Hey, I'm sorry if it took me a while to update this. I would've posted this sooner but the last couple of days haven't exactly been too great in my life... But anyway, I do apologise for the long delay.

Here's the newest chapter. Once again it's long but important. I hope you all like it.

CHAPTER 14: The Two Empires

Empress Ashelia Dalmaska (who was wearing a low cut white top and a long white skirt) placed her arms on the copper colored balustrade on her balcony. The 30-year-old brown haired woman sighed as she gazed out at the massive skyscraper filled city, Archades. For several minutes, she just stared at the busy streets, the giant buildings, and the dozens of hover cars that flew around the large metropolis.

Her attention was diverted away from the city when she heard a very manly voice from behind.

“Your highness.” said the voice.

Ashe slowly turned around and saw 47-year-old Judge Basch standing right at the balcony’s entrance. The older man had brown eyes, straight medium length blonde hair, and had little bit of facial hair. He wore thick dark gray body armor and a long dark gray cape. In his right hand, he held a dark gray armored Judge’s mask.

“I have received word from Zerxes on New Ivalice.” said Basch. “Construction in the shipyards is going as planned. They should be finished by the end of the week.”

Ashe nodded, looked down, and asked. “What about the shipyards on Ivalice 4?”

“From what I’ve been informed, all work at every shipyard in this solar system will be finished in seven days… In total, the number of starfighters and capital ships combined in this fleet could end up near the thousands.” said Basch.

Ashe sighed and kept her grayish blue eyes pointed at the ground.

“If this was seven years ago, that would’ve sounded reassuring,” said Ashe. She slowly shook her head and added. “But now I’m not so sure if it’s enough.”

“Your highness, this is going to be the largest army of ships ever assembled in Ivalician history… This should be enough to bring a crimpling blow to the Federation Empire.” Basch said as he walked closer to Ashe.

He stopped once he was a few feet away from her.

“Hopefully.” said Ashe. She looked up at Basch and added. “Thousands of my people have already died… And I don’t want their deaths to be in vain. We need to end this war and end it this year. The sooner we defeat the Federation, the sooner we can bring peace to this half of the galaxy.”

“Trust me, your highness. Before this year is over, we will see a final victory for Ivalice… In the past, we have prevailed against fiends like Vayne… Maria and the Federation will be no different.” said Basch.

Ashe folded her arms, took a deep breath, and looked to the side. There was a brief silence until Basch spoke again.

“Well I guess I better get back to my duties.” said Basch.

He bowed, turned, and began walking away. As soon as he was near the balcony’s entrance, Ashe said his name.

“Basch, wait.” said Ashe.

Basch stopped then turned around and looked at her.

“There’s something I want to ask you.” said Ashe.

“What is it, your highness?” Basch asked, a frown on his face.

Ashe looked at him and asked. “Would you accompany me to Radiant Garden?”

Basch stared at her for a second.

“Of course, but………why do you wish to go to Radiant Garden?” asked Basch.

“Because recently, Larsa and I received an invitation from Squall Leonhart. He said that in four days, he and a few other world leaders are going to be conducting a meeting, regarding the establishment of a galactic alliance… And he asked for me and Larsa to attend this meeting.” replied Ashe.

“And you both accepted his proposal?” asked Basch.

“Of course we did… This could give Ivalice an opportunity to become better acquainted with other worlds. And since this is a grand occasion I want my dearest friends to accompany me… Balthier and Fran have already agreed to come. And Larsa has probably already invited Vaan and Penelo.” said Ashe.

“This gathering sounds nice and all, but…”

Ashe frowned. “But what?”

“I’m not so sure if it’s a good idea for you and Ambassador Larsa to be traveling that far… Radiant Garden is on the other half of the galaxy. Maria might see your departure as an opportunity to make an attempt on your lives.”

“It’s a risk that we’re going to have to take.” Ashe turned, looked at the city, and added. “And who knows… maybe Radiant Garden might join us in our fight against the Federation Empire.”

“Now that would be something that would make the entire Ivalice system rejoice.”

---------------------------------------

“Are you crazy!?” 28-year-old Vaan (who had short blonde hair and blue eyes) shouted as he stared across the white circular outdoor table at Larsa.

The 24-year-old dark haired ambassador didn’t say a word. He just leaned back in his chair, took a sip of his hot lemon tea, and looked up at the clear blue sky.

“Vaan…” said 27-year-old blonde and brown-eyed Penelo, who was seated next to Vaan.

“No, no, no, Penelo. I’m not going to be silent on this one. Somebody has to talk sense into this guy.” Vaan said as he folded his arms.

Larsa turned his gaze to the former sky pirate.

“Vaan, it is useless to try to persuade me not to go. Ashe and I have already accepted the invitation.” Larsa said as he sat his cup of tea on the table.

“I don’t believe this………Have you and Ashe forgotten that we are in the middle of a war!? This isn’t exactly the ideal time to be having a little get-together on some distant planet. It’s not like Radiant Garden is a hop, skip, and a jump from Ivalice. It’s on the other half of the galaxy… and the Federation could see this as a golden opportunity to not also eliminate you and Ashe… but also launch a full scale invasion on this entire solar system.” said Vaan.

“I’m aware of the war and all the possible dangers. But I also believe that this gathering at Radiant Garden could be the key to ending this senseless conflict.” said Larsa.

“Oh no… don’t tell me you still think that we and the Federation should become allies again.” said Vaan.

“Well I certainly think we should… In my opinion, this war should’ve never happened.” said Penelo.

“I agree.” said Larsa.

“Look!” Vaan slammed his hand on the table causing Penelo and even Larsa to slightly jump in their seats. “We were already friends with those scum bags and look what happened… we were stabbed in the back and lost thousands of innocent people! They built their little satellite weapon over this planet claiming it was an act of friendship and to help Ivalice’s defenses. Reality was it was part of their little scheme to destroy Ivalice… Rabanastre now lies in ruins because of their little weapon… If the Rozarrian Squadron didn’t go up and destroy it, who knows what would’ve happened next.”

Vaan sighed then added. “I’m just glad that Ashe and none of you guys weren't in the city at the time………enough people were lost that day…including Kytes, Dalin, Migelo…”

Vaan didn’t finish. He just turned his gaze to the ground. Penelo’s brow crinkled as she reached over and placed her hand on top of Vaan’s.

“Vaan…” Penelo said softly. “I miss them too…it still hurts when I think about what happened.”

Vaan looked at her and asked. “Then why? Why do want us to even consider a peace with the Federation?”

“Because… I don’t think that the destruction of Rabanastre was intentional… I actually believe that the Federation had nothing to do with what happened.” said Penelo.

“They were the ones building the satellite… as much as you want to believe that they are innocent. They aren’t. Not by a long shot.” said Vaan.

“Is that so?” replied Larsa. “Well in my humblest opinion there are too many things regarding that incident that just don’t add up. For instance… why would Maria contact us several hours after the mayhem and tell us that she had no idea how the satellite fired off? She even went on to say that it could’ve been a malfunction or even the work of a saboteur. And on top of that, she even offered to investigate what happened.”

