and about four years after

If you haven't read those stories, you can still read this one but i suggest reading those otherwise you may be confused about characters and plot points.
Chapter One: Wedding Jitters
Post One:
Tahiri crashed out on Jaina’s couch watching her try on yet another wedding dress. Tahiri had been at Jaina’s apartment all day watching her try on dresses. Leia had been running in and out of the apartment all day dropping off items, and reminded Jaina of this that and everything in between. The wedding was in less than three days and Jaina had still not chosen a dress. Even worse, she had refused to pick out bridesmaids dresses until Tahiri could come to Mon Cal to help; which was yesterday. Tahiri had yet to even try on a dress because now they were waiting for Rynna to get in from her shipment. Tahiri didn’t know how Jaina managed to get her mother to sign off on “best people” instead of the traditional bridesmaid and best men. Jaina and Zekk both picked one guy and one girl to be their best people. Tahiri and Ryker were Jaina’s, and Rynna and Jacen were Zekk’s. Jaina had wanted Tenel Ka as well, but the Queen mother refused saying that there was going to be enough media coverage at the event without having the eight-months-pregnant queen mother having to wear a bridesmaid dress and walk down the aisle to make it worse. Tahiri couldn’t disagree with her. Tenel Ka looked like she could go into labor any day.
“How about this one?” Jaina asked coming out of her bedroom in strapless white dress that hugged her so tightly Tahiri didn’t think she could breathe. It was straight from the hips down, and Tahiri expected Jaina to trip over the hem. Jaina walked slowly to where Tahiri was sitting and turned around slowly. Tahiri scanned it over.
“You can’t walk in it,” Tahiri told her flat out, as it took Jaina a good minute and a half to get the three feet from her door to the couch.
“Fair enough,” Jaina said picking up the bottom of the dress, showing her bare feet and walked back to her bedroom to try on the next dress. “Why did I let my mom talk me out of a Jedi ceremony?” Jaina yelled from her bedroom.
Tahiri laughed. Leia had more or less wrestled control of the wedding from Jaina practically the first day. Leia had pointed it out repeatedly that she didn’t get to plan Jacen’s wedding because of the Hapes aspect, and that Jaina was her last baby and she wanted a grand wedding for her. Jaina had caved under the pressure from her mother, especially considering she wasn’t getting any backup from her father who didn’t want anything to do with the whole ordeal. Every time Leia or Jaina made a mention of it; Han did this weird grumble and disappeared from sight. Jaina had managed to put her foot down on a few things, like the best people and the private reception with final say on the guest list. Leia had half the galactic senate invited to the wedding including 30 heads of state as well as Gilad Pellaeon, who politely declined. Not that Jaina didn’t agree with her mother on certain aspects. Anora and Aolani were going to be the flower girls, and Miko was going to be the ring bearer, after much persuasion Luke finally agreed to perform the ceremony, and no one even asked Han if he was walking Jaina down the aisle. Leia and Jaina had pratically comanded it, no matter how much he thought he was going to protest.
Jaina strolled out in a heavily embroidered off-the-shoulder dress with a tight fitting top that flaired out at the waist. It was sort of poufy at the bottom but it actually made Jaina’s short stature look taller. Tahiri was motioning for Jaina to twirl around when Leia burst through the door followed by C-3PO carrying a dozen bags. “I like that one,” She told Jaina before unloading things from C-3PO’s arms.
“Zekk will have a heart attack from that dress,” Rynna said, apearing in the doorway from out of nowhere. Her long blond hair was pulled tightly into a bun, and her long legs were visibly noticable in the short skirt she was wearing. Rynna’s legs always made Jaina instantainously jealous. Tahiri waved hello to the cargo pilot, as she got off the couch to get the women fizz-pops.
“Tahiri?” Jaina asked skeptically.
“I think that’s the one.” Tahiri said opening the fridge.
A long loud wolf whistle captured the women’s attention as Ryker strolled through the open doorway. “I would date you in that dress,” Ryker said walking into kitchen and giving his girlfreind a quick kiss, “If I didn’t already know what you were like.” He teased his commander.
Jaina smiled sweetly, “That’s insubordiantion, and I can still have you banned from this wedding.”
Ryker faked hurt, while taking a seat on the couch next to Tahiri.
“What are you doing here anyways,” Jaina asked as she walked around the room trying to get a feel for the dress.
