	Quick A/N: This is the last post until DECEMBER 2nd. We're taking a break from posting until them to give some readers a chance to catch up. Awww. Thanks for the heads up! Tionne smiled back. As Mara slid past her, she closed the door, murmuring, "I knew I always liked her." hehehe how could you not? Plus she's a heck of a lot better than Vinjera! Mara froze in shock. She couldn't believe what she was hearing. Luke, getting married? She couldn't believe it. Awww Poor Mara "Err . . ." Kam grabbed a towel that was folded on a chest and slung it over his shoulder. "Swimming," he decided. "I'll come with you," Tionne added quickly. raaaarrr I know it happens in the movie, but I love the thought of that's how they get together Luke moved toward her, bumping into people and chairs to get to her, but he wasn't looking where he was going. He tripped and fell into the pool, only realizing what he had done when the water closed in around him. HAHAHAHAHA and that's why Jedi tell their students to use the Force to be aware of ALL of their surroundings. Ah, I love that even Luke can forget that when he sees a cute girl Vinjera put on a false, sickeningly-sweet look gags Sera and Shae gave her identical smirks that made them look exactly like their mother. oohhh bad. 	I'm one of the guilty parties that needed to open all my PMs and catch up But I have now! And its fantastic. Great job I can perfectly imagine all the scenes and the Skywalkers are wonderful. 	Ok, I'm back from Darth RW! I'm so guilty about the whole not opening the Pms thing. I haven't been on here in so long... Chapter Nine: On the Job Oh my goodness! I've done that phony cry/guilttrip thing before! It's works! lol No last name... :/ Well, we'll just have to fix that won't we? Chapter 10 - Daddy Ohh... I hate Vinjara already! Lukie Poo? shutter I'm first in the "let's maim Vinny when time time comes!" line! Chapter 11 - A Snag in the Plan This ain't a snag... it's a kriffing tear! "Shae sized Vinjera up. Her father's girlfriend was almost as tall as he was...", Which is fairly short, if I remember correctly... "A kettle of hot chocolate, moonlight jogs through the forest, special dinners . . ." haha... romance... Jedi style. And Mara's hooked on hot chocolate too. One of the many things she got form Luke, I imagine... Chapter 12 - Bad News "Dad, I'm almost twelve. You really think that I'm going to continue to believe that story you told me about a band of tame ewoks dropping me off at your doorstep?" Are you sure Wes didn't tell her that story? "Like why Artoo-Detoo always tries to shock you when you're near him? Or why you're suddenly unsure of where the cafeteria is? I mean, it's almost as if you were . . . " / Chapter 13: Emergency "Sera turned around, and almost choked on the drink. It was a crude, quick drawing, but it was very obviously an astromech droid. There was a cartoon speech bubble next to the droid saying “HELP!”" How adorable! I can't believe that Luke actually agreed to have a huge wedding on coruscant! Are we sure she's not a Sith? Karrde is a lifesaver! Chapter 14: Meetings "She stopped, looking between two rooms that were situated across the hall from each other. She had told Kam to go ahead of her, and now she couldn't remember which room was hers. Well, there's an easy way around that. "Sera!" she yelled." So Mara. Let's go ladies! It's showtime! Chapter 15: Reunions Sad, but I just caught the Kam/Tionne thing! "Sera and Shae gave her identical smirks that made them look exactly like their mother." 	Wonderful few updates. As always there is a loathing for Luke's soon to be , and the twins are hilarious - little Mara's to the core. Kam/Tionne was priceless! One of my favorite parts so far. 	This is Jedi_Liz --- Sorry this post is later than usual - I'm at my parents house since my heat is having problems. Here comes Chapter 16. Update PMs to follow. Chapter 16: Dinner Surprises A few hours later, Luke and Sera and Mara and Shae exited the hotel. Neither parent knew how their daughters had convinced them to go out to dinner that night "as a family," and they were a little suspicious. "Where exactly are we going?" Mara asked her daughters. "Yeah, where are we going?" Luke added. He decided not to relate the fit that Vinjera had thrown when she'd learned that he was going out to dinner with his ex-wife. "It's a surprise," Shae said evasively, sharing a smug look with Sera. All four of them got into a waiting air speeder. Sera and Shae glanced at each other and crossed their fingers behind their backs. If things went well . . . they only hoped that the Force was with them. * When they arrived at the restaurant, it looked nearly deserted. "I've never seen this place so.....empty," Luke said. "We're eating here?" Mara asked. "It looks closed, girls," she pointed out. The twins shared another grin. "It's ours for the night," Shae said happily. "And how exactly are you paying for this?" her mother asked skeptically, crossing her arms. "We pooled our credits," Sera said evasively. She took a key out of her pocket and swiped it. The door made a buzzing sound, then clicked, and the door swung open. Sera led the group inside. The