...But there were some who had forgotten Morgoth The Enemy. In the lands of Wales underneath the fires of the Brecon Beacons...Hangon, there's no fire in the Brecon mountains, only snow and other annoying Welsh people like myself...hmm. Okay, start over.
The Dark fic writer Morgoth, having finally finished his exams and being bored over the past few days, deigned to write a new fic that would crush his original Shadow Falling and make it seem like nothing (Which is'nt a difficult feat) (Don't worry Shadow Falling fans, I'll not forget that fic so easily, I'm just suffering a severe case of writers block on it)
Anywho...I'm back, as if ya all haven't guessed and I've brought a new fic with me, the first post of which will be up as soon as I hear from my wonderful Beta reader Solo on how bad my grammar has gotten.
Anyway, Just thought I'd give you guys a heads up. Expect post soon!
(I thought about giving a dramatis personae but I hate doing those)
(Morgoth, Dark lord of getting wasted after finishing his exams and forgetting about coming on the internet until about three weeks later!)

Okay, this post is being posted unbetad, largely in part due to TahiriVeilaSolo69 having been in a serious car accident and as such will not be able to post for a while. I didn't want to use another beta due to this fact and this post is now dedicated to Solo, hope you get better soon, we all wish you the best and I'm sure all our hearts go out to you.
Solo; This post's for you.
*Disclaimer* I don't own a thing of Star Wars, it all belongs to Lucas, if I owned it, the prequel trilogy would have made sense.I also own nothing of Aliens vs Predator, I think it belongs to warner brothers and Fox or Geiger and Steve D. Perry.
Hunting season
The sky was at war with itself again. Thunder rumbled and bolts of
lightning lit up the horizon with natures finest fireworks display. The very heavens seemed alight as the battle drums of a storm sounded.
Rain spattered the dimly lit cities of Coruscant, their once vibrant lights dimmed by the plantlife that had formed a kind of symbiotic relationship with the buildings, ruins or otherwise, thanks to the world brain.
Despite the rain, the atmosphere remained very humid, a hot summer season had begun to settle in, the exotic plantlife feeding off the heat.
They were not the only ones. Into this fetid swamp of heat, plant and city dwelling came "the demons who make trophies of men".
***************
The hunter watched as numerous forms, that could either be its prey or merely observances, swarmed through the densely packed streets. The rainwater crashed down on those unlucky enough to not have covered up correctly.
The hunter too thought the rain a nuisance, it prevented him from cloaking and observing the individuals milling in the street more closely.
With the rain however, the only way to look for possible prey was through his masks internal scanners. Sighing to himself, the hunter leaned backwards into the ruins it watched from and waited patiently for the rain to stop.
*****************
"I wish the rain would stop." Anakin Solo said, staring through the plexiglass panels of the docking port diner. A light chuckle greeted his wish.
"If wishes were credits then I could afford a super star destroyer." Corran Horn, fellow Jedi and ex corsec member said.
"Why in the force would you want a super star destroyer? the thing's huge! It's all flashy power and no manoueverability."
"Try getting one kid, I guarantee the girls will come running...Don't tell Mirax I said that." Corran replied causing Anakin to laugh.
"There's only one girl I want to come running. Unfortunately, a super star destroyer wouldn't go very far in the way of impressing her." Anakin said defeatedly.
"How about a few scars and tattoos?" Corran joked though for a moment he thought he'd gone a little too far, Anakins' silence worrying him momentarily.
"If I was sure that'd work I'd consider it." Anakin sighed. "I don't know what she wants from me anymore. After the Myrkr disaster, after I woke up from my coma, she was so different. I could even feel her changing when she'd connect to me in the force but seeing the changes was a whole 'nother matter." Anakin finished.
"Well, if it weren't for her and your sister, you'd have suffered extensive brain damage. You were in bacta for a month after the mission and you were in that coma for a good year, then there's the whole episode she had. You two were apart for quite a while. It'll take time to rebuild the same bridges you once had, you two are different people now after all. though I must say, you've been with her on Sekot a few times since the war ended six months ago and it didn't seem like she was complaining to me."
"Maybe. It's just that, for once, I'd like to know exactly what it was she wants and how I could go about doing it without screwing up for once."Anakin replied.
"Hmm, well, you can either reflect on the mysteries of the female mind, or you can down that stimcaf and follow me outside, there's a little bit of trouble starting up." Corran said, his face growing serious.
"Well, we didn't get dressed up for nothing." Anakin said as he took hold of his lightsaber and tossed a few credits onto the table before running out the door after Corran.
********************
A number of people chased a thin female down a small, meandering alleyway brandishing clubs and other strange looking handheld weapons. The hunter watched from above, intrigued.
"Why did this one run from the others so?"
Yeyinde thought to himself. It would be far better to fight and meet an honourable end, extending ones life when the black warrior was breathing over your shoulder was pointless. Yeyinde flicked the control panel on his right wrist, tapping a combination of buttons and increasing his view of the scene below.
"It would be useful to hear what they say too"
, Yeyinde thought and activated the animal loop in his mask. So strange, these creatures. One was unmistakebly Ooman, but the others were unlike anything the Yautja had ever seen.
A blue skinned individual with twin fleshy braids hanging down its back, a bald, green skinned creature stood next to it while the first Ooman shouted something at the skinny one they had cornered in the alley. Yeyinde scanned the trios weapons using the tech scan abilities of his mask.
"No burners"
Yeyinde mused, finding the situation intriguing.
*********************
"Jedi sympathizer!" the Twilek shouted at the terrified girl.
"The war's over! I've done nothing to any of you!" the girl replied.
"You think it matters to us? You know how many friends I lost because those selfish Jedi wouldn't give themselves up?!"
"Selfish?" A cocky voice asked from behind the trio.
Yeyinde watched the situation far more closely, The three beings cornering the smaller Ooman were clearly Ka'De, enraged and ready to kill, the two Oomans who had just shown up held themselves far better than anyone else in the alley and seemed unphased by the unfolding events.
"warriors"
, Yeyinde thought to himself, scanning the two new Oomans for weapons.
**********************
"This is none of your business. Leave!" the Twilek yelled.
"You don't want us to leave. You want us to stay right where we are." Anakin said, moving his hand through the air.
"I don't want you to leave, Stay right where you are." The Twilek droned in a monotone voice.
"Jedi scum!" the ringleader, a heavyset man screeched at Anakin swinging a large spike studded bat at Anakins head. In a flash the bat was severed in two, Corrans lightsaber blade humming and sizzling in the air and rain. Anakin didn't have to ignite his blade before the peace brigade trio decided to "cut" their losses and ran quickly past Anakin and Corran, out of the alleyway.
"Let them go, they aren't the big fish we've been hoping to catch, and with those attitudes, I seriously doubt we'd be able to glean anything from them either." Corran said as Anakin turned to run after the departing thugs.
**********************
Yeyinde watched from above with great interest. Yeyinde shifted visions time and time again, scanning Corrans lightsaber with the numerous capabilities of his mask.
"Amazing."
Yeyinde thought.
"I have never seen a weapon like it. It seems to emit levels of ozone and a degree of ultraviolet light but does not appear to be plasma."
Yeyinde said in his native tongue, the words recorded and relayed through his mask to a transmitter that would send his message to his clan ship. His brothers of the Lightning Blade clan would be most pleased to learn that perhaps worthy, sentient prey had been finally found.
Yeyinde stepped backwards slightly, clouding himself in the shadows as one of the Oomans looked up.
***********************
"Tarei'hsan!" Yeyinde cursed foully. Had he been seen by the Ooman? A curse on this rain! Yeyinde wished he could cloak though some inner instinct told him that the Ooman would be able to see him with or without it.
Had the Ooman seen him, Yeyinde would have to descend and kill the warriors, a disturbing thought given what he had learned about the taller warriors' blade. Still, Yeyinde was no coward and should he win he would gain great honour for killing such a dangerous foe.
Grasping his plasma-forged glaive tentatively and preparing to flick forward his wrist knives, Yeyinde waited.
************************
"Corran?" Anakin asked as he noticed the elder Jedi gazing into the ruins of the buildings.
"Nothing, just a feeling." Corran said after a short while though he didn't look at Anakin for several moments more. " I could have sworn we weren't alone."
"You want me to check it out?" Anakin asked motioning to where Corran had been looking.
"No. I think it's best we get this young lady out of the rain and into more accomodating circumstances. Corran replied. Giving the relieved woman a small smile, the two drenched Jedi began walking off, the girl in tow.
"Trust." Anakin said. "We start to leave and NOW the rain stops." Anakin joked, noticing the tense air that had risen since they began leaving the alley. A small sigh of relief escaped Corran as they exited into the main street. Anakin glanced at his friend and mentor, worried, it wasn't like Corran to get jumpy.
"Your friend seems to sense the faeries." The young woman chuckled. "It's only natural, on a warm day like this. My grandmother used to say that they'd show up in hot weather." Anakin smiled, as did Corran, but the sigh of relief Corran had let out still nagged at the back of Anakins mind.
"Anything now Corran? Are we being followed?"
"I'm not sure. And I don't like being not sure. Lets get out of here quickly, what's your name miss...?"
"Anna." the girl replied. "Thank you for saving me from them, I owe you my life."
"We're Jedi, it's what we do." Anakin replied, reflexively flashing his fathers' infamous grin without realizing he did so. Corran shook his head slowly, like a number of other women who'd encountered this grin, Anna flushed and followed the two Jedi further into the street.
**********************
The lights of many buildings electric signposts was reflected in the wet street, the recent rain lending the walkways a mirror-like sheen and the neon lights turning the walkways into a twisted rainbow. Had anyone been in the alleyway and had glanced down, they would have noticed a large shadow looming from the nearby building ruins.
"Thank the black warrior"
The Oomans had not seen him. He would have to be careful, Yeyinde thought, there were many eyes on this world and with the rainwater covering the floor everywhere, his cloak would be useless.
The rooftops too were unsafe, vehicles came and went over the rooftops as easily as the myriad creatures walking on the floor below. Yeyinde clacked his lower mandibles together under his mask, returning its field of vision to normal.
Yeyinde played back a few recordings from his animal loop;
"This is none of your business. Leave!"
the Twileks voice played back. Hissing to himself in pleasure, Yeyinde listened to a few more before turning the loop off. Doubtless the recordings would serve well later.
*********************
Yeyinde pondered his sight of the tall Ooman warrior and the weapon he carried, perhaps the beings of this galaxy were more advanced than any others the Yautja had previously encountered.
Still, with nothing to do but await the fall of night, Yeyinde began checking over his own weapons. His double bladed Ki'cti pa, his wrist knives remained sheathed. The Dark Blade clan had created these versions and had shared them with the other clans, the blades were plasma forged and were capable of being extended far longer than was normal. They would be of little use against a weapon like the Ooman warriors', however.
Yeyinde grinned beneath his mask, he would most likely have to employ his shoulder mounted plasma cannon in order to subdue such prey. Which was why Yeyinde began checking his Spear, Glaive and Maul, no Yautja would pass up an opportunity to face a dangerous foe in single combat with blades.
The thought of slaying the first worthy prey in the galaxy, of spilling first Thwei before his brethren, filled Yeyinde with pride and anxiety. The youngest blooded warrior in the clans put his weapons in their places on his armour and waited for the sun to go down.

