaina said her voice incredulous. “Coming up” came the response and the com went silent.
Jaina saw the familiar shape of the Millennium Falcon come up.
“Should we board it?” Jaina asked. “We could always take it back to base after”
Soon Jaina found herself surrounded by her mother, father and uncle Luke in the entrance of the ship.
It was eerie, like a picture frozen in time, preserved for eternity. Everything screamed that it was imperial. Jaina looked around and on instinct felt her hand go to her blaster at her side. Drawing comfort from the cool metal.
It went as an unspoken signal as everybody drew their weapons and fanned out over the ship.
It seemed deserted but why would a ship with Vader’s mark simply be abandoned?
Jaina felt chills come up spine as she opened herself up to the force letting it wash over her in waves feeling its gentle touch and moved to explore.
She came to the back of the ship seeing a set of doors. Carved crudely in the mettle was a message in a language that she couldn’t decipher.
“Threepio!” She hissed not knowing why she was whispering her hand tightening on her blaster. There was not a sound to be heard only a dead silence.
Suddenly there came the shuffling of the droid and the golden droid appeared. “Yes mistress Jaina how may I be…”
“What does that say?” she asked cutting off the droids rambling.
Threepio looked into his memory banks, pouring over information trying to find the answer. After a minute he spoke.
“I am not familiar with that dialect.”
“Are you saying you don’t know?” Jaina asked thunderstruck in her entire life threepio always had an answer.
“Well…” the droid paused. “Yes.”
Jaina clenched her jaw she was a Jedi and a Jedi did not know fear…right?
She turned back to the door and in an instant there was a smoking whole in the door. Kicking it open she around. It looked like a room fit for royalty.
The carpet was a rich red color. Expensive chairs and furniture were placed about the room and it looked inviting yet in the air stirred a warning, behind the expensive wealth lay a darker meaning.
Jaina felt a cold shiver run down her spine but she moved on.
Reaching out she touched the pad making the door to the fresher open. It was dark rich marble. Jaina saw clearly that it was made for luxury. Everything in these rooms was.
She walked out crossing the room to come to another door. Opening it she saw it was the bedchamber.
She looked about her. A bed, covered in black. Jaina could help herself and reached out to touch it…It was silk, soft to the touch.
Suddenly her attention was drawn to the wall. On the wall hung a lightsaber. Polished to perfection.
Jaina took a deep breath and fingered it feeling her hands tingle when she held it. It belonged to someone but whom?
She pressed the button and out sprung a vibrant blue blade. The color was startling. It was the exact shade of blue as Uncle Luke’s eyes. It was enchanting yet Jaina quickly put it down something told her it wasn’t hers to touch. That only a select few had every held the weapon...that it was special in a way.
She turned and opened the richly decorated closet. She picked out the uniform. A man’s, he had been tall from the looks of it. Next to it were several more uniforms and some cloaks they were smaller obviously belonging to someone smaller.
Jaina kneeled down, her eyes drawn to a small chest. She traced the pattern with her fingers.
What was this room?
Jaina turned again and this time let out a scream of surprise.
There hanging on the wall like a picture was a block of carbonate and frozen in it…was a young woman. Her expression haunted but calm, accepting of her fate.

RE: From The Twilight
Jaina found herself staring into the girls frozen eyes. They showed nothing yet at the same time everything. Agony, betrayal, determination, love, hope… a thousand emotions, caught in a single expression, a single blink of an eye.
Her arms were crossed across her chest closed into fists. It was like even in death she would go on to fight another battle.
Jaina felt her father run in the door and freeze; she felt her mother and uncle’s shock and slowly turned, her face a deadly white.
She stared into her father’s eyes, breathing hard.
It was then the moment was broken as her mother’s eyes flashed and she swiftly closed the gap between her daughter and the mysterious stranger frozen in carboniate.
“She deserves a proper burial” Han found himself saying softly his eyes never leaving the girls.
For a few moments the only sound was Leia activated the series of switches and slid the decarbonization lever into place.
There was a high pitched squeak and Leia’s face hardened determined not to go back to that place in her mind, the place where she kept that dreadful memory of a day like this one when she saw the face of her husband, Han Solo hanging lifeless in time not knowing weather he was alive or dead.
The carbon slowly melted and Luke felt himself beside his sister gently holding the girl.
She weighed practically nothing.
Her head rolled to the side and her body was limp and Luke quickly carried her to the bed laying her down with gentle care.
With shaking fingers Jaina reached out and checked her pulse. There was none.
Anakin!
She had been trapped for eternity only one memory playing over and over in her head.
Anakin
There was no time, there was nothing. She had been caught up, frozen in time. An eternity of wanting to scream, to breathe and now she felt it…she felt the cold around her.
She quickly rolled her body fell to the floor and she lay there not able to move, unable to open her eyes she was sure she was blind. Her body shook with the cold. She was cold and she was getting colder.
Her body suddenly shook with wild coughs and she shivered.
Outside the door the Skywalker and Solo clan were looking at the room in silence when suddenly they heard a crash.
Luke sprang into action his lightsaber out and activated as her palmed the door once again. Leia, Jaina and Han behind him.
As soon as the door opened they saw it…the girl, she was on the floor her body shivering with cold, curled up in a ball.
Leia rushed over.
"We want to help you." Luke said gently putting a hand on her arm.
That was all it took. She lashed out, doing a leg sweep. It was weak she knew and she felt her target move away.
"St…sta…stay…a…away." She said weakly her body shaking with cold suddenly she collapsed and felt herself fade into unconsciousness

