here ya go...
Jaina and Dela led Jag and Sari through the nighttime streets of Kuat. Jaina still was in minor shock after seeing Jag after so many years, and even more so at finding him engaged. Even though she had gotten over him years ago, she felt a slight pang of jealousy that he had found love again before she had. And whose fault is that? she fumed at herself angrily. I have Gad, why can’t I just love him? Nevertheless, she still was happy for Jag.
The hidden Jedi base was in the middle of a compost field. Garbage and scrap parts were strewn about in great heaps and mounds, sometimes as much as four times taller than Jaina.
Jaina went to a certain pile, indistinct from the rest. A large metal garbage can lid rested near the bottom. Both Jaina and Dela crouch next to it. They waved their hands over the top, and, seemingly out of nowhere, a panel of glowing numbers and screens appeared on its surface. Dela leaned next to it first, and punched in a code.
“Dela Manchonii,” a feminine, robotic voice said. “Indentity confirmed. Please prepare for retinal scan.” Two glowing beams of light jumped from the lid, searching Dela’s eyes, then disappeared. “Retinal scan, positive. Please enter security code of a Jedi inside base.”
“Waxarn Kel,” Dela said, then typed in another series of numbers.
The machine burred and whizzed. “Identity confirmed. Second Jedi password.”
This time Jaina leaned in and typed in her own code. “Jaina Solo, identity confirmed. Please prepare for retinal scan.” The beams again jumped from the can lid, examining Jaina’s eyes. “Retinal scan, positive. Please enter security code of a Jedi inside base.”
“Kyp Durron,” Jaina stated, then keyed in another set of digits.
“Identity confirmed.” A low, grating noise emitted from somewhere inside the heap. “Proceed.”
Outwardly, however, there was no change.
“What happens next?” Sari asked, fascinated by the process.
“The door cannot be opened manually. We have to use the Force to open it from the inside,” Jaina explained. She and Dela extended their hands. There was a rumbling and scraping, and a positive sounding
click
. In a flash of motion Jaina grabbed the lid and jerked it open. “Hurry!” she exclaimed. “We have twenty seconds to get inside or it closing and we have to do it all over again.”
They all quickly filed inside the shaft, which led to a small, dark room. Jaina was the last one in and pulled the door quickly shut behind her. “Tisk catha moto mana hitia,” Jaina said.
The lights flickered on suddenly, and there in front of them was a large window. Standing at the window were three people, two not unfamiliar to Jag. One was Kyp Durron, the other Jacen Solo; the third, however, Jag did not recognize. All three held expressions of concern, confusion, and irritation.
A large metal door slid open to the right of the window and Jaina and Dela went inside, Jag and Sari followed quietly. All three men embraced Jaina and traded welcoming gestures with Dela, but their attitudes toward Jag was stunned at best. Jag decided to break the silence first.
“Kyp, Jacen, its been a long time.”
“Jag?” Kyp asked, incredulous.
“It’s good to see you too, Kyp.”
Kyp smiled slightly. “Always. What are you doing here? And who is this?”
“We rescued them,” Jaina stated simply, and not with just a little amusement. “They were being attacked, and I guess robbed.”
“Hmm,” Kyp said simply. “That’s quite a coincidence.”
“My thoughts exactly,” Jacen interjected, eyeing Jag suspiciously.
Jaina frowned in her brother’s direction. “There is no such thing as an coincidence when you trust your fate to the Force. Its quite plausible that we were led to save them.”
“I suppose,” Kyp agreed. “Again, however, I ask, who is this?” he gestured at Sari.
“This,” Jag said, putting an arm protectively around Sari, “is my fiancée, Sari. Sari, this is Jedi Masters Kyp Durron and Jacen Solo. You, however,” Jag said to the unidentified Jedi. “I have not had the pleasure of being introduced to.”
“I’m Gad,” he said simply, looking distrustfully in Jag’s direction. Warily he returned his attention to Jaina. “Why did you bring them here?”
Again, Jaina scowled. “I did the safe thing by bringing them. Uncle Luke will decide whether it is safe to let them go or not.”
“You compromised our position,” Gad said.
“In an attempt to save lives,” Jaina snapped back harshly. “I will not apologize for making a wise decision, whether you think it was or not.”
Gad went silent, fuming. His annoyed gaze settled unhappily on Jag. Jag didn’t flinch.
“Well, I guess the best thing to do would be to take you to the council immediately,” Kyp said. He gestured for them to follow. Jag noticed that as they left the foyer area and moved into the rest of the base Jaina pulled Gad aside. They spoke in soft tones and the last thing Jag saw as the door closed behind him was Gad leaning down for a kiss.

