	Title: The Life and Times of Lintai Skywalker Author: Lightsaber123 Characters: Lintai Skywalker, her family, friends, enemies, and others who might have an interest in her destiny. Timeframe: Beyond The Saga Notes: This is my attempt for the Ultimate Drabble Part II, Darth Mu has given me all of his rights to the OC known as Lintai Skywalker, since I coveted her for so long. The Life and Times of Lintai Skywalker Week 1 Themes 1. Smooth 2. Rough 3. Dry 4. Wrinkled 5. Weathered Smooth Our little girl came home. Wrapped around the old robe, she looked young and innocent. Looking at her, you would never believe it's the same woman who caused so much anguish and harm to the billions in the galaxy. While she slept soundly on that smooth surface in medbay, I was almost overcome by an urge to destroy her. In a way I think I blame her for your leaving me. I teach my students every day the danger of the Dark Side, but I just don't know what to think in her case. Deena says I'm a smooth liar. Rough I called him a liar today. The fact is he was brutally honest with others. Our marriage was rough at the beginning, what with the other woman. Luke never got over Callista's departure, and in many ways our marriage was a Public Relations gesture. He never talked about his children from his previous marriage, though I know they exist. There were rumors concerning them among the locals. I don't know whether to believe them or not. To hear them utter their unanimous hatred and the occasional lewd suggestions on what ought to be done to them can be too much. Dry I sat through another dry lecture by Ms. Veila. For the greater part of the class I doodled in the margins of the textbook, and wondered at the importance, or lack thereof, of learning ancient Vong. Before the class could end, I was called upon to answer a question that I never heard. Panic set in, and I felt like a dry desert with twin suns bearing down at me, twisting out all moisture. Sweat beads formed upon my brow, and I began to mutter, but was saved from further embarrassment by the intercom. I met Ella, my half sister. Wrinkled We woke up in our old Room. We woke why woke up in. My old room. I woke up in my old room. It looks like. I never left. There it was on the wall, Jik the Hapan Dragon that Could, and the picture of Xixi and I as toddlers, clutching our grandmother's lightsabers, doing our best to poke a hole into each other. Dad came in to visit after the operation. I think he cried when he realized it wasn't entirely successful. I'll have these wrinkly compound eyes till the day they burn me, for such is my fate. Weathered An infiltrator managed to bypass the Ossian grid and made landfall. Cursing her lack of a right arm, the figure brushed away some traces of what might have been copper hair, and started to crawl on all threes. Making remarkable progress, she reached the entrance. Seha Dorvald was taken from behind. She put up a struggle, and for a moment had the upper hand, her left hand millimeters from the alarm, when a well-timed Force Lightning struck her windpipe. 	Interesting start. I like the idea of the Hapan Battle Dragon that Could children's book. 	To this week's drabbles, yes It can be found in Oqidaun's OC Decapitation o rama thon thread in Resources. It can be found on the latest page, the 16th post down (or at the current time, second post from the bottom). Now, when I say it is a sequel, I lied, it's not a direct sequel per se. You can think of the vig in the Decapitation o rama thon as a prequel from a 'parallel' universe. Before you ask, I'm not telling if Luke's head is cut off in that vig or not. (It's like that ending in one of my favourite books, Flying Fox from the Snowy Mountains). Will she do it or not? Hehehehe Kudos if you get the reference without HTR. Edit: and gosh, I do pick on Seha Dorvald a lot don't I? It's like I hate her guts or something. I should, and will, give the poor girl a break. Seha fans will be glad to know that originally I contemplated having her being abducted by this mystery intruder (jeez, I wonder who has coppery hair and only one arm, for the life of me I can't tell, jeez who culd it be, [face shurgs]). But I digress. Anyway, saved from being abducted and made a Joiner, I proceeded to have her killed out right by the assailant. Then finally I had her suffer permanent brain damage. 	Hi, another week, another set of drabbles. These drabbles aren't prequels or sequels to eachother in the strictest sense, but rather, they are photographic shots of the times during Lintai's tragedy laden life. Enjoy this week's drabble! The Sets 6. Jedi 7. Sith 8. Soldier 9. Civilian 10. Politician === Jedi Eight years ago The energy beam flashed past Lintai's head. There was no pain, just a windy sensation near her right ear. The brown lock of hair reluctantly fell on the ground after a vain battle with gravity. Inner tears of joy welled up in her heart, while her visual orifices remained as dry as sand. Through the twin bond, she felt an embrace, and returned the gesture. Patiently she waited for Luke Skywalker, the Grand Master, to distribute the equipment needed to make their new lightsabers. Things were changed forever. She was now a Jedi Knight of the Republic. Sith Lintai activated her lightsaber a split second before Xin did. She took comfort in the gentle hum of the deadly weapon. Letting the Force flowing through her as she performed another calming technique. "Our usual routine, or something fancy?"Xin asked her sister. Her face was flushed, and perspiration ran down the tournesolan face. Lintai knew she was doing her best to stay calm: her best friend