“Jacen, Zekk and I can’t get bowties for our tuxes until we know the color of the bridesmaid’s dresses.” Ryker stated, “And they both refused to come over here and face your wrath about making a decision for you wedding that’s in three days.”
“Those wimps,” Jaina stated resting her hands on her hips, “I think this is the one. Now lets get me out of it.” The room laughed, as she walked back into her bedroom to get out of the dress.
“Did Aleejahndro drop off the rack of bridesmaid’s dresses?” Leia jumped in.
“Yeah, a whole slew of carriers brought in what appears to be a hundred dresses in every color.” Tahiri answered resting her head on Ryker’s shoulder, as Jaina came back out in black pants an a red tank top.
“Great, your turn to go through dress hell,” Jaina said motioning to Rynna and Tahiri to get going. Ryker rested his hands behind his head as Tahiri got up to try on dresses. “Don’t get comfortable,” Jaina snapped at him “I need you to go down to the office and make sure that those P19 forms are filled out in triplicate, and that Malou-Ra finished her report on the new training module that HQ sent us to test.”
“But,” Ryker pouted at her, “I wanna be part of the dress party.”
Jaina cocked her eyebrow at him, “You won’t be at this wedding at all if Wedge doesn’t get that paperwork by today, because otherwise our paid-time off won’t get authorized and if I have to work on my wedding day,” Jaina narrowed her eyes and paused for affect “well lets just say I’m Darth Vader’s granddaughter and do you really want to test me.” Ryker glupped, then simply nodded and walked out of the apartment.
“I think we need to finish the seating arrangement for the recpetion,” Leia jumped in not missing a beat, pulling out several sheets of flimspat and laying them on Jaina’s caf table. Jaina peered over the sheets looking at the arrangment Leia had laid out.
Tahiri came out first in a floor length, apple green halter dress with a slit up to mid-calf. Leia and Jaina looked at her with scrunched up faces.
“Wrong cut?” Tahiri asked
“Wrong color” Leia suggested.
“Wrong everything,” Jaina said and motioned her back to the dress rack, as Rynna was coming out in a short gray dress with rhinestones on the high-necked collar. Jaina took one look at it and shook her head.
“Oh thank god,” Rynna said letting out the breath she was holding. The dress show went on for hours, with random people showing up in between. Zekk stopped by for awhile to help Jaina and Leia with the seating arrangment, pointing out that it was a bad idea to put any of rogues, past or present, at the same tables with each other, but it proved impossible to not have two or three at any one tables. So Jaina did the next best thing and put all the rogues at two tables, figuring that keeping them together would probably be less destructive than keeping them apart. However, Jaina did make sure to keep Wes Janson and Wedge apart. In fact, Jaina made sure when she sent the invitation to Wes, that she wrote in big letters that LT. Kettch was not invited and would meet the wrong end of a lightsaber if he showed up. She thought that would be enough to scare Wes. Hours later, dresses were decided on, seating arrangment was finished, Leia and Zekk had left, which had left Jaina, Tahiri and Rynna to finish up things.
Rynna was tying ribbons onto little candy bags. Tahiri was trying to decide what color to paint her toenails and Jaina was hollering in the holocom at the decorators. Apparently they had decided to decorate the recpetion hall in green and blue instead yellow and dark blue that Leia and Jaina had decided on less than four hours ago. Tahiri couldn’t imagine what Leia and Han were paying for this wedding. Everyone from the caterers, to the designers, to the decorators, to the florists were on call twenty-four hours a day for changes in plans. Jaina hadn’t been able to decide on anything until bridesmaids dresses had been decided on and now that they were everyone else can start there job. Tahiri didn’t know how they were going to be able to do everything in less than three days. The florist had put every convivable flower arrangment on hold until the flower choice was decided. Although she supposed to publicity was worth it. Every media group in the known regions was covering this wedding. It was weird for Tahiri to remember that as normal as Jaina acts, her family is pratically royalty; her parents and uncle were the heroes of the rebellion, and Jaina herself was the savoir of the yuzzhan vong war. As long as Tahiri reminded herself of that, all the special treatment seemed normal.
Jaina tossed the holocom onto the couch, and sank down into one of the armchairs. “I don’t know how we are going to pull off this wedding. Nothing is finished except the food and the guest list.”

