Aww! Kyp made coffee! Good boy!

It looked just like the office from that old holodrama The Corellian Hawkbat.

*giggle* I still love it!

~Michiru’s aquamarine eyes scanned the diary and narrowed. “So, you went to America during Summer? I don’t remember that.”
~The younger woman’s face had a nervous smile on her face. “Well, what was I supposed to say? ‘The trees of Yavin IV were particularly beautiful this time of year, and no piranha beetle attacks happened during Jacen and Tenel Ka’s wedding’?”

Yeah... probably wouldn't go over that well! grin

She knew darkness was coming; she just didn’t know when.

*smiles with Setsuna at the irony*

Chiyo and Hotaru let out simultaneous exhalations. “Those two are insane,” Chiyo-chan said.

Harsh! Yomi is perfectly.... *reads Hotaru's reply* Yeah! What she said!

She turned around and saw another classmate standing behind her. Why didn’t I sense her? “When did you get there, Osaka?”

So awesome! XD

~Hotaru ran her hand through her short, midnight-black hair. Why didn’t my Force suggestion work on Osaka?
~The spacey teen’s eyes focused on Hotaru. “Umm, what’s a ‘Force suggestion’?”

I can't wait until Luke meets her at graduation!!! Oh my gosh, classic! Luke hadn't been THAT cunfused since he woke up the first time under an ysalamiri blind!

Naruto stood up, thrust a clenched fist into the air and half-shouted, “I went over to Hinata’s house, Yukari baby!”

*Jaded_Girl collapses with laughter, feeling even more sorry for Yukari-sensei than last time!*

~The hyperactive teen sat back down and dully said, “I don’t need to know that.”
~Yomi’s eyebrows arched in surprise. “How’d you do that, Hotaru?”

Gah, Yomi would KILL for that technique!

Before she could speak, Ryo looked over and spoke. “I love you too, Ami.”

Awww! love tongue

The psychic and the knight then left the apartment building and went out for a night on the town.

Love the way you phrase that!

Uppers!

Jaded_Girl-Yes, Kyp's a good boy. wink No, Hotaru telling the truth would probably put her in the insane asylum. tongue Yeah, what Hotaru said. I can't wait either. That's why I changed it from Tomo to Naruto, actually. grin And glad you liked my Ryo/Ami mush. grin

Here we go!

*****
The two lightsabers struck each other, sending out a shower of sparks and a loud whine as they slid against each other. Minako abruptly disengaged from Rei's lightsaber and pirouetted around on the ball of her right heel, coming in from the left. Rei stumbled a bit, but she quickly recovered and blocked Minako’s swing. “I’ve got the next CD written out,” the idol said through clenched teeth. “All that’s left now is recording!” The last words rose as she went on the defensive.

Rei took a step back and sent a series of strikes at Minako’s orange plasma blade. “Is it wise to release a new CD so soon after the last one?”

The blond Senshi parried Rei's attacks with efficient strokes and spoke between breaths. “It’ll” smash “be” parry “a bit” gasp “before it’s done.” She suddenly jumped up and somersaulted over Rei's head, twisting in midair and landing right as the miko began turning to face her.

Minako’s blade came down at Rei’s head and it was barely blocked. By now it was almost 3:00 PM, and Rei was beginning to tire, even with assistance from the Force. She gasped, and her long black hair was soaked and matted down with sweat.

Minako, however, still breathed evenly and showed no signs of fatigue. Rei gasped out and her shoulders heaved. “How… are… you still fresh?”

Minako disengaged from their deadlock and swept low with her lightsaber, forcing Rei to step forward. “I was always fit, Rei. And my days as Sailor V forced me into a training regime I still do.” A sly smile crossed her lips. “Of course, I could just be stronger in the Force than you.”

The priestess’ temper spiked, but she immediately went through a short meditative exercise. I am of the Light, not the Dark. I do not control the Force, nor does it control me. She turned around completely and faced Minako. “I was personally trained by Luke Skywalker and Mara Jade Skywalker. You are not more powerful than me!” She reached out with the Force and telekinetically shoved Minako back.

She quickly rolled through though and stopped in a kneeling position with lightsaber up in a guard position.

A half-second later, Rei was already attacking with her lightsaber. She swung at Minako, who could only block. The two women pushed against each other, neither giving ground.

Off on the side, Artemis checked a small clock set up next to him on the bench. He noted the time and shouted, “Time’s up, you two!”

Rei straightened and held her lightsaber straight up. Minako slowly got to her feet and held her lightsaber in an identical position. “Thanks for the workout,” Rei said, deactivating the blade and hooking it to her belt.

Minako nodded. “I thank you as well.” She extinguished the orange blade and clipped it to her skirt with one smooth motion before walking over to Artemis. “This was a great idea, Artemis,” she said, petting the white feline.

Artemis purred and rubbed his head against Minako’s hand.

Rei walked over and picked up two cans of soda. She tossed one to. “Same time next week?”

The blond Senshi of love flashed her friend a victory sign and smiled. “I’ll be here.”

Later that night
Usagi set a plate of rice and fried chicken in front of Mamoru. He bowed his head in thanks and began eating. “This is delicious, Usako!” he said between gulps.

She clapped her hands together and jumped up. “Thank you!”

Mamoru chuckled to himself and resumed eating. “I might be home late tomorrow. The boss has a special project for me.”

His wife nodded as she ate. Even though she was nearly twenty-seven years old, she still consumed her food with wild abandon. Mamoru had to occasionally telekinetically deflect some of the food away. Hmm, Jedi powers do come in handy in things other than battle.

Usagi swallowed, took a sip of water and then spoke up. “I’m going shopping tomorrow, anything you need picked up?”

A small voice came from the floor. “Please pick up some more tuna.”

Usagi’s eyes narrowed and bent down. She looked at Luna and scowled. “That’s not in the budget, Luna. We can‘t afford any tuna at the moment”

A small gasp escaped the black cat’s lips. “You’re so responsible, Usagi!” Luna’s mouth soon reformed into a toothy grin. “I’m proud of you.”

Usagi smirked. “Well, I am a Jedi Knight, after all. And someday I’ll be Neo-Queen Serenity, leader of Crystal Tokyo.” She laced her fingers together and rested her head on them. “Oh, I don’t know if I can do this!” she suddenly cried, her shoulders heaving.