“Oh come on." Vaan shot back. "There was no saboteur or malfunction. I saw the transmission. You could clearly see just by looking at Maria’s face that she was lying through her teeth.”

“Maria was our dearest friend prior to that whole disaster. And I find it hard to believe that such a person who did so much for us would put together such a heinous plot.” said Larsa.

“Well whatever. You and Penelo can believe whatever you want but the fact is, Maria and the Federation are responsible for Rabanastre’ destruction. I know it. Ashe knows it. And everyone else in this empire knows it. It’s all ancient history and fact.” said Vaan.

“It’s far from fact. It is more of an assumption that has been deemed as fact. And history can easily be rewritten by uncovering new evidence… This eight-year war has caused nothing except more pointless deaths. And I’m going to continue on searching for a way to end it without more bloodshed.” said Larsa.

“The gathering at Radiant Garden could be that golden opportunity you’re looking for.” said Penelo.

“Precisely.” Larsa said, picking up his cup of tea. “With all those world leaders there, I might be able to persuade some of them to assist me in convincing Ashe and Maria to come to terms in ending this bloody war… Because if something isn’t done, more troops and innocent people are going to perish… Too many have died already.”

Vaan sighed, folded his arms, and said. “Interesting plan… but I still think it’s a bad idea to go to Radiant Garden.”

“So I take it you’re not going to come.” said Larsa.

“Oh he’s going to come alright.” said Penelo. “Even if I have to whack him over the head and drag him into the ship.”

“Okay, okay, I’ll come. Sheesh. You don’t have to be brutal about it.” said Vaan.

“Hey, somebody’s got to keep you in line. And what better person than your humble wife.” said Penelo.

“Hmph. You’re far from humble, Penelo.” said Vaan.

Larsa smiled at Vaan’s comment and held back a laugh.

Penelo, however, glared at Vaan then folded her arms and said. “What’s that suppose to mean?”

“Nothing.” Vaan said in an innocent tone of voice. “Except that you are really cute when you get all mad and tough.”

“Don’t give me that cute stuff. I know darn well that you’re trying to cover up a rude remark.” said Penelo.

“I’m serious.” Vaan leaned over and planted a soft kiss on Penelo’s lips. “You are cute when you get tough.”

It only took a couple seconds before a smile appeared on Penelo’s face.

------------------------------------

The planet Federation Delta was rather small in size and had a surface made up of solid cold rock. Circling around the planet was a large icy ring that if viewed through a telescope would glow a light blue in color. The planet had only one moon known as Lycos and it was completely covered with ice.

Federation Delta was the tenth and furthest planet in the F-4 solar system, which was one of three solar systems that the Federation Empire controlled. It was so far from the F-4 yellow sun that it was always nighttime on the planet. It had only one domed city known as Teraiss that covered half the planet’s rocky surface.

Because of the history surrounding Federation Delta, the Federation Empire named itself after the small planet and even made it the capitol planet of the empire.

Standing before a large window looking up at Teraiss’s transparent dome was the 30-year-old empress Maria Traydor (who had long blue hair, blue eyes, and wore a black shirt and a long black skirt). Her lips pursed and her face showed little emotion as she turned away from the window and looked over at her two comrades (47-year-old blonde haired and gray-eyed Cliff Fitter and 34-year-old red haired and green eyed Nel Zelphur) standing around a large circular table. Littered all across the table were several important datacards and holopads.

Maria slowly walked over and stopped before the table.

Nel folded her arms and said. “This is not good. According to our spies, Ivalice is building what could be the largest fleet ever assembled.”

“A full scale invasion force.” Cliff said bitterly. He slammed his fist into his hand and added. “Damn it… our shipyards have barely begun manufacturing more ships. How are we going to be able to counter something like this?”

“Frankly, I think the reports are over exaggerating. The last time they said that Ivalice was building the largest fleet in existence, we ended up fighting that so called fleet to the point they had to retreat.” said Maria.

“But still…the death toll that day made our victory taste as bitter as defeat.” said Nel.

“That’s for sure.” said Cliff.

“Yes, yes. It wasn’t pleasant. But it was still a victory nonetheless.” Maria said with little emotion in her tone.

“The point is, if they’re going to launch a grand attack on one of our systems, we need as many ships as possible to counter this threat. If we go in with a force smaller than theirs, we will get wiped out in a matter of minutes.” said Nel.

“Look we already have hundreds of galactic class starships with good captains. And the squadrons are in tiptop shape. It should be enough to resist an invasion.” said Maria.

“Uh, you know, this whole thing kind of brings up another problem.” said Cliff.

Maria folded her arms and asked. “And that is?”

“Those heavenly bombs that those Ivalician starfighters carry. The shields on our starships still have problems deflecting them.” said Cliff.

“He’s right. The defense at Praxis almost fell just because of one Ivalician squadron. And most of the damage done to us in every star fight is always because of those heavenly bombs. We need to come up with a way to deflect them.” replied Nel.

“As much as we would all love to have a shield to counter them, I’m afraid it’s not possible at this time… I’ve talked with the scientists, and they said that it would take several more years of research and development to come up with an advanced shield that could resist a heavenly bomb.” said Maria.

She paused then added. “We’re just going to have to work with what we have. And as for the extra ships… there’s really nothing I can do about the rate our shipyards manufacture ships. Two weeks is the best they can do. Until those ships are ready, we just have to stay alert and be ready for anything.”

Cliff breathed out and rubbed the back of his head. Nel just closed her eyes and slightly tightened her lips. Cliff’s face suddenly brightened.

He snapped his fingers and said. “I got it! We’re going to Radiant Garden in a few days, right? Well since this Musashi guy is trying to form a galactic alliance, why don’t we try to convince him and some of these leaders to help us put an end to the Ivalician Empire.”

“I highly doubt that Musashi or even King Mickey would want to get involved in this mess.” said Nel.

“Well hey, we might all team up and form an alliance anyway, right? So why not ask for their help in taking down one of the galaxy’s biggest threats?” said Cliff.

“I frankly don’t want to drag anyone else into this war.” said Maria. “The last thing I want is for others to experience the horrifying wrath of Ivalice.”

“Well we should at least ask… perhaps a united front could stop Ashe and those stuck up barbarians.” said Cliff.

“True… A unified force could defeat Ivalice… But as I said, I am not going to drag anyone into this nightmare. If they’re going to help… it will be by their choice. Not mine.” said Maria.

Cliff sighed then folded his arms.

“Anyway… that’s all for now. I’m going to retire to my quarters. If anything important happens let me know.” said Maria.

Both Cliff and Nel gave a nod. Maria then turned to her left and made her way to the room’s exit. She exited the room and strolled down an eloquent hallway. She walked down several hallways until she finally came to her quarters. She clicked on the door’s console and the metallic door slid open.

As soon as Maria entered her quarters (which had white walls and a blue carpet), the door behind her slid shut. She turned around and pressed a black button on the console. There was a loud click and the door behind her locked the door.

