	okey pwner, heres the beggining of the fic you been w8tin 4! Basically, this is the prolouge, explaining whats happening in the Halo universe. enjoy! i even spellchecked it myself! (be sure to ignore bad punctuation and spelling) usual rules, i dont own either universe, i am just using them as my toy soldiers. PROLOUGE War. That was the reason for the creation of the gigantic superweapons. As a last resort, not to let the Flood win, the Forerunners had created the Halo's. Eventually, the time came, and they were used, killing all sentient life in the galaxy. With one unforeseen side effect. The Flood wern't Sentient. Eventually, the bodies the Flood had possessed rotted and died, but the parasitic larvea lived on. Unable to travel through space, as they could only use machinery with the hosts original knowledge, which they lost when thier hosts died, they became stupid and stuck, be it on the rings or on a few small planets, they were stuck. Of course, all species mutate over the years, and one particular flood mutated the most. This Flood was called Gravemind. He lived on, throughout the years, becoming cleverer, as other Flood died, but never becoming intelligent enough to create technolodgy. Millions of years passed, and the Flood lived on, with thier leader, Gravemind. But then something happened. Intelligent life came to the rings, and the few planets where the Flood lived. The Flood nourished, becoming intelligentish, once again. The Flood new that if the Halo's were activated again, they would become unintelligent again. So they attempted to stop the rings being activated. They failed. A group of sworn enemies, Humans and Covenant, had joined forces against another group, also calling themselfs Covenant. They were called Brutes. The Brutes activated the rings, and despite all attempts to stop them, the rings fired, blasting all intelligent life into oblivion. With one small problem. When the rings had fired the first time, they had killed all life, instantly. But over time, something went wrong with one of them. And as all of the rings were interconnected, when one fired, the overs would do exactly the same thing as the one that fired, even if it was not programmed. The thing that had gone wrong, was that one peice of vital equipment had malfunctioned, causing a massive slipspace wormhole. A wormhole that sucked all intelligent life in, and whatever they were attached to. People on Earth, or any planet, at home, or wherever, unfortunately were not enough to pull the planet into the wormhole, or even move it, and were all crushed against ceilings, or sucked into space, where they died, and just floated, helpless, in space. Fortunatly for space marines and such, their bodies could move ships, and suck the ships into the wormhole, with them. Eventually, everything that had some form of air to bring with them was sucked into the wormhole, and everybody else was left, dead. That was the end of all inteligent life in the milky way. 	Just to let you people know whats happening in the SW universe atm. The powerfull Wookie Chewbacca is dead, a death brought on by a new threat to the Galaxy; the Yuuzhan Vong. The first Wave of Yuuzhan vong has been defeated. Han Solo Mourns, along with the rest of his family, over the death of Chewbacca. 	ok, optemistic date for coverart is 18th june... so here is chapter 1! Chapter 1. "AHHHH!" The Chief slammed into the roof, his body in pain, crushing against his metal suit. The suit was stuck to the ceiling, like a magnet, and the Grunt he had been sneaking up on had woken up, also being crushed into the ceiling. it was squealing in pain. The Chief looked to the right, pulling against the magnatism as hard as he could, untill his head slammed onto the other side, so he was looking towards the right, out of the viewport. Before he blacked out from the excrutiating pain, he saw stars whizzing past, hundreds of times faster than the speed of light. He thought he saw a human space station, equipped with a MAC gun, shoot past, but he couldnt be sure. he thought he heard Cortana, screaming in pain, riding the force that was pulling at him, shoot past. And then it all went black. *************************************************************************************** The first thing the Chief noticed when he woke up was that he was staring a Grunt in the face. Startled, he scrambled to his feet, looking for his rifle. Before he could locate it, he noticed that the Grunt was out cold, and not showing any signs of waking up soon. Locating his rifle in the far corner of the Entrance bay, through which he had come, he ran towards it. When he reached it, he rolled against the wall, so nothing could get him from behind, and surveyed the area. There was no noise, and nothing was moving. Relieved, the Chief got to his feet. He walked over to the Grunt, and brought the rifle down on its head, killing it. 30 meters away, across the Entrance bay, there was a massive door, big enough to fit a Scorpion tank and a Warthog, side by side. The Chief raised his rifle, moving slowly towards the door, listening for any movement but his own. Finally reaching the door, the Chief pressed himself against the wall beside it, and hit the access button. With an ancient groan, the door came to life, sliding away to reveal a massive Hangar bay, packed with hundreds of Covenant ships, Banshees and Dropships, and hundreds of thousands of Orbital Insertion Pods, used for transporting Covenant troops groundside. Also, the hanger bay was packed with Brutes, Jackels and Drones. The Chiefs biggest problem was that they were all beggining to awaken. Swearing under his breath, the Chief quickly surveyed the hanger, looking for a door. If he didnt find one, he would be trapped, with no way out and a very low supply of ammo. He spotted one, about 100 meters across the hanger, on the left side. The closest Brute shook his head to clear it, and began to get up... this was the Chiefs only chance. Leaping into