Mamoru put his fork down and stood up. He put a comforting hand on Usagi’s shoulder and said, “You must have faith in yourself, Usako. I know it will be hard, but I’ll be there for you.”

She looked up at her soulmate with tears in her eyes. “Oh, thank you Mamo-chan!” The young woman leapt to her feet, her long pigtails bouncing with the motion, and wrapped her arms around Mamoru, pulling him in for a bearhug.

He stumbled back a bit and was about to regain his balance, but he forgot about the rug behind his chair. His feet hit it and slipped, pitching both back to the floor, Usagi screaming all the way.

Luna lowered her head and let out a sigh. “Where’s Leia when we need her?”

The New Republic
The New Republic flagship RSS Headquarters Frigate glided through the Corellia System on routine patrol, awaited the return of one of its own. Almost three thousand kilometers away, a flash of blue light signaled the arrival of a lone X-wing.

On the Frigate’s bridge, a sensor tech turned to General Wedge Antilles. “Sir, Lieutenant Solo has arrived.”

The general looked over from a conversation and nodded. “Signal her.”

A tone sounded, followed by a crackly female voice. “Second Lieutenant Solo reporting for duty, General.”

Wedge’s brown eyes blinked twice. He clasped his hands behind his back and stood ramrod straight. “Excellent, Lieutenant. Please report to my office upon landing.”

He turned to leave the bridge, but one Major Wes Janson blocked the way to the turbolift. “Are you gonna have her report in her sailor uniform?” he asked. Wedge tried to sidestep Wes, but the muscular Major blocked the way. “Well?”

Finally, Wedge shouted, “Attention on deck!” The entire bridge crew stood at attention. Wes’ shoulders squared, his back straightened, his feet clicked together and his hands and arms fell to his sides.

Wedge slid between Wes and a Mon Calamari sensor tech before walking calmly to the turbolift. The doors slid open, allowing the General entrance. Just before they slid shut again, he spoke once more. “At ease.”

Ten minutes later, Jaina stood in front of Wedge’s desk in his office. She still wore her flight suit and had her helmet under her left arm. “Lieutenant Jaina Solo reporting for duty, sir,” she said, saluting. Wedge returned the salute and motioned to the chair beside her. “Sit down, Jaina.” She complied and he settled back in his chair. “So, how was-“

Jaina suddenly spoke up. “We’ve got trouble, sir.”

Two seconds later, the intercom sounded. “General Antilles, pirates have hit the orbital habitats. We‘ve been called to assist.”

A dark scowl lit Wedge’s face. “Scramble all fighter squadrons! I want those scum brought in!” He looked back up at Jaina, but she was already gone. “Good girl.”

In the Frigate’s hangar bay, Jaina weaved her way through the bustle of pre-launch activities. She approached her X-wing but skidded to a halt, noting the fuel hose attached and the engine compartment open. Several techs were removing the laser cannons and mounting them on holding racks.

“Hey!” she yelled, her brown eyes flashing with tamped-down anger. “I’m supposed to be launching in a few moments. There‘s pirates in the system!.”

One of the Mon Calamari techs looked up with her large eyes. “Sorry, ma’am, but this is standard procedure. We’ll have her back together and refueled in thirty minutes tops.”

A slow gurgling sound emanated from Jaina’s throat. She looked over and saw a Jag climbing into his own X-wing. He suddenly saw her and hopped down. “Take mine,” he half-shouted.

Jaina stepped forward, but stopped and waved him off. “No, Jag. We’d both get in trouble. Thanks, though.”

Jag nodded and hopped back up. Jaina watched despondently as his X-wing sped out of the hangar bay, following other starfighters into the fray. There was nothing she could do, however. She walked over to the exposed engine and was about to look into it, but her head suddenly shot up. “No way…” she muttered.

Out in space, three old Corellian Corvettes chugged along, their dorsal laser turrets swiveling about and firing off blood-red turbolaser shots. The starfighters dove in at full speed, but the pirate ships already had too much of a lead.

In the lead X-wing, Colonel Gavin Darklighter slammed his gloved hand into the console in anger. He toggled a switch on the control console and contacted the Headquarters Frigate. “Wedge, it’s no good. They’ll hit the edge of Corellia’s gravity well in a few…” He trailed off as an old freighter suddenly exited hyperspace-right in front of the lead corvette.

A small hatch opened up on the dented hull and three proton torpedoes shot out, hitting the hammerhead-shaped command module and battering down its shields. The dorsal turrets swiveled to track the freighter, but it already dove below their range and let loose with a flurry of laser fire.

The bolts carved into the ventral plating of the engine pods, melting through the armor and destroying them. The lead corvette flew on, unable to engage hyperdrive or even change course.

The other two corvettes quickly changed course, but it took them seconds to do that-seconds they didn’t have. Gavin’s fighter wing quickly caught up with them and fired off massed volleys of proton torpedoes and concussion missiles. Their aft shields quickly failed and their blocky engines blown off, leaving the main cabins intact but powerless. A signal quickly went out from both. “Stop firing! We surrender!”

A smile lit Gavin’s face. “Wedge, did you hear that?”

On the Frigate’s bridge, General Antilles nodded. “I did.” He turned his head to one of the aft stations. “Get boarding parties ready. And contact the person piloting that freighter.”

The communications officer looked up and over her shoulder. “Sir, the pilot’s contacting us.”

Wedge’s brown eyes narrowed. “Put it through.” A tone sounded and he spoke. “Unidentified freighter, we are grateful for your assistance. Please identify yourself.”

A male voice came over the speakers. “Sorry, sir. This is Zekk, captain of the Lightning Rod. I was tracking those pirates for some time before I got sidetracked.”

Wedge’s brow scrunched as he tried to dredge up any info about this ‘Zekk’. Where have I heard that name before?

He suddenly remembered Luke talking about some of his students over hot chocolate and ale. “Well, it’s always nice to have a Jedi Knight on our side.”

A mild chuckle came over the speaker, tinged with static. “Actually, I’m doing this as a bounty hunter right now.” There was a pause and Wedge could hear Zekk clearing his throat.. “Say, can I turn them over to you and collect the bounty? It’ll be easier for me and I’ll be able to see Jaina.”