Maria turned, slowly walked over her silver couch, and plopped herself down on the couch. She took a deep breath and for a few seconds, she just sat there staring off at her wall.

Maria looked over on the right side of the couch and saw six datacards. She reached over and grabbed two of the cards. She looked closely at each one and saw the word ‘Casualties’ at the top. On each card, she saw a list of names and in the corner was a five-digit number. She gazed at the cards for a long time.

Her grip on each one tightened to the point that her hands shook. A scowl appeared on her face as she continued to stare at the long list of casualties. She shook her head, screamed, and threw the two cards. There was a loud clank as the cards slammed into the wall.

She breathed out and buried her face in her hands.

“Damn this war.” Maria whispered. She paused then removed her hands from her face.

A glare appeared on her face when she added. “Damn you, Ashe… Damn you.”

----------------------------------

30-year-old blue haired and green-eyed Fayt Leingod strolled out of the elevator with Albel Nox by his side. As they were walking down the hall, the 35-year-old brown haired and red-eyed warrior looked over at Fayt and spoke.

“Do not fret, Leingod… one of these days you will get the opportunity to strike down that worthless maggot.” said Albel.

“I don’t know… Vaan is as slippery as a space worm. Every time I think I’m going to get him, he somehow gets away.” said Fayt.

“That’s because he’s a coward like the rest of the Ivalicians. They only fight well when their opponent is not looking… When you fight them head on, they’re nothing but a bunch of gutless wimps.” said Albel.

“Wimps’ is the last thing I’d call them… heartless barbarians is more like it.” said Fayt.

“Well either way, they are no match against the Federation’s finest… eight years and they still can’t defeat us.”

Fayt frowned. “And yet we still haven’t defeated them……….It ticks me off in a way. How is it that innocent people like Peppita and Audray are dead and yet monsters like Ashe and Vaan are still alive?”

“Hmph. Crap happens. We just have to deal with it… And as true warriors, we must see to it that the monsters get what they deserve in the end.” Albel sneered and added. “A quick and bloody death.”

“That’s exactly what I plan to do to Vaan… I’m going to make him pay for killing my mother and Mirage.”

Albel laughed. “Yes, Leingod, you will avenge them. In fact, I can already picture it… In a grand battle, you will slay the worm of Ivalice Vaan. While at the same time, I, Albel The Wicked, will plunge my blade through the heart of Ashe’s little pet Basch Fon Ronsenburg.”

“I seriously hope your little daydream becomes a reality… for all our sakes.”

“Oh it will… It will indeed… And after we kill those maggots, we and the rest of the warriors will share a bottle of blood whine over their dead bodies.” Albel smiled and added. “It will be a day long remembered in the history of this empire.”

“Uh…yeah.” Fayt replied, looking at the front door of Maria’s quarters. He stopped in his tracks, which made Albel do the same.

Fayt looked at Albel and said. “Well, I’m going to go check on Maria. Take care, Albel.”

Albel stared at Fayt for a second then looked at Maria’s door. A thin smile appeared on his face when he looked back at Fayt.

“Have fun, Leingod.” said Albel.

Fayt’s face immediately turned red. As soon as he turned away from Albel, Albel started down the long hallway. Fayt slowly walked over to Maria’s door. He looked at the console, saw that it was glowing red, and knew that it was locked. He looked to the left of the door and pressed a small green button.

After pressing the button five times, he finally saw the door slide open. Fayt’s green eyes locked with Maria’s blue orbs. For a few seconds they just stared at each other.

“Can I come in?” asked Fayt.

Maria nodded and allowed Fayt to enter. Maria closed and locked the door then turned and made her way over to Fayt, who was now standing near the edge of the couch. She stopped as soon as she was two feet away from Fayt.

Fayt looked at her and asked. “So… how are you doing?”

Maria folded her arms and answered with a dark look on her face. “How do you think I’m doing?”

Fayt breathed out a sigh and looked down.

“Hundreds to thousands of my people are dying left and right. And nothing is getting done… The only thing that’s happening is that more names are being added to an already long list of casualties.” said Maria.

“And all for a war that we didn’t even start in the first place.” Fayt folded his arms, shook his head, and added. “I mean………I can’t believe how stupid they are… Ashe and the Ivalicians were supposed to be our friends! We told them that we didn’t plan Rabanastre’s destruction. And yet they blamed us for it anyway……… And then they launched that attack on Elicoor…”

“We have lost many in this war… and in a way, I’m sort of to blame.” said Maria.

Fayt frowned at hearing this.

“I should’ve never come up with that whole defense satellite idea… It was a prototype and it hadn’t been tested before. So it was foolish of me to even think of putting it over an ally’s planet especially during an anniversary.” said Maria.

“Yeah but how were we suppose to know that it was going to malfunction or that someone was going to sabotage it.” said Fayt.

“Look none of us knows what really happened. It could’ve been sabotaged or it could’ve malfunctioned… Either way, if I hadn’t come up with that idea, the malfunction or sabotage would’ve never occurred. Rabanastre would still be around right now. All those people that were in that city would be alive and none of this would’ve ever happened……… And everyone on that casualty list would also be alive.”

Fayt slowly walked closer to Maria then gently snaked his hands around her waist. He leaned down and planted a soft but long kiss on her lips.

He slowly pulled away, looked into her eyes, and said in soft tone. “None of this was your fault. You didn’t know this was going to happen… the whole satellite thing took us all by surprise… And besides, Ashe did agree to have the satellite placed over the planet. So she should’ve known that there was going to be some form of risk anyway.”

Maria breathed out a sigh then looked away from Fayt’s face.

“I just wish this war would end.” said Maria.

“We all do… but I guarantee you that there will be a final victory for the Federation.” Fayt said, a smile on his face.

Maria turned her gaze back to Fayt’s eyes. She looked at him for a second then smiled thinly.

“I hope your right, Fayt.” said Maria. “I really hope your right.”

Musashi, sitting on the white sand of Destiny Islands largest beach Paopu Beach, smiled and stared off at the light blue ocean before him. He gave out a sigh as the cool breeze blew across his body. He looked up at the clear blue sky, closed his eyes, and listened to the gentle waves that rushed across the sand.

Three minutes passed and that’s when he heard a feminine voice not too far from where he was.

“I knew I’d find you here.” said the voice.

Musashi opened his eyes, looked to his left, and saw his childhood friend Soreena standing a few feet from him. The attractive 33-year-old woman was the widowed mother of Sora. She had long straight brown hair, blue eyes, and was currently wearing a light blue sleeveless shirt and a long yellow skirt.

“I guess some things never change.” Soreena said, a smile gracing her fair face.

Musashi returned the smile and said. “I guess not. Care to join me?”

“Well I certainly didn’t come down here to collect sea shells.” Soreena said as she sat down beside Musashi.

Musashi snickered a little. He stared at Soreena for a second then asked. “So how are things down at the bakery?”

“Same as every other day… although I did miss having those frequent visits by a certain pastry loving mayor.” said Soreena.

