He smiled a little as he thought of Jaina as Mrs. Zekk with no last name. He hadn’t decided what he wanted to do about that. He was tempted to take a trip to Ennth to search the hall of records for his parents or his birth record, but he doubted that they hadn’t been destroyed in the last flood, earthquake, whatever had hit it in the last eight years. He had also thought about taking Jaina’s last name but he wasn’t sure he was ready to do that, let alone what Jaina’s parents would think.
I really like that you've put in the dilemma of Zekk's last name  His thought process is well done, and it's nice to see him weighing up every option available, even that of becoming a "Solo".
“She’s fine. There are some complications. Clighal will be able to explain those once the nurses get done with her. You have a completely healthy baby boy. He’s got ten fingers, ten toes and a mop of blond hair.” Mara said, anticipating Jacen’s question. He got up from the chair without a word, hugged his aunt and walked into the room with his wife.
Yay! So glad she and the baby are ok.  And blonde hair? How cute!! 
“I wish I had better news for you,” Clighal sighed. “Even if I had gotten here sooner, there wouldn’t be anything I could have done. It seems that something ruptured, but the doctors couldn’t pinpoint what or why. The swelling has subsided now, but the doctors don’t think you will be able to have anymore children, and I would have to agree that it’s in your best interest.”
Oh.  So not all good news then.
“He does look like what I imagine you did as a baby,” Mara ribbed Luke a little.
Hehe.. love the little L/M sweetness there.
But I'm concerned about what Anakin said, and what's in store for them all..  It can't be good, and I fear something bad will be in store for Rykiri, too.
Thanks for the PM, and the update!! It's great to see a new post to this lovely story.

RK_Striker_JK_5 -Hmm, great Jacen and Tenel Ka's son is born grin ... but troubling, this vision is. worried I'm glad Tenel Ka's all right, too. Such a cute baby. happy And ouch on the zForce pain, too!
don't worry i won't be killing off tenel ka anytime soon, but never say never with me 
ZebulaNebula - Uh oh ... eeevil cliffie. Don't mind the wait ... December was heck for me too, and you didn't really leave us hanging. What is up with Tenel Ka ... and what was with that vision eerily similar to Luke's right before Ben was born?
Edit: and much more than three kids is too many. TK's new infertility is actually a mixed blessing, IMHO.
I totally even forgot about luke's vision right before ben was born, but i guess its kinda of a nice parallel. Yeah, some people think 3 kids is just about perfect, but i don't know i think every person has to figure out how many kids they are willing to deal with.
Stookymalarkey - A cute little chapter, even though Tenel Ka got a hell of a C-section. I liked how you mentioned Luke dying 3 times, as I'm sure he probably has zombie status by now. I remember that he died in Courtship of Princess Leia, and before that he croaked temporarily in Alan Dean Foster's first book (I don't remember it's name but it came out before Empire Strikes Back) but I don't remember the third time. Are you talking about his coma during the Jedi Academy trilogy or is there another story that I don't remember.
I don't actually know how many times luke's has died in the books, i figured 3 sounded about right. He almost dies like every other book. I like to take little potshots at the canon authors cause its funny.
Jaya Solo -Great post! I read the post before last but never seemed to post on it. I'm glad the baby was born! You surprised me though. I thought they were going to name him Anakin since he talked to his brother right before he named the boy. Very good, happy posts
I just didn't see Jacen naming his son Anakin. It's totally something i could see Jaina or Tahiri doing but not jacen. He just wasn't as close to anakin, imo.

thanks, i thought lucas was an appropriate name for the baby. plus it saved me alot of time trying to come up with something else inventive.

Its sort of an unanswered question for me. Does he have a last name and just doesn't remember? do they not have last names on enneth? and i can't leave it alone, but i also can't decide what to do about it either. do i give him a last name or do i make him a solo cause it's funnier?

Well its good you should be concerend cause that why he gave them a warning, and trouble is ahead for ryhiri. But it wouldn't be a very good story if there was no conflict at all right?