Wedge’s brown eyes rolled. He looked over to his first officer, a Twi’lek female. She bent over in her seat and began reading off a viewscreen built into the armrest. “The bounty on the pirate gang was posted by the High Command, so he can expect payment from us.”

The General shrugged. “Very well, Lightning Rod. Since you are too large to fit into our hangar bay, please come along our port side and extend a docking tube.”

On the Lighting Rod‘s bridge, Zekk let a smile cross his mature face. “Will do, sir. Lightning Rod out.” He terminated the connection and gripped the controls, pulling them back and to the right. The old freighter pointed its bow at the seventeen-kilometer long Viscount-class battle cruiser. Braking thrusters in the bow flared and the Rod slowed down, coming up alongside the massive cruiser.

The fore starboard and port aft maneuvering thrusters fired, swinging the Lightning Rod around so the airlocks lined up. Zekk made sure the freighter’s speed and course matched the cruiser before extending a docking tube across the ten meters of space separating the ships. The tube connected and sealed shut across the void.

Zekk got up pocketed a datapad with information on the pirates and exited the cockpit. He also double-checked his lightsaber before crossing to the Headquarters Frigate. The young man emerged and saw two humans there standing in NRDF uniforms.

A muscular major turned and looked over Zekk with his brown eyes. “I’m Major Wes Janson.” He motioned to a young woman in an orange flight suit. “This is Jaina Solo. For some reason, she wanted to see you.”

A sly grin crossed Wes’ mouth. “Are you that bounty hunter she’s always going on about?”

Zekk locked his green eyes with Wes’ brown. “You don’t need to know that,” he said with a wave of his gloved hand.

Wes blinked twice, then let his smile change into a none-too-friendly smirk. “Ah, no. Corran Horn taught most of us how to deal with that little mind trick.” His brown eyes then narrowed. “Just don’t try it again, all right?”

Zekk swallowed and nodded. Wes turned around and motioned to the two. “All right, follow me.”

Jaina fell into step beside Zekk. “I was wondering where you were.”

Zekk turned his green eyes to her and shrugged sheepishly. “Sorry. After I dropped Anja off at Hapes Prime, I had to almost start from scratch with these pirates.”

Jaina sidled up to him and grabbed his hand. “Well, I’m glad to see you again.”

A smile drifted across his darkly handsome features. “I’m glad to see you as well.”

Five minutes later, Zekk and Jaina stood in front of Wedge’s desk. The general read from Zekk’s datapad. “So, Jedi Zekk. Nice job taking out those pirates.” He looked up. “Lieutenant, can you vouch for this young man?”

Jaina glanced from Zekk to Wedge. She squared her shoulders and nodded. “I can, sir.” She looked back to Zekk. “This young man is one of the finest new Jedi Knights of the Order, and is one of the few bounty hunters with morals and ethics.”

Zekk’s pale face flushed at his beloved’s words. A low cough brought them both out of their reverie and they looked down to Wedge. “Zekk, I’ve transferred 100,000 credits into your account.”

The Jedi’s emerald eyes went wide at that. “100,000? The last time I checked, it was only 75,000!” A wide grin broke out on his face. “The Ennth relief fund’s gonna love me.”

Wedge chuckled. “Well, that’s good.” A solemn expression crossed his face. “Lieutenant Solo, I place you on a forty-eight hour leave.” He stood up while Jaina went to attention.

“Thank you, sir,” she said, saluting.

The General returned it, then pointed his thumb at the door. “Get out of here, you kids.” Jaina did a textbook about-face and walked out, followed by Zekk.

Wedge made sure their footsteps faded, then turned on the holo-viewer and turned it to his new favorite program. Two minutes later, Wes poked his head into Wedge’s office. “You got plans for the crew leave?”

Wedge rubbed his nose, knowing Wes could see what he was watching. “I’m going on a picnic with Iella, Syal and Myri.”

Wes nodded. “That’s just what I’d expect from you.” He went to leave, but stopped halfway out the door. “Does Iella know you watch Sailor Jedi?” Before Wedge could say anything, Wes ducked out, leaving behind a general with a new migraine.
*****
Jaina and Zekk wandered along the corridors of the Headquarters Frigate, neither one with a particular destination in mind. “Do you know what you’ll be doing this month?” Jaina asked.

Zekk thought for a moment before shaking his head, tossing his ponytail about a bit. “Nope. I go where I’m needed, just like any Jedi Knight.” He looked around; the corridor they were in was deserted. He leaned in for a kiss, but he suddenly felt someone approaching. Zekk backed up just as a young man rounded the corner in front of the pair.

Jaina’s brown eyes fell on him and she suppressed a sigh. “Hello, Jag.”

Jag walked up and half-smiled. “It‘s good to see you again, Jaina.” He turned to Zekk and sized him up before offering his hand. “Nice flying out there. You‘ve gotta be Zekk.”

Zekk nodded and accepted the hand, pumping it twice. He suddenly blinked and wobbled a bit. “Whoa…” he muttered.

Jaina grabbed his arm, sending soothing thoughts through their link. “What is it?”

Zekk shook his head and cleared his mind. “It‘s nothing, just a bit of dizziness.” He smiled at Jag. “Thanks for watching Jaina‘s back.”

The grim-faced Colonel bowed his head. “She‘s done the same for me as well. He looked at the two and stepped back. “If you‘ll excuse me, I‘ve got files to… file.” He turned on his heel, walking off and entering the nearest turbolift alcove.

Jaina slid her arm around Zekk‘s and pulled him close. “Now, what were you trying to do before we were interrupted?” she purred, drinking in his jade eyes.

Zekk breathed her scent in before tilting her head back and capturing her lips with his.

The Hapes Consortium
The Steel Dragon soared through the blue sky of Hapes Prime, a full wing of Miy’til-class fighters providing escort as the Fountain Palace loomed.

In the Dragon’s cockpit, Jacen Solo and his wife Tenel Ka sat and piloted the cruiser. They moved as one, each anticipating the other’s actions as the sleek cruiser flew on.

Jacen activated the comm unit and leaned over the main console. “This is the Steel Dragon requesting permission to land.”