action, the Chief ran towards the Brute, bringing the rifle down on its head, killing it silently. Other Covenant were also stirring, beginning to awaken. The Chief could do nothing but run. He reached the door, just as the Covenant were getting up, and beggining to look around, and slammed his hand into the button. the door slid open, quite fast, and before he knew it, he was on the other side, and the door was shut. And he was unseen. He looked around, to find that he was in a dimly lit corridoor, long and thin, about 20 meters long. there was one door and a button at the end. The Chief flicked on his helmet light on, and began to move down the corridoor. He reached the end, and slammed his hand onto the button, and the door slid open. The first thing he noticed was that the room was well lit, and he didnt need his light. The second thing he noticed was the massive viewport on the other end of the room, giving a clear view of space, and the small group of X shaped Spacecraft flying alongside the massive Forerunner ship. *************************************************************************************** A lone group of Xwings were hovering in space, about 1 Parasec away from Dubrillion, scanning the area for any remaining Coralskippers. "Okay, Green squadron, theres nothing out here. Power up your hyperdrives, im sending you the co-ordinates now." Said Green leader, over the Comm. "Wait sir, im getting something on my sensors... Its an Anomoly of some kind, the computers never seen anything like it." Commed Green 7. "My sensors have got it too sir, they cant identify it... Sith, the scanners are going crazy! Theyre reporting multiple unknown contacts, of designs never seen before!" Said another member of Green Squadron. "What in the... Its an entire Fleet... big enough to destroy the entire New Republic! Nobody could have created this without The New Republic knowing!" "Lets get up close to that one, the massive spike shaped one, and see if we can land in it. Green Leader out." As the small group of X wings flew towards the Spike ship, they began to get life readings on thier scanners, and picked up millions of life readings that were just floating in space. Suddenly, two of the massive purple ships collided, causing a massive explosion. More and more ships collided, causing a firework display in space. And for every ship that exploded, even more came through the anomaly. Finally, it seemed like the last ship was in, and the anomaly just collapsed. The ships were spreading out, and about half of them collided, and were serverely damaged, or destroyed. Green squadron got in close to the massive spiral ship, and began to look for a hanger. Finally, they found what appeared to be a massive viewport, ang began to hover, waiting for signs of life. Finally, a door opened, and what looked like a Mandolorian stepped through, holding an unknown weapon. The X wings flew alongside the ship, waiting for somthing to happen. 	chap 2 is up! Chapter 2 Within 10 minutes, about 100 of the capital ships, from both sides, had been destroyed, along with the lone Squadron of X-wings, and millions of smaller craft. The only problem was, this was still the largest fleet the New Republic had ever seen, and ever would, even if they were firing on each other. About 30 seconds before they had been destroyed in the cross-fire, Red squadron had sent out a call for help, warning all vessels that there was a massive fleet in the area, and to send help ASAP. shortly after that, and just seconds after the 10 minute mark in the battle, a tiny New Republic fleet popped out of hyperspace, barly gaining the attention of the UNSC forces. A captain on one of the tiny UNSC ships called out "Get me a comm line to those vessels if you can, tell me thier intentions." About 30 seconds later, when they found the right Comm wave, A large image of a pale faced New Republic officer filled the tactical screen, And began to gibber somthing out, but the captain of the UNSC ship beat him to it. "Unknown vessels, this is not your fight, get the freakin' hell outta here before the Covenant get you!" "Er, its the... um... New Republic code to... uh... stop battles in our space zones... so... stop fighting..." The Captian of the only large ship they had, a small star destroyer, attempted to tell them. "Ha, try telling that to the covenant! If you've got slipspace capabilities, get the hell outta here!" The UNSC Captain said. "What the kriff is 'Slipspace?'" Before the Captian of the UNSC ship could reply, his comm crackled, and his tiny ship blew up. "Er, give me a line to all of the not purple ships... And send Co-ordinates for Dubbrilion." Master Chief looked at his surroundings, now wondering how he could escape this gargantuous ship before it was destroyed. He noticed another tiny door, just 20 meters across the room, and ran towards it, hitting the button, and leaping into the hallway, not too stealthily. Once again flicking his helmet light on, he began his journey towards the other side of the hall. as he moved towards it, somthing strange happened. A weird blue static flew down the hallway, past him, then it turned around, shot back, and began orbiting him. The Chief stuck his hand out into its path, and recieved the electic shock of his life. Then somthing crackled inside his Helmet "Gaalrd ot be Cabk!" "what the hell?" "Hnga no, my voich ish csrambled" "Huh?!" The clear voice of cortana blew through his internal speakers at 150 decibles, nearly deafening him. " I said, hang on, my voice is scrambled!" "AHH!" A somewhat quieter voice talked to him now, saying "sorry, i forgot to reset your helmet speakers." "Cortana?!?! How the hell did you get here?" "long story, no time, weve got to get the hell off this hip, right now!" "Why, Whats wrong?" Before she could emphasise her point, a large yellow flood burst down the door at the end of the hallway, pointing a plasma rifle at him. "Oh crap." -----signature----- "Youve turned her against me!"
