	Kidan It was Thanksgiving, I was going to write a fluffy piece where all the characters (relatively) enjoyed themselves during a holiday. I failed. Have you noticed that the genres of drabbles seems to defy all good fluff writing and good lightsaber combat and good depictions of everything that is essential to plot development? Wielder of the All Mighty Spork Thanks a lot! Father and Brother sections were fun to write, and I'm glad that you enjoyed them. The Brother sections would have benefited from better description though. It's supposed to have mush as well as action. I hope it worked. (I can just hear the exclamations of Mush? Where?!) I guess the writing of friend to depict a Luke / Shira scene was to convey the notion that Lintai just didn't have any friends of her own. I can admit that any scene is hard to write in this format, but that's part of the usefulness of this format. 	Lightsaber123: You should just know that I actually thought "Mush, where?" when I first read that comment, even before I got to the end. Great minds think alike huh? You could always turn it into a full fledged fic or a vignette if you feel like you could have given Brother some more attention. That would actually be a cool thing to see. But you'd have to be careful and not go overboard. I think it benefits from the sparsity of description - it only heightens the surprise if you're left as much in the dark as Lintai is. I also love the nod to that rescue scene in ANH. I'm a sucker for things like that. And I do have to say that I'm beginning to grow fond of her character with each set of drabbles. Lintai said. The figure pulled down its hood. "I'm Obi-Wan Skywalker, I'm here to kill you." nice complement to the movies "Luke. How about take me out to dinner?" As for the Brother Vig/Short Story/Novel, let's wait on that. Sil No, you are right, Xin is dead. See one of the possible way she died, consult Darth Mu's "What do we Do Now?" vig. I won't say that that was exactly how she died, but jeez, I wish I wrote that. Originally, Luke was going to playfully say to Shira "I thought I was the one doing the seduction." But alas, I ran out of space. darn drabbles. Anyway, let's say Luke is thankful that Mrs. Luke Skywalker does not know the extent of the L/S relationship. 	Hello people, This is week 4 of the drabbles The Themes Are: Shuttle Fighter Freighter Capital Ship Space Station Shuttle I willed my eyes to focus, and miraculously, after so many vain attempts, this time it worked. They focused, and Tenel Ka's pale face was inches from my own, those warm breaths I felt, they must have been hers. "Lintai, you've come around at last. Thank the Force," she hugged me close. My mouth felt like it had sands in them, I tried to form the words, but they wouldn't come. "We're out of the Planet's gravity field," TK said, "The worst is past us now. We can send for help as soon as we reach Sullust." "Xin," I murmured. Fighter Xin was always fond of X-Wings. One day, our parents were out, so I invited Tahiri over for a party while I was supposedly babysitting. That was the last time I was allowed to do so, and afterwards, Tahiri babysat me, the shame of it. But to add insult to injury, while I was having a cup of 'Kuati Tea', the baby smashed my brand new TIE fighter model, her X-Wing got out of that battle undamaged. Our parents came home, I was weeping in the corner, she babbled, "Xin, Xin!" All the while throwing my Tiey out the window. Freighter UnuSky rubbed her forearms against the Wuluw. Out of her trachea she emitted a few clicks, and the Wuluw purred, and moaned. The Prime Unu stood up slowly from her command chair. So it was true. The Prime Lizil's StealthX was not simply missing, it never returned from that routine supply run. Something's happened to her. UnuSky knew, she no longer felt the Prime's Force signature. The Lizil nest will need a new Prime. A Taat stood out from her entourage. Unusky grasped its right antenna. Wynssa Fel arrived on Csilla, in a freighter that had been missing for months. Capital Ship "I know who you are, so there's no point in resisting." The masked man said to the bound woman. If the organism being addressed could be classified as a woman. She beared a row of teeth, behind her mandibles, and hissed. "We enjoyed killing her, you know, We heard