“You know I would’ve visited many times if I wasn’t so busy.” said Musashi. “It seems like every hour I’m either flying around the galaxy or fighting some large scale battle.”

“Yeah, it does seem that way… I got admit though I have been worried about you and Sora over these past couple of weeks.” replied Soreena.

“Soreena, your son and I are well trained warriors. Plus he’s also a powerful wizard with a keyblade. So there’s really nothing to worry about.”

“Nothing to worry about!? You guys are running off taking on blood thirsty shadow creatures as well as crazy old hags with bad taste in clothing. I think I have every right to worry… And by the way, what is the real reason why my son is going on this trek to GFA-18?”

Musashi turned his gaze away from Soreena and to the ground. “So he told you about that.”

“Only a little bit. He said he was taking out the remaining garbage bags in his ship and then was going to head off to GFA-18 with Riku and Kairi. I asked him why and he told me it was because he had to go help a group of heroes protect a… crystal.”

Soreena paused for a second then added with a frown. “But what I want to know is why are they doing this anyway? I know there has to be another reason besides protecting a crystal… Oh and another thing… how the hell are they going to get to GFA-18!? I thought it was impossible to travel to other galaxies.”

Musashi scratched the side of his face and simply replied. “Eh…”

“Musashi, please tell me what’s going on. I thought you told me that Maleficent was dead." said Soreena.

Musashi looked at Soreena and said. “She is.”

“Well then why are Riku, Kairi, and my son traveling to another galaxy all for some little crystal?”

“Well, it’s… complicated.”

Soreena's brow crinkled. “So there is trouble.”

There was a brief silence before Musashi finally replied. “In the matter of speaking…yes.”

“Then tell me what it is.” said Soreena.

Musashi took a deep breath and looked away from Soreena’s eyes.

“Musashi, please…” begged Soreena. “My son is out there right now traveling to some unknown place. It’s enough that I have trouble sleeping at night knowing that at any moment you or him could end up dead… I think at this point, I have the right to know why he’s doing what he’s doing.”

Musashi stared at the sand for a second then slowly looked back at Soreena.

“Alright… I’ll tell you.” answered Musashi.

Musashi explained everything to Soreena. When he was through, Soreena just stared at him with a look of horror on her face.

“My gods…” Soreena murmured.

“Soreena, promise me that you won’t tell anyone about this. Squall, Mickey, and I aren’t exactly ready to reveal this information to the public. We know that something of this magnitude could cause a serious wave of panic.” said Musashi.

Soreena slowly nodded and said in a low tone. “I understand…………I just can’t believe all this.”

“I know. It seems like something straight out of a nightmare. But one things for sure… Squall, Mickey, and I have to get this unified galactic government established as soon as possible.” said Musashi.

“Unified galactic government?” asked Soreena.

“Yes… you see if we form this alliance we’ll be able to become better friends with other worlds and factions. We’ll have fair trade with one another… Come to each other’s aid. And pretty much work together as a unit or a giant family.”

“Kind of like a republic.”

“Exactly. And by forming this alliance… or republic, we might also be able to create a strong enough force to counter Saeon’s Galactus Alpha.”

“Yeah but if Mickey protects the cornerstone and my son succeeds in protecting the crystal, we won’t need to worry about the Galactus.”

“Mickey told me something similar… but understand the villain mind. If one plan fails then you can certainly bet that the villain has another one waiting to be unleashed."

“Oh I see…you’re worried that Saeon might use the Galactus even without the cornerstone.”

“No I’m positive that he’s going to use both of them… Instead of destroying our galaxy and GFA-18 in a few minutes, he’ll try to do it star by star.”

“And if he gets the cornerstone and the crystal…”

“Then may the oceans of luck be with us all.”

There was a long silence between the two.

After several minutes, Soreena finally broke the silence. “I don’t know what my son and those heroes at GFA-18 plan to do… But what are we going to do? Don’t we have enough ships in the Space Force?”

“Not enough to take on the Galactus Alpha alone. But if combined with the fleets of other worlds and factions we MIGHT be able to destroy it in battle.” Musashi paused then added. “The two factions that we would really need the support of are Ivalice and the Federation.”

“But what if you can’t get their support? I mean they do hate each other with a passion.” said Soreena.

“Well… earlier when I was flying back here… I along with Hero and Angelo went over several topics regarding the Galactus Alpha. One of the topics was ‘what will be our chances of destroying that thing with or without the support of the Federation and Ivalice’… The percentages we came up with were rather disturbing.” said Musashi.

Soreena’s brow crinkled when she asked. “What…were the percentages?”

Musashi took a deep breath. “If these calculations are correct, we would have a 50 percent chance of destroying the Galactus Alpha with the support of the Ivalician Empire, the Federation Empire, and every other technologically advanced faction.”

“And…if we don’t have their support?” Soreena said, her tone full of dread.

“Without Ivalice and the Federation, we would have…a 30 percent chance of success. And that’s counting the help of advanced factions like Valhalla.” said Musashi.

“My gods.” Soreena paused then added. “So you’re saying without their help we have no chance of stopping the Galactus.”

“Eh…”

That’s all Soreena needed to hear. She buried her face in her right hand and shook her head.

“And you told me not to worry about anything…hmph!” replied Soreena.

Musashi placed his hand softly on Soreena's back and said. “Hey… have faith. Squall, Mickey, and I might be able to convince them to cease their war, join the alliance, and help us stop Saeon and his mega ship.”

Soreena looked at Musashi and replied. “But how are you going to convince them? You’ll be lucky just to get them in the same room with each other.”

“Well actually…we kind of did something a little sneaky. But in the end it is for the greater good.” said Musashi.

“Oh no, Musashi, what did you do?” Soreena said in a tone full of worry.

“It’s more like what did me and Squall do… you see in a few days we’re going to be meeting with all the leaders, right. Well…when I went to invite Maria… I kind of…didn’t tell her that Ashe was attending.” Musashi said, unease in his tone.

“You did what!?”

“And Squall kind of didn’t tell Ashe… that Maria was attending… Mickey didn’t agree with this method but…"

Soreena frowned. “Of course he didn’t agree… you guys have lied to these two women… And let me tell you, one thing we women hate most is being lied to.”

“Listen, Soreena. We had no choice but to lie to them. If I told Maria that Ashe was coming to the meeting she would’ve turned me down quicker than a great white sucks down a tuna… And if Squall told Ashe about Maria attending, she would’ve chewed his head off.”

“I still think it’s wrong… If you are trying to get them to join you, lying to them is not the key."

“I have no regrets, Soreena… I’d do the same thing again if I had the choice. All I know is that besides preventing Saeon from getting the cornerstone, the fate of this galaxy depends on us getting the Federation and Ivalice to join this proposed alliance.”

Musashi paused, turned his gaze to the sea, and then added. “And I’m going to do whatever it takes to get Ashe and Maria to unite once again. Even if it means doing some shady things at times.”

---------------------------------

Yor squinted his eyes and aimed his blaster pistil at the red target, which was strapped on to the chest of a manikin. He pulled the trigger and a blue blaster bolt fired out of the blaster and straight into the red target. Standing a few feet away from Yor was Mortimer who was putting a few more bullets into his silver handgun.

