I didn't have any deeply angstly moments, though ... did I? academygrad88: It wasn't as hard as you might think. Actually, this took me several weeks to write - I started it before my surgery and finished it only half a week or so ago. Happy reading. And thank you. oldjedinurse: Thank you. Yeah, I think Luke knew what he should be doing - how he should be handling his feelings, but he needed it said to him. And in turn, Callista needed the same thing, in her own way. I chose Callista for this because for one, she's an established character with something of her own to get over. And, as Burkie said in his blog, just because a person you marry isn't exactly the choice God wanted you to make, doesn't mean He wouldn't bless that marriage, or that you couldn't be happy. Neo-Paladin: Glad to hear it. I also think Mara was a better match for Luke, but that doesn't mean I don't think Luke and Callista couldn't have made a marriage work, and even been happy. That's what it's like for me, and it's just - I don't know. I'm not always good at expressing these sorts of things. I'm glad you sort of liked the story, and I'm going to have thwack that Michele girl. Thank you. LadyPadme: Thank you. Gentle and sympathetic - I wanted this to feel almost dreamy, not even really stating the issues at hand until the end. (And sad. :p ) I don't think Callista would ever turn as psycho as some fanfics have her - she was a good person, just not the best one for Luke. Yeah, scarred by it - that's what it feels like. Even if the pain isn't as sharp as it was, it's still there, and not really lessened, exactly. Just ... muted.