Hey guys, I'm back with a new computer which hopefully will mean more posts more often. Although i have yet to upload word onto it, so who knows yet? anways onto the post! We get to meet Ryker's best friend and he's just as interesting.
Post three:
Ryker relaxed in what was soon to be his office. It currently held the remnants of Jaina’s belongings-apparently she had known about the promotion far in advance, because half of her stuff had already been moved out. Ryker was unsure how he hadn’t noticed Jaina moving all this stuff out already. He was already thinking of plans for rearranging the furniture and had been considering painting the room anything besides this awful off-white shade the walls currently were. He hoped Jaina didn’t want the chairs; they were far superior to the chairs in his small wall-closet of an office. Propping his feet up on the cluttered desk, he leaned back and noticed a file with his name on it. Wondering how he hadn’t noticed it before, he leaned over and grasped the file in his hand. He paused only for a split-second before opening up the file to find out what Jaina had wrote about him. The moment lasted only a second as the first thing in the file was a note from Jaina.
I knew you couldn’t resist sitting it what would be your office soon. I also knew that you wouldn’t be able to keep your hands off a folder with your name on it. So, since you’re in my office reading your folder, you can get to work. You can finish cleaning out my office and moving it upstairs to room 418-C. Malou-Ra has put in to be transferred to training and simulation, which will go through next week so you need to find another person to be your second in command. Zuhan has three weeks of vacation coming up, so you’re going to be short two pilots. I left a packet of candidates I think would be good additions to the team with detailed notes. I also left a list of things that need to be done, including maintenance reviews on all of the x-wings. So stop thinking about rearranging the furniture or the next time you get to see Tahiri and get to work!
Hours later Ryker had finished most of the tasks Jaina had laid out for him. He had packed her stuff away in boxes in her new office, and rearranged the furniture in the office. He felt a slight twinge of disobedience by doing something not on Jaina’s list. Then he ordered the maintenance reviews for the x-wings. He left detailed notes for the mechanics on the particulars of each X-wing’s pilot, their specialties and the last modifications made to the ship. He went over the candidates packets separating them into three piles for later review with his team. He finished running the new modules, running on overview on upcoming missions and even finished a crossword puzzle on his lunch break. His comm buzzed for the umpteenth reminding him that it was Wednesday night and he had a previous engagement. He hated the planner feature on that thing, but it was probably the only way he remembered to do anything. As it buzzed again, Ryker got fed up taking it off his belt and tossing it onto the table in front of him. Only then did he realize it was Tahiri buzzing through.
“Hey sweetheart,” he said, clicking it on.
Tahiri laughed. Trying not to sound flirtatious, “Hey, long day at work?”
“Yeah, Jaina keeps me busy even on her honeymoon. She left me a work list nothing short of a kilometer long. I’m surprised she didn’t want me to pick up her dry-cleaning and water her plants.”
“Jaina doesn’t keep plants. She tends to kill them. Anyways, I’m calling on an official work-capacity kind of. Jaina is still on Hapes with her brother and the baby. Luke, Mara and Clighal are back already here, and Luke says Jaina should be coming home soon. If I know Jaina she expects that whole list done by the time she comes back so you have till tomorrow afternoon to get it finished.”
Ryker laughed, knowing that Tahiri was right, and that her official work capacity was keeping him in line so Jaina didn’t have to. He began doodling on a spare sheet of flimsplant as they talked about when the next time they could see each other. Days turned into weeks and then months, and Ryker sighed realizing that the two of them would be thirty before they saw each other again. Then Ryker suddenly snapped to attention. “What time is it?”
“It’s 10:15 here, that makes it…”
“7:15 here, I have to go-I’m supposed to be meeting someone,” Ryker sighed.
“Your other girlfriends are waiting on you?” Tahiri teased.
“Yep, but I promise you’re the prettiest. Miss you, and I’ll talk to you soon.” Ryker said before clicking his comm off. He grabbed his coat off the chair opposite him and rushed out the door.
Twenty minutes later, he came strolling through a bar on the outskirts of the government complex. It was filled with pilots, assistants, airway controllers, mechanics and other random people who worked in the complex. Ryker threw his jacket on the back of a barstool and hopped up next to a blond Intel officer.
“You’re late again. I ordered you a fiery ronto. Talking to your girlfriend again?”
“Ever the cynic, Bryse.” Ryker snorted, “And actually, yes.”
Bryse turned towards his childhood friend and eyed him. It was weird to see Ryker with any girl for more than a month and bordering on seven month was almost enough to send Bryse into cardiac arrest. The fact that Ryker was actually using the term girlfriend was enough for Bryse to signal the bartender to keep the drinks coming. The last time Bryse had seen the word girlfriend come out of Ryker’s mouth was high school when he was dating Luella Nuwyn. Finishing off the last of his whiskey, Bryse choose to snort instead of responding.
Ryker’s mouth turned upwards slightly as he recognized Bryse’s ‘I’m not getting into this topic snort’. Opting to change the subject, Ryker asked how work was going which turned into a lengthy discussion of what is was like to work for the heroes of the New Republic and the saviors of the Yuuzhan Vong War. Some hours later, Ryker and Bryse stumbled into a cab and made their way back to their apartment buildings. They mashed the buttons on the lift until they got their respective floors right and then crawled their way to bed. Ryker’s head hit the pillow and it was morning before he knew it.

Ohhh boy ... Jaina's quite the slave driver ... nice trick with the folder though. Tahiri and Ryker won't see each other until they're thirty? Dang ... they're both like 28, right? Good to see Ryker catching up with a very old friend, though.