“I don’t get it. Why can’t we just kill Maria and Ashe?” Yor said to Mortimer.

“Cause we got a good thing going here with those two tweety birds." said Mortimer. "I mean, think about it. What’s more fun than killing a hero?”

“Throwing a disabled person over a cliff.” Yor said bluntly as he took aim once again.

“Yeah that’s fun too. But… the thing that’s more fun than killing a hero…is getting two heroes to fight against each other.” Mortimer said with a grin as he aimed his gun at the target.

They both fired their weapons and both shots hit the red target.

“I know it’s fun… but eventually it gets a little flat. A good clean kill is much more… satisfying.” said Yor.

“Don’t worry about it! You and I have put them in a never-ending war… not even Mick and those two other jokers can undo what we’ve done.” Mortimer said, a big happy smile his face.

He aimed his gun at the target and pulled the trigger.

“It’s as I said over and over again… women are so easy to manipulate… why their so fragile and dumb getting them wrapped around your little finger is as easy as stealing from a blind man. Ashe and Maria are the prime examples of that.” said Mortimer.

The mouse laughed and fired another bullet at the target.

“Point.” Yor said, pulling the trigger on his blaster.

“But anyway… on to a new topic… what do you plan to do after we destroy these two feeble galaxies?” Mortimer asked as he fired another bullet.

“I don’t care where I go. I just want money…and power.” said Yor. “Because you see when you have those two things…you don’t need anything else.”

“Amen to that! That’s precisely what I want… well, sort of… I actually plan on ruling another galaxy as king.” said Mortimer.

Yor fired his blaster then looked at Mortimer with a raised eyebrow and asked. “Are you sure Saeon would actually allow that?”

“Of course he would! The boss already promised that after all is said and done, he’s going to let me rule over another distant galaxy… and I already have the whole thing mapped out.” said Mortimer.

“Do you now.” said Yor.

“Yep.” Mortimer replied with a grin. “As king, I’ll see to it that crime, murder, gambling, drinking, and smoking are at an all time high in the galaxy. You know, all the fun stuff.”

“Sounds like my kind of place. Remind me to live there.” said Yor.

“You got it. I’ll even make sure you get your own casino. And to make things even better… I’m going to have Minnie as my wife.”

“I thought you didn’t want to get tied down.”

“I said women are easy to manipulate… I didn’t say I didn’t want one… You see, in my opinion, women are only good for three things: cook, clean, and being used as little play things.”

Yor fired his blaster at the target. “Right again, Mortimer."

“Of course, I’m right. I’m always right.” Mortimer said, aiming his gun at the target.

He sneered then added. “And let me tell yah…taking Minnie from Mick is going to be quite simple.”

Mortimer fired his gun and the bullet landed perfectly on the target.

“I’m going to take his wife…and then I’m going to take his life.” said Mortimer.

He then laughed loudly.

------------------------------------

Jag exited the bedroom then strolled into the living room. He looked over at the couch and saw Jaina sitting on the right side reading a datacard. He smiled thinly and walked over to her. He stopped and that’s when Jaina looked up at him.

“I’m going to go take a quick walk. I’ll be right back.” said Jag.

“Alright." said Jaina.

Jag then leaned down until his lips softly met with Jaina’s. They kissed for a couple of seconds until Jag slowly pulled away.

Jaina moaned and said. “You are such a good kisser.”

“I know.” Jag said with a grin.

Jaina smirked and slowly shook her head. Jag turned and walked to the front door. He pressed on the console and the door slid open. As soon as he walked out into the hallway, the front door slid shut.

For a few minutes, Jaina sat in silence while reading the writing on the datapad. She suddenly heard a ring at the door. She looked at the door and sighed. She sat the datapad down beside her, stood up, and made her way to the front door.

She opened the door and saw Kyp Durron standing before her.

“Jaina, we need to talk.” Kyp said as he immediately walked past her and into the living room.

“I guess there’s no point in me saying come in.” Jaina said, closing the door.

She folded her arms, walked over to where Kyp was standing, and asked. “So what’s going on, Kyp?”

“Remember that mission we sent Torres, Tahiri, and Alema on?” asked Kyp.

“Yeah.” Jaina replied, a frown on her face.

“Well apparently it wasn’t as minor as we thought it was. The Baron and the Security Chief of Cloud City were both assassinated.” said Kyp.

“What!?” replied Jaina.

“Yeah and to make it worst several tibanna gas platforms were also destroyed.” said Kyp.

Jaina breathed out a sigh, walked over, and sat down on the couch.

She looked up at Kyp and asked. “Do Tahiri, Alema, and Torres know who’s behind all this?”

“That’s where we have a problem.” Kyp walked over, sat down next to Jaina, and finished. “Torres has informed me that all physical evidence is pointing towards the Chiss.”

“The Chiss!?” replied Jaina. “But that doesn’t make sense. Why would they pull a stunt like this?”

“Well apparently the Baron’s killer was a Chiss boy. According to Torres, there’s a security hologram that has the boy confessing that he did the murders for the Chiss.” said Kyp.

“Oh well that’s just great. Now there’s definitely going to be a full scale war between the Chiss and the Alliance.”

“Maybe not.”

“What do you mean?”

“Torres said that when he, Alema, and Tahiri encountered the boy they felt this strange power emitting from him.”

Look of interest appeared on Jaina’s face.

“You mean it was like the unusual presences we’ve been feeling lately.” said Jaina.

“Only a little weaker. Now I have a theory. The one behind this wasn’t the Chiss…but someone who wanted to frame them.” said Kyp.

“I know where you’re getting at… you think Saeon is behind it.”

“If you think about it, it all makes sense. When I met him years ago, I felt a strange dark power from him. Years later weird stuff starts happening, we feel these strange dark presences, and his name resurfaces all around the same time… Getting the Kaiburr Crystal is obviously not the only thing he’s planning to do. He’s got something else up his sleeve… And if we can prove that he was behind this incident and that the Chiss had nothing to do with it. We might be able to prevent a war.”

“Alright... hold on here... let’s assume you’re right and that he is behind this Cloud City incident. Why would he want to frame the Chiss and start a war? He's trying to destroy everything anyway. What reason would he have to stoop to this?”

Kyp sighed and shook his head. “I don’t know.”

He looked down at the ground while Jaina frowned and folded her arms. After a minute of silence, a look of realization slowly appeared on Jaina’s face.

“Wait.” said Jaina.

Kyp frowned and looked at her.

“What if he knows that we know about his plan? We do after all have close ties with the Galactic Alliance and Jag has some ties with the Chiss.” said Jaina.

She stood up and began to pace.

“If he knows... he might think that we would tell the Alliance about his plan and Jag would tell the Chiss… And despite all the hatred they have towards each other, you can better believe that the Chiss and the Alliance would hunt down Saeon’s creation and attempt to destroy it…... I mean think about it… you have a galaxy destroying weapon and you’re going to use it on a galaxy with two powerful factions… now what would you do to prevent a resistance against you.” said Jaina.