adults weren't letting it go, though. "Sera . . ." Luke said, a warning tone in his voice. "Grandpa Karrde pitched in some credits," Shae added, coming to her sister's defense. "Shae!" Mara exclaimed. "Okay, Grandpa Karrde pitched in a bit," Shae admitted. Their parents shot her a look. "And Aunt Leia pulled a LOT of strings," Sera added. Luke sighed. "You both owe them big, got it?" "Got it!" they replied simultaneously, giving the adults angelic looks. * The twins led their parents into a small private dining room. It was decorated nicely, with a beautifully set table. "It's only set for two," Mara pointed out. The girls grinned. "That's the other part of the surprise," Shae replied. "We're not joining you?" "You're not?" Luke asked. Sera shook her head and hit a switch. Soft, romantic music filtered in over the speakers. "Enjoy!" Shae said with a grin. She grabbed Sera's arm and the two quickly exited the room. Luke and Mara stared at each other for a long moment. "We might as well sit," Luke suggested. Mara nodded in agreement. Luke reached over to pull out her chair, but she beat him to it and sat down, ignoring him. He moved across the table and took his own seat. "I forgot; you don't like to rely on others." "Easier to do everything myself," she agreed. The conversation stalled for a few minutes. Luke opened his mouth, about to break the silence, when a white-aproned Jedi sauntered in. "Hello," she said. "I'm Tionne, and I'll be your server for this evening." She was smiling, and had a twinkle in her eye. "And I'll be . . . ah, helping," Kam said, entering the room in his own apron. Mara snorted. "How in the galaxy did they rope you into this?" "There was much arm-twisting," Kam replied. Mara grinned. "I'll bet." Tionne waved her hand. "Ignore us; we're just the hired help." Luke and Mara sighed together. Mara picked up the glass of wine Kam set in front of her. Luke decided to break the silence. "It's good to see you again, Mara." She smiled. "Yes, it's good to see you as well. Not really the circumstances I had imagined." "Yes." Luke cleared his throat. "What exactly did Sera tell you to get you out here." "Everything," Mara replied, "except that you're engaged." Luke blushed. "Oh, that." "Yes, that." The silence continued as Tionne set plates of nerfsteak down in front of them. Then she and Kam disappeared into the kitchen. As Mara dug into her food, Luke took advantage of the fact that they were without their children. "So," he started, leaning forward, "since this is probably the last time we'll ever be alone . . . what exactly happened with us?" Mara looked surprised. "What happened with us?" she repeated. "The night you left." He cocked his head. "I think my memory's getting fuzzy, because I can't really remember why." Mara looked down, shoving her food back and forth across the plate. "We were fighting all the time," she said slowly. "You were always gone, and when you were at home you were always busy with the academy. I wanted to be out too, doing business with Karrde, but someone had to stay home with the girls, and the one stuck at home was always unhappy. So, we decided to separate, each with one girl." "Not "we," Mara. You left. And threw a training remote at my head, by the way." Mara blushed. "Oh, I remember that. Did it hurt." Luke smiled at her. "Yes, actually, it did." "I'm sorry," she said. Luke waved her concern away. He was about to say something else, but Mara never found out what it was. He frowned. "I officially know what it feels like to be a monkey-lizard in a holozoo." Mara turned around and looked at the two circular windows looking into the room. One twin was at each, spying on their parents. When they noticed that Mara and Luke were looking at them, they quickly ducked down. Mara chuckled. Luke shook his head. "So, what do we do?" "About?" "The girls. Now that they're together, they won't want to be separated." Mara nodded in agreement as Tionne entered the room, carrying another bottle of wine. "We could each keep them both for a year, and switch them back and forth." Luke shook his head. "I can't live a year without Sera. Could you go for a full one without Shae?" Mara considered what he was saying and nodded in agreement. "You're right. Half a year?" Tionne shook her head. "That would mess up their schooling," she interrupted. Luke and Mara both looked at her, and she blushed. "Sorry, just leaving," she added, beating a hasty retreat. Mara and Luke turned their attention back to each other. "Then what will we do?" Luke shrugged. "I have no idea." *** Tionne nearly ran smack into Kam in her hurry to get out of the private dining room that Luke and Mara were in. "Oh," she said. "Excuse me." "No, excuse me," Kam said gently. They tried to maneuver around each other in the cramped hallway, and ended up nearly falling on top of each other. Tionne's breath caught in her throat. Kam's mouth was very close to hers, and she had the sudden desire to kiss him. "You look lovely tonight," he whispered, sounding as breathless as she. "So do you. Look nice, I mean." The usually calm Jedi was getting very flustered. Their eyes met, and Tionne found herself leaning forward.
