	Here's the next chapter. I hope you all like it . It's more dialogue driven, but it's quite important. ---------------------------------------------------------- ---------------------------------------------------------- ---------------------------------------------------------- CHAPTER 8: Galactus Prime/Galactus Alpha “He disappeared into a WHAT!?” Jysella said as she, Allana, and Ben strolled down one of the long hallways of the Academy. “A portal…strange, I know…but, that’s what happened.” said Allana. “No, no, no, no that’s a little beyond strange…that’s more like weird, freaky.” Jysella said as she folded her arms across her chest. “Yes, but so is planets disappearing without a trace.” Ben said as he held the disk up to his eyes. “You think this has something to do with the Pollis Massa incident?” Jysella said to Ben. “More than likely.” said Ben. He paused then looked at Allana and asked. “Allana, did the man tell you anymore about this Saeon and this supposed weapon he’s building?” Allana shook her head and replied. “No. Everything I told you is it. The man didn’t even give a location on where it’s being built. All he said was, was that there is a man named Saeon, he’s building a powerful weapon, and he wants this…Kaiburr Crystal so he can finish it.” Ben frowned, looked back at the disk, and responded. “Hmm.” Allana folded her arms and said. “There was something else he said that puzzled me…he said something about that he had to warn the Keyblade Masters, and that their galaxy is also in danger.” “Keyblade Masters? Heh, sounds like something from a fairy tale.” said Jysella. “Still…it is something we should take seriously. The Yuuzhan Vong proved to us that life does exist outside this galaxy.” said Ben. Jysella smirked and replied. “Yeah, and look how that turned out.” “I don’t know. By the way the man mentioned the Keyblade Masters, they sound more like heroes to me.” Allana said with a smile. “Yeah, but can we can really trust what this man says? I mean we all felt two dark presences. And the man who talked to you was obviously one of them.” Jysella said to Allana. Ben looked over at Jysella and said. “Yes but the darkness coming from the man wasn’t that strong. The other one however had an immense amount of darkness along with some other type of power.” Jysella stopped which caused Ben and Allana to stop. Jysella looked at Ben and Allana and said. “Either way, the other Jedi are talking about it and the Council is probably going to hold a meeting regarding it. And I don’t know about you but I have a hard time trusting anyone who has even the slightest bit of darkness in them.” “I know.” said Ben. “But under current circumstances, it appears we’re going to have put a little trust in what the man said… And before we go to the Council about any of this, it’s probably best that we see what’s on this disk.” ------------------------------------------------------ Ben sat his holopad on the living room table and slid the blue disk inside the disk compartment, which was located on the side of the holopad. He pressed one of the holopad’s buttons then strolled over to the couch and sat next to Jysella. Allana, Ben, and Jysella stared intently at the holographic image that appeared. The image was of a spiral galaxy and next to it said ‘GFA-18’. The image disappeared and was suddenly replaced with the image of a strange looking ship. The ship was emerald green and was shaped like a cone. On top of the cone ship was a dome. Suddenly the words ‘Galactus Prime’ appeared next to the ship. The image then disappeared and a listing of the ship’s dimensions appeared. The three Jedi looked closely and saw that according to the listing, the ship dubbed ‘Galactus Prime’ wasn’t the size of a Death Star but it would still make a star destroyer and a super star destroyer look small. The listing vanished and was replaced with an image of the dome on top of the Galactus Prime. It then showed what was inside the dome. Within the dome was what looked like a massive telescope. Suddenly the image showed the inside components of the telescope. There were several strange looking components, but what caught the three Jedi’s attention were the numerous amount of crystals joined together at the bottom portion of the telescope’s interior. And there was one special looking crystal in the center of all the