A male voice came over. “Welcome home, your highness. Queen Mother Djo is expecting you.” The connection was then broken, leaving a confused Jacen alone with Tenel Ka.

He looked over at her. “’Your highness’?” he asked, confusion playing over his still-boyish face. “Did I miss something?”

Tenel Ka glanced at him for a moment and shrugged. “That… is a fact, Jacen. You are now a member of the royal family.”

Her husband chuckled for a moment and ran his fingers through his wild hair. “Well, technically I was already royalty with Mom being princess of Alderaan.” He looked up and saw the Fountain Palace. He gripped the control stick and cut the Dragon’s speed even as it descended to one of the upper landing platforms.

Tenel Ka checked their rate of descent and extended the cruiser’s landing gear. Two seconds later, the Steel Dragon settled onto the permacrete with only a small bump.

Jacen grinned. “Heh. That was almost as good as Jaina.”

Tenel Ka merely shrugged as the engines powered down. The two unbuckled their crash webbing and exited the cockpit. Upon reaching the main hatch, Tenel Ka turned to her husband. “Jacen, although you are technically royalty, I do not believe you will be fully ready for what awaits you out there. Royalty on Hapes is unto being worshipped.”

Jacen’s right eyebrow arched and his mouth twitched. “I’ll be fine, Tenel Ka.” He pressed a button on the control panel and the main hatch slid open. He stepped out onto the ramp-and stopped dead in his tracks. “Ho…”

Thirty armed guards in full ceremonial armor stood at the bottom of the ramp with blaster rifles at attention, a band played the Hapan anthem off on the side and close to fifty reporters stood in a roped off area. Teneniel Djo and Isolder stood on a dais at the point farthest away from the Steel Dragon. Jacen immediately felt quite self-conscious in his simple black shirt, pants and Jedi cloak, but Tenel Ka’s reassuring presence behind him and in his mind settled his stomach.

The two walked down the ramp to the honor guard as it formed ranks around the newlyweds. They walked up to the dais while the reporters clamored and the band continued playing.

Teneniel raised a single hand and a hush fell over the crowd. She stepped up to a podium and spoke. “Citizens of the Hapes Consortium, I present you with the newest addition to the royal family.” She held out her right hand palm up and motioned to Jacen to step forward. “Jacen Solo, son of Leia and Han Solo!”

He felt incredibly self-conscious, but Tenel Ka quickly grabbed his right hand and squeezed it reassuringly. He looked over his shoulder at her, winked and held up his left hand. A single blue rose appeared.

Tenel Ka’s gray eyes went wide. “Jacen! What are you doing?”

He shrugged rather nonchalantly, hiding his nervousness. “Hey, they look upon you as a goddess incarnate because of your Senshi powers. So why not me?”

Tenel Ka sighed. “It is also because-“ She stopped talking when Jacen’s pants and shirt melted, reforming into a tuxedo. A white mask formed over his eyes and a wine-red cape ‘grew’ from his shoulders.

He stepped to the dais and spoke. “I am Jacen Solo, husband of Tenel Ka.” He held the rose up and posed with it. “You may also call me Tuxedo Hapes.” His brown eyes then noted the reporters, honor guard and band on one knee in supplication.

Tuxedo Hapes swallowed in nervousness. “I shall rule you fairly,” he said, backing off and reverting back to Jacen Solo. He turned his head to the right and locked eyes with Tenel Ka. “How’d I do?” he whispered.

“You did better than I thought, and that is a fact,” she stated, her eyes twinkling and a grin splitting her face.

Jacen returned the grin. “Hey, I’m a Solo. We’re known for defying the odds.”
*****
Anja smiled as a monitor on her new ship the Third Chance showed a holo of Jacen and Tenel Ka arriving at Hapes. The new cruiser was parked in a hangar on Gallinore as workers loaded her bays with rare Hapan merchandise.

She brushed a lock of dark blond hair out of her eye and looked slightly over her shoulder. “Well, that was nice to see.”

Sannah sat in the co-pilot’s chair, checking several instruments. “Well, Jacen always had a flair for the dramatic.”

Anja groaned and turned back to the monitor as the proceedings broke up. “You can be such a cold fish, Sannah.”

The young Melodie rolled her yellow eyes and looked over, growling. “I can’t be a cold fish, Anja, because of some damned genetic mutation. You want a cold fish? Go to Yavin VIII.”

The cargo pilot swiveled her chair around and held her hands up in a conciliatory gesture. “Sorry, sorry.” She leaned forward and cracked her knuckles through her piloting gloves. “We’d better check on the cargo and see how they’re doing.”

Sannah nodded and the two young women exited the cockpit, quickly covering the distance down the hallway to the main cargo hold. Anja’s practiced eyes traveled over the cargo containers. She pushed against one, noting that the restraint straps held.

The Senshi turned to the quartermaster, who handed her a cargo manifest. “Sign here, please.”

Anja accepted the pad and stylus and signed her name. The quartermaster took it back, nodded and exited out the main hatch. Sannah peeked over Anja’s shoulder and read the manifest. “Next week? We gotta be on Ord Mantell next kriffin’ week?”

Anja turned and walked back to the cockpit. “Hey, I know a shortcut or two. We’ll make it.”

Sannah followed her back. “Aren’t shortcuts dangerous? They can strand you in hyperspace or tear-“

The older woman stopped short and whirled around, her brown eyes boring into the younger Melodie. “Sannah, you wanted to join up with me to ‘see the galaxy’ as you put it. And that means taking risks.”

Sannah rolled her yellowish eyes. “Well, duh! I just don’t want to scatter my atoms across thirty light years.”

At that, Anja scoffed and waved her off. “Hey, we’re Sailor Senshi! We’re immortal!”

The Melodie sighed at that. “We’re functionally immortal, dummy. Getting caught in a large enough explosion will kill us.”

Anja’s mouth dropped open a bit. “Oh, yeah. I forgot that.”

Sannah grabbed the manifest out of Anja’s hand with one swift motion and walked past her to the cockpit. “Come on, ‘captain’. Time’s a wasting.”

Anja growled, but turned around and followed Sannah. “Wait up, half-pint! You’re likely to steer us into the path of a star destroyer!”