her begging for mercy, to see you for a last time before she died. We slit her throat ourselves." Davin was silent, the woman continued. "Release us now, or our ship will destroy this planet, with you on it." Davin Fel, saying nothing, calmly cut off a mandible from his captive. Space Station UnuSky saw the last of the capital ships retreating and jumping to hyperspace. The New Republic Carriers in their hurry to avoid certain destruction abandoned entire squadrons of fighters. Most of the fighters, seeing the hopelessness of their situation, surrendered. Yet, there was one more Squadron left in the fight. UnuSky was sad to see that the Squadron was not the Rogues. The elites jumped ages ago, leaving the true heroes, the destroyed, unsung heroes. Now I'm regretting it. Please don't kill her off? Please? Well of course! I mean, you've got so many other things to think about. Week 4: I'm slightly confused here. I take it that Lintai has been turned into a Killik? And that UnuSky is indeed Lintai? Just clearing a few things up. Fighter: I loved this one because you could really see her personality shine through in first person. Her connection with Tenel Ka is interesting too. How do they know each othr? Through Allana? Freighter: [face_shocked] Little Wyn a bug hugger?! Capital Ship: This one was my favorite. I'm going to assume that the woman being held captive is either Lintai or Lumiya, and the woman being spoken about either Wyn or Cherith. But I could really feal the raw emotion there. Davin was a little scary! I certainly wouldn't want to be on the wrong end of his charric. Space Station: A third Death Star? A pink X-Wing? Very intriguing. 	Wielder of the All Mighty Spork 1) Yes, UnuSky is Lintai. Week 1 drabbles were scenes where she has been recovered by Luke, and had surgery like Canon!Jaina had surgery. As I said, the drabbles jumps all over the place. Sorry for any confusion Shuttle This is a scene where Lintai and TK are escaping from the Killiks in a shuttle, where an unknown accident has just occured. Xin is still on the planet, with the bugs. In a missing scene, Lintai will overpower the shuttle pilot in a bid to recover her sister, allowing the shuttle to be turned around, and allowing the Killiks to disable the shuttle, making it crash... Thereby sealing the our there heroine's fate. Fighter I kind of imagine Lintai and Tahiri be about the same age, with Xin younger by about a few years or so. Lintai know Tahiri because they're classmates at the academy. Lintai knows Tenel Ka because TK is Xin's best friend. Freighter Nah, If there's one thing I can't ever do, it's hurting Wynssa. No, recall Xin made a promise to Jag before both of them perished. Nope, Wynssa is still Wynssa Fel, not WynTaat or WynLizil... shudders. (Although I'll admit the way the drabble came out, it would be reasonable to assume Wynssa became the Prime Lizil, but hey, it's me. ) Whether she will be ostracized by the Chiss society because of her capture and let go by the bugs, is anothe question. Capital Ship I'm so very sorry The woman being bound is actually SkyLizil aka Xin Skywalker. the woman spoken about is herself. Xin's messing with Davin's mind. FYI Davin is trying to be Xin's boyfriend. (Xin's got the hots for Jag, and Jag loves her back, but Davin is our Charlie Brown, and Xin is his little red haired girl.) He's trying to save Xin, and contrary to his bluff, he really does not know whom he captured. All he knows is that he's got a real important gal, way up there in the Killik hiearchy. Space Station Yep, another DEATH STAR, I figured that with Lintai's brains and her love for history, it's only a matter of time before she organized the killiks to make another DEATH STAR. 	