crystals. The words ‘magicite’ and ‘materia’ appeared next to the crystals. But the word ‘Kaiburr Crystal’ appeared next to the center crystal. The whole image then disappeared and was replaced by an image of what looked like a vortex or portal. Suddenly in the image, the Galactus Prime quickly appeared out of the portal and the portal instantly vanished. It showed the dome portion open up revealing the telescope. It dawned on the three Jedi that the telescope thing was in fact ‘the weapon’. Once the whole dome was open, the tip of the weapon glowed and it fired a giant beam. An image of the beam appeared and it showed the tip of the beam form into what looked like a tidal wave. The wave got bigger and longer and it continued to grow. An image of the spiral galaxy appeared again and at the edge of the galaxy was a thin line. As the line moved it got longer and longer…and everything in it’s path disappeared. All three Jedi watched intently as every shiny star in the image of the galaxy blinked out of sight in the wake of the thin line. They immediately knew that the thin line was the energy wave created by the weapon’s beam. In a minute, everything in the galaxy was gone. There was no stars or anything. Just nothing. The entire holographic projection ended and disappeared. There was a long moment of silence in the room. Ben, Jysella, and Allana exchanged glances. “It appears we have a bigger problem on our hands than we thought.” Jysella said as she leaned back on the couch. ---------------------------------------------- Sora, Riku, and Kairi stared intently at the holographic image before them. The image showed a red cone shaped ship dubbed ‘Galactus Alpha’ appearing out of a giant portal. The portal vanished and that’s when an image of the dome portion of the Galactus Alpha appeared. The three friends watched as the dome opened up to reveal the weapon that resembled a telescope. As soon as the dome was fully open, the tip of the weapon began to glow. They suddenly saw the weapon fire a massive beam. An image of the beam appeared and it showed the tip of the beam form into what looked like a tidal wave. The wave got wider and larger. Just then an image of their galaxy, which on the hologram was dubbed ‘KH-Titus’, appeared and on the edge was a thin line. As the line moved, it got longer and longer. And everything in its path vanished. Every star shown in the galaxy blinked out of sight as the line passed through. In a matter of seconds, the entire galaxy was gone. The image faded and the holographic projection ended. The three friends sat in silence. Sora and Kairi looked at each other with grave expressions on their face. Riku just frowned and leaned back in his seat. “I guess this is that plan to end all plans that Mortimer was talking about.” said Riku. Kairi slowly shook her head and said in an almost whispered tone. “A galaxy-destroying weapon… My goodness, do you really think it’s possible?” “Well, the Cornerstone of Light does harness an amount of magical energy of unknown proportion. Plus, Saeon is also going to be using magicite and materia, so…yeah, it’s possible.” replied Sora. “And let’s not forget about this Kaiburr Crystal you mentioned. He’s after that as well.” said Riku. “Yeah and who knows how much magical energy it has.” Sora said as he rubbed the back of his head. “Probably the same amount as the cornerstone.” replied Kairi. She paused for a second then added. “But what I’d like to know is where’s he building these Galactus ships? And how is he getting all this magicite and materia?” “Well, he can easily smuggle the materia out of the Backwater Asteroid Belt. The magicite, however, is questionable because it can only be found in the mines on Ivalice.” said Sora. “Well if we hear any reports of missing magicite, at least we know who’s behind it. As for where the ships are being built… it’s obviously not within the galaxy. The hologram showed the Galactus Alpha coming through a portal, which means it’s either being built in another dimension… or somewhere outside the galaxy.” said Riku. All three of them sighed and stared at the center of the table that was located in the lounging area in Riku’s quarters. There was a brief silence until Kairi broke it. “So what do we do?” asked Kairi. “Well, at the moment, there’s nothing we can do about the Galactus Alpha or the Kaiburr