"I sense something, something out of place, a strange distortion in the Force." Luke Skywalker said looking out of the window.
"It's probably nothing, you worry too much. That or your son has woken up and we're both in for a world of hurt." Mara replied, smiling wryly before walking up to her husband and wrapping her arms around his waist. "Corran and Anakin are here you know. They'll probably stop by later."
"True. They're trying to catch that band of anti-Jedi renegades that have been going around. If they aren't caught soon, they could spark something off. Emotions are still running high, the war hasn't ended for some." Luke mused, relaxing in his wifes embrace. "Still, what I sensed...it was small, but one thing I've learned is that it's the little things that make big ripples in the water."
*******************
The blackness surrounded her, swarming and writhing in a chaotic frenzy, hungered, alien cries lit the air as silver clawed talons reached for her from all angles, clawing and tearing at her. A nightmare visage; a sleek, long, black head reared up in front of her, chrome teeth gleaming before it opened its mouth and saliva drenched jaws slammed into her skull piercing bone and brain.
Darkness surrounded Tahiri again as she woke with a start in her room, the humid air making her blanket cling to her lithe frame. `That was a dream I could have done without` Tahiri thought to herself. Her blonde hair clung to her head in damp clumps, a cold sweat having covered her.
"That seemed so real"
she thought and for the first time in a long while she shivered in fear and revulsion.
"I need a drink." Tahiri thought out loud, throwing the clinging covers off herself and walking to the 'fresher to get a glass of water. Tahiri paused a moment to splash water on her face and wiped her hair away from her forehead, looking to see if the dream had any basis in reality. The three pale scars that marked her as a member of domain Kwaad, and lent her an exotic quality to those who looked, seemed to stand out far more to her for the moment.
"probably because of the heat"
Tahiri thought as she drank her water whilst gazing in the mirror.
"If this wasn't such a peaceful world it'd probably be some big game hunters paradise."
Tahiri slipped back into bed, hoping to herself that she would be able to dream of happier times, of friends and family and of ice blue eyes, instead of the inky black nightmare that had awoken her.
**********************
Morning broke on Tahiris' side of Zonama Sekot waking Ferroan, Yuuzahn Vong and human alike. Unfortunately for the inhabitants of Sekot, something else had been awake for quite some time.
Ka'vek growled to himself slowly, there were far too many strange beings on this planet, and what was worse, he could swear the planet itself could sense him. This galaxy was far too strange for his liking, still, the trophies to be gathered would bring him such standing amongst the clan brothers he would be made a leader of his own ship.
Such things mattered not to Ka'vek, what he desired was the honour of slaying the deadliest prey. His brothers of the Dark Blade clan would not be pleased to learn that their blooding ritual would have to take place on some other world.
Releasing the Kainde Amedha, the hard meat, on a planet like this would only lead to trouble, too much trouble, which in this strange uncharted galaxy the Yautja could ill afford. Ka'vek watched as a light haired Ooman walked over to a small dwelling and used his mask to scan her.
Switching to a neural scan, Ka'vek found that this was one of the Oomans he had previously been watching and due to his mask had learned that the Ooman was female and that she possessed a high level of intelligence. Ka'vek had designated her as a scientist or a healer and judging from her mannerisms, he had been proven right so far.
It was the other light haired Ooman female that interested Ka'vek however. he had noticed her moving off alone and had chosen to track her, possibly to mark her for hunting later on.
What Ka'vek had found had intrigued him. The female was performing forms of Noko, fighting techniques, with a strange weapon that seemed made of light. Ka'vek had recorded what he had seen and relayed it to his clan but it would be some time before he recieved any reply, he was also interested in the small warriors' perception of her surroundings, he had been cloaked at the time but she kept glancing in his direction, so many times in fact that he had been forced to move back and around her.
What was doubly interesting were the markings on the warriors' forehead, if Yautja culture was anything to go by then he was certain that this warrior was blooded, the markings of her clan clearly displayed for all to see.
Ka'vek woke himself from his reflections and returned to scouting the dwellings, perhaps furthering knowledge of the species inhabiting the worlds of this galaxy would enable the Yautja to avoid any inconvieniences.

