Yikes!
Then they divided the weapons, with Fenix wielding the Rodian's blaster rifle and wearing the torso of the nonhuman's light armor, and Ara, with her Mandalorian armor still covered under her clothes, had the light blaster pistol and the knife—she had wanted latter back because she could handle this weapon better as Fenix.
Fully geared up, each ready to fight for their own reasons and goals, the unlike team went to the door where the corridors passed and cautiously stepped out onto the main deck.
After taking a few steps into the shadows, Ara felt that they had done a terrible mistake.
As she turned, her feelings proved themselves right, because she was staring into the muzzles of six blaster rifles surrounding them.
Uh oh. Not good.

Kudzu posted: Definitely shaping up to be good, Corran. The characters so far are very interesting...
Vor entye, Kud'ika! That really means something to me.
Kudzu posted: so the bounty hunter and the Bothan are having a bit of a post-nuptial throwdown, eh?
Heh. Sort of, yep.
Kudzu posted: And I wonder what side the Bothan is really on, here...
Well, it seems like you'll just have to wait an see....

You got it. Thanks a bunch, VaderLVR64, I'm glad you liked it.
Oh, and I must disappoint with the last part of the Prologue... currently I have more Prison Break (best. show. ever. period.) on my mind than this story, but I'll try to get it done 'til Friday, going by the current very slow progress I have with it...

I really think you should have posted to prologue as a whole instead of adding to it via edit, Dave. Cliffhangers typically work better on TV, as I told ya.

When Few Stood Against Many*******Artwork of Gladus**********
|
Thanks, -DarkScorpion-, glad you liked it.
Sorry for the long wait, everyone, but I can tell you, I have a good excuse, being an artwork (took me four or five) that the amazing DarthKuk drew for me a while back, and now I inked his sketch and colored it.
It shows my OC Gladus Tite (from Pariah) as he will appear in When Few Stood Against Many. I know it's a spoiler, but I already told some of the readers of my older fics that both Pariah and Runner were made to introduce characters that would be major players in the sequel to Honor Guard, say WFSAM.
Anyway, here's Gladus in his full glory, I might add a background some time:
And for the story delay: I'll get to work on that ASAP, and I really, really hope I can come up with the end of the Prologue, as well as the first chapter by the end of the week. Sorry again.

Alright, everybody. Sorry for the long delay, I hope this rather long final part of the Prologue can excuse this.
Check the first post http://boards.theforce.net/beyond_the_saga/b10477/25253415/p1
I'm also pretty far with Chapter One already, I should be able to post it within the next few days.

Poor little Devaronian girl...good way of showing that the other side is human too (not really Human, but you know...)
I loved Byss Cheese, though. That was good.

As always, awesome action. Loved Ara at the beginning, there. I loved the gunslinger reference, there. Not surprised there weren't too many volunteers, but not in a bad way.
Byss Cheese
I love that...
Damn on the kid, there. Wow.
Awesome post, Corran!

Unintentional, maybe, yes.

That was my intention, although you could argue about whether taking a little girl on a hijacking job is really "human"... ^^
Kudzu posted: I loved Byss Cheese, though. That was good.
Hehe. I thought that you would notice that. And after the great new Sam & Max, I just couldn't resist the urge of putting some cheese into this, and it was awesome to see that SW got a version of Swiss Cheese, too.
Thanks for reading, I'm glad you liked it.

Heh. I know why I put it in there. Thank you, too, for reading, Striker. I'm glad you enjoyed it.

Thanks. I'm trying.
Oh, and everybody be sure to check out the artwork of Gladus... I should've put that into the PM, too, 'cause it appears as though nobody is reading other posts than updates.

"That's ironic, you know," the soppy-faced alien replied venturously, "coming from a member of a group of gun-for-hires who haven't too long ago been doing the dirty work for your loathed Vongese, as you call them."
Of all things he could've said, the Peace Brigader had picked the very most thing that he shouldn't have, and Ara didn't hesitate too long before letting him pay for that completely foolish and infelicitous boldness.
"Nar'sheb, hut'uun. Don't push your luck, scumbag."
And with that she lifted her left arm and released a silent saber-dart from her gauntlet, delivering the Twi'lek his ticket to netherworld.
Excellent! I loved it. Can't wait to see what happens next!
