Awesome! I hope that Vergere is really gone, if she is I wonder if this will force Lumiya out of the woodwork, Jacen isn't nearly as influence by Vergere's teachings as they would have hoped. Though right now they're going to be a little too busy dealing with Tsavong lah at the moment. Oh my, with Lah coming after them I can just bet the twins will end up fighting side by side with Anakin, I wonder if they'll realize his true identity. I can't wait for the next update!

Huzzah! The bird is dead! I'm glad that Jacen was the one who finally got to blast her into free floating atoms. I hope she stays dead, unlike other annoyingly hard to kill Sith Ladies...cough...Lumiya...cough.
Speaking of Lumiya, I wonder what part she has yet to play...
Good update, I'm looking forward to seeing all three Solo's fight together on the ground if it comes to that.
Yes I thought it only fair that Jacen get to be the one to get rid of her! And yes Lumiya still has a part yet to play...rub hands and gives an evil cackle! Mu ha ha ha ha!

Anakin's bad feeling...well it could be the fact that he and Jacen are being chased by thousands of Yuuzhan Vong with little to no hope of surviving. LOL! Glad you liked the update! Thanks for reading!

“This is going to be close,” Anakin muttered as both X-wings raced towards the closing blast doors.
“Shields are still down,” Jacen observed, troubled by the breach in security.
“Maybe they’re waiting for us,” Anakin offered, not believing the explanation himself.
Jacen didn’t bother to reply as he twisted his fighter ninety degrees so that it would pass uninhibited through the shrinking entrance. Both X-wings slid across the rocky floor, sparks flying up beneath their hulls from the heat of the friction. Simultaneously both canopies flew up, their pilots somersaulting out their respective cockpits before they crashed into the opposing wall. Jacen landed with his lightsaber already ablaze, his eyes fixed on the blast doors as they crawled shut.
“That won’t keep them out for long.” Anakin murmured worriedly.
Jacen nodded, and then turning to his companion, allowed his eyes to fall on the form of his twin cradled up against Nik’s chest.
“Here,” he said clasping his lightsaber to his hip, and holding out his arms. “I’ll take her.”
Not wanting to argue Anakin passed her over, before returning his attention back to the doors. Already the walls surrounding them were beginning to break apart a sure sign of grutchyna digging their way in.
“We’ve got to go, now!” Anakin ordered, placing a hand on his brother’s shoulder and shoving him towards the small corridor leading out of the tiny hangar.
“What’s your plan?” Jacen huffed as he sprinted with Jaina in his arms.
“There are too many to try and take them ourselves. Our best bet is to wait until most of them are in the base, blow the shaft head and allow the vacuum of space to do the rest of the work. We can hunker down someplace until help arrives.”
Jacen nodded in agreement and took the lead. “We need to get to the control bunker located off the main hangar. This way.” He explained as the single corridor split into three.
Several minutes later the sound of a voxyn’s scream echoed in corridor behind them followed closely by the war cries of nearly two hundred Yuuzhan Vong warriors spilling into the base.
“There in,” Anakin shouted as they ran, relieved they had made it to the main hangar. The ceiling opened up above them as they dodged the various abandoned fighters that littered the floor. The buzzing sound of thud bugs assaulted Anakin’s ears, and lighting his saber he turned and quickly began batting them away.
“Go!” he cried, encouraging his brother to keep moving towards the small door only a hundred feet or so off to their left.
Jacen gasping for breath nodded, his face betraying his worry for the other Jedi. However his concern quickly transformed into dread as he approached the door to the control bunker and saw it had been completely destroyed. The room was dark and littered with the bodies of base personel, all of them bearing the marks of amphistaffs. The various machines and computers were sparking from the assault they had taken as well. Looking back over his shoulder he saw Nik tossing X-wings and whatever else he could find at the warriors now streaming into the hangar.
Sweat dripping down his face from exertion, Anakin tossed another X-wing across the room knocking twenty more warriors off their feet as they charged him. Feeling his brother’s fear, he turned and seeing Jacen standing hesitantly outside the bunker he scowled. “Get her inside!” he ordered, and turning back to his task, he began to pull down at the ceiling above him, thinking not for the first time how much easier this would be with Tahiri at his side.
Stashing Jaina out of site beneath one of the control stations Jacen rushed back to the entrance his lightsaber lit in preparation. Nik was sprinting towards him dust and debris rising all around him as the ceiling and walls of the hangar collapsed. Three warriors were still in pursuit and a chill raced up Jacen’s spine as he eyed the largest of the three.
“Tsavong Lah,” he breathed, stepping aside as Nik rushed past him and immediately started working on one of the sparking control panels.
“Three are still three coming!” Jacen yelled at him.
“I’ll hold them off!” Anakin shot back, relief flooding him when he was still able to get the damaged computer to bring up a base schematic. “We have to release the seal manually. There should be valve located in that storage closet behind you.”
Jacen swore under his breath and glancing behind him lunged for the closet door as the first of the three warriors entered the room.