Jaina Solo vectored in her co-ordinates and fed them through her navicom computer, trying to get bearings on what she had nearly collided with as she flew into Coruscant space.
"There's nothing there"
she thought to herself, all scans coming up negative and her co-ordinates telling her that there was nothing in the vicinity that should have caused her to swerve out of the way like that.
Just to be doubly sure however, Jaina took a quick scan of the surrounding space with the force. She could feel Coruscant teeming with life, the bright stars that were her family shining up from the planet below, her brother Anakin burning as always like a nova and little Ben, his presence cloudy and yet bright, as if there was something bright and terribly wonderful yet to appear.
Space itself was empty, Jaina could sense beings from other ships and even from nearby planets, though vaguely. Then, a slight tremor ran through her. Something WAS there but as quickly as she had sensed it, it had disappeared.
"I need to get more sleep"
Jaina thought to herself, locking her ships foils and diving into Coruscants atmosphere, heading for the dock.
***********************
Anakins lightsabers flashed viciously, blue and red lighting up the streets of Coruscant as he repelled the attacks of a dozen blasters.
"Well, isn't this just marvellous?!" Anakin shouted at Corran sarcastically. "I said we should have gone after those three!"
"The three we took down in the alleyway did not bring these! I'd say we've been set up!" Corran answered. "They used Anna and those thugs as bait to draw us in!" Corran yelled over the blasterfire as he dressed a nasty blaster shot on Annas' shoulder. A number of screams exploded in the alleyway as Anakins deflected shots took a number of the assailants down, wounding them, though not fatally.
The blasterfire stopped suddenly and Corran looked up to see why. The sight did not please him at all. Three of the still standing attackers had revealed "Force lances" capable of repelling lightsaber attacks.
"Going all old school on me huh? Good." Anakin grinned ferally and not for the first time Corran sensed cold fury taking hold of his young friend.
"Anakin." Corran started, drawing his own blade. "I'll take them."
"No need." A voice rang out amongst the combatants. Anakin had dropped into a guarded stance, his blue blade held in front of him, his red blade poised above like the tail of a scorpion.
"I think we have seen enough for today, don't you, gentlemen?" A well dressed man wearing a long cloak walked in front of the three force lance duelists and stopped, looking past Anakin to Corran. his neatly combed black hair fell forwards into his face and framed eyes that could only be described as insane.
"The authorities will soon be here master Jedi, much as I would like to eradicate you Jedi scum for the atrocities you committed during the war, I do believe it will be harder for me to do so from behind bars. Thanks to todays little display, I can see that I will have to employ stronger measures to finish you all. See you soon." The man started to walk away, his men having already begun to do so before he turned back to Anakin and Corran.
"Incidentally, my name's" he didn't get to finish as Corran answered for him.
"Xander Kedrin. Ex Corsec. You got the boot for "accidentally" shooting a superior officer."
"I see my reputation precedes me. For the record, there was no accident. I shot that fool simply because I didn't like his take on ethics."
"You're insane." Corran retorted.
"Now who's the Star Destroyer calling the Death Star grey? You're Jedi after all, if you had handed yourselves over in the war, millions could have been spared. So which of us is the more insane?" Xander shot back.
"I'd have to say the one who's talking smack to a Jedi and his friend who just happens to be holding two lightsabers. Count 'em" Anakin cut in..."one" Anakin motioned forwards with his red blade. "Two" Anakin finished, brandishing his blue blade too. Xander visibly paled as Anakins red blade came just a little too close to his nose.
"Anakin..." Corran started but was cut off.
"Gentlemen. I believe I was leaving." Xander finished, smiling thinly and shot Anakin an expression that clearly stated that this was but the beginning before he quickly stalked off, irked by the fact that he had been bested with words by a boy not half his age.