Crystal. But what we can do is alert King Mickey about the cornerstone, and tell Squall and the gang about all this.” said Sora. “Well then, what are we waiting for?” Riku said as he stood up. “The longer we sit and do nothing, the closer Saeon comes to making his plan a reality.” --------------------------------------------- The Court of Valor was truly large and eloquent in design. There were five large windows around the room that offered a breath taking view of the city of Zanarkand. The silver tiled floor shined as the sunlight hit them. And high above on top of the rectangular ceiling was an exquisite painting of a flower garden and a spring. It was here in the Court of Valor where Squall held all his important meetings. In the center of the room was a shiny silver table shaped like a heart and standing around it were Sora, Kairi, Riku, Mickey, Musashi, Squall, Merlin, and Aerith. Sora, Kairi and Riku showed Squall, King Mickey, Musashi, and everyone else in the room the hologram. When the hologram ended, the whole room was silent. Squall folded his arms and asked. “Who gave you this again?” “A man named Tyson. Kairi and I met him down the street near Tifa’s Café. He was dressed in black, and while I didn’t trust him at first, he appeared to be quite honest in the things he said.” said Sora. Squall frowned and looked over to his right at 28-year-old Aerith Gaensborough and the wise old wizard, Merlin. They both returned his gaze. Squall looked back at Sora and said. “You said you met him down the street near Tifa’s Seventh Haven?” “Yeah.” Sora replied as he put his hands behind his head. “Where did he go after that?” asked Squall. “Well, he ran further down the street and out of sight.” said Kairi. She paused before asking. "Why do you ask?” Squall didn’t reply instead Aerith answered. “Recently, we got a report from the city guard.” Aerith said in her usual gentle tone. “A couple of blocks from Tifa’s Seventh Haven, the guards found three dead bodies in an alley. Two of them were city guards. The other…was a man clothed in black with a cape and a hood.” A Kairi looked at Aerith for a second then looked down with a sad expression. “Tyson.” Kairi whispered. “Hmm… Very suspicious if you ask me.” Merlin said as he rubbed his long white beard. The wise old man wore a long light blue wizard’s robe, a pointy light blue hat, and a small pair of glasses. His origins are unknown but he has assisted Squall and everyone in Radiant Garden for many years now. Merlin paused then continued. “A man gives you important information like this then winds up dead soon after. It’s as if someone found out that his or her dark secret had been revealed.” “The man on the roof.” Sora said with a glare. “Huh?” said Squall. Sora looked at Squall and said. “Before Tyson retreated down the street, him and I saw a man on a roof in the distance. Whoever it was had Tyson very afraid…and whoever it was is obviously Tyson’s killer.” “Did you see where the man went?” asked Squall. “No…unfortunately I lost sight of him as soon as Tyson left. But one thing’s for sure, he moves very fast.” said Sora. “Tell me about it.” Kairi replied as she folded her arms. “You saw him too?” asked Musashi. “Yes…well…at least, I think I did…I don’t know, I just remember seeing someone dart across the rooftops. The person moved so fast that he was like a…phantom or something.” said Kairi. “Gawsh. This is getting kind of spooky.” said Mickey. “One terror ends, a new one begins…that’s the story of our lives. First, Maleficent… and now this.” replied Musashi. Musashi looked at Sora and Kairi and asked. “Did, um, Tyson give you the name of the person creating the Galactus Alpha?” “Oh yeah! We should’ve told you from the start… The name of the mastermind of all this is Saeon.” said Sora. A grave expression suddenly appeared on Merlin's face. Everyone else just frowned or gave a nod at Sora's reply. “Saeon huh?” said Squall. “Well he obviously means business if he plans on building a galaxy destroying weapon.” “Actually, he meant business a long time ago.” said Riku. “What do you mean?” asked Musashi. “During the Balamb assault, we found out that Saeon was the one who was actually controlling the Heartless. He just sent them to pretend to be Maleficent’s allies.” said Riku. “What!!?” exclaimed King Mickey Musashi and Squall looked at each