RE: DARK LEGACY (AU, 31 ABY) Jaina, Kyp, Jacen, Tahiri, Anakin - NEW 6/10 Getting to Know Each Other

Jumping into this with my a reply for my favourite post (so far!)...
Kyp was baffled. He'd tried his best. She'd put him off his stride! "What?!"
"You know exactly what! You're on his side!"
Kyp felt his anger flare, but in a moment, irritation became cold, hard determination. His eyes fixed her with an icy glare, and the words ground out with glacial severity.
"I doubt that very much indeed, Saber Eleven."
Loved this part here... Kyp's confusion, Jaina's irritation at Kyp's failure to lie for her, and then the lovely descriptions about Kyp's flaring anger. Very nicely done to set the scene with minimal dialogue.
Jaina, perhaps inevitably, tried to push him away. "What the kriff?!"
Kyp just kept hold of her. "Stop fighting it!"
"Fighting what?! Other people's plans to control me?" But she sounded more wry than angry by the end of the sentence.
Ooh, Jaina knows exactly what he means... she's just playing coy. And so good at it, too!!
Her answer, when it came, was to grab his hair and pull him into a rough kiss.
That is so HOT!!
They kept kissing, though—that seemed like a good way to start. He experimented with chewing her lower lip, kissing her face. Jaina seemed to like something he was doing, anyway.
A very good way to start, IMO.
He growled a question, asking if he should go further. Jaina looked back at him with dark eyes, and answered in a low voice. "Do it."
Kyp snarled in satisfaction, and began to undress her, working over her body in quick, brutal movements.
I just love the animal quality to all this! It's perfect for the scene, and for the two of them. Loving this hot mush!!
"Is this how you imagined it would be the first time?" she hissed in his ear. "Quick, meaningless, and on your desk?"
And there it is, my favourite line!!
Kyp laughed, and continued to tease her, rubbing his body against hers, his hand drifting downward past her waist. His fingers touched her skin, and he smiled at the heat within. "I rather thought it was reciprocated."
Ooh, Kyp's playing dirty... he wants to be in control... I rather think it's Jaina who's in control of this one, though.
"Hey!" he laughed. "You have a low opinion of my standards!"
"I have a low opinion of you, Durron," she corrected.
Kyp looked at her. "But if that's your fantasy, roll over."
Jaina just looked back at him. "Why don't you make me?"
Kyp laughed harshly. "I was hoping you'd say that!"
Lovely, snappy, sarcastic dialogue here. Makes for a very enjoyable post, and really makes their inner animal come out more.
He grabbed her waist quickly with both hands, and spun her over so she landed face-down on his desk, belly pressed against the edge. He clasped his hands to her flanks, and leaned forward on top of her
As she arched her body, he grabbed her long hair with one hand, and mauled her butt possessively with the other. Jaina gasped, then she twisted her neck and looked back at him, her eyes level.
Whoa!!
*fans self*
Is it just me, or did the temperature just rise a notch or two...
Kyp grinned, and looked at her. She was looking back at him, seeming amused. "Maybe I'll have to change my opinion slightly," she said.
He raised an eyebrow. "In which direction?"
She was already pulling her clothes back on, but she spared him a glance. "That wasn't too bad..."
He managed a half-grin of his own at her comment. "From you, that's praise."
Of the highest calibre!
"Your place next time?"
He's presumptuous! Though, I'm with him.. hoping for a next time. *winks*
She answered with a dismissive hand gesture while she left.
That a girl, Jaina!!
I love, love, loved this smokin' hot update!! Very nicely written, it was hot and snappy in all the right places.
Ant.

Okay - very behind still but I've read page one of this story at last. Intriguing. Caedus is spooky and disturbing, and possibly disturbed.
I sense Tahiri's sudden distaste for him has something to do with seeing the pic of Anakin. LOL
The Jaina-Kyp scenes are amusing and also intriguing.
She didn’t have Jacen’s sensitivity to the Force, but she could still pick up on things sometimes. And when someone’s emotions were running dark and powerful enough for the less-talented Skywalker twin to feel them, that was normally a bad sign.
Ooooh - I like the AU-ness.
PM me when you update - and I'll make sure I keep catching up.

