I like Toren... nice, strong name.
Well done and good post. (So, so understand that reaction to a child throwing a pubic fit...)

Ah, Airen, of course she *thinks* of stuff like that! The important part is that she didn't follow through. Impulse control is a wonderful thing.
I love the name Kael.

So glad to see this one updated!
Now he is terrified that in a few years he will be that father and you will be that child. I told him not to worry about it, but he has it stuck in his head that you will have a terrible temper because you’re a Jedi. I disagreed with him on that despite what happened to my great-grandfather. Airen then countered that even if you were well behaved, you could use the Force to assist you in hurtling frozen sweets at strangers on the public transport. I told him that it was highly unlikely that a well-trained Jedi (which if you want to be a Jedi, that’s what you’ll be) would ever do such a thing, even at that young of an age. My husband then told me to look him in the eye and swear that I’d never even thought about doing something like that. I opened and closed my mouth a few times before asking if he wanted me to start a stain treatment on his shirt.
I remember that fear!
Great update.

Ha! I love those two.
I like Toren and Kael. But all of them were very nice names!
Very glad to see this one updated again, fantastic job!

Personally, my favorite part was when Nawra tried to say she'd never thrown a fit like that.
Yeah, that's what I thought.
Do we get to vote on a name? Looks like others are voicing their thoughts, so I might as well toss mine. 1) Toren; 2) Kael. Dax just makes me think of Trills.
Another cute update!

DaenaBenjen: Thank you for reading. And, yes, children throwing hissy fits in public make everyone uncomfortable I think.
Z: She could've been lying about never following through on her thoughts. But I think for the most part she was being honest.
Jainasolo101: Thank you for taking the time to read and reply, glad you liked it.
MamaVader: I don't have/am not expecting kids and I've had that fear. I don't think it's an easy one to forget.
angry_bendu1: Thank you very much, I love Airen and Nawra, too.
Padawan: You caught me and my DS9 reference. I was looking through lists of names, saw that one, and couldn't resist.
The next post will be up as soon as I transfer it from notebook paper to electronic format.

Entry #15
Mom and I have been on a shopping binge for you the last few days. And by “Mom and I” I mean just Mom—I only tag along to give opinions I know she isn’t listening to and score free food. She shops for things for you to keep in her house since she and Dad will be babysitting you once my maternity leave ends. I go along because I can satisfy the insane food cravings you give me without judgment since she understands that when you’re in your third trimester trini noodles with carrik sauce and g’von’sa peppers doesn’t sound half bad.
The two of us have spent the last three evenings together doing this for a couple reasons: both our husbands are away at the moment and your grandmother is already addicted to spending credits on you; we seriously might need to put her on a budget. But I think it’s more of the first reason that explains why my mother has been so eager to keep an eye on me.
Mom and Dad went on a trip to Corellia three weeks ago to inspect new models of starfighters. Even though Dad is retired from the military, he still is asked for his opinion from time to time on matters, and since he spent a good chunk of his career in a cockpit, part of that time as Rogue Leader no less, his opinion—as well as Mom’s—in this area is highly sought after.
Anyway, Dad’s still on Corellia, but Mom came back early to keep an eye on me at my overprotective husband’s request since he left four days ago for a ten day recon mission. If he had asked my mom a year ago to babysit me, I would’ve given him a black eye. But now I’m grateful he did because I was too scared and stubborn to do it myself.
To Mom’s credit, she hasn’t been nearly as overbearing as I thought she would be. She doesn’t ever ask me if I’m doing okay, only ever gives me a critical eye whenever I grimace, which only happens when you are pummeling my internal organs with your feet and elbows. Dad on the other hand is the complete opposite. These days, whenever I call, he gets a buggy-eyed look on his face (well, as buggy-eyed as Jagged Fel can get) and starts asking a million questions. Airen does it, too. I just roll my eyes, shake my head, and let them know I was just calling to see what sounded good for dinner or something equally benign. Force help me for when I actually get a month within my due date.

Force help me for when I actually get a month within my due date.Yup, everyone will start wondering if it's the big one, or just false labor!
Of course, my husband was actually away when #1 showed up (10 days early). He was out of country on business, on his way back, missed it by 12 hours or so! They kept switching gates on him to depart. Out of sheer exasperation, he shouted out at one point, "Would you make up your minds, my wife is having a baby!" Little did he know... it was true! Maybe he had a sense, hmm?

Ha, I'm that way, and I'm only an aunt. I can totally see Jag and Airen getting all panicky at this point, too.

Sounds about right... Shopping with my grandmother always resulted in a stop at a restaurant. It was fun, and I miss it.
Well done and good post.

Force help me for when I actually get a month within my due date.
One of my friends once said that if she was asked "Are you in labor, honey?" one more time, she'd build herself a lightsaber and do something 'rash'. She was due in about two weeks, and I guess all the questions were taking their toll. The second kid was somewhat easier.
Somewhat being the key word there.
I hope you update soon!