other with frowns on their faces. They then looked back at Riku. “So you’re saying that whole army was actually under the orders of Saeon?” said Musashi. “Yes and that’s not all.” replied Riku. “Saeon also sent a lackey of his named Mortimer to destroy Maleficent…and well, Mortimer succeeded on that.” “Mortimer!!!??” said King Mickey. “As in Mortimer Mouse!!??” “Well, he did look like a mouse so…yeah.” said Sora. King Mickey was silent for a second. He folded his arms and said. "This is bad." “You know this Mortimer?” Musashi asked King Mickey. “Sadly…I do. And if he’s working with Saeon, it can only mean more trouble.” said Mickey. King Mickey paused, looked at them all, and spoke again. “But no matter what, we must not let them get the Cornerstone of Light!” “Yeah, if he does he’ll be able to complete the Galactus Alpha.” said Squall. “And judging from its dimensions, it would take a lot of fire power and a massive amount of star ships to bring it down.” “All I know is, is that if he gets the cornerstone and finishes this thing, we’ll be literally facing a galactic Armageddon. The news of this thing being built alone would send a shock wave of panic across our worlds.” said Musashi. “Which is why we got to keep this under wraps for now.” said Squall. Merlin, staring out the window, whispered to himself. “So this is where your path has lead you, Saeon… this is what you now desire most.” Everyone looked over at Merlin, who was now slowly backing away from the table. “Merlin?” asked Sora. “Merlin…are you okay?” Aerith asked in a concerned tone. Merlin looked at Aerith and everyone else. He stared at them all for a second then said to Aerith. “Yes, my dear…I’m quite fine…I… I just need to go lie down for a while…excuse me.” Without saying another word, Merlin turned and strolled out of the Court of Valor. “Hey, what’s up with Merlin?” asked Sora. “Gawsh…I’m not sure.” said Mickey. “I’ve never seen him like that before.” said Aerith. “Hey, you don’t think he’s having a heart attack do you?” asked Riku. “Riku!!” Sora and Kairi shouted at the same time with frowns on their faces. Riku shrugged and replied. “Hey, you can’t be too sure.” “Merlin will be fine…he’s a tough old guy like Cid.” said Squall. Aerith giggled and said. “I’m glad Cid wasn’t around to hear you say that.” “Yeah, he’d go into one of those cursing fits of his.” said Squall. He paused then added. “Anyway…back to the topic.” He looked at Kairi and Sora and asked. “Did Tyson tell you anything else?” “Actually he did.” said Sora. “He said that Saeon is creating not one but two Galactus ships. He plans to use one of them on the GFA-18 galaxy…but in order to complete it, he wants this thing called the Kaiburr Crystal.” “Oh no!!!!” cried King Mickey. “That’s terrible news!! If he’s going after the Kaiburr Crystal, it means the Heartless must be there as well…and if I’m correct, the Jedi Knights are unaware of what the Heartless are and what they are capable of.” “Wait a minute.” said Riku. “YOU know about the Jedi Knights, the Kaiburr Crystal, and the GFA-18 galaxy!?” “I sure do…and it’s a long story.” said Mickey. “I’ll explain along the way.” King Mickey then began marching towards the exit. Everyone just looked at him with confused looks on their faces. “Wait, where are you going?” asked Riku. “To make preparations.” Mickey said over his shoulder. “Things are far graver than I thought.” “Preparations??” said Riku. He looked at Sora and Kairi and they just shrugged. Riku looked back at King Mickey and asked. “Preparations for what!?” ---------------------------------------- Saeon gazed out his quarter’s window in the dimly lit space station. The circular space station hovered over the large crystal planet that Saeon named ‘Argeddon’. Argeddon was one of the few planets that actually existed outside a galaxy. It circled around a single blue star and was the second and only other planet in the small solar system. Below on the planet’s surface were dozens upon dozens of factories where hundreds of heartless worked day and night constructing gummi ship pieces and other special parts. And above the planet’s atmosphere, hovering near the circular space station, were the two technological titans that were going to make Saeon’s grand plan a reality. The Galactus Prime and the Galactus Alpha. Crawling all over the mammoth ships were