Ha, I can see a lot of potential for confusion and embarrassment here!

POSTIE, people!
“Zane, meet Kyp, Kyp, meet Zane.”
Kyp held out a hand to the younger man.
Zane, who was fairly tall, had jet black hair, bangs falling in front of his face, and extremely dark eyes shook it slowly, nodding. “Zane Dawson. Nice to meet you.”
“You as well,” Kyp replied. “But I’m in a bit of a hurry – I hope you don’t mind making the trip to Ossus.”
Zane shrugged. “Not at all.” He looked at Riley. “Hope she hasn’t been too much trouble.”
Riley glared at him and abruptly lashed out with a fist, getting her boyfriend in the shoulder.
Zane rubbed his shoulder and grinned at her good-naturedly. “Ow.”
“Listen, Zane, this Kyp Durron’s not the real Durron. He’s from an alternate dimension,” Riley explained as Zane moved towards the front of the ship and pressed a few buttons on the helm controls.
“Is that so?” Zane said, sounding rather uninterested. “Welcome aboard. What’s your payment?”
Kyp looked in his pockets. “Uh, I don’t have much.”
“He’s riding free this time,” Riley piped up.
“Not on my ship, he’s not,” Zane muttered.
Riley once again fixed him with a menacing glare; and Kyp had the feeling that type of argumentative banter between them happened a lot. It looked as if Zane wasn’t disturbed by the girl’s threats, however. The situation reminded him of himself and Jaina.
Kyp frowned. Was Jaina all right? Where was she? He needed to find her, fast. “Will we be leaving anytime soon?” He asked.
Zane nodded. “Yeah. We’re leaving now.” He flashed Kyp a mischievous grin, and Kyp had the urge to roll his eyes.
When Jaina came to, she was back in bed. She opened her eyes and quickly sat up. Standing right in front of her was Anakin, Uncle Luke, her mother, her father, Kyp, Jaina Two, and Aunt Mara.
“Hey, kid, you all right?” Her father asked.
Jaina slowly shook her head. “Not really, no.”
“Would you like to tell us what happened? In your world?” Aunt Mara asked, calm.
Again, she numbly shook her head. “Not really, no.”
“Do you believe us when we’re telling you that you’re not in your own reality?” Jaina Two asked.
“Not really, no.”
Kyp spoke, “Jaina…” he glanced at Jaina Two. “Listen, we’re trying to help you. We’re not some phantom or spectre or trick of your mind – we’re real.” He held out a hand. “Here. Look.”
Jaina One warily reached out and grasped his hand, inwardly gasping at how warm it was. Familiar feelings rose up in her mind, and she pulled back, flushing deeply. “It’s not possible,” she said weakly.
“I believe it is, Jaina,” Luke said quietly. “But the only concern I have is how to get you back. Did you pass through any kind of portal?”
Jaina rubbed her head and sat up further in the bed. “Wait, hold on a second. I need to think.” She was silent for a moment, her head in her hands. “Is this really an alternate reality?” She demanded. “Are you really real people?”
The entire party facing her nodded.
“And are you really Anakin Solo?” She asked the young man standing there.
He nodded, his ice blue eyes fixed on hers. “I am.”
“And are you really Mara Jade Skywalker?”
Mara said, “Yes.” Her sharp green eyes were somewhat saddened; and Jaina suspected that Luke had already told her what she herself had told him: Mara had died in Jaina’s reality.
Jaina bit her lip and avoided Jaina Two’s steady gaze. “Sorry if this is a little unbelievable, but I need some time to adjust. If you don’t mind, I’d like to be alone.”
“Certainly. Take all the time you need,” Luke said kindly, and ushered the others out.
“Wait.” Jaina’s eyes locked onto Anakin’s. “I want Anakin to stay.”
Anakin glanced from his elder brother to his uncle and then to Jaina. “I’ll stay,” he agreed, and let the others pass by him. Once the last person was finally out, and the door shut, he looked at
Jaina and slowly came to her beside. He then sat on the edge of her bed, silent.