Do you mean smut, or shooting people?
Oh, I meant shooting people. But I'll take what I can get
ImperialSolo posted: Is there a chance you could be convinced otherwise? I hope the contrast with A/T helps take the story forward?
Well, yes I could be convinced but then Kyp would have fooled us all about his real character and he is actually more the Kyp of the canon than I figure right now... Well, I go with Luke's believe that people can change. But anyways, don't stop trying to make me change my mind
But of course your story centers around A/T and they are certainly making progress
ImperialSolo posted: So you'll keep eagerly reading the K/J?
Sure will
ImperialSolo posted: keep reading to learn more about Kyp...
I'm looking forward too it. At least Jaina seemed to be a little more than one of the usual diversions to him. But is he just following Leia's order's to keep an eye on her (though we only know that that goes for Jacen I'd assume he's to look after Jaina as well (but I'm sure Leia didn't want him to look that well after her... )), or does he have his own agenda, or is there a third party involved... Well you wanted to hear my thoughts. That's as far as I get at the moment...
ImperialSolo posted: And, don't you think that if they understand each other, that might be a good thing?
Your right, they have a lot in common, but I think Jaina is partly right: He doesn't see her as an independent partner. She seems partly bait and partly ??? (maybe task) to him. I don't see that working on the long or even on the medium run. Jaina would be fed up with it quickly...
Well, as I said I definatly need more input
Till then,

Catching up...
Anakin just laughed slightly. "Better that you find it out this way, no?" He leaned forward, and gave her a hug. "Now, come on. Let's get you something to eat?"
Placating her... bad move, Solo.
Tahiri frowned. He almost seemed to be smiling. "My life just got totally karked, Captain Solo. Someone I care for declared me a traitor, and is now trying to kill me."
If that's not reason enough for a change in demeanour, I don't know what is.
Anakin grinned at that. "Well, I'm sure we can find you an opportunity. We're the Rebel Alliance. We're good at getting the Imps' attention."
She sighed. "Obviously I overrated my importance to... the Empire."
LOL! Now she's understanding things.
Tahiri frowned, but Anakin just tightened the hug.
"Oh," he said. "I've missed you."
Aww...
She stared blankly at him.
"Can you at least remember why you can't remember?" he asked.
Oh... this would have to be tough for Anakin. Poor kid. *sends hugs Anakin's way*
Oh, what the heck! *sends kisses Anakin's way as well*
When she spoke, Tahiri's voice cracked with unfamiliar pain. "I just don't, okay? Maybe it wasn't as important to me as it was to you."
Ouch. Somehow, I don't think that was quite the response he was after.
Anakin winked at her. "We're the good guys, Ree. A really friendly bunch."
Like 3PO.
Anakin grinned. "Hmm. We could try and set a Galactic record?" His hand was rubbing her back, and his lopsided smile looked kinda cute.
Tahiri stifled a grin. "Funny."
Funny and cute!!
For a moment, Lieutenant Veila's stormtrooper training took over. She noticed that her heart was beating very fast, and her breathing had quickened—danger signs; but she felt no urge to move. Their bodies were close, and Anakin had just slid one hand up to the back of her neck.
*Ant heartbeat increases as well*
Anakin led her into the kiss. Their bodies pressed together as if they were made for this, his arms binding her tight against him, and then their lips touched. Tahiri felt her eyes closing, and kissed back gently, hesitantly.
That is the hottest, slow, hestitant kiss ever!
But worries began to rise up in her mind. Why was she doing this? He was a Rebel—the enemy....
Yeah, but kissing the enemy can be soo much fun!
"Hey?" she asked. She could feel a silly grin forming on her face.
Anakin grinned back, his open palm rubbing slowly on her lower back.
"Hey," he answered.
Aww... they are so, adorably cute!!
Then the deck jerked violently beneath their feet, and the alarms began to howl.
Damn! Just when we were getting to the hot and heavies..
I do hope their lips aren't injured by whatever tripped the alarms..
Another wonderful chapter from you both. This A/T was so sweet and tentative, with the right levels of sarcasm and out-and-out tenderness between the two. *sighs* I want more, it's as simple as that.

