I really enjoyed this chapter.  The interaction between Luke and Jaina was sad. I really feel for Jaina. And I want to reach out to Luke and tell him to snap out of it. 
“And spread my ashes over Mykrr . . .” She pulled away from him, rejecting the soothing feelings coming from the Force. “Either that or Sernpidal. Chewie and Anakin always understood me. Neither of them would reject me like this.”
I found the part above to be really touching. Especially Jaina's comments about Chewie and Anakin. 
You really have a knack for writing wonderful banter and interaction between Cem and Jaina. I got a kick out of the "my enemy's enemy is my friend" bit.

Now, on with the update. (Jag won't be here for a while, but Kyp and Zekk are both in this post.)
Chapter Five
His breath was hot against her skin, but it was his words that made her shudder. It was his words that caused the cascade of emotions to rush through her body. Since she had escaped from Vong captivity, she had been rejected by one person after another. And now here was Cem, a complete stranger, but willing to accept her claims.
And more than that, he was willing to trust and protect her.
It was more than Jaina’s stressed mind could take. With a barely suppressed sob, she flung her arms around him in a thankful embrace. “Thank-you. Thank-you so much,” she murmured, her voice muffled by his neck.
Cem swallowed hard as the young woman’s body was suddenly pressed against him. With a soft laugh at her reaction, he rubbed her back soothingly. “Don’t thank me just yet.” I’m not all sunshine and roses. I’m not even here to do good, he thought.
Jaina didn’t pull back. She didn’t question his words. “Thank-you . . .” she whispered again. More tears slipped from her eyes. Mentally she berated herself for crying. Couldn’t she regain any sense of dignity at all?
Right now it seemed absolutely impossible.
Cem kept rubbing her back, moving his hands in slow soothing circles. “You gonna be okay?” he asked after a while. He moved back, tilting her head toward his face. “It can’t really be that bad, can it?”
Jaina gave him a brave, teary smile. With the back of one hand, she wiped the tears from her eyes. “It is bad . . . but this makes it better. You make it better.”
“Yeah, well . . .” he hesitated. He wasn’t supposed to be making friends at the Jedi Temple. He was supposed to be spying; he was supposed to be gathering information on the Kiliks, making sure that they would not return to assault the Chiss Ascendency. And he was supposed to be looking – discreetly of course – for some way to put Jaina Solo out of the picture forever.
Those goals didn’t involve protecting someone claiming to be her.
Jaina sensed his hesitance and stepped away from him. “I’ll be all right. It’s just been really, really stressful.”
Cem gave her a measured look, his sky blue eyes appraising her silently. “Yes. You will be all right. I said I would protect you, didn’t I?” His mission, he decided, had nothing to do with this woman. Even if she really was Jaina Solo, she wasn’t the same person that had torn his brother’s heart out.
Jaina felt a smile tug at the corners of her mouth. “Yeah, you did say you’d protect me.” She brushed a strand of hair away from her cheek and felt the rough edges of the scar Khay Don had given her before switching places. Her smile faltered and she ran her fingers along the scar tissue.
Cem, seeing her mood darken, decided now would be a good time to change the subject. He ran through a mental list of topics that were usually successful at cheering people up and decided that – under the circumstances – family was out as was recent events. However, before he could come up with a topic, his comlink chirped, causing him to jump.
Jaina politely moved away from him, walking slowly to the small bedroom’s only window. She still heard him answer.
“Cem Flare,” his tone was clipped and military sharp.
Jaina shifted slightly, catching his reflection in the window panes. He was standing Chiss-straight, his back turned to her and his comlink raised to his mouth. “I’m not alone at the moment,” he said carefully.
She watched him tilt his head to one side. “How important?” he asked, lowering his voice. He sighed and shifted. “One second.” He hit the side of his comlink, putting his caller on hold and clearing his throat in order to catch Jaina’s attention.
Jaina turned around. “I’ll go.”
He furrowed his forehead. “I’m not sure that would be a good idea. I’m supposed to be protecting you, and I can’t do that very well if I’m here and you’re there.”
Jaina opened her mouth, about to assure him that his acceptance meant much, much more than the promise of protection ever would.
But Cem spoke up first. “I’ll take the call by the landing field.”
“Landing field?” Jaina echoed.
He nodded, heading toward the door. “There are usually quite a few Jedi loitering around. I’ll be able to take my call in relative privacy while still keeping an eye on you.”
“Is that really necessary?”