"Too close!" Vk'leita growled at the pilot after backhanding him. The resident leader of the Dark Blade clan was not pleased, the strange ship had come dangerously close to colliding with the Yautja's own vessel, barely scraping the hull.
Scans of the strange vessel had revealed an Ooman pilot, a female to be precise. "Interesting." Vk'leita growled. In all the galaxies charted, there were no records of Oomans having piloted such craft before. Scans of the weapon systems had shown them to be formidable though paltry compared to the Yautja mothership arsenal.
Vk'leita growled and moved his Rhynth-hide cape from behind him as he sat down, He was a fair leader if not a kind one and commanded the respect of many other leaders of the clans. Vk'leita mused to himself; If there were creatures capable of such technology all over this galaxy then it could prove a poor place to hunt.
Doubtless sentient prey had colonised the majority of the worlds by now and for the purposes of blooding ceremonies, that would not do. For the Kainde Amedha, the hard meat to breed and give formidable opponents for the wet behind the ears warriors, world without sentient prey would have to be located so that the young pups did not get overly excited and begin hunting prey that was far beyond them.
Those worlds with few sentient prey could be marked for later seeding with the hard meat, they of the armoured exoskeleton and acid blood. Fewer sentient prey meant that the possibility of others coming looking for them was slim and it also limited the hive creating capability of the hard meat, fewer sentient prey meant that fewer drones that grew would retain the genes for such intelligience in their genetic makeup.
Vk'leita hissed. If the rogue clan managed to find this galaxy they would most certainly not hesitate with seeding whatever world they found first. They cared not for the Yautjas highest law; Never to allow the hard meat to colonise a world nor allow them to spawn from too many sentient or intelligent hosts, to do so would mean certain Thei-de, death for the Yautja.
On their own, the Kainde Amedha were tough enough opponents, when coupled with genes that allowed them to access their higher brain functions, the results could be disastrous. Vk'leita hissed again though this time in memory, recalling a nightmare hunt in another galaxy that had began simply enough but had turned deadly.
Too many of the hard meat drones had spawned from an alien settlement, the species was simple but clearly intelligent showing understanding of the uses of plasma. Due to the intelligent genes the creatures had picked up they had desired to spawn further and colonise and to do that they would need a Queen. One of the drones that had managed to access its higher brain functions faster than the rest had shifted its hormones, undergoing metamorphosis into a Queen. The hunt had claimed the lives of all but three of twelve blooded warriors and one student who had survived and proven himself a credit to the Yautja race. Vk'leita smiled, his lower mandibles crossing.
Yeyinde had proven himself his fathers son that day, old Dachande would have been proud, the young warrior had managed to deal a decisive blow and after the fight, the blooded warriors had elected to give the skull to Yeyinde as his first trophy, the Queens skull now adorned the young warriors trophy wall on the Lightning Blade clans mothership. Vk'leita motioned to his second to take over, the old warrior had much to reflect on and had to also decide whether or not to involve his young friend and leader of the Lightning Blade clan.

"I could get used to this weather." Jacen Solo said as he walked up to Tenel Ka Djo, Queen of the Hapes consortium carrying two glasses of juice.
"Why is that friend Jacen?" Tenel Ka asked mischievously as she took her glass from him.
She knew full well why he was enjoying the weather, the light dress she was wearing accentuated all her curves and she had caught Jacen looking more than once, Tenel Ka flashed Jacen a smile, the young Jedi had been more open as of late and was quite easily talking with her now.
In fact, if she didn't know him better for the Darkside fearing, life-questioning Jacen Solo she had grown up with, she would swear blind that he was flirting with her.
"Well, for one, the sun and clear sky provide a breathtaking view." Jacen replied. Tenel Ka smiled, looking out over the garden. It was beautiful, she decided, the sunlight glancing at angles off the small pool in the centre.
"That is a fact." Tenel Ka said before sipping her juice.
"Though I have to confess, I think the view would be stunning no matter what the weather was like." Jacen said, flashing his fathers infamous grin. Tenel Ka let out a light laugh as Jacen broke into an open smile. "Walk with me?" He asked. Tenel Ka downed the remainder of her glass and looped her arm through Jacens', walking into the garden with him.
*********************
Yeyinde dropped quickly into the lowest levels of Coruscant, his powerful leg struts taking the jarring falls with the grace of a jungle cat.
These levels reminded the young warrior of a forest and scans with his mask had revealed minimal sentient lifeforms down here. Something vaguely doglike padded around the area Yeyinde had landed near and was sniffing the air.
Yeyinde switched to a thermal scan and growled in wonderment as he noted the strange creatures weapons. It was capable of spitting a form of acid, whilst nowhere near the lethal capabilities of the Kainde Amedha, the acid was still potent. Various toxins also lined the creatures paws and talons as well as its skin whilst the creatures interior seemed to house a small animal of sorts that was still alive.
Yeyinde took note of the creatures physical condition, it appeared to be decaying, perhaps having strayed too far from its nest it had become lost and was without sustenance. Another conclusion arose in Yeyindes mind; what if the creature had a hive mind like the hard meat.
If this was the case then perhaps its Queen or hive leader was destroyed, if so the creature would be left on its own and though not helpless, the creature would die without sustenance from the hive mentality.
The strange, scaled, quadraped noticed Yeyinde crouched on a low branch and snarled. Yeyinde smiled and flicked his right wrist forwards in a deft movement, unleashing his double wrist blades. The old battered Voxyn stalked Yeyinde for a while, gauging the distance to the low branch before leaping into the air, claws extended.
Yeyinde saw the creatures legs bunch as it prepared to leap and himself leapt a second before it. Yeyinde sighed as he landed and the creature fell in two pieces to the floor. A pity, such unworthy prey would not make a good trophy, still it had attacked with ferocity and without fear so instead Yeyinde clipped three claws from one of its paws and doused them in cleansing fluid to make sure no poison remained before adding them to his armour netting as decoration.
The small animal that had been inside the creature had been deftly sliced apart by Yeyindes' razor sharp blades, after scanning the small creatures remains, the impassive young warrior decided it was time to eat.