hundreds of Neo-Heartless placing more gummi ship pieces on to the ships. On top of the ships were the weapons that once completed would have the power of a god. The Neo-Heartless just continued to crawl over the weapon and place the needed magicite and materia into both weapon’s interior. Saeon looked at his two wonders with a straight face. Just then, his door opened and the Bothan named Yor Cromwell entered. Like all Bothans, Yor was covered with fur. His fur was brown, his eyes were orange, and he wore a red shirt and black pants. Saeon didn’t even attempt to turn around and look at his pawn. He just continued to stare at his ships. “Did they install the portal gummis?” asked Saeon. “Not yet, my lord.” said Yor. “They are still constructing them…I must say, though, I’m still fascinated over these gummi pieces. They are unlike any ship piece I’ve ever seen before.” “I don’t care about your fascination…I want those portal gummis completed…and they better be the right size.” said Saeon. “Yes, my lord…I’ll make sure to instruct the Heartless to work quicker.” said Yor. “Good…now get out.” Saeon snarled. Yor quickly backed away and exited the room. Just as Yor exited, Mortimer came strolling in. “Hey there, boss.” Mortimer said with a grin. “How’s things cracken with the construction?” “Everything is going according to plan. Very soon, the Galactus Prime and the Galactus Alpha will be complete…and we will have a weapon that will obliterate all life in a galaxy.” said Saeon. “Yeah, about that, boss.” Mortimer said as he scratched the back of his head. “Um…are you sure those things are going to be able to accomplish that? I mean, it seems a little impossible don’t think?” “Of course.” said a boyish voice from behind. Mortimer turned around and saw Venvarra enter out of a dark bluish portal. As soon as he was fully out of the portal, the portal vanished. Venvarra looked at Mortimer and added. “To inferior mind like yours all things too grand in scale seem ridiculous and impossible. But to one with superior intellect and vision, all things impossible…seem possible.” Mortimer frowned and put his hands on his waist. “You know, kid, I think you’re too smart for your own good.” said Mortimer. “There’s no such thing as being too smart. Too stupid, however, well…you obviously proved that to be existent.” Venvarra said with a smirk. “You want me to slit your throat or something!?” Mortimer said with gritted teeth. “Oh please…I’d knock on you on the ground before you even knew what hit you.” Venvarra said as he folded his arms. “Enough.” said Saeon. He looked over and stared daggers at them both. “Or I’ll kill you both… And trust me when I say it would not be humane.” Mortimer and Venvarra stared at Saeon for a second with frightened expression on their faces. They immediately obeyed his order and ceased arguing. “So, um…” said Mortimer. “Are the Heartless going to build any more ships like battle cruisers and stuff like that?” Saeon looked back at the window and replied. “Battle cruisers and a fleet are not going to be needed.” “Uh, wait a minute, boss." Mortimer said in a tone showing his unease. "Not needed? What if those stupid heroes put up a fight or something?” “One Galactus alone has the strength of an indestructible fleet. With the amount of torpedoes, laser cannons, blaster turrets, and weapon types on the Galactus, no fleet in either galaxy would be able to withstand the might of the Galactus…and with the power of a god on top of it, it truly is the perfect ship.” said Saeon. “A ship perfect for superior beings.” Venvarra said with a smile. “Wow.” said Mortimer. There was a long silence as the three stared at the two Galactus ships. Mortimer soon broke the silence. “I’m hungry.” said Mortimer. Venvarra frowned and looked over at Mortimer. Saeon’s face darkened. He didn’t even attempt to look at Mortimer. “You are standing before two of the greatest wonders ever built…and all you can think about is food!!?” Venvarra said to Mortimer. “Hey, you can’t conquer the cosmos on an empty stomach.” Mortimer said as he folded his arms. “Now…where’s the Gouda?” Venvarra stared daggers at Mortimer. “Please, Saeon…in the name of all that is evil, please let me kill him.” Venvarra begged with a venomous tone. “Unfortunately, I need him alive.” said Saeon. “You darn right you need me alive.” said