A very nice chapter. DAmn, can Zekk shoot. He took on 3 ships by himself with a scratch! BTW, I wonder what technique Wes used to avoid the Jedi brainwash.. err, mindtrick. Did he used the old one about thinking nothing but the word "tugboat" ?

Ooo, exciting! Being attacked by pirates and all... grin

Zekk locked his green eyes with Wes’ brown. “You don’t need to know that,” he said with a wave of his gloved hand.

Excellent update. Loved the fencing match between Minako and Rei...do I see a hint of rivalry there? And Usagi cooking Fried Chicken...must have got the recipe from an american or...gone to a Japanese KFC :P

Now Zekk tagging three Pirate ships at once was cool, Jag ain't an idiotic moron, and Wes resisting mind tricks!

Finally, the arrival on Hapes was cool, and ANja has a...third chance now...

Can't wait for the next one.

First of all, I'd like to congradulate DarthIshtar in passing the first round of auditions towards getting into one of the best choir's in the world. Quite the accomplishment!

I'm sorry for being away for awhile. I've had LONG busy hours at work for months, literally with 50+ hour weeks. Things are a LITTLE less hectic now. I've just now gotten caught up with your story here. It's VERY great too. I'm just so happy to see Jacen being more like he was in the YJK books instead of the Legacy of the Force novels(I only scan through the new ones...I never buy them anymore...after what happened in StarByStar... my love for the EU kinda died in me). I throughly enjoy the romances between Jaina/Kyp and Tenel Ka/Jacen. I really feel for Hotaru...being in a different dimension from the guy she loves.

Keep up the great work!

Stooky-Thank you. Yeah, Zekk's a crack pilot. The Eu kinda forgot this fact... but anyway. Yeah, Wes just learned how to keep his mind his own.

Idrelle-LOl, thank. Excitement's what I'm all about. wink Yeah, Wes learned that from Corran. And glad you liked Jacen on Hapes.

SSM12-Not rivalry... well, yeah, but it won't turn into Sasuke/Naruto levels of rivalry. And lol, yeah. She got it from KFC. wink Glad you liked my Jag, and that's the name of her ship. I drew a blank. tongue

Lady_Jade-Hehe, yeah. Jacen's goofy, but means well. And yeah, a bit more responsibility now.

Taeniaea-Thank you. happy

BAF-Welcome back! grin grin 50-hour work weeks? Da-ang! Thanks for coming back. And yes, congrats to Ish. Thank you. Jaina/Kyp... do you mean Jaina/Zekk, or Makoto/Kyp?

Again, congrats to Ish. Let's cheer her on as she prepares for part two of her audition! applause applause

Here we go!

Coruscant, Column Commons
Leia sat in her and Han’s apartment and sipped her favorite tea while the holo-viewer in front of her projected a three-D image from the latest episode of the hit holo-drama, Sailor Jedi. An actress dressed up in a Sailor Fuku and bearing a passing resemblance to Jaina posed and raised her arms.

Han shifted next to her and wrapped his arm around his lovely wife’s shoulder. “Why are we watching this?” he asked.

Leia glanced over at her husband and shrugged, bouncing his arm up. “It’s interesting how we’re portrayed in the media. Wouldn’t you agree, Anakin?”

Anakin glanced over from the chair he sat in with his ice-blue eyes, his arms crossed in front of his chest. “It’s fascinating, but is inaccurate in several ways. Senshi transformations don’t take thirty seconds.”

A bark of laughter came from Han at his son’s pronouncement. “Anakin, I think that’s what they call ‘artistic license’.”

His youngest son merely shrugged and sat back, his mind soon drifting to Hotaru and what she was doing at that moment.

A sudden tapping on his shoulder brought him out of his reverie. [Are you all right?]

Anakin almost jumped out of his skin and totally out of his chair. He turned around and saw Lowie and Chewie standing there, both with looks of concern on their hairy faces. “I’m all right! I was just thinking.”

Lowie chuckled. [I’m also wondering how the Firefly is doing, Anakin.]

Em Teedee‘s optics shone brightly. Yes, she was a most agreeable young woman. So proper!”

At that, Anakin’s cheeks pinked a bit. He looked over to Leia and Han, who were looking up at him. “Is there a problem, sweetheart?” Leia asked. “You’re a bit redder than usual.”

For once in his life, Anakin had no answer. “Umm, I gotta go,” he muttered, hurrying past the Wookiees.

Han sighed and rubbed the bridge of his nose. “Well, looks like Anakin’s finally discovered girls.”

Leia swatted him, but she had a look of understanding. “You’re right, there.”

A second passed before, “All right, I’ll go talk to him.” Han rose from the sofa and walked past Lowie and Chewie. “Thanks, guys,” he muttered, smirking.

Chewie reached out and rubbed Han’s already-messy brown hair as he walked by. He bounded up the steps two at a time and reached the second floor rather quickly.

Han walked up to Anakin’s’ room and knocked on the door. “You all right?” he asked.

Anakin’s voice came from beyond the wooden door, his voice steady but somewhat flat. “I’m fine, Dad. Lowie simply embarrassed me a bit.”

Han leaned against the doorjamb. “Are you sure? Is there anything you want to talk about?”

On the other side, Anakin sat on his bed holding a holo of him and Hotaru. Instinct told him that his father wouldn’t leave him alone until he was sure that he was all right, and there were some things he did want to talk about. “Come on in, Dad.”

The door slid open and Han slowly walked up to Anakin. He sat down on the bed and looked over Anakin’s shoulder at the picture of Hotaru. “She’s quite cute.”

Anakin held out his hand and levitated the holo back to his dresser. “Yeah.”

He looked over at his father and in that instant reminded Han so much of Luke when he first met him on Tatooine so long ago. Now that I think about it, Anakin’s about that age. “Son, I know we had discussions about women before, but was there anything-“

Anakin’s teeth ground together and he frantically waved his hands, cutting him off. “It’s not that, Dad! Yeesh!” He raised his right hand and levitated another holo into his hand.

Hotaru stood with a teen that looked like a cross between Hotaru and Anakin in the image. “It’s Tomo.” He looked at Han and gathered his thoughts before continuing. “Dad, finding out that I marry Hotaru in the future and we have a daughter should have cleared things up for me, but I’ve been feeling confused about things.”

