	I've been intending to read this since you guys started posting it since it's loosely based on one of my all time favorite movies - and I have to say that you ladies are doing it more than justice! I've laughed through the girl's antics and am eagerly anticipating the continuation of this. 	PHGS_Weyr ~ Thanks! Idrelle_Miocovani ~ Feel free to form a line. It couldn't have been Callista because L/M were married at the time (in this fic) that the Eye would have been found in profic. Both of us (Natalie and I) own the Lindsay Lohan movie so we are trying to be as true as we can to the movie, but adding a star wars twist. SilSolo ~ Nope. As I told Idrelle, it couldn't be Callista. SWpants666 ~ Feel free to get in line with Idrelle. And I could see Artoo having some sense of recognition with Sera and that's why 'he' knows Shae isn't Sera. Oh yes, I purposely made Vinjera a LOT worse than Callista. mara_jade_rox ~ Oh my, are you okay? Vinjera instead of Callista......had to be done. Read my reply to Idrelle for why. Flowerlady ~ She's supposed to be hated. She stands between our farmboy and his red haired beauty..... MirandaFair ~ That's another person that thought it would be Callista. Read my reply to Idrelle for why it wasn't. And Lukey Poo was a play on "Nicky" that Meredith Blake called Nick Parker in the Lindsay Lohan remake. As I told Idrelle, Luke and Mara were already married in this fic when the Eye made the appearance in Profic. She WAS the girlfriend in my original fanfic, but when I decided to rewrite this a few years ago, I decided an OC would be a LOT better. 	Chapter 11 - A Snag in the Plan Smiling sweetly, the woman approached Shae and held out her hand to shake Shae's. "So, I'm finally meeting the famous Sera!" Her smile was nauseatingly fabricated, Shae could tell, quietly reading the woman's emotions in the Force. "Oh, Lukey, she's adorable!" Vinjera continued. "From what your father told me, I expected to meet a little girl, but you're practically a grown woman." She smiled sweetly at Luke, who replied with a proud smile of his own. Shae almost rolled her eyes at the sickening sweetness in the woman's voice. "I'm almost twelve," she replied, not copying Vinjera's tone. "How old are you?" she asked, trying to shock the leggy blonde. Vinjera laughed. "Twenty-nine," she replied, unfazed. Shae had to give Vinjera some credit for not appearing shocked at her rude tone. "Wow, only seventeen years older than me!" This time she did go for the over-sweet tone. "How old are you again, Dad?" Luke looked at his daughter in surprise. "When did you get so interested in math?" He ruffled her hair, but still didn't comment on its new length. "I think I'll go get us another kettle of Hot Chocolate to celebrate." He left the office, leaving his daughter and his girlfriend alone. "Celebrate? What's my dad talking about?" Shae could guess, even without the sick feeling in her stomach as a warning. There were alarm bells going off her in head, but she forced herself to keep calm. Breathe, just like Mom taught you. In and out, slowly. "Your homecoming from camp, of course," Vinjera said, seemingly unaware of Shae's inner struggle. Shae knew the woman was lying. What was the real reason her father wanted to celebrate? Exactly how far along were her father and this intruder? She had planned to have time alone with Luke, a chance to get to know him, but she had a feeling that the duo would become a trio pretty often. Shae sat down in a chair that had been pushed up against the office wall. Sera hadn't mentioned this woman, and Shae was sure that she would have if there had been anything serious – or anything at all, for that matter. She had a feeling that her sister didn't know about the new woman in their father's life, which meant that she was probably very new – as in, she had arrived after Sera had left. I have to tell her. She's not going to be happy. "So, how was camp, Sera?" Vinjera asked, making an attempt to be social. "Was it fun?" "Yes, it was wonderful," Shae replied. And it was, she realized. She had had the time of her life. Shae sized Vinjera up. Her father's girlfriend was almost as tall as he was, with light blonde hair and long, tanned legs. She was wearing a short, sexy dress that Shae knew she would never be allowed to be caught dead in. A hat that was obviously hers was on Luke's desk, and she was leaning against it. Shae got an idea. "Compared to the others, you're actually pretty normal," she pretended to observe, wondering if this would finally unnerve the woman. "Others?" Vinjera asked in a surprised tone, betraying nothing than a little curiosity. Shae leaned closer. "Do you want the info on Dad? The dirty little details?" When Vinjera nodded, she said, " Since Dad seems to like you so much, I should probably tell you that you're number twenty-three – I mean twenty-four – in his life." Shae tried not to let her glee show; Vinjera was starting to look truly startled. "And it's always the same routine," she continued. "A kettle of hot chocolate, moonlight jogs through the forest, special dinners . . ." She trailed off, letting Vinjera fill in the blanks. "I see," she said slowly. Shae would have continued, but she heard her father returning. "Just . . . don't mention I told you this," she said quickly. "Our little secret?" "Of course," Vinjera said slowly, still digesting the information. Luke walked back into the office, carrying three mugs and levitating a carafe of hot chocolate in front of him. He set them gently on the desk. "So, did you girls find something to talk about while I was down in the kitchen?" "We sure did," Vinjera replied, still looking at Shae. Shae just gave an innocent smile. *** Shae booted up the holonet monitor. She glanced over her shoulder, crossing her fingers that her father would not see the light on in her room. It was, after all, after midnight Yavin time. She hoped it wasn't too early on Corellia. She was not sure of the exact time difference. Booting up the H-I-M program, she logged in using the username and password she had been given by Sera. She put "Shae_Luvs_Devin" in her buddy list and hit enter. Luckily, it looked like Sera was online. She typed a message. SeraSkyFlyer: Hey, how is it going? Shae_Luvs_Devin: Mom is amazing. We had dinner with Grandpa Karrde and Aves and – SeraSkyFlyer: That's nice, but we have an emergency here! Shae_Luvs_Devin: What sort of emergency? SeraSkyFlyer: Dad's in LOVE! Shae_Luvs_Devin: Yeah right. Dad doesn't fall in love. SeraSkyFlyer: Well, it seems like he's serious about this one. He's always holding her hand and they're always going off somewhere and – Shae_Luvs_Devin: Well, sabotage her or something. SeraSkyFlyer: I'm sort of at a disadvantage here; I just met the man barely a day and a half ago. Shae_Luvs_Devin: I have to go; Mom's calling for me. SeraSkyFlyer: Sera – Message not received; user is offline. Shae mumbled to herself, "I have a bad feeling about this." Then she turned the holonet monitor off and climbed into bed, shutting the light off with a flick of her hand. *** "Shae?" Mara called. Sera quickly turned her Holonet monitor off and stood up, running for the door. She opened it. "Hey, Mom," she said, pretending nonchalance. "Hey, kid." Mara peeked into the room. "What are you doing?" "Oh, nothing," Sera replied with a shrug. She forced herself to put Shae's words out of her head. Her father couldn't be in a relationship; he had never been interested in one. No, Shae had to have made a mistake. "Okay," Mara said. "How about some hot chocolate?" Sera grinned. Her father loved the drink, and had passed on his love to her. She had missed it. 	First reply! So we finally get to meet this 'Vinjera' character. Shudder She's just as bad as I imagined. I like how close to the movie you're able to keep this; I'm wondering how you'll be able to reintroduce Mara and Luke (since it's hard enough to do on the same planet, much less the same galaxy), but I'm sure it'll be great.
