I read this when it was first posted (before I got my account here at TF.N), and I liked it a lot. I noticed it recently, and thought I should throw my $.02 in.
I love it. I always think it is great to see Zekk standing on his own two feet, and he did so well here. Also some of those rougher edges that never got polished off showed through, and that gives Zekk some texture as a character as well.
One of the consistent issues of Zekk and Jaina's relationship is timing. It never seems to work out for them, does it? And yet the way you tell the story it is like watching two planets converge, it takes some patience, but is worth waiting for when it finally does happen.
I'll put my name on a petition for a sequel.

Neo-Paladin: Wow, thanks a lot. I'm really glad you enjoyed it, and honestly, I loved your opinion on the story. Made me really happy to read.  I'm definately trying to work on the sequel, I'm just a little confused as to plot. But I'll definately let people know when I finally get working on it.

*claps* Gorgeous. Zekk is dead on, and I love you use of flashbacks.
Hard to do in a songfic, but you placed them seemlessly.