Jaina turned her body and slid her legs so they were dangling over the edge next to her younger brother’s. She linked her hands together and nervous, looked at him. Suddenly, overcome with emotion, she stifled a sob and grabbed her brother in a tight embrace.
Anakin didn’t know what to say – but he just returned the hug and let her cry.
A hidden shadow crept along in the dark alleys of Coronet City, alone and unnoticed by the rest of the city. Yellow and red eyes flashed out from beneath a black hood, and the dark cloak covered a muscular, well-formed male body. A silver object gleamed out from under the cloak, but then disappeared under its raven folds. Upon reaching a shipyard, the shaded figure looked up at it and smiled.
“Time for a little family reunion,” Darth Cadeus muttered.
“… And so that’s what happened,” Zane finished.
“You left out my part,” the pilot, Felix, protested.
“Did not,” Zane insisted.
“Did too, Cap’n.”
“Are you grown men or teenage boys?” Kyp asked, raising his eyebrows. “I’m not sure how you keep this ship run, Captain Dawson.”
Zane grinned. “Neither do I sometimes,” he admitted.
Kyp shook his head and rubbed his chin. “How long until we reach Ossus?”
“Not long now. Maybe fifteen hours.” Zane fixed Kyp with a keen look. “You’re really from another dimension?”
Kyp nodded, feeling embarrassed for some inexplicable reason. “Apparently so.”
“How’s that possible?”
“Your guess is as good as mine, Captain Dawson.”
Zane was silent after that, but another member of his crew piped up, “Are you engaged to Solo in your reality?”
“Jevin, shut it,” Zane said.
Jevin, a young man who looked to be the same age as the captain, shrugged and pulled his blue eyes away from Kyp’s. “Sorry.”
“No,” Kyp sighed. “It’s all right. This is just a little confusing right now. But no, I’m not engaged to Jaina. In my galaxy, at least.”
“Shame,” Jevin muttered.
On the far off stormy planet of Kamino, two scientists stood over a body of a young man who was at the moment unconscious.
“Shall we wake him?” One Kaminoan said. “He’s been in stasis for years now – decades, even.”
The other scientist only stared at the young man’s face intently. “I am not certain. I have no records of this clone ever appearing in this facility before. I have no record of his donor, either. I think our only option is to wake him. Though I doubt he will have any informa–” She was cut off as her throat mysteriously choked up, and she clawed at her throat, trying to regain air.
“Sala!” The other cried, and reached out to help her, only to be suddenly and violently thrown across the room, slamming into a wall. She slumped to the floor, unconscious.
The young man’s eyes snapped open, and he sat upright. He looked around until his gaze rested on the choking Kaminoan; and she stared at him in horror. “I think I have all the information I need, thank you,” he hissed, and reached out a hand to crush her airways altogether.
The Kaminoan collapsed on the floor.
Sliding off the bed and rising to his feet, the young man’s cold, ruthlessly evil eyes flashed in fury and triumph as he strode out of the room. “Now,
Skywalker
,” he spat, “you will die.”

Excellent update! Lots of interesting developments -- very touching how Jaina asked Anakin to stay.
Poor girl.
And Darth Caedus the Evil Mastrmind planned this all?
How did he get an understanding of alternate universes?!
He's not a fanfic writer in disguise, by any chance?
Hope to see some more of this fic soon! You've got a really interesting plot; lots of twists and turns developing and my head is getting completely turned around with all of the Jaina Ones/Twos and Kyp Ones/Twos!

SilSolo
so Jacen'd been planning this all along.
Er... not exactly. More will be explained later, but for now, know that all Cadeus knows is that he's been transported into an alternate universe, and he knows that his family members are still alive. But no, he didn't plan it.
I hope the real Jacen, the one that really loves TK, comes out and kicks Caedus' butt while Jaina tells the Solos what's going on.