He paused in order to collect his still-scattered thoughts once more. “I wonder if Tahiri and I would’ve gotten together if we didn’t end up on Tokyo over two years ago.”

Han let a chuckle escape at that. “You can’t think that way, Anakin. You can only look to the future. ‘Might’ve been’ will drag you down into indecision.”

The two men stood up off of the bed almost simultaneously. Han was immediately taken aback by how tall Anakin was; the top of his head was almost at Han’s eye-level!

Anakin paced a bit. “I don’t know, Dad. Sometimes looking at all your options can be a good thing.”

His father shrugged. “Well, I don’t think Tahiri is much of an option for you anymore. That kiss you and Hotaru shared…”

Anakin rolled his eyes. “Well, I knew that.” He let out a breath. “I just hope I can make Hotaru happy.” He thought about that for a moment. “Yes. That’s what I was worried about.” He slapped Han on the shoulder. “Thanks, Dad,” he said before running out of his room.

Han leaned over and looked out the door at his retreating son. “You’re welcome.,” he whispered, a hint of bewilderment showing on his ruggedly handsome face.

Tatooine
Lusa ignited her lightsaber, sending forth a brilliant white plasma blade. She stepped in between the Rodian and Verpine and spoke. “You will not resort to violence. Understood?”

The Rodian nodded, his antennae twitching. He placed his blaster on the bar and backed up, his suction-tipped hands in the air.

The insectoid Verpine spoke. “I apologize, Jedi. However, the fault is not mine.”

The Rodian spat and chattered for a bit in his native language. [He lies! That Hutt spawn totally overreacted when I told him about the cargo.]

Lusa focused her brown eyes on the Rodian. “And what was the news?” she asked.

The Verpine held a green, spindly arm up to its forehead and waved at the Rodian. “This…pilot said that he was boarded by an Imperial patrol.”

Lusa shrugged. “So?”

The insectoid chuckled-an actually disturbing sound. “He claimed he was boarded near Kothlis!”

Lusa’s eyes narrowed. “Kothlis is a Bothan colony world on the opposite side of the galaxy, far away from the nearest Imperial system.” She turned back to the Rodian, her horns glittering even in the dingy lighting. “Care to explain?“

The Rodian stammered a bit. [It-it’s true! The star destroyer-]

The Verpine cut him off. “You said it was a Lancer-class frigate last time.”

Lusa did a scan of the Verpine through the Force and determined he was telling the truth. She turned to the Rodian and said, “Where is the cargo?”

The Rodian’s lipless mouth sneered and Lusa’s danger sense suddenly flashed. She brought her lightsaber up just as the Rodian flexed his left arm and a small holdout blaster popped out from a holster strapped to his spindly arm.

He pressed the trigger, firing two blaster bolts. Lusa brought her lightsaber up and sank into the Force, letting it guide her actions. The first bolt spanged off her silvery blade and right back at the Rodian, hitting him in the hand and turning the holdout blaster into molten scrap. The next blast ricocheted into the ceiling, sending down a chunk of plaster that hit the Rodian square on his head. He whimpered before plummeting to the ground.

The Verpine bowed. “I thank you, lady Jedi.”

Lusa turned to it. “I’d still like to know what the cargo was.”

The Verpine bobbed its triangular head and held up its hands as it spoke. “It was nothing illegal, I can assure you.”

The Jedi sighed. She emerged from the cantina and shielded her eyes as the blisteringly hot Tatooine day hit her full-force. Up ahead, she sensed a young man sitting in a landspeeder. The centaur trotted over to Raynar Thul and smiled. “Thanks for waiting for me.”

Raynar’s blue eyes flashed beneath a pair of glare shades. “Oh, it was nothing.” He reached over and opened the door, allowing Lusa to hop up slightly. Raynar had removed the seat earlier, giving Lusa enough room to kneel down and be comfortable.

She sat on her hind legs, providing her with an excellent vantagepoint. “I wonder where Tahiri is.” She quickly reached out with the Force and quickly located her friend. “What’s she doing with Tusken Raiders?” she murmured. The Senshi of crystal shook her head. “Well, we won’t know until we see her. Drive on, rich boy.”

Raynar rolled his eyes, but steered the speeder down an alley. The vehicle emerged on the outskirts of the city of Mos Eisley and Lusa squinted her eyes, using the Force to enhance her vision and block out some of the glare. Even so, she was barely able make out the group of Tusken Raiders.

Thirty of the robed humanoids stood in a semi-circle around Tahiri Veila-or rather, Sailor Tatooine. She held her gaffi stick high and shouted in the guttural language of the Sand People. The tallest Raider smashed the sand with his gaffi stick, sending up a small plume of dust.

Tatooine nodded to him, held out her own gaffi stick and lightly tapped the sand, sending up a mini-tornado. The Tusken Raiders reared back and suddenly shouted one single guttural phrase before turning to their Bantha mounts and making a mad dash for the wastelands of Tatooine.

Raynar pulled the speeder up to her, an incredulous impression on his face. “And what the kriff was that?” he asked.

Tatooine turned to him, her green eyes flashing. “I just fulfilled an old prophecy.” She cleared her throat and spoke in a deep voice, gesturing with her hands. “’When the sands are stirred, peace must come for the children of the desert.’”

Lusa’s mouth dropped in shock. “Can we use our Senshi powers in such a way?”

Raynar glanced over. “I don’t see the harm in it.” He motioned to the Senshi of sand. “Tahiri here might have just saved countless lives.”

A bright yellow light enveloped Sailor Tatooine and, when it faded, Tahiri Veila stood there once more. She hopped onto the back of the speeder and knelt down next to Lusa. “Well, let’s get back to Yavin IV.”

Raynar suddenly hit the brakes, almost sending Tahiri tumbling forward. “Ah, no. We’re going to Mechis III to see Mom, remember?” he said, turning to glare at her.

Tahiri let out a nervous chuckle and scratched the back of her head. “Of course I remember!” She wrapped her left arm around Raynar’s neck and her right around Lusa’s and pulled them in for a hug. “We’ll have a lot of fun!”