"We should have taken him." Anakin said as they walked to the nearest medical facility with Anna.
"There are alternatives to fighting Anakin, I thought you'd have learned that by now."
"I have, it's just that the guy is lower than the slime beneath a Hutt. He needs to be taken down before he takes someone out. Someone we might know." Anakin replied to Corrans admonishment. Corran sighed.
"Well, at least we got the young lady to a suitable facility. We'll keep tabs on her, just in case Xander tries anything, he might try to use her again to trap us."
"You'd have thought that people would learn to let go of the war and start trying to heal wouldn't you?"
"Yes. Unfortunately, under conditions of peace, the warlike man attacks himself." Corran replied.
"What's that mean?"
"It means that there will always be people who desire war over peace, and those who are foolish enough to start wars to appease themselves. Which is why we Jedi exist, or so your uncle tells me."
"No man should choose war over peace for in peacetime sons bury fathers but in war fathers bury sons." Anakin quoted.
"Hmm?"
"You aren't the only one whose been listening to Tionnes' philosophy lessons." Anakin said causing Corran to laugh a little.
"There may be hope for you young-ones yet." Corran chuckled. "Come on, your sister should be here by now." Anakin nodded though as he walked alongside Corran, he allowed his fingertips to graze to graze the hilt of one lightsaber as if he missed the fight that had almost occurred.

"Jaina!" Leia exclaimed as her daughter entered the Skywalker dwelling.
"Hi mom, I thought you weren't getting in 'til tomorrow?" Jaina said, smiling and setting her bag down on the floor.
"We managed to shave a day or so off, we didn't need to stop at as many places as we thought." Leia explained.
"Jaya!" A shrill childlike voice sounded. "Jaya! Jaya!"
"Oh no. He's awake huh?" Jaina concluded as Ben waddled at lightspeed round the corner and attached himself swiftly to Jainas left leg. Jaina couldn't keep up her pretence for long as she scooped the young Skywalker up, grinning.
"Oof. You got big didn't ya?" Leia smiled at her daughter and Bens antics as she moved Jainas pack into the side closet.
"Mistress Jaina, it is good to see you." C-3P0 greeted as Jaina entered the living room with Ben.
"Hi Threepio." Jaina greeted, "Hi aunt Mara."
"Hello Jaina. I see you've developed a strange growth there. A growth that should be in bed sleeping but chose now to wake up." Mara said, her voice dripping with sarcasm.
"Giving you trouble huh?"
"I don't know how your mother managed, if I don't go to the Darkside over him, it'll be a miracle." Mara replied, sweeping a lock of her flame red hair off her shoulder.
Jaina laughed lightly, setting Ben down on the floor. In seconds he was gone, scurrying off to find something to play with. Or destroy. Or eat. Or all three.
"Hey Artoo. Where's Dad and Uncle Luke?" Jaina asked as the small blue servo droid trundled around the living room.
"Right here kid." Han Solo said as he and Luke walked into the room off the balcony. Han wrapped his daughter in a tight hug. "You miss your folks kid?" Han joked.
"Yes, I did as a matter of fact." Jaina replied, smiling warmly and brushing some stray strands of hair out of her brown eyes. "Anyone notice anything weird around here?"
"Define weird." Luke replied.
"Well, on my way in to Coruscants atmosphere, my sensors said I nearly hit something, I looked out my viewport and nothing was there. Then I did a check with the force but I'm not too sure what I sensed, then I got down here." Jaina explained.
"Well, I can certainly relate." Luke said, sitting down next to Mara who had found Ben and who was busy figuring out why mums hair was a different colour from aunt Leia and Jayas. "I thought I felt a disturbance in the force not long ago, something like the calm before a storm, but I must have been mistaken. Mara thinks it was probably Ben waking up." Luke joked.
"Well, whatever it is, something is definitely not quite right around here." Jaina stated. Artoo let out a low whistle, agreeing with her.
"Hey, enough of all this doom and gloom talk, your brother will be here soon and Corran too. Looks like we've got a full house hey kid?" Han said, looking at Luke who was busy trying to get Ben to let his mothers hair go.
"When's Jacen coming? I thought he'd be here with you." Leia asked, her motherly concern taking over for a second.
"He'll be along when he's done. He's spending time with Tenel Ka."
"Ohh, courting a queen now. Well, well, guess he's trying to one up the old man eh princess?" Han joked, squeezing Leias hand. Leia smiled and grinned lightly.
"If your son picked up a few of your scoundrel qualities he's doomed." Leia complimented before continuing "At least I can say that he's nowhere near as scruffy looking as you are."
"Who's scruffy lookin'?!" Han said incredulously, not for the first time in his life.

Wall plating hung loose inside the Quasar Pulse. The small freight ship carrying a senatorial diplomat and his twenty bodyguards to Coruscant hung limply in space near the shining planet, as silent as the stars reflected in the durasteel hull.
Various tools floated around inside the derelict ship, the artificial gravity having shut down. The smoky air, thick with the oily static taste of burnt plasma echoed around the ship and proved that life support systems were still operable.
Blood stained walls and scorch marks led downwards towards the storage bay, the door to which was rent and twisted as if some great force had grabbed the door and bent it out of its frame. Gore and viscera hung in gobbets around the storagebay area and the acrid stench of plasma was replaced by the coppery tint of blood and the scent of death.
The storagebay itself was home to the horror scene itself, the twenty guards hung like cuts of meat from the ceiling, suspended by varying types of wire or cord or in one case the innards of some electrical appliance, its black tubing wound around the persons feet.
The twenty guards were completely relieved of their skins, their entrails pooling on the floor beneath them and what could only be the forces commander, the body remaining unskinned and fully clothed was strung up with the others with its head missing. The senator was found later, curled up in a ball under the bunk in his quarters in a blanket though underneath it, packs of coolant and ice covered him.
***********************
Night fell on Hoth. The ice planet had seen many visitors in its existence but never one so unsuited to its harsh winter climate. The clan known only as the Rogues, to their Yautja brethren, had made this world their home for now while they tried to figure out their next move.
The small Ooman filled craft near the glittering planet had proven a fruitless hunt and a waste of time, also it had brought them too close to the Dark Blade Clans ship which was in direct opposite to the Lightning clans ship in orbit of the strange world.
"Tarei'hsan!" Bakuub spat. How were they supposed to hunt when the most fruitful looking worlds were being watched by their accursed brothers? At this rate there would be no hunts of any worth, the single Ooman trophy he carried was but a paltry addition to his trophy wall which contained dozens of skulls of sentient species.
"Hah!" Bakuub spat again in contempt. Sentient species indeed! Those insects could not even defend themselves properly against such creatures as the Kainde Amedha, the hard meat the Yautja sucklings cut their teeth on to become warriors. The fact that he had slain many sentient beings before becoming blooded was proof that they were inferior prey, hardly worth hunting. Still, they passed the time, Bakuub mused. Soon the Rogue clan would rise from this accursed frozen wasteland and all would tremble at the hunt they would bring!