Ha ha, yeah, that's a great thought. Maybe he will...
PHGS_Weyr
This is cool!
Thank you!
Thanks for the PM!
No problemo!
Poor Kyp1 or was it Kyp2? I'm so confused!
Sorry about the confuzzlement. I'm going to make it so that there's less confusion in the later chapters, and the characters will be Jaina or Solo, or Kyp or Durron, that sort of thing, and it'll stay that way the rest of the fic.
Jaina_Solo_Goddess
Awww, so Jaina can finally see Anakin as he should be.
Yeah, this story is going to be focusing primarily on Anakin and Jaina's relationship if he had survived, how much she misses and loves him, and Kyp and Jaina's relationship and how they could be if they were together. A complete "What if?" fic.
ANd what's with the creepy clone?
You'll see... especially who the creepy clone is and what he's going to do.

Excellent update! Lots of interesting developments -- very touching how Jaina asked Anakin to stay. Poor girl.
Thanks! Yeah, Jaina's going to be the one to get beat around a lot in this story - especially in this chapster. Lots of angst, which I normally don't like to write, but for this story it's necessary. I want the reader to know how much Jacen's turn to the dark side really affected Jaina, and how hurt and broken she is.
And Darth Caedus the Evil Mastrmind planned this all? How did he get an understanding of alternate universes?!
He has foresight, but he didn't plan it.
He's not a fanfic writer in disguise, by any chance?
No, that's me. A Sith Lady as a fanfic writer in disguise. He he. But you never know. He could be one of us!!
Hope to see some more of this fic soon! You've got a really interesting plot; lots of twists and turns developing and my head is getting completely turned around with all of the Jaina Ones/Twos and Kyp Ones/Twos!
Sorry about the confusion! Like I said to PHGS_Weyr, I'm going to have them called by different names for the rest of the fic. However, this story is focusing on the Kyp and Jaina from the LotF series, not the alternate universe Kyp and Jaina. I want to develop their relationship to the fullest extent in this story. Thanks!!!

RE: Flying Solo-post LotF AU (K/J, A/T, J/TK) Jaina travels into an Alt. Un. where LotF never happen
Postie, fellow Star Wars fanatics! Enjoy!
Jaina Solo stood on the balcony overlooking the lush scenery of the planet Ossus, her arms folded across her chest, her beautiful face impassive and her expression dark and saddened. She was so completely wrapped up in her own thoughts that she didn’t hear the buzzer ringing or the whoosh of the doors as they opened.
“Jaina?”
Jaina stiffened, but she didn’t turn around.
“Jaina…” Jacen took a few slow, cautious steps towards her. “I, uh, wanted to see how you were doing.”
No reply.
“Listen, if you need anything, just let me know, all right?”
Still no answer. Jaina’s jaw clenched, and a rebellious tear slipped down her cheek. It was still too soon. Her eyes slid shut –
“I’m offering you the chance to turn the galaxy back the way it should be – filled with peace, justice, and security. Don’t disappoint me.”
“You damn traitor,” Jaina whispered.
Jacen frowned, taking another step towards her. “What?”
“You’ve disappointed him,” she murmured.
Jacen halted, staring at her back, completely bewildered. “Jaina?”
“I warned you. You had your chance. Now, you will die.”
“I’m not going to die,” she hissed, her eyes still closed.
“You will regret saying that.”
“I won’t regret it,” Jaina said, her voice rising, her heart rate increasing as the memories began to pour into her mind. “I won’t!”
Jacen lunged forward. “Jaina!”
“NO! STOP! You won’t kill me! You won’t! I won’t let you!” Jaina screamed, “I won’t let you hurt them!”
Jacen grabbed her arms, his eyes wide. “Jaina! Jaina, what’s wrong! Jaina, listen to me!”
“Let go!” Jaina roared, and her eyes snapped open, half-crazed. She struggled violently against his hold and Force-pushed him into the wall, sending him falling to the floor with a groan of pain.