Yay!!!!!!!!!! It's back! And it's funny, too!
Poor Jaina. Three days? Yikes! Get cracking, there! And Tenel Ka, eight months pregnant? Dang. Yeah, good idea to let her just sit during the ceremony.
Just in case... please PM me, Rose.

Dude, such a momentous event would be great. Just don't forget that these things end up having their fair share of party crashers
. I really liked how this one is starting off, it's looking to be as good as your previous 2 stories. Just don't leave us hanging with long hiatuses (hiati?) between chapters.

This wedding is going to be crazy. But the three days till and deciding everything doesn't surprise me. Its Jaina for crying out loud. Though I'm wondering if it was partly to drive her mother insane. *ponders* really good post Rose. I cannot wait for more. I've really come to love these fanfictions of yours over the years. How long has it been now? I think going on three years?

It's so nice to see this back!!
Thanks ever-so for the PM, dear!
The post was awesome, had everything I've come to love from you! And Jaina's wedding, well, I can sympathize with her there, because I'm planning one at the moment, so I know how she feels.
I can tell this is going to be a great fic, and I loved the little Ryhiri moment.
Oh, and the dresses you've picked out for the ceremony are great.
Looking forward to more.
Sorry I don't have time for a longer review.

Yay!!!!!!!!!! It's back! And it's funny, too!
I try to keep it light, at least in the beginning cause it's all downhill from here.
Poor Jaina. Three days? Yikes! Get cracking, there! And Tenel Ka, eight months pregnant? Dang. Yeah, good idea to let her just sit during the ceremony.
It's just like Jaina to procrastinate for her wedding.

Forget party crashers, wes janson is invitied. With all the security and news outlets wedding crashers won't even be able to get in.

Thanks, I'm going to try not to have this one go on three years, but i make no promises. I'm trying to get into grad school.

oh, it passed crazy weeks ago. It's become a solo event to behold.
Though I'm wondering if it was partly to drive her mother insane
of course it is, Because it's always about driving Leia nuts.

Have fun with your wedding. I'm having fun just writing about Jaina's cause i can't imagine planning a real one (not that i've found anyone crazy enough to marry me anyways).
I can tell this is going to be a great fic, and I loved the little Ryhiri moment
Thanks, there is plenty of ryhiri to go around in this fic.