Tahiri yawned as she finished dressing herself. It had been a long day, she had been practicing Katas for most of it whilst the rest had been spent talking to the ferroans and the Yuuzhan Vong. They were settling in nicely, Tahiri thought to herself, fingering a limp strand of her golden hair idly.
Her Emerald eyes sparkled in the dim light of her room, her thoughts dwelling on the day and how she had felt she was being watched. the thought unsettled her and for a moment Tahiri wondered whether or not she was losing her mind again.
Vehemently she stamped those thoughts down
"I am me. I am one person, whole again. Whatever I sensed was probably due to my exercises, the heat and not eating today."
she reasoned with herself. Pleased with the assessment of herself, she readied for bed, sliding beneath the covers.
Before pulling the bedcovers up, Tahiri reached out towards the nightsand, fingering the small picture of Anakin and herself before the Myrkr mission, when times had been simpler. Closing eyes that had suddenly become blurry and uncommonly wet, Tahiri quickly cloaked the blankets around in a cocoon of sorts and let herself drift off to sleep, trying not to dream.
**********************
Anakin woke slowly, unwilling to let go of the dream. Emerald green eyes, blonde hair and a face decorated with three exotic scars had occupied the majority of it, until the alarm chrono had gone off.
"Vaping thing" Anakin said to it, bringing his fist down on it to turn it off. "I was having a good dream." Anakin reflected on the dream itself for a moment, wishing he could return to it. "A VERY Good dream." Deciding that he could do with a shower, Anakin headed for the fresher. It had been a busy night.
Corran and himself had gotten in a little later than they thought they would have, traffic had become a little congested and had made them late. When they arrived at his Uncles' home, everyone was talking and laughing, albeit in a slightly dimmed down tone, Ben having fallen asleep between Jaina and Mara, the leg of a plush Bantha figure in his mouth.
Corran made little mention of what had happened to Luke, just giving the briefest of details though Anakin could have sworn his sister was looking at him strangely.
Well, what did it matter? no-one had really talked for long after that, small talk was made and after about an hour, Corran had left and everyone was retiring to bed. Anakin stepped out of the shower, drying himself off before wrapping the towel around himself and walking back into his small room. Anakin got dressed slowly, having no rush though he could smell breakfast cooking in the kitchen.
"Hopefully mom isn't cooking." he said out loud. Sitting back onto his bed now in fresh Jedi robes, Anakin reached for his two lightsabers on the nightstand. Both lightsabers were almost identical in design, except that one was a darker version of the other. The one with the blue blade had a matt black main durasteel body, with chrome durasteel on smaller parts, which covered a copper coloured energy matrix and blade emitter, while the red blade had a chrome durasteel body and small matt black parts which covered the copper coloured components.
"So alike and so different." Anakin said to himself.
"Hmm."
Anakin thought.
"Talking to myself is not a good sign, and I've been doing it all morning."
Anakin glanced out the window at the now clear sky of Coruscant and clipped his lightsabers to his belt, it looked like it might be a good day. A tremor suddenly ran through Anakin as he looked out at the city.
"There's something out there."
Anakin thought grimly, his eyes narrowing and left hand gliding over one lightsaber handle. Anakin shook his head and glanced out the window again. "Must be losing it." Anakin said before running a hand through his unruly hair and heading to the kitchen for breakfast.
**********************
Yeyinde smiled under his mask as he strung up his last kill. The rain had broken only a few hours after he had slain that strange quadraped and Yeyinde had returned to the streets of Coruscant with his cloak activated, making it easy for him to slip in and out of the city.
The young warrior had wandered off into one of the more jungle like sectors, the roads becoming overgrown and disturbed by various forms of plantlife, and had encountered a group of Oomans and strange, tall, scarred aliens who seemed similar to the Oomans but more aggressive.
The second that weapons were revealed, Yeyinde had struck, jumping down into the throng from above. As soon as he had landed, Yeyinde flicked forwards his wrist blades and unfurled his glaive, twirling the deadly twin bladed weapon in his left hand. All but one had fallen by the end, one of the strange, scarred aliens.
The warrior unfurled a strange, serpentlike weapon before shouting what Yeyinde could only think of as a battle cry. The scarred and tattooed warrior had charged Yeyinde, the Yautja warrior having turned off the cloaking device.
The strange alien swung the serpentlike weapon at Yeyindes' face but stopped midstrike in a lightning fast movement and allowed the weapon to discharge some kind of venom which splashed against Yeyindes' mask. The internal sensors registered a nerve toxin of some kind and not for the first time in his life, Yeyinde was thankful for his mask.
The alien struck again with a horizontal slash, thinking Yeyinde blinded, but the Yautja had ducked and slid forwards in a single movement, disembowelling the Yuuzhan Vong in one strike with his wrist blades.
The scarred aliens' steaming intestines had pooled on the floor before the warrior had even known it was dead. The strange serpentine weapon slipped from its grasp and lay motionless on the grassy floor.
Yeyinde hissed at the memory as he cleaned the warriors skull. The ferocity and fearlessness with which it had attacked Yeyinde had impressed the young warrior, earning the strange alien an honoured place on Yeyindes' trophy wall.
Yeyinde hissed in surprise as the last of the tattooed flesh was peeled away. The warriors forehead was marred to the bone with a series of cuts. A blooded warrior? then this kill was to be honoured indeed. Yeyinde carefully placed the fallen warriors skull in his trophy pouch and also picked up the serpent weapon, being careful of the tip which spat poison. To honour the fallen warrior, Yeyinde would place the weapon underneath the warriors skull when it was mounted on his trophy wall, he decided.
A blooded alien warrior, whom amongst the Yautja could claim to have such a trophy? The females would pay him even further attention for such a kill, Yeyinde paused and thanked the warriors skull silently before moving away from the area, leaving the lesser kills dangling from various tree limbs, the skin flayed from their flesh and their entrails pooling underneath the corpses.

