A good chapter... your story makes it very easy to get emotionally involved. Of all the SW works-in-progresses I'm reading, yours is one of the few I'm the most desperate for more of, because of that emotional involvement.
I'm looking forward to reading Kyp & Jaina's reunion... and, of course, to eventually seeing Jacen's reaction to the news of his alternate self.

Ah, wonderful to have a new update. I would love to be on the PM list if that's possible. I have followed this since it began. Naming the Kyp's and Jaina's has releaved the confusion for sure. "Kyp's Cape!" Great alliteration. Great comic relief in a story that's going to only get darker. Kyp's edgyness towards Jacen must perplex everyone at the moment, but I'm sure it will all become clear later, and sadly so.
This is intriguing! Keep it up!

I feel bad for Jacen: Jaina and Kyp get angry and emotional around him and it's not his fault! Not that I blame them or anything...
“That’s me,” Durron said wearily, raising a hand. “I’m the Kyp without a cape.”
“Catchy,” Riley smirked.
 Riley and Zane are great characters. (See, now you have a response about them!  ) When Zane said that Riley is "the toughest girl this side of Coruscant," I wondered what he'd say once he met Jaina. Although in her emotional state, Jaina's not too tough right now, but again, I don't blame her.
I wonder how Mara, Teneniel and Anakin will react if and when they found out that their counterparts have died, and how they'll all react when they run into Caedus, which I'm sure they will.
And like Lanta said, it's easy to get emotionally involved with your story. I love it!

Zane, who was walking beside Riley a few feet behind them, piped up, “I think you should wear different colored cloaks.”
Both rounded on him, and he shrank back. One Kyp Durron was intimidating enough; two was just downright scary. Even Riley was slightly disturbed.
“This is my cloak and I’m not taking it off,” both Durrons snarled together. Then they both traded startled looks.
Classic Kyp! And two of them!  *fangirl swoon*
You know, I think that there very first time I've said that. Ever.
“That’s me,” Durron said wearily, raising a hand. “I’m the Kyp without a cape.”
“Catchy,” Riley smirked.
“The cape,” both Kyps said.
“I’m wearing one,” Kyp said, “And Durron’s not. Call me Kyp, and him Durron.”
I love this thing about the cape. It strikes me as very funny. *giggles*
“And maybe I’ll tell you to leave my Jaina alone,” Kyp lashed out suddenly. Jacen took a step back into the apartment, stunned. “You don’t know what she’s been through,” Kyp hissed, his hazel eyes locked onto Jacen’s brown ones. “You don’t know the pain and betrayal she’s had to face!”
“Then tell me!” Jacen shouted, growing frustrated.
“Why would I tell you?” Kyp thundered, his hand going back to his lightsaber.
And there he goes, jumping to conclusions. I suppose it's reasonable, from his point of view. Hopefully he'll eventually get it into his head that this Jacen isn't the same as the Jacen from his world.
Luke shook his head. “Not the last time I checked.” His blue eyes fell as he studied his friend. “I’m sorry, Kyp. It looks like your universe was pretty bad.”
Kyp snorted and stared out the window. “That’s an understatement.”
“How bad?” Solo asked hesitantly.
Kyp didn’t look at her. “Bad.”
Very bad. I wonder how much these Parallel Universe people can help them?
The others turned to the hallway to see Anakin Solo practically holding up the shaking body of a very pale Jaina Solo.
Uh oh...

Good, I'm glad!! I'm so happy you like the emotional involvement - this is actually the first story where I have this much drama and angst. All kinda new to me. Kyp and Jaina's reunion is in this chapter - Jacen and Cadeus's meeting - a little more ahead. Thank you!

Yeah, it is kinda weird, isn't it? the beauty of Sci-fi! Good - I was getting annoyed myself calling them Kyp One and Jaina Two and all that - Last names and first names is a big difference, but it might cause some humorous confusion ahead!

Certainly! I welcome new readers. Glad the confusion is over - I was getting confused myself!! Alliteration is one of the best, I think, literary devices to use - it's so fun! Yes, you're absolutely right - it will get darker, and eventually the truth will come out in a devastating way for everyone.

YES! Finally!! I wasn't sure how people would like them - being OCs and all, and it's hard to pull off good OCs, but thank you! I'm so happy you like them. You're right - Jaina IS tough - at least, "Solo" in the Alt. Universe is tough - but Jaina - no. Maybe she'll toughen up now that Kyp's here to support.