The doors to her room suddenly flew open, and Anakin and Kyp came bursting through. Jaina blinked, and she stumbled backwards, tears streaming down her cheeks. “What—what happened?” She stammered, backing against the wall.
Kyp slowly helped Jacen to his feet; and Anakin looked from him to the horrified Jaina.
“Jaina,” Anakin said, his icy blue eyes fixated on his broken sister. “Jaina, are you all right?”
Jaina, however, looked to be in a state of shock, and she stared at Jacen, her eyes wide, and her mouth was moving as she mumbled incoherently. She slid down and crouched on the floor, her whole body trembling viciously.
“Jaina!” Anakin shouted, trying to break her out of her trance.
Jaina’s brandy brown eyes jerked to his, and their gazes locked. But Jaina only stared at him; and it seemed to Anakin as if she wasn’t really looking at him. That lost, shattered expression on her tear-streaked face nearly stopped his heart, and he swallowed hard. He knelt down in front of her and hesitantly reached out a hand, touching her cheek gently.
Jaina’s trembling began to come to a standstill, and she blinked, looking down at her hands before raising them up to meet her brother’s. “Anakin,” she whispered hoarsely. “I can’t… I can’t do this anymore.” She lowered her head, burying it in her knees, and her shoulders began to shake, sobs wracking her slim body.
“Jaina,” Anakin began helplessly, glancing back at an astonished Kyp and a dazed Jacen; “Jaina, it’s going to be all right. Shh, listen to me,” he said, and took her cold hands in his own, rubbing them. “Jay, listen to me. Everything’s going to be all right.”
She only shook her head and continued to sob.
Anakin frowned, reaching out with the Force and touching her mind. He nearly gasped at the raw pain he found there, and he leaned back on his feet, mouth opening slightly. “What did… what happened to you?” He rasped.
Jaina’s head slowly lifted, and through whimpers she managed to get out: “I c-can’t tell you.”
“Why not?” Kyp asked softly, his eyes locking onto hers as he sent out a wave of comfort to her through the Force.
“Because,” she whispered hoarsely, “it’s too soon. It’s too soon. It’s too real. He’s still here.”
Anakin licked his lips and demanded, “Who? Who’s still here?”
“A Sith Lord?” Jacen asked. “Is there some new Sith Lord in your world?” When she made no reply, only biting her lip, he continued venomously, “Did he hurt you? If he touched you I’ll–”
“Jacen,” Anakin interrupted, looking back at him.
Jacen sucked in a breath of air and sighed. “I’m sorry, Jaina. I shouldn’t be interrogating you like this. I just… I hate seeing you like this, Jay. It’s killing me. This isn’t you. This isn’t the Sword of the Jedi I know and love.”
Jaina put her head into her knees and made no answer, and Anakin glared at Jacen. “Lay off her, will you, Jace? You don’t know – none of us do – what she’s gone through in her reality. We just need to give her some time.”
Jacen reddened, ashamed, and nodded. “Jaina, I didn’t mean it. We’ll leave you alone.” He rubbed his head and walked out of the room.
Kyp moved towards Anakin and knelt beside him, placing a warm hand on Jaina’s shoulder. “Hey, Goddess,” he murmured, “don’t worry. You’re going to be all right. No one’s going to hurt you here.” He glanced at Anakin and back to Jaina. “I promise you that.” Squeezing her shoulder gently, he rose to his feet and left the room.
Anakin stared down at the floor, deep in concentration. Jaina finally raised her head and looked at him. Anakin was too engrossed in his thoughts to have noticed her studying him carefully.
“Anakin,” she rasped, her throat dry.
Anakin blinked, and his eyes shot up to meet hers. “Yeah, Jay?”
“I’m sorry.”
“No,” Anakin suddenly growled, eyes flashing dangerously, “Don’t you dare apologize. Not after what you’ve been through. Jacen needs to watch his mouth sometimes.”
