I read this when you first posted it and while I'm not keeping up with canon, I love the maturity shown by the boys and the dynamic you've captured between them. That they're willing to settle their differences and work as a team for someone they each care about in their own fashion - and deeply - is a huge character building moment. you said in one of your replies that Zekk is the kind of guy to step back when it comes to someone he cares about. You're right - he does it all the time; they come first. It's one of the reasons I love his character so much. And it wasn't until I started reading LotF that I really got this part of his character. And I've come to enjoy his character a great deal. 	This viggie made me realize that although Jaina is in LOTF she isnt, not the way she was in the Rebel series and other NJO books . This type of view is needed to round out the series so that it feels more balanced. Great spot to start Jags POV from- Mara's funeral. I also agree with Jade Max, your characterization on Zekk was right on all the way, except I think I would have had them stand for their little talk. I rarely see guys on the same level do a sit down its like they feel trapped or something.