Kyp thought for a second. Soon a look of realization appeared on his face.

“Create a diversion.” said Kyp. “A war.”

“Exactly… if you are correct, Kyp, and Saeon is behind the Cloud City incident… it would mean that he’s trying to start a war between the Alliance and the Chiss just so that there’d be nothing to go up against his Galactus.” Jaina said, looking straight at Kyp.

“That's assuming if I'm right, which I think I am this time." Kyp paused then added. "But wait a minute... if he really is trying to start a war… then that means the people who would try to keep it from happening…”

“Would be his main targets.” Jaina said in a grim tone.

Suddenly, Jaina and Kyp closed their eyes and touched their heads. Through the Force, the two Jedi Masters felt an unusual dark presence. And it was coming from outside the Academy. They dove deeper into the Force and felt another presence near the dark one.

Jaina’s eyes shot open. The other presence near the dark presence was Jag.

“Jag.” Jaina whispered.

Jaina and Kyp wasted no time. They immediately headed towards the front door.

------------------------------------

Jag took a deep breath as he walked on the rocky earth beneath him. He stopped and looked out at the distant horizon. For a minute, he just stood there and stared at the horizon with an emotionless look on his face.

Just as he was about to walk, he heard a blaster go off from behind him. Jag growled and cringed as a blaster bolt nailed him straight through his left shoulder. He clutched his shoulder and took several breaths.

“Well, well…if it isn’t Zawn’s little helper.” said a manly voice from behind Jag.

Jag frowned, slowly turned around, and saw a man that was a little bit younger than he was. The man had straight medium length black hair, blue eyes, and had a mustache. He wore a blood red tunic, blood red pants, black boots, and a black cape. In the man’s left hand was a black blaster rifle. Jag knew who it was.

“Cem!?” said Jag.

Cem Fel glared at Jag and replied in a bitter tone. “Hello…brother.”

---------------------------------

---------------------------------

---------------------------------

Well, there you go. The Fel working for Saeon has finally been revealed! Now the question is: what's going to happen next?

I hope you all enjoyed this chapter happy . The next chapter will show what happens between these two brothers and will also feature Ben, Sora, and the others.

And since I ended the chapter this way. It gave me an idea for a brilliant new trivia grin !!!

Question: Jagged Fel has five siblings( both living and deceased). Can you name those five siblings?

Good luck on the trivia everyone grin !!!!

P.S- I hope you guys like the logo I created for this story on page 1.

I'm glad you liked the update. There's going be a lot more Cem in the next chapter. And later we'll find out a little more why he has joined up with psycho Saeon.

I'm so happy that you loved this chapter and the story's logo grin . And in the next chapter you will find out more about Cem. Later on he's going to be having some chats with a certain FF female character. Sadly, Jag might now officially be one of Saeon's main targets.

Anyway, I have a slight spoiler for you all. In the coming chapters, three characters are going to die. All three are female. And I won't say how or who kills them. You'll find out. There will be more deaths besides those three.

Oh my...I never thought I was gonna get to the end of the chapter. tongue

Mortimer and Yor crack me up! laugh They have got to be the dumbest bad guys ever. Sure, think all you want that females are easy to manipulate but Sooreena was right about women hating to be lied to. We become angry. Violent too. (well maybe just in my case tongue )

And if they think they're going to get a little corner of the galaxies all their own, then they are going to be in for a big surprise. I'm just saying.

And thank you, thank you, thank you. It's not Jag. Not liking that it's Cem, but at least its not the Fel we love.

Can't wait to see the rest of this reunion.

And trivia. I love your trivia. This one I think I can handle.

Jag's 5 siblings = Davin, Chak, Cherith, Cem, and Wyn...

Just so you know I never believed that hooha about Chak and Davin being two different people. Davin was his Corellian name and I thought perhaps he took the name Chak as kind of a Chiss name. Made sense to me anyway.

Mortimer and Yor are quite silly, aren't they tongue . One thing I can say is that before this story is over, a lot of villains are going to learn to not underestimate the might and intelligence of women. Hehehe. Some good stuff is going to happen in the future mischief .

As for Cem...there is a reason why he's doing what he's doing. His reasoning is somewhat similiar to another villain's reasoning in this story.

This sucker is huge. And it took me a while to write it.

Anyway, first let's start with the trivia answer. And Lola, you guessed right!

Question: Jagged Fel has five siblings( both living and deceased). Name those five siblings.
Answer: Davin, Chak, Cherith, Cem, and Wynssa

Now on to the chapter. This is another giant chapter and is important to the plot. I'm not sure if the ending is as shocking as the last one, but still it could surprise some of you. Anyway, I hope you all enjoy this chapter.

CHAPTER 15: Plans

Jag stared at his younger brother for a long time. He slowly shook his head and spoke in a low tone. “I can’t believe its you… I…I thought you were dead.”

“Well as you can see I’m one hundred percent alive and healthy. Though I have to admit, hearing you say my name nauseates the hell out of me.” said Cem.

Jag frowned and replied. “What?”

“Don’t pretend like you don’t know what this is all about.” The forty year-old male took three steps towards Jag and stopped. “You being the sophisticated ‘know it all’ should know why I’ve returned after so many years.”

Jag stared into his eyes for a few seconds. He didn’t give a reply. He just slowly turned his eyes to the ground.

“So………you’re still affected by what happened.” said Jag, keeping his gaze aimed at the ground.

“Still affected!? Tell me, Jag, what normal human being wouldn’t still be affected!?” said Cem.

“Cem….” Jag looked at his brother. “I know you loved Alexandria. And I know what the Alliance did was wrong-”

“And yet… you went off and married the very person who helped lead the attack that took my fiancée.” Cem paused then added. “I’ll never forget that, Jag………… Never.”

Cem pointed the blaster rifle at Jag’s right leg then fired. Jag cried out and fell to the ground. He cringed as he placed his hand on the edge of his wound.

Cem looked down at Jag with a straight face. Like a vulture, he began to slowly circle Jag.

“Cem, don’t do this.” said Jag, his tone slightly weak.

“What’s the matter, Jag? Are you in pain? Are you suffering? Hmph… you don’t know true pain and suffering like I do.” said Cem.

Cem stopped in front of Jag and looked down at him.

“You see…after that day when the Alliance attacked the Chiss fleet and took Alexandria’s life...the only thing I wanted was pay back and I knew I didn’t have the resources to get it………I spent years prowling this damned galaxy feeling nothing but anger, hurt, and hopelessness… But then one day, I heard a voice.” said Cem.

He paused, smiled, and added. “The voice…of Saeon.”

Jag frowned, looked up at his brother, and replied. “Saeon?”

“Yes. Saeon: Lord of the Heartless and Master of the Dark Arts. He opened my eyes and enlightened me of my true destiny……… My destiny was to be one of his mighty servants and help him bring forth the end of this galaxy. Every star, every planet and moon…must be eradicated.” said Cem.