Anakin somersaulting over the control panel, lightsaber lit, immediately engaged the warrior. His lightsaber crashed into the amphistaff with bone jarring force as the other two warriors burst through the entrance.
Tsavong Lah seeing Jacen Solo kneeling in the corner attempting to break through a door, laughed. “Kill the man. Leave the boy to me.” he ordered. The second soldier immediately moving towards Anakin, and Anakin, realizing he needed to dispatch the two grunts quickly, ducked under the first warrior’s blow, rotating so that he was back to back with him. Lifting his blade over his shoulder he stabbed through the base of the warrior’s neck while kicking out with both legs at the second charging warrior’s chest, knocking him back against the wall. The first warrior fell to the ground dead, and Anakin was on the second in a heart beat, slashing and parrying. The warrior unable to regain his footing was dispatched in seconds.
Taking a breath, Anakin turned and raced to assist his brother who was fighting one of the largest warriors he had ever seen. Flipping his blade around in his hand he moved to strike the warrior in the back.
Tsavong Lah sensing someone behind him, ducked and whipping around narrowed his eyes in irritation at the Jedi Knight before him.
Anakin smirked, “Hey ugly! Pick on someone your own size.”
“You are not worthy jeedai.” Tsavong Lah bit out. Then hearing the sound of the voxyn as they worked they way out from under the rubble, he grinned, splaying his torn lips into an evil smile. “I will cut you up and feed you to my pets in pieces jeedai.”
Anakin merely inclined his head bringing his lightsaber up in a defensive position. Lah attacked first, swinging his considerable weight towards him. Anakin grunted as he met the blow, relieved to see Jacen working desperately to turn off the valve. Realizing speed would be his best asset against the terrifyingly large warrior, Anakin used a series a quick jabs and attacks, hoping to keep in control of the situation. The warrior however continued to move him back towards what had been the corner wall of control panels.
“Jacen!” he called out, at the sight of more warriors running towards them across the hangar through the entry.
But that brief distraction cost him, and Anakin found his feet frozen in place, the warrior having thrown blorash jelly at his feet. Anakin was pinned. Desperately he tried to block the blows, the amphistaff however caught his cheek, the blow tearing his masque partly away from his face effectively blocking his vision. The warrior smirked and swung the staff low hitting the Jedi in the side. Anakin cried out in agony, tearing at the masque with his left hand as he tried to parry another blow with his right. The blow was too strong however and knocked the saber from his hand.
“And now Jedi you will die!” Tsavong Lah mocked as he raised his staff for the killing blow.
Time and space seemed to disconnect, as Anakin watched the amphistaff swing down towards his head. Closing his eyes, he waited for the blow, but they shot open again, a moment later as a strangled cry so primal in it’s anguish he would never have guessed it to be human, filled the room. The next thing he was aware of was the warm light of a lightsaber in his face as it blocked the amphistaff from striking.
“I don’t think so!” Jaina Solo sneered, as she stepped in front of Anakin, and lunging to the left to avoid another powerful strike, she quickly turned and snapping the lightsaber back around, cut through the war master’s arms. The amphistaff fell to the ground, and Jaina swinging her lightsaber back up with lightening speed decapitated the war master Tsavong Lah.
Anakin fell back against the console, white pain shooting up his side. He watched in relief as the secondary doors slammed down over the damaged entry way signaling a loss of pressure.
Turning his attention back to Jaina he smiled sluggishly. She stood feet spread widely, lightsaber still activated in her hand, her chest still rising and falling in shock. Her face was pale, and he could see the disbelief and confusion etched there. Two steps behind stood Jacen, looking deeply troubled. Anakin opened his mouth to speak, but found his tongue felt strangely thick in his mouth. His vision grew blurry and the last thing he heard was his sister cry out as she lunged towards him before everything went dark.

Phew...wipes forehead. I have to say I am glad that is the last lightsaber/starfighter scene I will be writing for a while. I think it bogged the story down a bit, but live and learn. Now on to all those fun A/T reveal scenes we've all been waiting for. Woo Hoo!

bogged it down?!? Are you kidding?! That was amazing! i love the allusion to EP III, that was great resemblance. I loved the scene...and I can just see Jaina and Jacen standing there in shock...I can't wait to see how they take it once it really sets in.
And I'm looking forward to that A/T scene. Keep it up!!

All caught up and I''m hanging off my sofa waiting for the next update.
Sorry to have been away so long. As you may have noticed in the Fear and Love thread...I was away for a bit.
Very much looking forward to Tahiri finding out, would love to see further reactions from Jacen and Jaina as well.
Loved that Anakin was shot down by Mara in the Bizarro Universe.
Really loved the scene when Tahiri went after Nik as he was leaving and if I've done my math right...Little Miss Elle should be making an apperence soon...I believe.

Nice parallelism - Anakin saved Jaina's life in SbS, and now she saves his life here...can't wait to find more reactions!