well, i finished in record time, so here it is tonight...
“Why are you acting like this?” Jaina snapped. “You’ve never been so obstinate with me before.”
Gad looked uncomfortable. “You compromised the loc—”
“Oh, come off it!” Jaina snorted. “What’s bothering you?”
Gad tossed a glance in Jag’s direction. “Kyp said that you were in love with him. Is that why you brought him here?”
Jaina was taken aback. Of course she hadn’t! What had gotten into him? “I can’t believe you’re even suggesting that!”
“Well?” Gad pressed. “Is it?”
Jaina took a moment to examine her own motives. Gad had pointed out an interesting possibility, but not in the way he meant. “Hmm,” Jaina said to herself.
“Hmm!” Gad exclaimed. “Hmm?”
“Not like that,” Jaina sighed. “I was just thinking; trust me Gad, I got over Jag a long time before I ever met you. What I meant was, is it possible that there’s still some lingering Force connection between us that led me to him? It’s an interesting possibility.”
Gad scowled. “Interesting? It’s interesting that you still feel something for him?”
“No! That’s not what I’m trying to say at all. I’m trying to say that I’m wondering how long a bond like that lasts to a Jedi. I haven’t seen Jag in…six, seven years at least, and yet maybe I’m still attuned to his individual Force signature.” She smiled reassuringly. She may not have the kind of feelings for Gad he had for her, but he was still one of her closest friends. She hated to see him hurt. “Trust me. There’s no way you’re going to lose me to Jag.” That, at least, was the truth. If he lost her it would be for other reasons entirely. “He’s engaged to someone else, for heaven’s sake!”
Gad looked self-conscious. “I’m sorry. I just freaked out a little.”
“It’s all right.”
Gad leaned in for a kiss. Jaina wanted to pull away, to find an excuse to make him stop, but that would only worsen his doubts. So, reluctantly, she let him kiss her, but pulled away as quickly as she could. “Come on,” she said hurriedly. “We need to catch up to the others.”
* * *
When they did catch up, Jag and Sari were already being presented to the Council, which included Jaina herself. She took a seat reserved for her at the end, next to Jacen. Beside Jacen was Kyp, then Corran, Mara, and Luke. Leia, who was a tie-breaker vote but otherwise was not a regular member, sat on the end opposite Jaina. A few people who had known Jag during the war were there, including Jaina’s father, who stood along the back wall, talking softly with Dela. Luke nodded to Jaina and Gad as they entered.
“I guess we can start now,” he said. “So, Jaina, why don’t you explain to everyone the situation.”
Jaina started with her mysterious Force-induced danger sense, and described what had happened up until they reached the base. Everyone listened carefully, but no one interrupted. When she finished Jaina pondered how the war had changed the Jedi. Before they would have welcomed Jag and Sari with open arms, but because of the danger presented to them, Jedi were often overcautious nowadays, but rightly so. Jaina had lost too many comrades to the enemy to make light of the council’s precautions.
“And so,” Mara said carefully, “you brought them here so we could decide whether or not they were a threat?”
Jaina raised her chin slightly. “Yes. I think I did the right thing.”
“It’s a difficult situation,” Luke explained. He turned slightly to face Jag. “Jag, this is not a question of you integrity or whether or not you would sell us out, but of your safety as well as ours. I’m sure there was at least one or two witnesses, and so the rumor will quickly be spread that the Jedi are on Kuat. The Insurgency will be looking for you now. And if they found you they would tear your mind apart looking for our location. If we let you go, would you leave here immediately, then head straight for Chiss space?”
“No!” Sari gasped. “We have to stay! I haven’t found my ring yet!”
Jag shot her an exasperated look. “I don’t think you understand, Sari. Leaving immediately may be our only safe choice.”
“I don’t care!” she said, looking as if she was on the verge of tears. “We can’t leave yet. I won’t.”
Jag looked helplessly around the room, then shrugged in Luke’s direction. Luke shook his head imperceptibly. “Alright, all that’s left to do then is vote. All in favor of letting them go now?”
Mara, Jaina, and Kyp all raised their hands. “I just don’t think Jag would get caught that easy, or divulge our location,” Mara said to Luke.
“I guess it’s a tie then.” All head turned towards Leia, who seemed to be in deep thought.
“I think,” Leia said very carefully and slowly, “that at this point in time, it’s too risky. Let’s wait a few days, then if there doesn’t seem to be much stirring in the city, we can let them go.”
“I think that’s acceptable,” Luke said. “All in favor?” Seven hands raised around the table.
“Fine. Jag, Sari, Dela will show you where you’ll be staying while you’re here.”

Is Sari blonde? No offense to me or any other blondes, but I think she would be the one true definition of a "dumb blonde". I hate her. Can Jaina "accidentally" break her nose or something once she gets to know her? Pretty please???!

So, Jaina and Jag are stuck in what I'm guessing is a fairly small Jedi base for at least a few days. True, they're not exactly alone, but still... Things could get interesting.
It sounds like you've got some big plans for this story. I'm looking forward to seeing how it all pans out. And since you've listed this as a J/J, I hope that happens sooner rather than later in the story. I agree with everyone else. Jag needs to dump Sari. He can do so much better than her.
May I make one request? Could you maybe double space between the paragraphs? It makes it easier to read.

