	Hello again. This series of drabbles are taken from the Requiem. I found the text from choir class in high school, and there were some passages that just struck me as being perfect for LOTF-era drabbles. Most are speculation and filling in the gaps of canon. This is not following the drabble challenge– this is just my mind and my muse here, inspiring me. Original Latin text is provided along with a decent English translation. In some cases, I have only taken the plot-bunny-inspiring parts of a verse. There are going to be three posts in this series; here is part 1. Parts 2 and 3 will come hopefully in a weekly fashion. I don't know why my muse is doing this now. It's not a convenient time to have plot bunnies. Title: Requiem for a Galaxy Author: SithGirl132 Timeframe: Post-Inferno Characters: Darth Caedus, Leia, Ben, Alema- more as the story continues Genre: drama, angst 1 Dies iræ! dies illa Solvet sæclum in favilla 1 Day of wrath and terror looming! Heaven and earth to ash consuming He burned the forest of Kashyyyk. As if Jacen can’t do enough harm, he must destroy an innocent planet to feed his own evil ambition? Why? I no longer know this man; he acts nothing like my son. How many more planets will he destroy as an ‘example’ to all those who dare oppose his new Empire? Though he does not call it that, his meaning is very clear. All who do not follow him– or submit to him– will be utterly destroyed. Burned to ash. It is only a matter of time before his wrath consumes the whole galaxy. 2 Quantus tremor est futurus, quando judex est venturus, cuncta stricte discussurus! 2 What horror must invade the mind, when the approaching judge shall find, and sift the deeds of all mankind. I am the judge here now, ruler of the Galactic Alliance. There are none who can stop me anymore. I am Dark Lord of the Sith; I am all-powerful. No wonder I strike terror in so many hearts. I am well-known as being stern and willing to do anything for the sake of galactic peace and justice. Even destroy those who I love. I killed my whole family, after all. Justice needed to be done, and traitors die. That is the way of the Force. What makes anyone in the galaxy think they might be safe from me? 3 Tuba mirum spargens sonum per sepulchra regionum, coget omnes ante thronum. 3 The trumpet casts a wondrous sound, through the tombs of all around, making them the throne surround. Among the Sith tombs we hide now, learning from the new Sith. We never knew such an order existed! Why did Lumiya never tell us? Did she not trust us? We are Sith too. We are here to guard and follow Lord Caedus, to make sure that the Balance is restored and his parents suffer as necessary. For that, we wait here with the Sith and tombs. These tombs surround these Sith, waiting for their power to rise again. I can hear the call to battle now, ringing like a trumpet amongst these ancient tombs. To battle for Lord Caedus. 4 Mors stupebit et natura, cum resurget creatura, judicanti responsura. 4 Death is struck and nature quaking, all creation is awaking, to its judge an answer making. Ever since I killed Gejjen, I’ve been so frighteningly aware of death. I guess I’ve just realised that everyone does die eventually. That point has really hit home ever since Mom died. I still can’t often bring myself to admit that she’s dead! I always expect her to walk in the door, announcing that she’s just removed Jacen from our lives. In a way, I’d welcome that. It would be justice, to destroy that evil man. Dad and I are so aware of our own mortality now. It’s so scary. It’s not something I want to think about. I can’t. Hopefully all of the speakers are self-evident. 	um just looking at the latin, without reading any of the translations or the drabbles... They scare me! Makes me want to run for my life, with all of the futurus's and disrupturus's or what have you... 	Lightsaber123: That's fine. Latin scares me a little too. I'm not really a Latin speaker; the bunny bit and I was helpless! SilSolo: I tend to write AU that I don't want to see when it deals with Jacen. But the Latin verse just fit. I didn't really think this would get any reception, as it's rather unusual. I know Lord Caedus is all-powerful. He torments me again and again with flow-walking back to Myrkr, and the more we do it, the worse the pain gets. I have submitted to his power now. I’m so sorry for wanting to go back now. I’m sorry I didn’t see this coming before. I’m sorry I ever trusted him. I want to go back to the way it was before Caedus. I can’t say that. He revealed his Sith identity, and now he can’t go back. All I want is help. I see her now in my dreams. She haunts me, accusingly. I still hear her tell me “I refuse to let you destroy the future for my Ben…” But I’m the one who has destroyed the future now. I am the guilty one. Guilty of murder, judged by all, even beyond death… She speaks to me as a Force ghost, in dreams, in the voice in the back of my mind. I thought this was over, now that I am Darth Caedus. It will never end. I am guilty forever, and she will make sure I am judged as such. 7 Juste judex ultionis, donum fac remissionis ante diem rationis. 7 Just judge of vengeance, grant the gift of forgiveness, before the day of reckoning'. Ben is falling now, too. He is sliding to the Dark Side, driven by vengeance. I don’t want to lose another family member to this evil way, especially not my son. I hope he will return to the light before this darkness fully consumes him. Jacen has fallen too far, but Ben can still be saved. When the day of reckoning comes, I hope Ben will choose the light. After his last battle with Jacen, I’m not so sure. The light will welcome back any who desire redemption. Ben, my son, please stay with the Jedi. Don’t become like Jacen. That's the end of these, since there's only so much I can do with Latin. I know the translation is rather poor and ornamented, but it does give the general idea. Enjoy! 	I really liked these. Especially the latin verses. I'm actually a latin scholar so I could read them...