Mortimer. “Now once I eat my Gouda, I’ll be fully ready to terminate some good guys.” Mortimer turned and quickly exited the room. Venvarra glared at the door where Mortimer had just exited. He then looked back at Saeon and asked. “Why do we keep such idiocy around us?” Saeon sighed. “Despite Mortimer’s idiocy, he still has a cold and murderous heart... You have no idea what he’s capable of… And what wonderful atrocities he committed in the past.” said Saeon. "Hmph." replied Venvarra. Saeon turned, looked right at Venvarra, and asked. “Anyway…how’s your progress in retrieving the Kaiburr Crystal?” “Not good. I’ve already checked a planet and a moon in Chiss Space, but found nothing.” Venvarra said with a frown. “Did you have the Heartless destroy the world and moon?” asked Saeon. “Yes.” said Venvarra. “Well, cease with the planetary destruction…we can’t have them too alerted…and at all costs we have to keep the Chiss and the Alliance divided.” said Saeon. “What’s the big worry?” asked Venvarra. Saeon, an emotionless expression on his face, stared at Venvarra for a few seconds. He then turned and looked back at the Galactus Prime and Galactus Alpha. “As much as I know the Galactus could destroy them all…I don’t want to take any chances. With them divided, it makes destroying the galaxy much easier.” said Saeon. “Well, what about the Federation and Ivalice in the KH-Titus galaxy?” asked Venvarra. Saeon smiled thinly and said. “They won’t be a problem. Empress Ashe and Empress Maria are stubborn and blinded by rage…those two empires will remain divided.” “And KH-Titus will be like sheep to the slaughter.” Venvarra said with a smile. Venvarra paused then looked down with a slight frown and asked. “By the way, Lord Saeon… I heard the magicite comes from Ivalice? They aren’t alerted that we are taking some of their magicite, are they?” Saeon smirked. “Rage clouds the vision of Ivalice…and Ambassador Larsa is so caught up in a peace dream that will never come to pass, that none of them know of the Heartless taking the magicite.” “Perfect. Now what are we going to do about the Jedi and the Keyblade Masters?” asked Venvarra. “We won’t have to worry about those inferior beings too much. We can just have a little… fun with them. And thanks to Tyson…the game is going to be more interesting… They all know about our plans.” said Saeon. “What!?" “Not to worry…if I know those four wretched Keyblade Masters, they will try to divide and protect both galaxies.” “Four? I thought there were only three.” “That’s understandable. Three of them are the most active. The fourth isn’t as active.” “How do you know there’s a fourth?” Saeon didn’t respond immediately. He waited a few seconds until answering. “I did some research by searching Organization XIII’s files in Castle Oblivion… and I found out there are indeed four and only four Keyblade Masters.” said Saeon. “So…who’s the fourth?” asked Venvarra. “A girl named Kairi.” Saeon clinched his fist and added. “But it doesn’t really matter…like the Jedi Knights and every inferior being, all four masters…will fall.” ---------------------------------------------------- ---------------------------------------------------- ---------------------------------------------------- Well, that was the end of Chapter 8. I hoped you all liked it. And now you all know who the other keyblade master is. Anyway, I'll be working on Chapter 9 shortly. I have a little trivia question for you readers, here it is: Which actor in Hollywood was in both the KH series and the Star Wars Saga? But some of the events that happen are sort of similiar to FFXII's plot. I am going to try to keep all the FFXII's characters in character. And as you can you see, Venvarra and Mortimer are on the same side...but truly dislike each other. I'm working on Chapter 9. I'm kind of confused on what I should call the chapter. But I can say that King Mickey has traveled to GFA-18 galaxy once before and knows only one Jedi Master that is in the Council. 	Just catching up on my readings. Chapters 7 & 8 were very good. Glad to know the Jedi and the keybladers know about the weapons, though it makes me wonder if this Saeon is some kind of madman since he thinks he'll still get away with it and toy with the good guys as he does. “Please, Saeon…in the name of all that is evil, please let me kill him.” That was funny.
