YES!!! My day (though its almost over!) was totally made!!! So stellar, what an update!!!! Quite a time gap there...but it fits and flows! However...what is Mara going to do with that info? Hmmm....reconciliation? Please?!? 
Thank you so much for the lovely new chappie...I'm *im*patiently waiting for more!!!!

Wow! Great update. 
“Luke took it hard when you left,” he told her.
Mara shifted in her seat uncomfortably. “I knew he would. It was harder for me.”
“How, exactly?” Wedge struggled to keep the accusation out of his tone. “He was the one who had no idea where you’d gone, what you were doing. It’s not my business, and maybe it’s not his either, but you could have at least been courteous and broken it off cleanly – given him an explanation.” Wedge didn’t entirely understand what had happened between Luke and Mara – Luke wasn’t one to give a lot away and Wedge respected him enough not to ask. But he had seen the effects, he had seen Luke throw himself back into his work trying to pretend nothing had ever happened. But he had changed on the inside, something within him - his innate trust and willingness to give anyone the benefit of the doubt – that had been damaged.
“I know,” Mara said quietly. He had expected her to get riled at him, but there was no anger in her tone. Maybe, Wedge thought, she had changed too. “But it’s too late now, he’s moved on,” she added.
This part and Wedge's parting statement both really plucked at my heartstrings.

Very nice segue, JL! I like how you've made it two years later, I even like how you wove Callista into the mix and, of course, WEDGE! One of my personal favorite pilots after the farmboy.
The scene between Wedge and Mara sizzles. I can just feel the animosity Wedge has towards Mara, but the gentelman in him tries to maintain a certain civility. Not only am I happy to see an update (I've always enjoyed this story) but the quality of your writing never waivers.

Here and ready as ever.  This was an exciting chapter. 1 thing, though! When is poor Luke going to be happy? 1st Mara and thankfully Callista. But really poor Luke needs a break. I think we know a red head who could help. It's always a good day when wonderful updates are made. Thanks for a great read.

I was a little confused there for a second. I thought, "Callista! Where did she come from?" Then I thought okay she is going to mess with his male ego again and leave. Glad she is done and Luke is no worst for wear. So far. Am worried that Luke is going to bury his humanity so deep and become the stoic diamond hard Jedi Master that it will take a master cutter to find his heart. He needs a big hug.  Love that Wedge! He has always been one of my very favorite characters. Always knows what to say and is loyal as a old hound dog. Good old Wedge. Just hope Mara has come to terms enough with herself to go back to her dear friend/lover and clear her conscience. I think she will. Super job and missed you! Thanks.

This story is amazing!!! Quite the twists and turns. And Callista?? Thank God we didn't have to see too much of that.

Yea!!! An update. Wonderfully written! Usually I don't like the bodysnatcher, but she really hasn't interfered with the L/M part of the story and her leaving might get Mara to seek out Luke. She better seek out Luke. I WANT A HAPPY ENDING!!!

Wow, JL! Fantastic change of gears in storytelling. So many more variables out there to get in the way of Luke and Mara finally (hopefully ) getting together for good. Wedge was a sweet add to the mix, too!  I always enjoy your updates...this one certainly made my night. It is reading work like this that makes me miss the forums so much now that I'm back in student mode... Well, until the next update!