"Morning all." Anakin said as walked into the kitchen, being greeted by his family. Jaina sat on the farside of the table, munching down toasted bread with frill syrup dribbled over it.
"Hey little brother. Grab some food while there's still some left. Dad hasn't gotten up yet." Jaina replied as Anakin took a seat at the table, watching with comic interest as his Uncle attempted to feed Ben who was sitting in a high chair.
"Come on Ben, the X-wing cant land if there's no hangar bay." Luke said, moving the spoon around like a ship. Ben remained adamant however, shaking his head to keep the spoon away from his mouth. Mara laughed as she flicked the holo screen on.
"Having trouble?" She smirked.
"I'd rather fight my father again." Luke groaned as yet another attempt failed, Ben refusing to eat.
"No!" Ben stubbornly refused, slapping both palms down on the front of his high chair desk. Jaina sighed and looked over at her brother.
"Reminds me of someone I know." She said, brushing her hair over one ear with her free hand. Anakin rolled his eyes in reply.
"How about you let me take a crack at it?" Anakin asked his Uncle. Mara looked incredulously at her nephew.
"You? You sure? he's being mild right now you know." Mara warned, her tone light but her jade eyes deadly serious.
"I took an amphistaff in the ribs, copious torture at the hands of the Yuuzhan Vong and I've had Tahiri, Jaina and Mom mad at me in the same day. I think I can handle the kid." Anakin replied, though his tone wavered slightly as Ben backhanded the spoon out of Lukes hand, spattering his breakfast all over his fathers face.
"Okay. Anakin, you take over." Luke motioned towards his sheepishly grinning son, wiping Bens breakfast out of his eyes. Jaina laughed lightly.
"Ankin!" Ben shouted, eager for more victims.
"Okay kiddo, I'm coming. Now, I'll do you a deal." Anakin started, Ben looked at him inquisitively, his grey eyes sparkling with the decisions of spattering his cousin with food or listening to what he proposed.
"You behave for Anakin and eat your food, and I'll get you something good when I go into the city okay? Some sweets maybe. How about that?" Anakin offered, secretly praying that Ben would agree. Ben paused, mulling the decision over before nodding vigourously.
"See? a little bribe goes a long way." Anakin said sagely as he spooned Bens food into his mouth.
"True, but you know he's only going to expect sweets off you every time you're here now don't you?" Mara shot back as she sat down next to Luke, watching as her son swallowed his food, making odd faces as he did so. Anakin shrugged, clearly indicating that he didn't mind bringing his cousin sweets.
"Hey, I'll get points with Tahiri if she hears about my generosity and kindness to my cousin."
"No, you'll get points with Tahiri if she hears that you slew the mighty Ben Skywalker, scourge of his household, in ritual food combat." Jaina quipped as she sipped her stimcaf, her eyes alight with laughter. Anakin mused on his sisters' comment before sighing and nodding.
"You're right." Anakin was cut off from a more sarcastic reply by the sudden news report. The report showed a scene of brutal carnage in one of the more jungle-like sectors, apparently, a Yuuzhan Vong/Peace Brigade arms deal had been cut short.
The Peace Brigade Members and Yuuzhan Vong had been skinned alive and hung like cuts of meat from various tree branches. One Yuuzhan Vong, possibly the leader was reported to have been decapitated and his head not found. The brutality and animalistic coldness of the reports gory details shook the Skywalker/Solo clan.
Han and Leia had been walking in when the report came on and sat down slowly, their faces disturbed.
"Not that I ain't heard of or seen worse kid, but I just ain't heard or seen worse since the war ended." Han said, speaking to Luke.
"Very true. I wonder, could this have been something to do with the disturbance I sensed in the force?" Luke pondered.
"It's not outside the realm of the possible. When me and Corran were tracking those three idiots in that alley, I felt as though we were being watched, and Corran was really distracted." Anakin said as he finished feeding a messy looking Ben who began to chew on the spoon.
"Me too. When I was entering Coruscant space, I could've sworn I almost hit something. It's all too much to be a coincidence." Jaina said as she brushed a hand through her hair.
"Indeed mistress Jaina, the odds of this news report and the experiences each of you encountered not being related are..."
"Goldenrod?"
"Yes master Han?"
"Shut up." Han said.
"Well, I'll go round up Corran and take a look into the situation. Give me a call when Jace gets here, whenever that is." Anakin said, getting up from his seat.
"Bye kid, don't go playing hero now, last time you did that you gave me and your mother grey hairs." Han admonished. Anakin raised his hand in a goodbye gesture as he went out the door and called behind him as the door closed.
"I'll be fine. What could possibly happen to me on Coruscant?" Artoo let out a low whistle that sounded like a sad whine as the door closed.
"Oh, I'm sure master Anakin will be fine Artoo. After all, it isn't like he's on another world, he's right here at home." C-3P0 told the small, blue droid, though his voice lacked any true optimism.

Hmm... could be interesting.
One thing I'd suggest - it might be easier to write if you chopped it into smaller paragraphs, and break all of them up with a line each, and used some sort of marker for scenebreaks.

Like that.
Anyway, so this is AvPvSW? Interesting take on the whole 'crossover' idea...

I didn't know you dedicated this post to me. Shucks. Hopefully I will get out of these casts soon and became unmedicated so I can properly beta your story. I want a new post ASAP Morgoth.

Took me a while of searching (ok, maybe not that long) but I finally found this fic. Yo Morgoth! Dark Enemy of the guys down Swansea cause you steal all the hot girls!! You already know what I think of this fic and just in case you've forgotten (and for the benefit of those with flash photography) I like the idea of the AvP inclusion in the Star Wars galaxy, I like where this story is heading and wooohooo, sword fights that make sense thanks to Morgoth actually having some knowledge on sword fighting.
Just remember that no everything is interested in pointless romantic fics, we wanna see some action!

Okayyy...In case anyone is interested in reading, there's going to be a new post tomorrow if all goes according to plan, it's substantially shorter than the last one and therefore easier to read.

Course we wanna read more, you're a good writer. Think about it, if you weren't then you wouldn't have been nominated for an award with your other fic. I want to see some interaction between a Jedi and a Predator!! Oh and you haven't got Uni as a reason not to write anymore although you could use your annoying friend as an excuse, he's always talking about his novel.
Anyway I better get back to my own writing...