Week 5 Burn It was an inferno. The smoke was unbearable as Lintai coughed violently. Chak had never felt more helpless. “Push! Push damn you!” The doctor growled lustily. The Bothans had set fire to the wroshyr trees. They didn't care that twenty seven Wookiee younglings were sharing the tree with his wife. They are driven mad by their ar'krai. They want only vengeance. Things couldn't be worse. Chak had promised his sister to before she died to save his wife. Now, it didn't seem so simple anymore. The trees keeps on burning. “She's gone into some kind of damn arrest!” Zuramook said. Rash “Hush little baby don't you cry, daddy's going to buy you a bantha cub, and if that bantha cub don'--” Luke sang as he applied the powder liberally. “Uh oh, your mother's home. Hide!” Lintai moved quickly, carrying the baby into the closet. “Hi, Luke. Did you and Lintai break anything while I was gone?” “No, Callista, nice to see you too.” Luke said, kissing his wife. Mmm... Callista unwrapped her shawl, and pushed Luke toward the bed. The idyllic moment was broken almost immediately. “Oh, the Force, why is the room smelling like it's been dunked in rash powder?” Surgery “Scalpel.” The desired instrument was instantly in the Mon Calamarian hands. Cilghal moved quicky and efficiently over the operating table. Luke Skywalker watched from outside the room through the transparent observation window. Cilghal had said that the surgery would only take five hours, but Luke had been standing here for almost eight. Luke wasn't sure when, but eventually someone touched his shoulder. Deena was by his side. A voice inside his head screamed for the wrongness of it all. It should be Callista by his side, and he had betrayed her. “I love you Luke,” Deena whispered in his ear. Hurt “She sent him to kill me ddin't she?” The burgundy eye changed colour to brown for a moment before reverting to their original colour. The human threatened to release its tear. “No, please don't think that,” Luke hugged his daughter, “Ben would never consciously hurt you.” “Oh I'm so grateful that I was almost decapitated by my unconscious half brother.” I should tell her, thoght Luke, but instead he said, “I really wish you would get along with eachother. But your mom really wants to know her daughter, how about joining us for dinner? You haven't--” “Mom's dead.” Lintai said. Heal Luke put his hands on the door. “Lisi, I know you are in there. Let me in.” It had been days since Lintai returned from her first mission. Not even Xin had been able to draw her out. As far as Luke knew, she didn't even have a drop of water in that period. Luke just hope that given time Lintai would be able to heal sufficiently to want to become a Jedi again. 	Week 6 Shirt “Don't go,” Lintai said as she put up one arm on the bed, “It's early yet.” “I have to.” Chak Fel insisted. Putting on his shirt, he bent down to caress Lintai's eyelids. “I'll see you again in a few months.” “You won't forget me?” Lintai asked. “Of course not.” Chak said, “I don't forget my debts.” He put on his flight helmet. “Is there nothing more between us?” Lintai was crestfallen, Chak spent the night chatting with her because he felt indebted to her. “Tai, I-- I gotta go.” Chak left quickly. A few minutes later he was airborne. Pants “Let's see, one dress and two pair of pants. The total comes up to 430 credits.” The store owner said matter of factly. “We'll take it!” Xin said excitedly. “No, we won't.” Lin stopped the toydarian from writing the receipt. “Xin, mom and dad said nothing more than 200 credits!” Xin began to pout. “You're just mean! Mom and Dad always buy you fancy stuff!” Any moment now, Lintai knew Xin would work the pumps. “How about we take only the pants?” Lin said soothingly, “the pants looks nicer than the dress.” “Then I want that lollipop!” “Fine.” Lintai said. Dress “You look beautiful.” Xin said to her sister on her wedding day. Lintai blushed, and kissed her sister on the cheeks. “Almost time, sweetheart,” Luke Skywalker, dressed in a Corellian suit, looked very much uncomfortable. Personally, I can't wait for the --” “The cake?” Callista Skywalker walked in the room. Luke ignored his wife and turned to his daughter C'mon Lin, the Solos are waiting. I want to see what this Jacen of yours look like And that's when I woke from the vision. Something that should have come to pass, but never would. I should have bought her that dress. Uniform “Come to Csilla with me! My father would love to meet you.” Chak just don't understand. Eventually, he said, “What's keeping you here?” “Xin.” I lie. “Xin?” I thought you bearly speak to eachother now.” Chak can be so difficult sometimes. “Our relationship could be better,” I admitted, mainitaining my lie, “It's complicated.” “Complicated how?” Chak said, “You always said that no good Pellaeon seduced her. I mean, I saw you called her a Sith in love with the Imperials to her face. That she abandoned her uniform-- oh. “It's the uniform isn't it?” He asks. He figured it out. Cloak “I have been waiting for you.” The dark figure in the cloak said. “Am I supposed to be impressed?” He has me at a disadvantage. Or Maybe he is just messing with my minds. Like Dad warned me countless of times. “No, but it would help.” He released a web of electricity toward me. I ignite the lightwhip, a gift, from an old friend. His eyes sent out beams from under his dark hood. With a shoto within his grasp. He pause. “Enough!” He claps. The lights turns on from above. He lowers his hood. 	