Jag slowly shook his head. “This doesn’t sound like you, Cem… What has happened to you? You were once Zawn’s assistant and craved nothing but peace.”

“The Cem you knew is long gone. His wimpy essence and beliefs died with Alexandria… And as for Zawn…he is a delusional imbecile and will be dealt with very soon.”

There was a brief silence but Jag broke it by saying: “You’re planning on assassinating Zawn.”

“And I will succeed in doing so. It’s all part of the great plan… And I can’t wait for it to commence. This galaxy and its little wars have taken the life of my fiancée...as well as the lives of the only siblings that ever cared about me.” said Cem

“I care about you, Cem. I always have! Wynssa also cares! When you disappeared we were all hurt. We thought-“ said Jag.

“It’s too late, brother!” snapped Cem. “The damage is done. This galaxy made my life hell and now I’m back…reborn to send everyone in this worthless hellhole to oblivion… These governments and citizens wanted war so badly. Well, now I’m going to give them one…the final war. On the day the Chiss and the Alliance battle, the reaper known as the Galactus will come forth and take all their lives… Everyone will be eradicated.”

“No.”

“Yes… And luckily me, Saeon, and the rest of the servants aren’t alone.”

Cem raised his hand and a few feet away, five neo heartless rose from the ground. A look of shock crept up on Jag’s face as he stared at the neo heartless.

“What in the name of…” Jag murmured.

“Impressive aren’t they? They are called the Heartless…creatures of pure destruction and darkness. The superb thing about them is that they’re pretty much not alive. They don’t have organs, blood, or a soul. They’re like droids except they’re made of pure darkness.” said Cem.

Grayish energy suddenly appeared around Cem’s right hand.

“And they only obey those who wield the Dark Arts.” said Cem.

Jag looked at Cem’s energy covered hand then turned his gaze to Cem’s eyes.

“Cem… I don’t know what this Saeon has done to you. But you weren’t meant to be like this!” said Jag.

“Hmph. I’ve embraced my destiny, Jag… Now embrace yours.” Cem said in a dark tone.

He pointed his left hand at Jag and a ball of gray energy shot out of his hand and nailed Jag in the chest. Jag growled and gritted his teeth as his body began to form into gray stone.

Jag looked at Cem and said in a very weak tone. “Don’t…let…this lust for revenge…control you.”

As soon as he finished, his lips, eyes, face, and hair turned to stone. Jag’s body was now nothing more than a stone statue.

Cem looked at Jag’s stony form for a couple of seconds then crouched down and said. “So tempting… I could just destroy you right now by blasting you to pieces… But I think I’ll eliminate your wife and child first then bring you out of that stone prison.”

Cem paused then added. “Their passing will hurt you. Then you’ll want death…and oh, will I gladly grant your wish.”

“Jag!!” cried Jaina.

Cem stood up, turned around, and saw Jaina, Kyp, Zekk, and a green Rodian jedi knight (Grakus) running towards him. Cem’s face showed little emotion as he gazed at the four approaching jedi.

Jaina, Kyp, Zekk, and Grakus stopped a few meters away from Cem and the neo heartless. Kyp, Zekk, and Grakus were slightly taken back by the sight of the neo heartless. Jaina however focused her gaze on Jag’s stone form. A frown formed on her face when she turned her gaze to Cem.

“What did you do to him!!” demanded Jaina.

“Temper, temper, temper. We don’t want you go all Sithly, now do we. Even though it wouldn’t make much of a difference against me and the Heartless.” said Cem.

“So that’s what those things are called?” said Zekk, staring at the five neo heartless.

“Well they definitely look something out of a nightmare… or something from one of those really cheesy horror holomovies.” Kyp replied to Zekk.

“Why are you doing this, Cem!?” asked Jaina.

“You know this guy?” Zekk asked Jaina.

“We’ve never met directly. Though I have seen several photos of her. And it seems my brother has kept her well informed about me.” said Cem.

“He showed me a few holoclips.” replied Jaina.

“Did he now… It’s actually quite comical if you think about it. You and I have never met and yet you left a scar on me that can never be healed.” said Cem.

“Huh?” responded Jaina.

“Nineteen years ago, the Alliance fleet launched a sneak attack against a group of Chiss star destroyers. During this attack, it was reported that a certain squadron led by a certain female jedi did most of the damage… On one of the ships that the squadron destroyed was a woman…a kind and intelligent woman who was soon going to be married. The person she just so happened to be engaged to was the young brother of the female jedi’s future husband.” said Cem.

A look of realization slowly appeared on Jaina’s face. Kyp and Zekk frowned as they looked from Cem to Jaina.

“As I said…it’s quite comical. The great Jedi Knight Jaina Solo…is nothing more than a cold blooded murderer.” said Cem.

“There are a lot of things I regret in my past…that day being one of them.” said Jaina.

“Well frankly, darling, I don’t really give a kriff about your regrets. The only thing I now care about is disposing of you, the Jedi, and trillions of others.” said Cem.

“Let me guess…you’re working for Saeon.” said Kyp.

Cem clapped his hands and smiled thinly.

“Fantastic detective work, Master...?” said Cem.

“Kyp Durron.” replied Kyp.

“Aw yes…Kyp Durron…the scoundrel that wiped out an entire system. As you can see, I’ve heard many stories about you. It's no wonder why Saeon wanted to recruit you. If you only accepted his offer, you would’ve made this great plan much easier.” said Cem.

“What can I say, I have this personal dislike about working with sadistic madmen.” said Kyp.

“Hmph.” responded Cem.

“Alright, Cem. Out with it…what did you to Jag?” asked Jaina.

“Can’t you read my mind?” Cem touched his forehead with his index finger. “I mean you Jedi do specialize in snooping into people’s heads.”

“Just answer the question.” said Jaina, her tone matching her deadly stare.

“Well, unless you’re completely blind, you will see that I have turned him into stone. Saeon did after all teach me very well in the Magical Arts.” said Cem.

“Magical Arts?” Grakus asked in his Rodian language.

“Aw yes, I forgot. You Jedi are oblivious when it comes to the Magical Arts.” said Cem.

“I don’t care about this magical mumbo jumbo. Just change Jag back!” Jaina demanded.

“Sorry, darling. But he will have to remain in his stone prison for a while…at least until you and my nephew are dead.” said Cem.

Jaina unhooked her lightsaber from her utility belt and activated the purple saber.

She pointed it at Cem and threatened. “If you even think of laying a finger on my son…I swear I’ll make you wish that you jumped off a 100 story building.”

“I doubt that.” said Cem, gray energy forming around his right hand.

Jaina, Kyp, Grakus, and Zekk frowned when they saw the energy developing around Cem’s hand.

“I seriously doubt that. Especially since you’re not going to live long enough to see the demise of your son and your husband.” said Cem.

Cem aimed his hand at Jaina and fired the stone spell at her.

“Jaina!” cried Zekk, rushing to Jaina.

He pushed her out of the way then cringed as the ball of gray energy struck him right in the arm. Jaina, Kyp, and Grakus looked in horror as Zekk’s entire body turned into gray stone.

