So far the Force is with Mara . Everything seems to be falling into place rather quickly and without much trouble. As I say that, knowing this group you know something crazy is going to crop up if not a whole lot of crazy things. That is the nature of weddings. Could not imagine the complications of a Skywalker/Jade wedding. Great job and thanks.

Just a BUMP cause I know a few haven't seen that this was updated. I'll do author replies soon. Just waiting for a few more replies. I haven't started on Chapter 19. Parent Trap is wrapping up this week so after that's done, I'll be able to get back to work on this one.

Edit: Well, I just got reaquainted with the first four chapters. What Fun! I wish the pro fic would be fun to read again! 
There is an ancient tradition among Jedi. When the child of a Jedi Knight gives his heirloom lightsaber to a fellow apprentice, it is his declaration of everlasting love
I just LOVED those two sentences. LOL! And of course, Mara shows up at just that moment! It was terrific! I loved her reaction to reading the words!
Then it was fun to see Han and the twins. "Jacen's foul stench". SO cute. Such potential. :::Sigh::: What has been done with Jacen in LotF is disgusting.
I loved the way Mara was able to calm Jaina with her little game.
Then it was funny when Mara thrust her lightsaber into poor, confused Han's hands. 
I loved the dinner party. Poor Luke! Not a comfortable position for him to be between two beautiful women!
I love this story! I'll read the next few chapters soon!

I should have posted the next chapter at least a month ago, but I've hit a wall. I am trying to figure out what to include in the next chapter and its very difficult (I don't want to include too much, but I need to have certain stuff). I think the actual wedding chapter will be even more difficult. Anyway, I just wanted to make an appearance and bring this fic up from page 11.

I am sorry this took 6 months to finally post. I just had a hard time deciding on how to write this. Finally I sat down and just typed it up last night.

Chapter 19 - Finalizing the Plans
Inside the Solo household's apartment, Han and Leia were attempting to get the twins ready for bed before Luke and Mara arrived to finalize the wedding plans.
Jacen was already in his pajamas and making a big yawn, his eyelids closing over his brown eyes. Jaina was resisting being dressed for bed, looking longingly towards the apartment's front door, waiting for her Aunt Mawra to make an appearance.
With a pleading look, she looked up at her mother and said, "Aunt Mawra?" Leia glanced over at Han sitting in the rocking chair, just finishing up with Jacen's bedtime story. The other twin was nearly fully fast asleep in his arms, exhausted after a long day of play with his daddy.
"Jaina, you can stay up until Uncle Luke and Aunt Mawra get here, then its right to bed as soon as you see her, okay?"
Jaina, barely understanding what her mother had said, since she was only about two, nodded solemnly. She didn't put up any more resistance, letting her mother finish dressing her in her "Daddy's Princess" pajamas. Leia lifted her into her arms, then touched the dimmer for the lights and went out to the living room.
Just as she was putting Jaina down on the floor, the door buzzer sounded. She felt the presence of her twin brother radiating in the Force. His fiancé's presence was not as intense, but still there. She opened the door and greeted each of them warmly.
As Mara walked into the room right after Luke, she felt something tug at her jumpsuit's pant leg. She looked down and smiled at Jaina. "Aren't you supposed to be in bed, little Princess?"
In response, Jaina yawned. Leia lifted her up, but Jaina held her arms out for Mara to take her. Mara complied, and Jaina gave her a slobbery toddler kiss on the cheek. Then she yawned again, her eyelids beginning to droop shut. Leia took Jaina from Mara without a protest, and went down the hallway to put Jaina to bed.
Han exited the nursery just as Leia was entering it. He put a finger to his lips and nodded at the sleepy toddler in her arms. He walked down the hall and entered the living room just as Luke and Mara were seating themselves on the couch.
"As soon as Leia comes back, we'll finish the plans for your wedding."
As if on cue, Leia returned a moment later.
"What's left for our list?" She looked at Luke and Mara.
"We need to set a date so Karrde knows when to be on planet, we need a place for the ceremony, we already know that Admiral Ackbar is performing the ceremony, and we need a place for the reception."
Leia glanced at her data pad. "Do we need to pick a menu or will you have a buffet style meal?"
Luke shrugged. "Mara?"
"What would you suggest, Leia?"
"Buffet style meal might be easier, so there's a variety of foods. Especially when it comes to picky eaters like -- "
She was interrupted by Han who answered, "Like Jaina and Jacen?"
Leia made a face, "No, like you, you big nerf herder."
Luke hid his amused smile.
Mara’s eyes had a suspicious twinkle. "Buffet style sounds good, Leia. You can take care of the details, but I do think it'd be wise to choose simple foods. Nothing extravagant."
"Don't worry, there won't be anything extravagant."
"Now what date will work well for you?"
"How about in two months?"
"That should be long enough for Karrde to arrange to be on planet."
"And it'll be just after the twins turn two. So, they'll be a little older."
"I wish there was a way for Jaina to be in the wedding. I bet she'd love to wear a pretty dress and be with Aunt Mawra," Luke commented.
"Well, she could be in the wedding, but not officially. We could get her a basket of pretty flowers to carry. And she could walk with me and Han during the procession of the wedding party. That way we can keep an eye on her and Chewie can just watch Jacen for us." Leia remarked.
"It wouldn't be a family wedding without Chewie. He's going to be able to come for certain, right?"
"Yeah, we commed him last night. He's visiting Malla and Lumpy right now. He said he'd be back in time for the wedding."
"That's good," Mara remarked quietly, still remembering the gigantic hug that Chewie had greeted her with on Winter Fete, not long before they had made their engagement announcement.
"Okay, we've taken care of just about everything: food and the day. Now where do you want the ceremony to be held?"
"We don't want the paparazzi to find us, so the Tatooine Embassy building would be too obvious. Alderaan would be the next one they check. And I think even the Correllian one is out, because of the connection to Han." Luke remarked.
"I've got a suggestion. How about the newly readmitted Naboo embassy building?"
"Naboo? I've never heard of it." Luke inquired.
"I hadn't either. Apparently they were quite loyal to the Republic until just before the collapse of the Old Republic's government."
"Before the Empire?" Luke asked.
Leia nodded.
"That sounds good, Leia. Can you make the arrangements? Keep it low key, though, please." Mara assented, after checking with Luke silently.
Leia smiled, "Don't worry, we'll have tight security, especially with Chewie being in attendance."
"Okay, the last thing we need to figure out is where to hold the reception."
"Have you visited any reception halls yet?"
Luke shook his head, "Not yet, since I didn't want to risk the news getting back to some relative of Wes Janson. Maybe we can find a small hall that would keep quiet about the reception and who is being honored."
"I can look into that. Maybe Winter can help me out."
"By the way, Han….." Luke looked directly at his brother in law.
"Yes?"
"Have you and Wedge decided who is doing what at the ceremony and the reception?"
"We're each writing part of the speech to be condensed into one that tells a little of our knowledge about you. And I think Wedge wanted to be the one to carry the ring, which is fine with me."
About an hour later, Leia put a data pad down on the coffee table in front of her, and sighed with relief. "I think that just about wraps it up. The wedding is planned except for a few things that I'll take care of for you. Now you two can relax for awhile."
As they got up to leave, Han stopped them, "Don't forget that Jaina and Jacen's birthday is in five weeks."
"Don't worry, I'll remind him, Han."
Luke smiled at his fiancé. "We plan to be there. It'll be the last birthday for them before Mara officially becomes 'Aunt Mawra' so we wouldn’t miss it for anything."