RE: Between Love and Hate III: Whatever It Takes (9/18!!)
Post Two:
Tahiri finished zipping up the dark blue, low cut, empire-waist, bridesmaids dress that had taken 3 hours to decide on. Leia had paid for a hairstylst and a make-up artist come in to do the girls and they had taken 3 hours to primp Tahiri. Iif she had had to sit in that chair one more second Tahiri might have impaled them with her lightsaber. She had to admit that her hair never looked better. They had washed it, dried it, curled it and then put all this glittery gel in it, and that stuff smelled really good. Rynna’s hair was done in a smiliar fashion, except it was so much longer than Tahiri’s shoulder length bob, that they held a lot of it back in a clip behind her shoulders. Running her fingers through her too perfect hair to fluff it up abit, Tahiri looked in the mirror and barely recognized herself. She was by far the most girly she had ever been in her whole life. Thank the maker, that Jaina had decided that the dresses would be long enough to cover their feet so I don’t have to wear shoes, Tahiri thought wiggling her toes underneath her dress. Wandering down the hall she ran into Jacen holding the hands of his two adorable daughters.
“Tahiri,” they sequeled running towards her in their white and blue flower girl dresses. She knelt down and enveloped the three-year-olds into a hug.
“You two look so pretty,” She told them holding them at arm’s lengths so she could look at their dresses. They giggled, and Tahiri took their hands as they walked down to Jaina’s room.
“How’s Tenel Ka,” Tahiri asked wondering what the media circus was like.
“She doing well. Anora and the rest of security managed to slip her in one of the backdoors so that the media hounds couldn’t get more pregnant pictures of her. I think she’s in with Leia getting her hair done.”
“You know they set up holocam’s yestarday night. When Ryker and I arrived this morning at 10 they were already here. At least, I’m not a big enough name to cause too much of a stir they just snapped a few pictures of me. Although I heard some reporter stating how I was Jaina’s bridesmaid.” Tahiri laughed walking into Jaina’s room, which was a mess.
“I don’t know what I’m doing,” She shouted throwing her veil onto a chair. Tahiri surpressed a laugh, knowing that would only make Jaina worse. Tahiri tossed Jacen one of those help your sister looks, and she took Astria and Anora to the couch in the back of the room. After several minutes, Jaina had been calmed down; Jacen had left to go down to Zekk’s room; Rynna had arrived and was now helping Tahiri try to afix Jaina’s veil to her in some way that would be suitable, which was proving difficult.
“Why even wear it?” Tahiri snapped after it fell off Jaina’s head yet again.
“You know. It’s my wedding day and I’m not going to.” She stated tossing it into the corner. “It will just make it eaiser for the media to get my pictures.”
“Speaking of which. The media zoo started so guests must have started to arrive,” Rynna said pearing out the window. “Which means one hour until show time. Are you nervous?”
“I feel like I should be, but I’m not. I think the force always had this in plan.” She said trying to sit down in her dress which was proving more difficult than she originally thought.
“Oh my God! That’s Booster Terrik and Talon Karrde.” Rynna gushed looking back out the window, “I didn’t know your family was friends with them.”
Jaina and Tahiri laughed. It was easy to forget how well connected they really were, Tahiri thought.
“Yeah, My dad is old friends with both of them.” She said going over to the window and watching the camera’s click away. “Look Kyp and Miko are here.” Tahiri pointed out joining them at the window. Astria and Aolani came running to see their friend, but were just too short to see out the window. Tahiri pulled over a chair for them to stand on.
“Oh no, is that the Thuls?” Rynna groaned, having broken up with Raynar Thul just over 3 years ago.
“We couldn’t not invite them without looking like we were snubbing them. Their family is Alderaanian nobility. Zekk and I went to the jedi temple with Raynar, and he was on the Mykrr strike team with us. Trust me when I say that having them here was not my idea.” Jaina stated, “Is Raynar still calling you?”
“He stopped for awhile, but I got a com a couple weeks ago and it reaked of Raynar.” She sighed, “Did they have to come in the traditional Thul colors?”
Tahiri snickered. “They do kind of clash with the blue and yellow theme of the wedding.”
“Where are my princess?” Tenel Ka asked from the doorway accompanied by Kyp and Miko. They two little girls screamed and ran towards there very pregnant mother. It was the first time Tahiri had really got to see Tenel Ka really pregnant, and Tahiri thought she did a lovely job covering it in her dark green empire-waist dress. Kyp gave Jaina a kiss on the cheek as Miko ran towards her looking adorable in his little tux.
“You look pretty,” Miko said to her blushing profusely. Jaina bent down and gave her godson a kiss on the cheek making him turn even more pink than he already was.
“Your parents are out feilding questions from reporters. Don’t worry I took your dad’s blaster away from him.” Kyp stated after seeing the worried look on Jaina’s face when her father and reporters came up in the same sentence.
“I saw Wes Janson posing for the holocam earlier. I think he forgot that he topped the most eligible bachelor list over 15 years ago.” Mara said entering the room and eveloping her neice in a hug. The list of people entering the room grew over the next few minutes until the room was almost too full with people wishing Jaina well, and telling her how beautiful she looked. Twenty minutes before the wedding was set to start, Jacen stuck his head to clear out the crowd. Tahiri sighed deeply, and handed Jaina her bouquet of yellow roses and blue lillies. “Ready,” She asked her.
“For the wedding: yes. For the Holocams: not so much.” Jaina said taking the flowers, and grinning for Tahiri and Rynna. Rynna peered out the doorway to make sure Zekk wasn’t around, after giving the all clear the three women accompained by Astria and Aolani down the stairs to the waiting room outside of the grand ballroom that had been set up for the wedding.
“There’s like a million people in there,” Rynna said, watching Astria and Aolani go down the aisle and suddenly feeling very nervous about doing this.
“Including at least three heads of state, one queen mother, and the entire jedi order. Blame my mother for that, but don’t worry everyone’s going to be staring at Jaina.” Jacen said appearing at the other side of the doorway with Ryker and his Father in tow. Ryker beamed taking in an eyeful of his girlfreind in her bridesmaids dress. Tahiri blushed slightly but it didn’t last long. Thirty seconds later, Rynna was being escorted down the aisle on Ryker’s arm and Tahiri was standing next to Jacen about to do the same. Tahiri looped her arms in Jacen’s and gave him a half-hearted smile. In one fell swoop they were up the aisle and Tahiri was taking her position in front of Ryker.
Jaina looked up at her father, who somehow looked scruffy even in the tux, and asked him if he was ready.
“To give you to that street-rat, cargo hualing, wanna-be flyboy jedi?” he asked incrediously. “Never baby, but since you seem to love him.”
Jaina couldn’t help it, she started laughing and crying all at the same time. She threw her arms around her father. “I love you, daddy.” Han beamed as he scooped his daughter into a hug. Wiping the tears from her eyes, “Did I smudge my make-up?” she asked.
“You look beautiful princess.” He told her. “and we might want to get this show on the road. Unless you’d like to back out now? We can make a break for it. Kyp took my good blaster, but I have a spare hidden.” Jaina laughed at her father, took his arm and started her walk down the asile. Don’t look around, she told herself as the walk up the aisle felt like it had taken two days. And then she saw Zekk’s glowing face looking back at her, and everything else in the world faded away and she just smiled back.

Aww! This post was awesome! Poor Raynar, hung up on Rynna. *Sigh* Poor guy, there. Nice descriptions of the wedding attire, btw. It's so nice to see everyone
happy
for a change!
And a surprise? Is she pregnant? A clone? Ack! Can't wait to see!
And yes, Rose. I
did
read the post.

hello, maybe I'll have time for a proper review later, but right now I have some big school projects going. I'm glad your going on with this story, thanks for the p.m. I will try to catch up later. Good stuff though.

“To give you to that street-rat, cargo hualing, wanna-be flyboy jedi?” he asked incrediously. “Never baby, but since you seem to love him.”
Ahh, that is just like any father but one with an extra blaster and an escape route all planned out. I want Raynar and Rynna to get back together because I love how their names are almost the same. Raynar is desperately in love and that would make an interesting side story.
A surprise!! Is Jaina pregnant? If she is Han is not going to be happy and the press will have a field day. Sooooo, any Ryker and Tahiri episodes soon?
