Okay, here's another update!! Hope you enjoy!
“What are we doing here, Riley?” Zane sighed as he joined Riley on the ship’s ramp. “This isn’t our job – we barely know these people.”
Riley pursed her lips as she stared at the darkening Ossus sky through the many buildings. Their ship was docked in a small parking area near the Solo’s apartment. “Maybe it is our job. Maybe this is what we’re supposed to do.” She turned to look at her fiancé. “Zane, for most of my life I’ve been a cold-hearted assassin. And now that we’ve met Kyp and Jaina and the others, I feel like we finally have some kind of purpose. You saw the Jaina from Kyp’s world – she’s completely broken. If we hadn’t been around to get Kyp to her, who knows what could’ve happened?”
Zane shrugged, but his eyes held a defeated tone. “I don’t know,” he admitted. “But do you think… I mean, in Kyp’s universe, there’s us? Do you think we exist there?”
“I don’t know.” Riley frowned thoughtfully. “It doesn’t sound like anyone good exists over there anymore.” Both were silent for a moment.
Zane finally rubbed his shoulders and wrapped an arm around Riley, dropping a kiss on her blonde hair. “I’m going in. It’s getting chilly.”
“I’m going to stay out here for a while, but-” Riley halted. Tilting her head to one side, she frowned again. “Did you hear something?”
Zane stared at her blankly and listened. “No, I-”
“Shh!” Riley froze. “There it is again!”
Zane paused and listened even more carefully; his eyes widened as he suddenly heard a little cry. “I heard it,” he murmured.
“It’s coming from over there,” Riley nodded to a dark alley nearby. Before Zane could say anything, she darted with an almost inhuman speed down the ramp and rushed down the dark alley, her retreating figure darkening into only a black shadow. Zane took a step to follow her as his eyes strained to see her. After a moment, he saw her dark shape bending down in the alley. When she rose again, she had something in her arms.
“Ri?” He called out.
As Riley walked back to the ship, the ship’s outer lights once again lighted her figure, and Zane was able to see what it was she was carrying. To his shock, a small girl was curled up in the former assassin’s arms. Dried tears were streaked across her angelic little face.
“Who’s this?” Zane asked, alarmed. “Where did she come from?”
Riley looked down at the little girl fondly. “Sweetie, this is Zane. Don’t worry, no one’s going to hurt you.” The girl nodded slowly. “What’s your name?”
The girl, who looked about four, sniffed, and rubbed her nose with a small, pale hand. “Allana,” she said shyly.
Both Jaina and Kyp felt odd and out of place as they treaded through the Jedi Temple along with Mara, Leia, Anakin, and Han.
“It’s so… beautiful,” Jaina breathed wistfully as she looked at young Jedi training, laughing, and running throughout the Temple. “Everything here is so full of life.”
“Yes,” Kyp said, unable to take his eyes off of her. “Yes, it is.” He felt a burst of joy and happiness, rare for him, as he took in Jaina’s wide-eyed wonder and awe. She looked so beautiful, he mused. Some color was coming back into her too-thin face, drawing out her brandy-brown eyes that, for the moment, had nothing but quiet amazement in them. The Force was swirling around her powerfully, returning her strength to her bit by bit, and Kyp knew that soon, she would become the Sword of the Jedi once more. It made his heart almost burst with pride at the thought. She was the Goddess. His Goddess.
Jaina’s small smile widened as she saw Ben running up to them. Grinning, he nodded at her and said, “Hey, Tenel Ka’s just arrived. Jace's going out to meet her.”
Mara smiled at her son, but her countenance was slightly darkened. Kyp knew that she was incredibly disturbed by what he had told her, but she was obviously determined not to show her only child. “Thanks, Ben. Tell your father we’ll be there in a few minutes.”
“Will do.” Ben threw a lopsided grin to Jaina and took off down the hall.
“He’s so much like you,” Mara remarked warmly to Anakin. “I’d be proud if he becomes as good a man as you are.”
Anakin blushed, and Jaina found herself smiling, her heart clenched. “I would’ve liked to take him on as a Padawan,” he admitted. “But Uncle Luke’s doing a better job than I could.”
“Don’t disparage yourself,” Jaina chided her brother gently. “You’re one of the best men I kne – know,” she corrected herself, inhaling deeply.
“Am I one of those?” Kyp grinned down at her as they turned the hall to the Council chambers. Jaina smirked back up at him, only making his grin larger.
“Dream on, Durron,” she said sweetly.
Kyp let out a barked laugh. “Now there’s the Jaina I know and love,” he chuckled as he wrapped an arm around her shoulders and squeezed her arm gently. He didn’t notice Jaina blushing, but the others did. Anakin hid a smile, while the older three exchanged knowing glances.
Upon entering the Council chambers, the many Jedi that included Durron, Solo, and Luke, stopped talking and turned to look at them. The murmur of the discussion faded into absolute silence as Kyp, his arm now around Jaina’s waist, led the others into the room.
Kyp felt a familiar pang of regret and sorrow as his gaze swept over the many Jedi that were now dead in his reality. Kyle Katarn... Kam… Tionne… Corran Horn… Saba Sebatyne… Cilghal. All dead in his world. He even had to grudgingly admit that he missed his Council arguments with Corran. He’d give anything to have it all back. But he couldn’t. After an awkward pause, he said in typical Kyp manner, “Awkwardness… uncomfortable silences… a Jedi craves not these things.”
That did the trick: everyone relaxed. Luke was the first to step forward as the Grand Master and nodded to both of them, smiling. “Kyp, Jaina. I’m glad you could make it. Are you feeling all right?” He glanced especially at Jaina.
Jaina nodded slowly, her gaze raking over the other Jedi. “For now,” she murmured.
Corran was the next to come forward, but he seemed more uncomfortable than Luke. “Hello,” he greeted. “Luke filled us in on everything. I’m sorry for everything you’ve gone through. Lame, I know.”
“It’s the thought that counts,” Kyp replied politely. “Sort of.”
Corran raised an eyebrow but didn’t comment.
“Shall we all sit down?” Luke asked as Mara came up to his side.
Kyp nodded, throwing a glance to Durron. “Sure.”
As they moved further into the chambers, the doors behind them opened, and everyone turned to see five figures entering the room. Jaina paled and grabbed Kyp’s arm for support, and he frowned and held her arms tighter.
“Sorry we’re late,” Zekk replied apologetically, leading the small group of Jacen, Tenel Ka, Tahiri, and Ben. “But when you’ve got the Queen Mother of Hapes with you, you’re bound to run into some kind of trouble.”
Caedus was bored. He knew it wouldn’t be long before Jaina and the other Jedi arrived on Coruscant, but it was the waiting that was becoming tiresome. He almost wished he could return to his own universe – it wasn’t as if he wanted to be sucked into another reality, especially one where the Jedi still practically ran the galaxy. At least in his universe, he was the one in control.
“May I join you?”
Caedus didn’t bother to look at the man who had come up to his table. “No.”
There was a low, almost hissing laugh that caused Caedus to barely shudder. “Stubborn as your grandfather, Darth Caedus,” the voice hissed.
Caedus’s eyes flew up to meet a darkly cloaked man with glittering yellow eyes. His nearly matching yellow and red eyes narrowed, but after a beat, he relaxed, a dark grin forming on his face. “How?”
“That is not your concern,” the young man snapped. “But let me say that I am right to assume that you are not from this universe. Rather, another dimension. I have felt it in the Force.”
“Assume whatever you want,” Caedus said irritably. “While I’m going to state that you are just another clone.” He leaned back in his chair in a bored fashion while sipping his drink. “In my universe, you were destroyed years ago,” he said airily. “You’re nothing but a ancient specimen in a modern universe.”
The yellow eyes of the young man narrowed. “You are bold indeed to talk to me in such a way.”
“I have nothing to fear from you, old man,” Caedus snarled, his eyes snapping back up to meet his. “If you haven’t felt it, I am now the Dark Lord of the Sith. You are history.”
“So you say,” the shadow spat as he took a seat across from the former Jacen Solo. “I haven’t come to debate your title. I have come to make you a proposition. A… partnership of sorts.”
Caedus snorted and looked down at his drink. “Partnership? You? I know my history well – you, of all people do not make partnerships.”
“Let this be the first time, then,” the young man said darkly.
Caedus sighed, bored. “What do you want?”
“To destroy the Jedi. Especially Grand Master Luke Skywalker.”