Okay guys, here's the next post, enjoy!
It was cold on Hoth. Perhaps that was an understatement but to Jamas Siiro, apprentice to the Sith Lady Lumiya it was simply cold. The freezing embrace of the darkside had long numbed his soul and senses of such discomforts. This was not Jamas' main concern right now however. What was Jamas' main concern was the invisible being that was slowly stalking him across the frozen tundra.
Jamas had been sent to scout out the surrounding area by his Master, the Lady of the Sith having chosen the old rebel base as her new fortress. Jamas had been far out, following strange readings and had stumbled upon a strange spacecraft. A number of strange, large alien creatures armed to the teeth stood around what appeared to be the entrance. Jamas had been as discreet as he could manage with the aid of the Force and had managed to leave without the strange looking aliens seeing him, or so he had thought. It was only shortly after he had left the area that he had discovered he was being followed. Jamas knew it was one of the strange aliens he had seen, the feeling in the force was far too similar. How he wished it was only a wampa that was following him, he could at least make a meal out of the carnivorous beast.
Jamas finally had enough when a small blizzard struck up. In the flurry of snow he could dimly make out the creature that was following him. The alien was very tall and clad in strange armour whilst the biting cold seemed not to affect it. Jamas stood his ground and ignited his lightsaber with a famiiar snap-hiss. The crimson red blade glowed against the pure white snow as if already sullying it with blood. The creature flicked forward its right wrist and a set of long blades popped out before the alien hunter turned off its cloak, allowing Jamas to see it fully. Jamas grimaced, the fight was going to be harsh at best, and took a firm grip on the hilt of his lightsaber. A tense moment hung in the air, the snow began to fall far more slowly, the blizzard coming to an end. The planet itself seemed to wish to bear witness to this battle.
"As last looks go, you could do far worse creature." Jamas called out to the large alien warrior as he looked around at the scenery, though a part of Jamas was speaking to himself. Every fiber in Jamas' being was screaming at him to run, that if he stayed and fought then he would die. The darkness within him was screaming too, howling like a baying wolf for him to destroy this abomination in front of him, to wring the life from its body and throw its corpse to the ground for the animals to feed on. The darkness won, as it always did for Jamas. At least Lady Lumiya could be proud of her apprentice, should she learn of his fate. This was the last thought of Jamas Siiro that was not focused on staying alive longer than the alien creature.
The two warriors knew when the moment had come, it was as if a storm had finally broken after waiting hours for dark clouds to gather. Jamas and the alien warrior charged one another, the alien uttering a gutteral howl that Jamas could only think of as a war cry. The tall alien swung his wrist blades at Jamas' head but he felt the blow coming in the force and ducked under it, severing the creatures right hand at the wrist. The creature bellowed in pain, managing to backhand Jamas roughly with its remaining hand. The warriors strange twin blades lay in the snow along with the charred stump of its clawed appendage. A strange metallic unfurling noise was heard by Jamas as he got up, blood streaming from his smashed nose. The creature now held a vicious looking glaive, two deadly blades gleaming like the surrounding snow, and spun it expertly in one hand, the movement imitating the blades of a fan. Jamas moved in, closing the distance and suddenly felt searing heat spread across his chest. The creature had moved so fast, Jamas had only sensed it in the Force as the blow began to land. Thankfully, this meant that he only had a slight gash running across his chest instead of his lungs being exposed to the freezing air.
Blood spread into his dark clothing, making it stick to his skin. A thin sheen of sweat began to spring on Jamas' brow, even though the air around him should have made sweat impossible. Jamas darted his blade in and out, sometimes connecting with flesh lightly, searing his opponent like a fine cut of Nerf steak, or sometimes his red blade would clash violently with the alien warriors glaive which somehow remained undamaged by his lightsaber. The strange aliens fighting style was unlike anything Jamas had ever seen, it reminded him of an exotic dance and it seemed focused solely on killing the opponent. Jamas caught a vertical blow and parryed off to the side only to have the alien ram its head into his own sending Jamas skidding across the ground, spreading blood into the snow. For the first time since meeting lady Lumiya, Jamas felt fear and with that fear also felt his own power beginning to grow for Jamas hated to be afraid. The hatred became swollen within Jamas as he fought the impassive alien creature and time and again was pushed back even after the most intricate of lightsaber techniques and footwork.
The hatred finally boiled over and Jamas became faster, stronger, more sure of his strikes. The time was now, Jamas then decided. A quick flurry of snow by way of the Force into the creatures mask and then Jamas feinted left and moved left also. This small trick was all he needed. The alien warrior thought he was going to move right and struck at that area catching nothing but air. Jamas had dropped his lightsaber blade low, diagonally to his right, and now brought it up in a vicious arc, cutting through his opponents side. As he passed however, the aliens footwork and technique outmatched the Sith apprentices and the hunter had been halfway into his Kata when Jamas had struck. The finale of the alien Kata ended with one of the glaives blades searing through Jamas' hip, sending the Sith apprentice crashing to the ground and creating a macabre crimson painting on the landscape.
Jamas felt the blow before it hit, he knew he had made a mistake even as he felt his lightsaber carbonise the creatures innards. The glaive had gone through his hip, though not a mortal wound, it would definitly slow him down and there were Wampas nearby, Jamas had seen their tracks. His lightsaber extinguished, Jamas turned himself over to look at his opponent who had hit the ground just after Jamas had. The force was telling him that the alien warrior was no danger and Jamas stared into the demonic grey mask the creature wore, hearing its breathing grow ragged and shallow. It did not have long to live. The creature made strange clicking noises inside its mask and the strange gauntlet, similar to the one the wrist blades had come out of, popped open. An odd panel of lights lit up and strange noises emanated from it. The creature began to laugh roughly and Jamas understood. Victory or death. Even the Sith could understand that. Jamas smiled at his opponent, grasping his lightsaber to his wounded chest.
"A draw it is then." Jamas said as the noises from the gauntlet stopped and white light evaporated Jamas Siiro and his alien counterpart from corporeal existence.

RE: Hunting Season =Post NJO/Aliens vs Predator crossover (A/T,J/J, J.TK et all...) NEW POST!!!!!!!!
Umm...yeah. Okay, no offence to anyone out there and I hate to sound like I'm whining, but is there any reason for me to continue this fic? It's been updated only yesterday and it's already on its way down page four. If anyone wants me to continue, let me know otherwise it looks like I'll be cancelling this fic,
and I personally much preferred it over Shadow Falling.
Morgoth (Dark Lord of being kinda depressed this fic got nowhere