RE: From The Twilight
Anakin!
She felt herself floating, suspended in time. Suddenly a jerk, a pull… her eyes snapped open and she quickly shut them again. It stung. Another jerk. She tried to breath but her mouth refused to open.
She kicked and all of a sudden there was a noise and a pop and she could breath. She fell to the floor it seemed like a long way but it was probably only a few feet. She lay there for a moment curled up into a ball shivering her body aching from the fall.
Where was she? Why?
She coughed, her body shaking with the effort. Her eyes opened slowly revealing purple orbs. She quickly shut them. Light. Blinking slowly her eyes adjusted to the brightness. She sat up slowly and looked down. Attached to her arms were injections and patches
Her breath quickened and she tore them off quickly, ripping the injections from her arms and legs. Slowly she reached to her head tearing off several. Her teeth clenched as she pulled more off and stood. Leaning on a nearby table she grabbed a sheet covering her wet body.
Chunks of Baca stuck to her dark wet hair and she stumbled to the door. Keying the pad she stumbled grabbing the wall for support and slowly walked not knowing where she was going.
She felt them. Whoever they were. They were closer. She palmed the door and she saw them people.
It had been the main topic of conversation for two weeks now, the mysterious girl.
"We don’t know who she is." Jaina said "what I don’t get is why we can’t get back into the shutt…" she trailed of as she saw the mysterious woman standing in the doorway.
Everyone looked. Luke felt his eyes widen.
"Whe…where am I?" She asked shivering.
"You’re on the eclipse." Luke said gently.
The girl stared looking at him and out of the corner of her eye she saw Mara. Her eyes traveled to her waist and she saw the lightsaber. Calling it too her she activated it. Her hand shook as she held it.
"Sta…st…stay where you are." She managed to get out her eyes showed she was alarmed.
Jacen stared. She was enchanting, she looked so fragile yet strong at the same time. Shaking himself out of his thoughts he quickly found himself saying something.
"We are not going to hurt you."
Her eyes turned sharply to him and he had to keep himself from stepping back at the amount of emotion her eyes showed.
"I…I do not know that." She stuttered.
Jacen took off his robe handing it to her.
"I will not hurt you." His eyes never leaving hers.
Slowly she reached for it snatching it quickly and covering herself.
"Who are you?" Luke asked.
This time she truly stared up at him taking a step back as she did, her eyes hardened.
Anakin!
"Who are you?" She echoed through chattering teeth.
Jacen moved quickly signaling his brother with his eyes.
"Here." He said softly. Gently taking her arm. She flinched at his touch and sat down almost falling if it weren’t for the youngest Solo child steadying her. Jaina shoved a warm mug into her hands and she flinched pulling away at the contact as she slowly took a sip.
Sputtering she felt herself not able to hold it down so she grabbed part of the cloak and tore it dipping the cloth in the brown liquid she sucked on it gently.
Her eyes told Luke she would not say anything more until he answered her.
"My name is Luke." He said "and this is Han, Kyp, Mara and Leia." He said gesturing to the people around him.
"Luke" she echoed. "Luke." She whispered softly. Her eyes softened for a minute before growing hard.
"whats your name?" Jaina asked softly.
"My name?" She asked.
"Yes."
"My name is Ai." She whispered.
"Are you a Jedi?" Luke asked.
At the word Jedi Ai looked up.
"I will not be a hostage for you to bargain with." Her eyes had turned deadly and her voice grew cold. "If you are going to kill me, do so."

eeep.... I've still got the chills! This is GREAT! The only suggestion I'm going to make is that you check your spelling and punctuation a few times before posting because you have some run-on sentences and missing capitals and periods.