“Zekk!!” Jaina cried.

“Hmph. What an imbecile. Instead of heroic, I’d call that downright stupid.” Cem said, looking at Zekk’s stony form. “Oh well.”

He aimed his blaster rifle right at Zekk and fired. In the blink of an eye, Kyp was right in front of Zekk with his lightsaber activated and deflected the blaster bolt.

Cem looked over at the five neo heartless and gave a nod. The neo heartless instantly charged at Kyp, Jaina, and Grakus. Cem, slowly taking several steps backwards, fired his blaster at Kyp.

Kyp deflected the shots then evaded a claw swipe from a neo heartless. He deflected another blaster bolt and followed through with a slice that instantly destroyed a neo heartless.

Jaina delivered a strong thrust with her lightsaber that pierced straight through the head of a charging neo heartless. Another neo heartless leaped at Jaina with its claws outstretched. Jaina jumped in the air, spun around, and followed through with a horizontal swipe that eliminated the leaping neo heartless. The moment her feet touched back on to the ground, she delivered a quick jab with her blade that took down another neo heartless.

Grakus delivered a strong slice from his yellow lightsaber that destroyed the last remaining neo heartless. The three Jedi looked at Cem and began marching towards him.

“Heartless!” cried Cem. “Come out! And snatch their hearts!”

Suddenly between Cem and the three Jedi, nine neo heartless rose out of the ground. Jaina, Kyp, and Grakus stopped and gripped their lightsabers tightly.

“How many of these things are there!?” said Jaina.

“Just like darkness, there is no end to the Heartless.” said Cem, taking six slow steps backwards. “As you can see…this nightmare is far from reaching its climax.”

The nine heartless rushed at the three Jedi. While Kyp and Grakus stood their ground, Jaina charged at the nine neo heartless. She struck one of them down with her lightsaber then just as the other eight were about to pounce her, Jaina leaped over their heads and gracefully landed behind them. She glared at Cem and began running to him. Cem fired his blaster rifle at Jaina but Jaina deflected every shot. She swung her lightsaber with grace and sliced the blaster rifle in Cem’s hand in two.

Jaina turned off her lightsaber and blocked two punches from Cem. She balled up her fist and delivered a strong punch to Cem’s jaw. Before Cem could react, Jaina whacked him in the stomach with the end of her lightsaber hilt and quickly followed through with a hard kick across Cem’s face. She then immediately performed a sweeping kick that knocked Cem to the ground.

Cem cringed and panted as he moved slowly on the ground. He looked up and saw Jaina standing over him with her purple lightsaber pointed straight at his throat.

“In the name of the Jedi Order, you are under arrest.” snarled Jaina.

“Really, darling. Tell that to the Heartless.” said Cem.

Jaina, sensing something approaching from behind, frowned, turned around, and saw two neo heartless lunging at her. She evaded one claw swipe but couldn’t dodge the other. Jaina gave out a cry as the second neo heartless’s claw sliced across her belly. Before it could attack again, Jaina reached her hand out and used the force to send the creature flying several meters backwards. The other neo heartless swiped at Jaina but she dodged the attack. With lightning speed, Jaina swung her blade and struck down the neo heartless.

Cem took advantage of the moment and quickly got up and ran away from Jaina.

Jaina glared over at him and shouted. “This is far from over, Cem!”

“For you and your son’s sake, you better pray that the Heartless kill you now.” said Cem.

He reached his hand out and a dark bluish portal appeared before him. As soon as he rushed into it, the portal instantly vanished.

Jaina sighed and turned her attention back to the neo heartless that she had force pushed. It was now crawling towards the six other neo heartless, who were engaging Kyp and Grakus in battle. Without hesitation, Jaina ran to Kyp and Grakus.

Kyp launched a flurry of fast saber swings that destroyed two neo heartless. Another neo heartless lunged at Kyp but Jaina hurled her saber like a boomerang and the blade sliced through the neo heartless before it could even touch Kyp. The purple blade flew back into Jaina’s open hand.

Jaina placed herself beside Kyp and the two gripped their weapons waiting for more neo heartless to attack. The moment Grakus struck another neo heartless down, the three remaining neo heartless just stood motionless and didn’t attempt to attack. The three Jedi frowned and stared at the three neo heartless whose antennae slowly twitched.

“Why aren’t they attacking?” Grakus asked in his Rodian language.

“I don’t know.” replied Kyp.

Suddenly, the three Jedi cringed and clutched their heads as they heard thousands of loud hissing voices through the Force.

Give ussss your hearts…we want them… Give them to usssss!!

Kyp panted as he tried to focus his mind. Through the Force, he asked. Why are you doing this?

The reply that the three Jedi received through the Force sent a shiver down their spines.

Life…light…must perish…Life…light…must perish…Perish! Perish!! Perish!! PERISH!!

Kyp, Jaina, and Grakus opened their eyes and looked at the neo heartless. Suddenly, black mist appeared around the claw of one of the neo heartless. Grakus raised his saber and charged.

“Wait, Grakus!” shouted Kyp.

Grakus swung at the neo heartless with the black mist covered claw. But the neo heartless dodged the attack by sinking into the ground. The neo heartless immediately rose out of the ground behind Grakus then leaped at the rodian Jedi. Grakus turned around and before he could strike the neo heartless landed on top of him.

Kyp and Jaina saw Grakus struggling to get the creature off and immediately went to aid him. The moment they moved, the other two neo heartless lunged at them. Jaina and Kyp quickly dodged their claw swipes and swung their lightsabers at the creatures. The two neo heartless evaporated the moment the sabers sliced into them.

They looked back at Grakus and saw the neo heartless plunge it’s black mist covered claw into Grakus’s chest. Grakus screamed as the neo heartless yanked its claw right out of his chest and leaped off of him.

“Grakus!!” Both Jaina and Kyp cried.

Black and dark bluish mist began to slowly envelope Grakus’s body. His skin turned a pale white and his screams became more like moans. Soon the black and bluish mist covered his entire body. The dark mist suddenly vanished and Grakus’s body was nowhere in sight.

Jaina and Kyp gaped at the sight. Through the Force, they didn’t feel Grakus pass away. But they did feel that something was stripped from him. They looked at the neo heartless and noticed something glowing in its claw. In its claw they saw what appeared to be glowing pink energy that was shaped like a heart and was even the size of a heart.

Black mist coursed across the glowing pink heart and in a matter of seconds, the mist completely covered it. The black mist then vanished along with the glowing pink heart. The moment it disappeared, another neo heartless rose out of the ground. Jaina and Kyp cringed and clutched their heads once again when they heard the hissing voices through the Force.

Life…light…must perish! Life…light…must perish!! Must send…life…light…to oblivion!!

Jaina and Kyp, their eyes slightly widened, looked at the two neo heartless creeping towards them.

“Oookay…this is getting creepy.” said Jaina.

The two neo heartless leaped in the air and hovered for a second. Their dark energy bodies span and suddenly morphed into black razor sharp buzz saws. The