Tenel Ka has already fallen before the older of the twins arrived at the battle. "Your destiny lies with me, young Skywalkers", the Sith drawled before brandishing an unusual weapon, a light hook. Soldier "Davin, time for breakfast." Cherith Fel knocked on the wooden door. Silence "If you don't open up, I'm going to knock the door down," Cherith said, "Now, we don't want that, do we?" Silence still. Deciding enough was enough, Cherith hacked the lock. The effort cost her five minutes, but at least it will let her enter the room. No one breaks a door in the Fel household, and Davin must have decided to call her bluff. Unbeknownst to Davin, Cherith learnt a few tricks. One look around the room and Cherith muttered, "Boy, am I going to get it!" Civilian "We are gathered here today..." * Callista was being watched. The five of them were spread out around the bar. There was the Defel playing Sabaac with his Duros pal in the center table, the Bith musicians in the corner, and the lone Rodian. They made up an interesting group. While they are doing their best to not be obtrusive and act civilian like, Callista knew they were mercenaries hired by Faskus. They had one purpose: murder. * "Let them speak now..." * The five moved toward their target. * "...kiss the bride, Master Skywalker." *** "Luke" was the last thought flashing through her mind. Politician --"Chief Fey'lya, is it true about the Fifth fleet?" --"Chief, Do you blame Admiral Ackbar for the Fifth Fleet's demise?" --"Do you feel that Minister Rodan is incompetent?" "No comment!"The Bothan screeched through his clenched teeth, his pink fur rippling, as he made his way toward the Jedi Temple. How could this all have happened? The entire Navy cadre should be hung! The Killiks call themselves the Kind, but they are just insects, to be squashed, and now, they were obliterating Fey'lya's image as a productive leader in a time of Peace. 	Wielder of the All Mighty Spork: I am glad you liked Jedi and Civilian. My favourite was Civilian as well, and Jedi was fun to write. It's heartening and melancholic at the same time. SilSolo: Tenel Ka was being unconscious on the ground. As for whether she will fall to the dark side, I suggest you take a very close reading at "Weathered" from Week 1, and maybe give decapitation o ramathon another reading. 	Hi, everyone, this post contains week 3 drabbles. The themes were 1. Mother 2. Father 3. Sister 4. Brother 5. Friend Mother Callista felt comfortable. A smile sneaked across her countenance. Everything was perfect. The entire Galaxy seemed to be at peace at the moment, just for her. She suspected the fact that she was currently in the arms of the Jedi Master Luke Skywalker had something to do with it. After so long a struggle, they were finally able to be together. she can't wait to share the good news with him. "Luke, I want you to know,"Callista started, "I don't know how to say this poetically, so I'll just say it." The blushing woman lowered her head. "I'm pregnant." Father "Linny, Happy Lifeday!" No, it was too cliche. "Lin, Look what I got? Mr. Gangun!" No. It sounded like he was talking to a toddler. Then he realized in his eyes, his first born daughter Lintai never did grow up, and that murderer in Linny's room killed her, and he'll never get the chance to see Lintai growing up... damn her for everything... Luke Skywalker prepared himself for what he must do. His target walked out, catching him in an embrace. "Daddy, you remembered! Thank you! What holofilm should we go to this year?" "The Eye of Palpatine" "My favourite." Sister "Thanks for taking me out to the movies again, Dad, it was great." "No problem Lin," Luke said. "I like how I was portrayed in it. I was never that good looking," Here he paused and added almost like an afterthought, "or so athletic." The farmboy turned Jedi smiled despite himself. The two of them reached Lintai's quarters. Silence reigned for a moment. "So, Happy Lifeday." Luke said. "Thank you daddy." Lintai clasped Luke's hand, and gave it a squeeze, before turning away. Inside the room, Lintai dropped down on the floor and sobbed, "Xin, Xin. Why you? Why me?" Brother Chime. Lintai pulled on the brown robe across her body. Tying a loose belt across the robe, she stood up and reached to activate the unlock mechanism. Before she could pull the door open, the door was kicked in. The assassin drew the lightsaber in a flash. The sash was cut, and the robe fell open. The assassin paused and stared ahead for a moment before kicking Lintai in the stomach. With a yelp, Lintai fell on the bed. "You're short for a Gorog." Lintai said. The figure pulled down its hood. "I'm Obi-Wan Skywalker, I'm here to kill you." Friend "Hello Skywalker." "Shira?" Luke turned. Surprised to see one of his oldest friends at his door. "What are you doing here?" "What, I'm not allowed to drop in and say hello to a friend anymore?" The redhead tipped her head to the side, "You just gonna let me catch cold at your door?" "No, of course not. Come in." "Heard about Lintai. Congratulations." "Thanks." "Shira? You remember that vision, about one possibility, in which we wed? I've been thinking about it a lot lately, and it was selfishness, and..." "Luke. How about take me out to dinner?" Shira said nonchalantly. 	you've got a lot of things going on in here, these characters have obviously been tortured beyond belief, and are broken bloody messes, struggling to recover who and what they are. 	Hey, they're up! I really liked Father - it was so poignant. And for a moment I thought that Lintai was really dead. Thank goodness she isn't really. I also really liked Brother.