He nodded. “Until we know exactly what Joiner-Jaina is planning, I need to stay close to you.”
Now Jaina was really hesitating. She didn’t want to be intruding in on his life like this. “I’m sure you have –“
Cem caught her elbow. “Don’t be silly, Jaina. If by protecting you I get to cross blades with Joiner-Jaina, I’m game.”
“But –“
“I want to protect you,” Cem said. He drew her close to him, resting his chin on top of her head. “Let me . . . please?”
Jaina didn’t respond immediately. She was finding herself shocked that Cem was taller than her. He certainly didn’t seem to be imposing at all. He seemed to be just the right height, with only enough wiry muscle to make him seem fit. But she could feel a dangerous strength in his arms as he hugged her.
Her voice was soft and contemplative. “You really hate her, don’t you?”
Cem’s voice hardened. “Yes.”
Jaina licked her lips. “Right. Then what are we waiting for?” Even as the words left her mouth and Cem guided her toward the landing field, she felt a surge of remorse for days long past. It felt like it had been ages since she had last said that particular line.
It made her think of her training before the Yuuzhan Vong invasion. It made her think of Tenel Ka and Lowie. She almost asked Cem about them, but he was moving at a brisk pace, footsteps quick and even.
His mouth was pulled into a tight, concentrated line. Jaina got the impression that whoever was waiting on the other end of the line was not the type of person you kept waiting.
At the landing field, she split away from him, walking across the duracrete pad. Ossus was an interesting planet. The landing field was outdoors, so there was a glare of brilliant yellow sunlight spilling across the platform.
Here and there, she spotted small groups of Jedi talking, their brown robes billowing slightly in the breeze. She also spotted the Millennium Falcon, and could just make out the form of her father working on some sort of repairs. She decided he was back from whatever mission Luke had said he was on. Or maybe the Falcon’s need for repairs had made the trip impossible.
She remembered him shooting at her and turned away, a sour taste filling her mouth. Her father was supposed to always be able to recognize her. That he didn’t hurt. The spot on her back where her mother’s knee had connected hurt too . . .
Catching sight of an approaching x-wing, she let her thoughts focus on the way the machine maneuvered skillfully in for a landing. With a bit of a start, she realized that she hadn’t actually flown anything since she had escaped from Vong captivity.
The coralskipper and her ride aboard the Falcon (during which she had been unconscious) didn’t count. She wondered if flying would still be the same for her now that she had lost her connection with the Force.
Almost against her will, she wondered closer to the x-wing. When it landed, she closed the last couple of feet between her and it and ran her hand along the cooling metal.
She was just thinking that she would like to talk to Luke about maybe taking a ship up for a spin when the canopy opened.
The pilot pulled his helmet off, running one hand through his dark hair and giving it a good shake. Then, movements smooth and powerful, he dropped to the ground beside her, green eyes taking in her appearance.
“What have you been up to?” Kyp Durron asked casually. He glanced at his hand, drawing Jaina’s gaze down, and then moved lightning fast to place one hand against the scar on her cheek. “Fighting again?”
Jaina stumbled back, caught off guard by his sudden touch. “No.” She regained her balance and stepped closer to him. “Do you know who I am?” she asked.
Kyp gave her a quizzical look. “Uhmm… yeah.”
Jaina’s heart fluttered. “Really. Then you believe me?” A warm and fuzzy feeling swept through her body. Once upon a time, she wouldn’t have even spit upon Kyp if he was burning to death. That was before he’d guided her away from the dark side. She’d forgiven him for his transgressions against her since then. Mostly.
Kyp gave her a strange look. “What are you talking about?”
Her breath caught, and she mentally berated herself for feeling hope. “Oh, I see.” She moved away from him, mind and body numb. What kind of idiot consistently assumed that everyone would recognize her instantly?
She thought about what Khay Don had said. I want everyone to love me, like they all loved you. Did she really feel that she was that important? Did she really think that everyone had loved her? Was she vain?
She lost her footing and was suddenly falling toward the duracrete floor. Then Kyp’s hand locked around her elbow, steadying her. “Careful, Jaina.”
She shook her head. “Don’t say it unless you mean it. Please . . .” Once he heard the story he would be viewing her as a Vong. Maybe he’d even be trying to kill her. Maybe he would feel scorn for her. But whatever emotions would surface, she didn’t want their appearance to be further strengthened by a false acceptance now.
“Unless I mean what?” Kyp asked.
Before she could answer, Han’s voice floated across the landing field. “Kyp, that’s not Jaina.”