Lusa smiled and thought back on the past few weeks. She, Tahiri and Raynar had gone around the galaxy, putting out small fires before they flared up. Now it was time for a little rest with their families before heading back to Yavin IV. She looked forward to seeing Mom, Dad and her brothers and sisters.

Raynar piloted the speeder down the streets of Tatooine with a practiced hand. and Lusa noted how mature he had become. The young man no longer wore gaudy cloaks, but instead wore a simple homespun brown robe.

He glanced over at her with his bright blue eyes. “Are you all right, Lusa?”

The centaur let a faint smile play across her face. “I’m fine, Raynar.” She chuckled. “I really can’t wait to meet your mother.”

The speeder pulled up to one of the many hangar bays scattered across Mos Eisley, little more than a cylindrical pit with built-up walls. The trio left the speeder and walked down a set of stairs to Raynar’s personal starship.

He unclipped a remote from his belt and pressed a button on it, deactivating the security system, lowering the boarding ramp and unsealing the main hatch. Suddenly, Raynar stopped just short of the ship and turned to Lusa. “Wait a second. Why can’t you wait to meet Mom?”

Lusa shrugged. “Well, I never did get a chance to meet your father. And I‘d like to meet her and say thank you.”

Raynar started at that, but before he could respond, Tahiri grabbed his arm and hauled him up the ramp. “Time’s a wasting!” she shouted.

The young man opened his mouth, but his words were swallowed up when he entered the ship. Instead, he sent his best friend a message through the Force. Mom will like you.

Lusa smiled and clomped up the ramp. Thank you.

Chapter Three: March of Time
March, 2005
Hotaru stood in front of her mirror and checked her cap and gown for the seventh time in a row. Today, she would graduate from Jubaan High School and would soon move to the New Republic. She breathed deeply and let it out, running through a Jedi relaxation exercise. Then and only then would she leave her room.

The eighteen-year old walked down the stairs to the first floor and saw Haruka and Michiru standing there along with a middle-aged man in a suit and tie. “Daddy!” she shouted. “You came!”

Professor Tomoe Souichi held a camcorder up and began taping his daughter. “And now the lovely Hotaru descends to await her destiny.”

Hotaru’s pale cheeks blushed at her father’s comments. “Oh, Dad,” she mumbled, waving him off. She suddenly looked around, simultaneously reaching out with the Force. “Where is Setsuna?”

As if on cue, a large black door materialized in front of the house’s main door. The ornate, almost Victorian-style door swung open, allowing Sailor Pluto and Anakin Solo to emerge.

Hotaru‘s eyes threatened to vacate her skull. “You didn’t tell me he was coming!” she shouted, running over and leaping at him, encircling him with her arms in a hug. “I missed you!”

Anakin wrapped his arms around her waist and gave her a kiss on the cheek. “I missed you as well, and Setsuna here was kind enough to let me come over.”

Sailor Pluto walked over to Haruka, Michiru and Souichi. A bright green light enveloped her as she reverted back to Meiou Setsuna. She leaned in close to the two Senshi and whispered, “We must talk later.”

Haruka’s sky-blue eyes narrowed as everyone left the house, but she remained silent.

Anakin and Hotaru left the house and walked up to Haruka’s car. Michiru followed close behind and brandished a pair of car keys. “Hop in, you two.”

Haruka, meanwhile, strapped on a helmet and got onto her motorcycle. “I’ll meet you at Jubaan High,” she said before zooming off.

Souichi walked to the two-door sports car as the door opened for him and sat in the passenger seat while Hotaru, Anakin and Setsuna climbed into the back.

Hotaru tried to sit next to Anakin, but Setsuna deftly slipped her body into the center seat before the black-haired graduate could make her move. She crossed her arms in front of her chest and scowled, but said nothing.

Setsuna glanced at her with her scarlet eyes. “Patience, young Jedi. You‘ll have all the time in the universe with him soon enough.”

Ten minutes later, Michiru pulled up to the front of Jubaan High School. Hotaru jumped out and turned back to Michiru. “I’ll be in the cafeteria getting ready. Parking is on the sides.” She blew Anakin a kiss before turning and dashing off.

The young man’s cheeks reddened slightly, but Michiru slammed her foot on the gas, peeling a layer of rubber off the tires. Souichi grabbed the armrest and let out a cry of surprise as the car sped around the corner to the school parking lot.

The aquamarine-haired Senshi swung the car around the corners, just barely missing the parked cars. “I see you’ve taken driving lessons from Haruka!” Anakin shouted.

Michiru chuckled and hit the brakes, simultaneously turning the steering wheel and swinging the car around so it skidded right into a parking spot right in front.

Two seconds later, Haruka parked her motorcycle next to the car and looked over the stunned passengers. “She’s always trying to outdo me,” she muttered from underneath her helmet. She pulled off her helmet and shook her head, sending her short blond hair swishing about.

Souichi opened the passenger-side door and stumbled out, followed by Anakin and Setsuna.

Haruka, meanwhile, looked down at Michiru. “You don’t have to be so reckless,” the blond Senshi of the wind said.

Michiru simply glanced up with her sea-blue eyes and let a small smile cross her lips. “I learned from the best.”

A short sigh escaped Haruka’s lips as she opened the car door for Michiru. “Let’s go.”

The quintet made their way across the lawn to the Jubaan High School gym. Setsuna quickly scanned the building and tilted her head slightly. “Usagi and the others are inside. We’d better hurry so we can get good seats.”

Souichi nodded and raised his camcorder to his right eye. Anakin looked at the recorder and licked his lips. “What is that?” he asked.

The professor looked at him and shrugged. “It’s a camcorder-a recording device.”

Anakin nodded. “It looks fascinating, Mr. Tomoe. May I hold it?” He extended his hands as Souichi passed the camcorder over and he examined it. “Fascinating.”

Farther back, Setsuna walked with Haruka and Michiru. “Things over the next ten years will move quickly,” she whispered, using the Force to deaden her words even more.

Both women turned their heads sharply to the Senshi of time. “How bad will it be?” Michiru asked, holding her hand to her chin in thought.

Setsuna shook her head. “It will not be a bad ten years. It will merely go by quickly.”

All three of their moods darkened, causing Anakin to turn his head around sharply. “Are you all right?” he asked, his eyes penetrating deep into their souls.