Allana! How did she get there, I wonder? I'm sort of concerned for her at the moment, with Caedus in the new world and all - she might be safe back home!
And I see Jaina still needs to get used to using the correct grammar. 
Wonder what sort of trouble Zekk and the others ran into while escorting Tenel Ka.   It can't be the good sort of trouble!
And Caedus... who was he meeting with? I have a bad feeling that it's the AU world;s version of Palpatine.

The Riley/Zane conversation was sweet, with her wondering about their AU counterparts. And Allana! What a surprise. I'm wondering if she's a trick of Caedus's, like with that other redhaired orphan that he used to switch with Allana when he kidnapped her.
Seeing all these non-dead Jedi would've freaked me out -- hmm, kind of like what Jaina did a couple chapters back, lol -- and I probably would've started crying. I, of course, am not Kyp Durron, however. 
I wonder who has allied himself with Caedus now... maybe Krayt? *shrugs* I'll wait and find out

Uh Oh! Caedus and and young Palpy clone, this isn't good. Though they'll be so distrustful of each other that it won't be a smooth partnership. Allana huh, I wonder if she's the trouble Zekk's little group ran into. I'm curious as to what kind of schemes our two Sith will concoct to try and destroy our heroes. Though they are two powerful Sith Lords, they're still just two Sith Lords. The Jedi know of Caedus (if not all know who and how powerful he truly is) and at least Jaina suspects another Sith, though I have to wonder why she seems to be the only one. Palpy could hide his power from Jedi who where right next to him in the Old Republic so I can understand him flying under the radar so far. Well, I'm looking forward to the next update!

Yes, Jaina's still not completely used to having everyone she loves alive again.

cggunnersmate: The reason Jaina suspects another Sith is because the Sith is close to Caedus, who is connected with her more than anyone else. Her former connection with her brother allows her to feel darkness more easily. Thanks for reviewing!