Oh my goodness. I have missed posts! Darn you, work!
“The door cannot be opened manually. We have to use the Force to open it from the inside,”
I see an up and down to that.
Jaina frowned in her brother’s direction. “There is no such thing as an coincidence when you trust your fate to the Force. Its quite plausible that we were led to save them.”
Jaina? Whoa.
Sari, you kriffing idiot.
How did Jag end up with you?
Stuck in the base for awhile? Hmmm, time for Jaina and Jag to meet again...alone.
Great updates!

I mentioned in my second post when Jag was describing her that Sari was, indeed, blonde.
And since you've listed this as a J/J, I hope that happens sooner rather than later in the story. I agree with everyone else. Jag needs to dump Sari. He can do so much better than her.
I
could
do that sooner than i had planned...nah.

sorry bout that. i indent in Word, but somehow it doesn't transfer...
i'll space between paragraph from now on.
Oh my goodness. I have missed posts! Darn you, work!
i've been posting a new one almost everyday, but that'll probably change soon since my schedule is getting more hectic farther into the school year. check anyway, i'll do my best.
Sari, you kriffing idiot. How did Jag end up with you?
i'll cover that later on, too. sorry i couldn't get the next chapter up today, but i'll try my best to have another by tomorrow evening. if not, by Wednesday at the latest.

okay, i was almost
mean
and didn't write the secnd part about Jaina till later, but this makes the mystery so much juicier. please comment.
Jag and Sari were given two small rooms next to each other, told not to leave until morning, and left alone. Jag surveyed the room carefully. There was no sign of listening devices, though he could think of no reason why there should be. He set down on the bed and pulled off his boots gratefully. About that time there was a knock on the door. Jag sighed and went to answer it. It was Sari.
“I’m scared,” she said carefully. “Can I stay here for a while?”
“Sure, come on in,” he said. “So, what do you think of the Jedi so far?”
Sari frowned. “I think they’re awfully rude for keeping us here this way. And arrogant.”
“They’re interesting,” Jag said carefully. “They have a strong sense of duty and commitment. Most of them are actually quite normal, when you get to know them.”
“Like your fiancée?” Sari frowned.
“Jaina?” Jag scowled. “We were never officially engaged. I haven’t seen her in…” he trailed off as he jerked the boot off the other foot, “seven, eight years, or something like that. I was surprised to see her here, actually. When I knew her she always had to been in the thick of things. Hiding in a base doesn’t seem typical from what I remember.” Jag had yet to pick up on Sari’s sour attitude towards the fact that he had been so happy to see his former girlfriend.
Sari sat down on the bed next to him. “Why did you break up?”
Jag sighed heavily, not wanting to think about it, really. “It doesn’t matter.”
“Yes it does!” Sari snapped. “I want to know.”
“Well, after the war was over I asked her to come back to Chiss space with me. She declined, saying that she wanted to live a little before she settled down. We continued to send messages, but the longer we went the less frequent they became. Both of us began to move around more, and it became harder and harder to correspond. Once, when it had been about two or three months since we had spoken, I wrote her a message. I said that I understood if she wanted to end things cleanly, but that this was no way to live. If she wanted to stay together, I needed to know. I needed some sort of commitment. If she didn’t, well, she didn’t even have to tell me. If she didn’t write back I would know.”
“What happened?” Sari interrupted.
Jag looked at the floor, feeling unusually melancholy. “I never heard from her again.”
Sari was quiet for a few moments. Then she came and wrapped her arms around his waist from behind. “How long after that did you meet me?”
“About three years,” Jag said, turning to embrace her back. He rested his chin on her head, and breathed in her comforting scent pleasingly. “And I haven’t looked back since.”
* * *
“Well,” Kyp said, taking a seat beside Jaina in the small lounge-like room, “that was interesting. I can’t believe you just happened upon Jag again, after all these years.”
Jaina fingered a lock of her hair, deep in thought. “Mmhmm.”
Gad smiled at her across the room. “She’s not listening to anything you’re saying.”
Jaina looked up with a scowl. “I am too. I was just thinking. Sari seems so…not Jag like.”
“And who is Jag-like?” Kyp said suspiciously. “You better not be thinking what I think you’re thinking.”
Jaina glared at him. “No, I’m not. I was just thinking that if that’s what he wanted me to be, it’s a good thing he ended it.”
“What are you talking about?” Gad asked.
Kyp sighed heavily. “He broke her heart. I was getting angry at the prospect that she was considering patching things up.”
“How? What did he do?” Gad asked, suddenly angry.
“Ah, see what you did?” Jaina snapped at Kyp. She turned to Gad. “It wasn’t all that bad. We stopped corresponding much after the war, and eventually just quit. Finally I sent him a message, asking whether he wanted to pursue a more permanent relationship. If he didn’t, all he had to do was not respond. I never heard from him again.”

Oooh. Mixed, or missed, messages ended it between them. Interesting.
Someone needs to put Sari (and by association, Jag) out of her (his) misery.
Please.
I think he went for the most un-Jaina-like female that came along. Space-bimbo Sari doesn't offer any challenge - except to everyone's patience. She's pretty and she must be good at something ... if you catch my drift.
What a great OC! Not the usual, run-of-the-mill alternative to Jaina, and she keeps us coming back for more!