Setsuna nodded. “Thank you, Anakin. I am fine.”

Anakin’s blue eyes sparkled at the lie, but he said nothing more.

Haruka thought for a moment. “What will happen after ten years?” she asked, leaning over to Setsuna as they crossed a street.

Setsuna’s already serious expression darkened even further. “Then hell shall be unleashed.” She glanced at both friends and her head dropped. “I can speak no more.”

Haruka and Michiru accompanied Setsuna to the main entrance in silence. They slid through the crowd at the steps and entered just behind Anakin and Souichi. They quickly found Usagi, Mamoru, Rei, Ami, Minako, Makoto and Kyp sitting at the front bleachers and found seats right next to them.

Anakin walked up to the Jedi Master and bowed. “It is good to see you again,” he said.

Kyp’s jade eyes shone and a smile lit his face up. “Don’t be so formal, Anakin!” The older man grabbed him by the arm, pulled the youngest Solo down and locked his skull in a headlock. He then proceeded to give him a noogie.

Makoto gently placed a hand on Kyp’s arm and he let go. “Sorry.“ Anakin slid down onto the seat next to him, his head aching but undamaged.

Souichi sat next to Usagi and Mamoru. The older man hesitated for a moment, but before he could speak, Usagi turned to him. “It was never any problem at all!”

Mamoru slapped his forehead in frustration, but Souichi merely laughed. “You’re a good person, Miss Chiba.”

At that, Usagi closed her eyes, tilted her head to the side and smiled radiantly.

Mamoru simply leaned forward and nodded at Souichi. “Yes, she is.”

Setsuna sat down and smoothed out her dress. She immediately felt a pair of eyes upon her and she looked back out of the corner of her eye. “I can’t discuss it, Rei.”

Hino Rei stepped over the bench and sat down next to the Senshi of time. Her onyx eyes flashed with tamped-down anger as she growled. “Don’t you tell me what we can and can’t discuss! This is important.”

Setsuna let a low growl escape her lips. “I know that better than you will ever know, Hino Rei. That is precisely why we can’t discuss it.” She whipped her head around and locked her crimson eyes with Rei's black eyes. “Please do not pursue this conversation further. Besides which, the graduation’s starting.”

The Senshi of time sat back and gazed out at the two lines of students walking in. She quickly picked out Hotaru and grimaced. Enjoy the next ten years, Hotaru. The time after shall be hell in both realities.

Excellent chapter. Lusa, Raynar, and Tahiri resemble a Naruto Genin Team, thank god Michiru didn't try to parallel park...there might not have been three cars left...and 10 years until hell's unleashed? Oh...crap...

Loved Anakin's conversation with Han. That was quite amusing. grin

Excellent update -- but only 10 years until the end of the world, so to speak?

Great post! Nice father/son moment between Anakin and Han. At least Tahiri is being active(it's good to be active when you're suffering from heartache). Sailor Jedi sounds like an interesting show...when will we see it? happy Anyways, keep up the great work!

P.S. Sorry...I meant Jaina/Zekk, not Jaina/Kyp.

This is a bit belated, but congrats to DarthIshtar! That it like, cream of the crop! Kudos to her, the competition is insane! applause

Post 9/23: Usagi set a plate of rice and fried chicken in front of Mamoru. He bowed his head in thanks and began eating.

*imitates Mamo-chan* "Thank you, kami-sama... it smells edible!" devil tongue

The young woman leapt to her feet, her long pigtails bouncing with the motion, and wrapped her arms around Mamoru, pulling him in for a bearhug... He stumbled back a bit and was about to regain his balance, but he forgot about the rug behind his chair. His feet hit it and slipped, pitching both back to the floor, Usagi screaming all the way.

THEY... ARE... SO... CUTE!!!! hugs And funny! Funny too!

~“So, how was-“
~Jaina suddenly spoke up. “We’ve got trouble, sir.”
~Two seconds later, the intercom sounded.

Ha! Awesome!

I like how Wes wasn't affected by the Jedi mind thing. Seems to me that it's a somewhat glossed over point that Obi-Wan said that it had the greatest effect on the WEAK minded, a.k.a. stormtrooper-zombies, small-fry con men and druggies. Wes may be a clown, but weak-minded he is not. Kudos to you, Striker, for keepin' it real!

Oh, also, you are portraying Jag VERY fairly! (Especially for you! wink ) Not that I particularly like the guy, but still, good job! hugs

Wes nodded. “That’s just what I’d expect from you.” He went to leave, but stopped halfway out the door. “Does Iella know you watch Sailor Jedi?” Before Wedge could say anything, Wes ducked out, leaving behind a general with a new migraine.

*evil, evil laughter*

Zekk nodded and accepted the hand, pumping it twice. He suddenly blinked and wobbled a bit. “Whoa…” he muttered.

*blink* Nani? confused

He looked at the two and stepped back. “If you‘ll excuse me, I‘ve got files to… file.”

Maybe it's my clerk job, but I absolutely adore that line! It's so... duh.

Post 9/30: I like the Solo family discussion of "Sailor Jedi"! I think if I were president I'd still try to watch Saturday Night Live and the Daily Show. It'd be fascinating, and probably keep my head from getting too big. You know, a nice dose of humility. Leia's such a cool politician! She doesn't sweat the small stuff!

Han sighed and rubbed the bridge of his nose. “Well, looks like Anakin’s finally discovered girls.”

While I admit to laughing heartily at this line, I always feel a strange amused bafflement at the odd-though-common use of the word "discover" in this context. I understand the reasoning behind the usage, but still, you know... they were always there... *shrugs*

*wildly applauds Lusa* Wow! Elegance and efficiency! That was wicked-cool!

Hotaru tried to sit next to Anakin, but Setsuna deftly slipped her body into the center seat before the black-haired graduate could make her move. She crossed her arms in front of her chest and scowled, but said nothing.

Bwa ha! *singsong* Setsuna's playing chaperone!

Oh man, I don't know what I loved the most: the Souichi/Usagi/Mamoru exchange, (“It was never any problem at all!”) Kyp's noogie or Setsuna's preemptive comment to Rei! Ahhh! They're ALL so wonderful!

Up! Before ten years go by! worried