Jaina’s face went ashen at the mention of Jacen; an action not unnoticed by Anakin, whose eyes narrowed.
“Jaina,” he said carefully, “Jacen wouldn’t have anything to do with this Sith lord of yours, would he?”
Jaina’s face was pure white by now, and Anakin took that as a dreadful conformation that his suspicions were indeed correct. “Oh, Jaina,” he breathed, “Is he… did he…”
Jaina’s body began to tremble, and he instantly took her hands in his own again. “No. I won’t make you answer that.” He exhaled through his nose and rubbed his forehead. “You need to get some rest,” he continued. “You’ve had too much overbearing emotions for one day.” He helped her rise to her feet, but she weakly shook her head.
“No,” she said croakily, “I’ve been in bed too much. I need air. I need to walk around.”
Anakin nodded. “We’ll take a trip to the city, then. C’mon.” He led her out of the room, his arm still wrapped around her tightly.
Kyp stared out the window of his small quarters, his eyes drifting across the endless amount of stars. But his mind was far from the stars themselves. He had felt Jaina’s distress and shock a few hours earlier: it had been so great and terrifying that it had caused him to wake up, gasping for breath. Now, at 0300, he was tired, depressed, and feeling very, very old. Running a hand through his grey-streaked hair, he sighed and leaned against the wall.
Why was the Force determined to tear him and Jaina apart when they fit so kriffing well together? Was it the dark side? Kyp immediately banished that absurd thought from his head. No. It was something else. The Force obviously had plans for him and Jaina, since they had been thrust into a completely different universe without any warning whatsoever. But why take them here? What was the purpose of all this?
Kyp Durron was determined to find out.
He entered the galley two hours later to find none other than the captain sitting at the counter, drinking caf and reading a datapad. He cleared his throat to announce his presence, but Zane didn’t even glance behind him to see who it was.
“Hey, Other-Universer,” he said.
Kyp raised an eyebrow and joined him at the counter, sitting in the stool next to him. “You a Jedi, too?”
“No,” Zane said, sounding amused. “But I know all the Throat-Clearers in my crew, having learned to distinguish between them, and yours is the only one that’s not familiar.”
Kyp made an unidentifiable nose in the back of his throat and rubbed his chin wearily. Zane noticed this and said, “What’s up? You look like a rancor ran over you.”
“I almost wish it had,” Kyp said dryly.
“Bad sleep?”
“How about bad nightmares and no sleep?”
Zane hissed through his teeth. “Ooh, bad. Sorry, mate. Must be hard for you cause you’re not from this reality.”
“You can say that again.”
Both men were silent for a moment.
“You want something to drink?”
Kyp shrugged. “Got any Corellian whiskey?” He asked half-heartedly, only somewhat joking.
Zane grinned. “Boatloads. My cook can’t live without it. Not that he’s a drunk,” he added hastily as he hopped over the counter and got out a few glasses and a large bottle of whiskey. “He’s the best chef this side of Coruscant, and man, can he hold his liquor. That guy can go at least four glasses of this and still have his head.”
Kyp raised his eyebrows and took a sip, not even cringing as the alcohol burned down his throat. “Sounds like a guy I could meet. He must be Corellian.” It was nice to get off the topic of Jaina, even for a moment. He didn’t know how much more emotion he could take from her. She was practically draining him of energy as she exerted her sorrow and dread. It was… unnerving. It wasn’t the Jaina he knew. Kyp’s hand tightened around the glass as his thoughts turned down a darker path: Darth Cadeus. How could he have done it? How could he have almost murdered his own sister? His own twin sister? Kill his own aunt in cold blood?
“Hey! Other-Universer!” Zane snapped his fingers in Kyp’s face, and Kyp blinked.
“What?”
Zane frowned. “Boy, you really are out of it, aren’t you?”
“You have no idea,” Kyp sighed wearily, and promptly downed the rest of his glass.

I think this is my favorite story on the boards right now! Absolutely wonderful, I can't wait to see where you take it!
