This queen may be dead, but they have a history of making new queens whenever the previous one dies. This was a decent victory, but I imagine we still have a ways to go until the threat is gone.
Great update and I can't wait to see what happens next.

Yup, but they've never dealt with Jedi before, and Mara and Luke are top of the line It'd have to be a very big surprise to catch them napping LOL

DARTH_MU: It's probably that Mara's simply too strong in the Force for the Borg to handle. After all, Tionne managed to fight them off, too.
Jade_eyes: I figured you'd like that post!
divapilot: Never any doubt in your mind, eh?
Petra: I wouldn't say things are over yet. Luke and Mara still need to get off the cube. And just because the Queen is dead doesn't mean the hive is going to go immediately.
Kara: Luke and Mara may have taken care of her for now, but that doesn't mean she won;t return. And next time, she may not be so accomodating.
Clockwork: Good news for us, bad news for the Borg.
Mara: As you say it isn't over yet.
Ultima: Yes, there's always that redundancy with them, isn't there?
rancor: Good question, for which there's no simple answer.
Leona: To quote Han, "Easy? You call that easy?"
tannim: I'd imagine that our cybernetic "friends" still have a few tricks up their collective sleeves. Did I just make a Borg joke?
Jade_eyes: Trying to fool a Skywalker...nope, not even gonna try.
Okay, here comes the next post!
"I still don’t like the feeling," Kell said over his private comm channel with Runt. "How are we supposed to be able to trust these guys? I've always thought of Fel as the enemy."
"We understand he once fought for the New Republic, before returning to the Empire."
"No doubt taking our best training practices with him," Kell said. "Might explain how he's been able to stay alive so long."
"He's also a brilliant flyer," Runt said. "We have studied holos of his performances both against and with Rogue Squadron."
"Fire things up, Spikes," came the voice of Soontir Fel. It sounded so calm, so collected. "Call in," he said. The various pilots, the first four of whom had that same cultured Imperial accent as Fel, called in their status by the numbers.
"Wraith, er Spike Five, four green and ready."
"You'd do well to keep your current call number in mind, Spike Five," Fel said, and Kell could just pick up a hint to reproach.
"Sorry, Spike Lead. Just used to something else, I'm afraid."
"Understood, Spike Five. This is going to be a bit unusual." The rest of the calls went as expected, though the pilots from Wes's unit seemed a little out of sorts. If he's been pulling the same kind of pranks on them that he did as a Wraith…
"Spike Squadron, Launch," came Kenth Hamner's voice. Kenth was handling coordination duties, keeping in touch with his fellow Jedi through the Force. When the plan had been proposed, Kell had his doubts. But those would have to be put aside. For right now, he needed to keep his focus on his flying.
As the X-Wing emerged from the hanger bay of the Errant Venture, Kell saw the Borg cube hanging before him, huge, black, and imposing. It doesn't look like we've done much of anything to it, he thought. And now that the Skywalkers are aboard, do we really want to blow it up?
"Leader, Five," Kell said. "What's our target?"
"Five, Leader. Two Flight is to attack the cube using whatever torpedoes you still have left. Three Flight will follow, using lasers, and the One Flight will deliver the final punch."
Of course, Kell thought. You're going to do what you can to take all the glory. Well, you can have it. Just as long as this plan hastens the Borg's departure from our space.
"Five, look at the readings on the cube," came Runt's voice. It wasn't the pilot mentality, Kell knew that one all too well. No, this sounded more like Runt's student mind. Kell turned his attentions to the sensor board.
"I'm afraid I don’t see whatever it is you see, Six."
"The fluctuations. The cube is turning inward, not outward."
"You mean they're licking their wounds instead of paying attention to us," Kell said.
"Right."
"Then we hit them now. Two Flight, on me. Let's give them a little something to warm them up."
+++++++++++
That's all for now. I'll try and be on time with my post next week.
Force be with you,
Tych_sel

Well, well, well, the Borg are in for some serious trouble. Let's see them fare on multiple fronts. I hope they get their collective asses kicked.

Super job on both posts! I was afraid for Mara for a moment but she did not disappoint(gee that looks misspelled, yet I know that it is not). The cube turning inside itself? Could the internal trouble more serious than the external trouble. I would think so for the time being. Great job and thanks.
