	Great work as usual. It appears Luke's being taken more off guard by Mara than he expected. Of course, there still is the question of just what he's up to, but I'm sure that will come. I'll just be patient for now. Loved the tension between those two. And I think Luke had a good point in bringing up grey areas and the idea that light could affect dark just like dark could light. 	I love how they're both so surprised by each other. 	Wow yet another stunning chapter. So I guess Luke's trying to pull a Bindo. I loved the clash between Mara and Luke. The give and take between them is fascinating. I love how Jade wins a little victory then Skywalker turns it into a victory for him. Lookin' forward to new posts. 	Gosh, and I thought LadyPadme's posting schedule was bad. The wait here is even longer--but at least it's always worth it! The keepers could have kept everything immaculate, of course, but Luke preferred the more natural appearance. Disorder in order. Nice. There was just a Joan of Arcadia episode about chaos and order and how things rarely work out just the way you planned--but that doesn't mean it isn't beautiful. As a perfectionist, I appreciate the reminder. Of course, ‘by the Emperor’s black bones’ wasn’t much better. I always hated that curse. It's too long. Who can really spit that out when they're hopping mad? I adore Luke's theories on Light, Dark, and Everything In Between. “That the Light and Dark Side are different, exact opposites, is not in question – but are intelligent beings so clear?” No, they sure aren't. If they were, I would be able to avoid a lot of bad dates. But seriously, that is the reason I love to read fanfic: you can really study a character and show different sides of him or her than you see in the movie/book/tv show. I love people. They're so complex! Anyways...I've noticed that I've been going off on tangents lately. Sorry 'bout that. Forgive me? 	I abhor SW curses. o.O They're like a few words long when you can just spit out this nice little four-letter thing that's one syllable long and makes you feel oh-so-much better in that childish sort of way. Stars! And ooh, yay, philosophy! Seeing the Light and the Dark is always the simplest thing, but the stars-damned shades of gray are going to kill any aspiring psycologist that tries to analyse our Emperor, hmm? Not even going there, but 'twas interesting to see Luke's reactions to Mara's prodding. 	Emperor Skywalker is known for his political astuteness; his enemies fear him with just reason. Perfect opening, considering how they're all concerned with what he's up to. “I get my way by outmaneuvering them,” Luke said, shooting her a sharp glance full of warning. She didn’t appear affected. “So it’s someone else who holds the bloody knife, then?” “Such melodrama,” Luke said dryly, becoming more interested in the conversation. She raised an eyebrow and smiled slightly. Her body language changed slightly, leaning in, becoming more aggressive in stance. “But I’m right.” That's so, so Mara. “Not at all,” Luke replied. “Sith are just blinded by Darkness as Jedi can be by Light.” “The Light doesn’t blind,” Jade snapped. “No,” Luke agreed. “But you can use it to blind yourself. The Dark Side blinds all on its own.” He shrugged, leaving the obvious unsaid. A very interesting thought...and one that is, I think, accurate And Mara had a natural tendency towards anger and impatience. Yeah, I'd agree with that. 	Wow... that was very interesting. Can I just say that I love your writing? In that post we had political tension, personal tension, philosophy.... and it all worked together so well! What Luke said about the Jedi being blinded by the Light was very true... it makes a lot of sense. I think that's always been a major flaw for them -- they seem very stuck in their ways. The talk about light and dark and how they exist within people... Very deep. And boy, did Mara get to Luke! “And you don’t want to, do you? But you don’t know how to stop.” Clearly, this is true, and he knows that it's true. Why else would he suddenly get so aggressive? I love the way she throws him off balance. Wonder if he's regretting his choice for bride? He could have gone for someone quiet and compliant, but no, he went for Mara... But then he did do his research. I wonder if he fully realised the extent of what he was getting into? And Mara's not happy... can't really blame the girl. That turn of Luke's was pretty nasty... Bit of an eye-opener! But I don't think Mara will be put off that easily... Anyway, I've rambled enough. Excellent job in developing the tension between them. Can't wait for Friday!