Week 7 Mouth “Genzelle!,” The housekeeper yelled, “Where are you?” Genzelle Skywalker, the daughter of Muke Skywalker, Jedi Knight, was intently listening to the wail of old Hanssa through the Force. Her little chubby fingers patted together as she laughed merrily. Little did the housekeeper know, little Genzelle has tucked herself in the attic, searching for lost treasures. She already found a triangular magic communicator (holocron), and had talked to an old beared man. The old beared man was boring. There was a dark brown haired little girl her own age though, and she said the most interesting things through her delicate mouth. Ears This has got to be the most ridiculous excuse for a make up ever. Thought Lintai as she moved about the busy Thustra Spaceport. If there's anything that could go wrong with the mission, Lintai decided, it would go wrong. And what is that constant itch? So itchy. Lintai resisted the urge to scratch her ears. Her Sephian ears. A Sephian moved toward them. “Say, your ears are like myrrah on a stick.” I am going to kill Durron. “Hello, Friend, excellent choice, her price will be a meager four thousand.” Kyp Durron is so going to pay for this. Eyes “Lookout, you got an eyeball on your tail.” Callista Ming banked her Y-Wing hard to port as a green flash engulfed her. She opened her eyes. They focused on three pairs of anxious eyes. Tears dripped down on her face. “Don't ever do that to me again!” Xin hugged her mother hard, squeezing the air out of her. “Need to breathe.” Xin, barely a toddler, jumped up on the medbed, Mom! Wanna see my TIE model?” Wincing from the pain which her youngster just unconsciously inflicted, Callista made eye contact with her husband. “Luke Skywalker, you're my only hope.” Nose Tenel Ka squeezed through the vent ducts. The murglaka escaped again. They had almost done it. The boy should have been able to kill her. But no. Something went wrong with the plan. The security has been tripled after they discovered the girl. A pity. The one good part of their face undamaged during their time with the bugs seems to be her nose. And now, thanks to a Jedi padawan with no name, that perfect part of this should have been perfect body is gone. Forever. They who should have been queen. Reduced to... what? It doesn't matter now. Hands “I was once an Emperor's hand the same as your aunt Shira.” “I wasn't always Xinge Lwera. They called me Alex Winger. Everything Alex said made sense. If only Lintai were here to guide her. “Now, you can prove your worth by stopping the girl.” “Please. Xin, don't do this. That Sith worked her alchemy on you. You're not thinking clearly.” Nelani Dinn pleaded with her one time friend, sobbing. I'm sorry Nelani, but you're a reflector who-- Xin started to raise her lightsaber. 	Week 8 Sullustan “I think I hate Sullustans.” Lintai mused as she had to nod her head once more in Professor Melv Zev's procedural class. What did I do to deserve this? Why did I pick this elective? It just isn't fair. Can you tell us the difference between procedural AZ79 and AZ7B, Miss Skywalker? Which one would you choose while fixing the hyperdrive of a freighter and which one for eating a Corellian flatbread? “Er...” “Psst. Tell him they're both the same, and there's no procedure for eating a Corellian flat bread, each one is different.” What would I do without Xin? Bothan “No one to save you now girlie.” One of the Bothan thugs said. “Oh my, what a nice little catch you are.” That's when Lintai made her move. Large Eye went down with a scream. His friends started shooting. The beams were all deflected except one, the projectile weapon shot through her right side, and exited out of Lintai's left kidney.
