	Ah, the fun's starting now! I'd like to see what Han and Leia think of Venjera. 	Her eye caught the closing doors of a lift, and she saw a tall blonde wrap her arms around Luke. Luke, however, saw her, and looked completely shocked. All Mara could do was raise her hand and give him a tiny wave. It's all starting to come together! Luke seems like the only one not catching on...that is, until Mara knocked the "wind" out of his sailing spirits. Great work, ladies. 	Quick A/N: This is the last post until DECEMBER 2nd. We're taking a break from posting until them to give some readers a chance to catch up. Chapter 15: Reunions "Mom!" Shae cried, running to her mother and hugging her fiercely. Mara put her arms around her daughter. "I missed you," she whispered. "I missed you, too." Mara held out her other arm, and Sera joined the group embrace. "How....." Mara was starting to speak when Tionne opened the door of the suite across the hallway. "Excuse me for interrupting this reunion, but I think we need to move this inside." She gestured to the room that she was sharing with Shae, and Mara and the twins went inside. "Tionne!" Mara cried, smiling at the pale-haired woman. "It's good to see you again." Tionne smiled back. As Mara slid past her, she closed the door, murmuring, "I knew I always liked her." Sera and Shae sat down on the couch in the living room of the suite. They had left room for their mother, but Mara, fighting against her desire to hold her girls and never let them go, chose a chair so that she was facing them. They had things to discuss. She confronted them sternly. "One of you – I am not sure which one of you at the moment – but one of told me that your father was expecting me. The man I saw in the lift a few minutes ago definitely was not expecting to see me today. He looked like he didn't know that we're on the same planet, let alone in the same galaxy." "Mom –" Sera began, then stopped. She touched her sister's arm. "I think you'd better tell her. You know her better than I do." "Tell me what?" Mara asked, looking at Shae, her emerald eyes narrowed suspiciously. Shae took a deep breath. "Mom, Dad's getting married." Mara froze in shock. She couldn't believe what she was hearing. Luke, getting married? She couldn't believe it. "To this horrible woman," Shae continued passionately. "She's all wrong for him. And we thought . . ." "We thought if he saw you again," Sera continued, "then maybe he would realize that she's not the right woman for him. Mara muttered a Corellian curse under her breath. "That explains a lot." She glared at her daughters. "One of you get me a drink." Shae stood up from the couch and walked over to the small stock of complimentary brandy in the kitchenette area. She grabbed one and handed it to her mother before resuming her seat on the couch. Instead of opening it and taking a drink, she put the cold bottle against her forehead. Tionne exchanged a look with Kam, who had entered the room shortly after Mara and the twins and had heard everything. He cleared his throat. "Why don't we leave you three alone?" he suggested. "Where are you going?" Mara asked. "Err . . ." Kam grabbed a towel that was folded on a chest and slung it over his shoulder. "Swimming," he decided. "I'll come with you," Tionne added quickly. "Wait a minute!" The pair turned back to Mara. "Did you two know about this?" They exchanged another look. "Well . . ." Tionne began. "Not really . . ." "Maybe a little . . ." "Sort of . . ." "Well . . . "Yes, we knew," Kam said finally, giving the twins a look. Mara threw up her hands. "So everyone knew about the leggy blonde but me." "Her name's Vinjera," Shae said sourly. Mara sighed and stood up. "Then I think I had better go talk to your father. You," she included Tionne and Kam in her glare, "had better stay here. I am going to get this situation straightened out, and then I am taking one of you and going home." *** Luke dropped Vinjera off at their room and raced back down to the library. He could have sworn he had seen Mara there – Mara, the mother of his children, who he hadn't seen in eleven years. What in the galaxy could she be doing here? he asked himself as the lift opened. He searched the lobby, but didn't find her, and he started to doubt whether the woman he'd seen had really been her. No, she had waved to him, he remembered, and she definitely wasn't Sera. Mara was here, in this hotel, and he was going to find her. He found his way to the pool, hoping that she would be there instead of in her room – if she was even staying there, he amended to himself. He was growing frantic. He had to find her. Han and Leia were already out on the deck, waiting for Luke, Vinjera, and Sera. "Luke!" Leia called, trying to wave him over to the table they had selected. He shook his head. "Not now," he called, picking up his pace. He looked across the pool at the lobby doors, contemplating going back inside and looking for her there. He found that he didn't need to – she was standing on the desk near the entrance. Luke moved toward her, bumping into people and chairs to get to her, but he wasn't looking where he was going. He tripped and fell into the pool, only realizing what he had done when the water closed in around him. *** Mara winced when she saw Luke trip face-first into the pool. At the same time, she couldn't help laughing a little as he surged up from the water, dripping wet and looking incredulous. She made her way over to him as he pulled himself out of the pool, ignoring the stares he was getting. Finally, after eleven years, they were face-to-face. "Hello, Mara," he said. "Hello yourself," she replied. "What are you doing here?" "I was about to ask you the same question." He reached his hand up to brush his bangs off of his face, but winced. Mara noticed blood oozing from a cut on his forehead. "That needs a bandage," Mara commented. Luke waved away her concern. "Later. First . . . Mara, what are you doing here?" "Hi, Dad." Luke barely glanced at his daughter; before someone said, "Lukie-poo, there you are." The trio looked at Vinjera, who was sashaying her way over. She looked Mara up and down. "Who are you?" she asked, contempt evident in her voice. Luke shook his head. "Not now, Vinjera." He turned back to his daughter. "Sera, do you know who this is?" "Yes, I do," she replied with a nod. "And actually, I'm not Sera." Luke was confused for a moment, before he heard a voice say, "Actually, I am." Vinjera jumped and let out a little scream. Luke just looked at his daughters, amazed. "Shae," he breathed, holding his arms out. She hugged her father tightly, not caring that he was soaked. "How . . ." "I think we're more alike that we'd like to think, because we sent them to the same summer camp," Mara said softly. "They switched places on us, Luke." Luke's eyes widened. "You mean, I've had Shae the whole time?" Shae, still in his arms, nodded, and Sera smiled at him. Luke, keeping one arm around Shae, held out his other for Sera, who raced to his and hugged him tightly. "I missed you, Daddy," she said. Vinjera put her hands on her hips. "What is going on here? Who are you?" The last was directed as Mara. Luke cleared his throat and gave an embarrassed little laugh. "Honey, did I ever tell you that Sera is a twin?" Vinjera put on a false, sickeningly-sweet look. "No, you did not. "It's okay; he never told me, either." Luke let go of the girls as Sera spoke up. "By the way, I'm the real Sera. This is my twin sister, Shae. She was pretending to be me while I was pretending to be her." The girls turned toward Mara. "And this," Shae added, "is our mother, Mara Jade." Vinjera stared at Mara. "You were married to him?" she asked incredulously, gesturing toward Luke. "Guilty," Mara replied with a feral smirk. "My, my," Vinjera said. "How . . . nice." 	First post! So the reunion has happened sniff, how sweet! They all get to see each other! Then of course the last one is ruined by hiss Vinjera, but Mara and the twins ganged up on her and made her look like a fool! Yay! Thanks for the PM and this chapter!