Okay - I am now at the end of page 4. Very interesting story. Your characterisations are fantastic. So Tahiri is the result of an Imperial project is she? Poor old Tahiri; it seems to be her lot to end up being shaped in some way. Still - it makes great drama.
The Anakin-Valin scenes are very amusing. I can smell the testosterone. Yuck to the backstory on Anakin-Alema though. [shivers] But again - makes for some interesting complications.
I hope to be up to date in a few days time, all going well - not that that's a normal situation for me.

Jedi-Ant posted: Jumping into this with my a reply for my favourite post (so far!)...
Welcome. And here I thought ants were drawn to the sweet and sticky stuff, not the spicy.
Jedi-Ant posted: Loved this part here... Kyp's confusion, Jaina's irritation at Kyp's failure to lie for her, and then the lovely descriptions about Kyp's flaring anger. Very nicely done to set the scene with minimal dialogue.
Thanks. You like angry men? More coming in future updates. Among them Anakin.
Jedi-Ant posted: Ooh, Jaina knows exactly what he means... she's just playing coy. And so good at it, too!!
She needs to live up to her reputation!
Jedi-Ant posted: That is so HOT!!
*silly giggle*
Jedi-Ant posted: A very good way to start, IMO.
Hmm... True. But I'm thinking about exploring different concepts there, as well.
Jedi-Ant posted: I just love the animal quality to all this! It's perfect for the scene, and for the two of them. Loving this hot mush!!
When I read this now, I think it's quite funny how the relationships in this 'fic develop over time. Not necessarily how one might expect. A few years from now you will be able to share that insight and discuss, hopefully.
Jedi-Ant posted: And there it is, my favourite line!!
Glad you liked it. Jaina doesn't beat around the bush with matters like this.
Jedi-Ant posted: Ooh, Kyp's playing dirty... he wants to be in control... I rather think it's Jaina who's in control of this one, though.
But it's fun to make men think they're in control, right?
Why do you think Kyp's playing dirty, though? Maybe he's just needy?
Jedi-Ant posted: Lovely, snappy, sarcastic dialogue here. Makes for a very enjoyable post, and really makes their inner animal come out more.
Trying to have a similar K/J interaction as in canon, since I think it was really fun. Even if they kinda held back there.
Jedi-Ant posted: Whoa!!
*fans self*
Is it just me, or did the temperature just rise a notch or two...
*silly giggle* Maybe Anakin damaged the air conditioning on the Vader during the Rebels' escape?
Jedi-Ant posted: Of the highest calibre!
Glad someone else pointed that out.
Jedi-Ant posted: He's presumptuous! Though, I'm with him.. hoping for a next time. *winks*
Hehe... You mean we have to work on luring your K/J 'shipper self out of the closet?
You and Jerisa are playing hard-to-get, like Jaina?
Jedi-Ant posted: That a girl, Jaina!!
You said something about being in control earlier?
Jedi-Ant posted: I love, love, loved this smokin' hot update!! Very nicely written, it was hot and snappy in all the right places.
I love, love, loved your reply to this. It inspires to write more of this 'fic and especially of the smutty bits.
Jedi-Ant posted: Placating her... bad move, Solo.
Yeah. Boys, right?
Jedi-Ant posted: If that's not reason enough for a change in demeanour, I don't know what is.
Maybe she could use a good kiss?
Jedi-Ant posted: LOL! Now she's understanding things.
Pfffft! You're mean! I'm sure it cost Jacen quite an effort to let her go like this.
Jedi-Ant posted: Aww...
It's clear you're on Anakin's side here, not caring how Tahiri feels, being hugged and bothered by some strange guy who supposedly was her childhood friend.
Jedi-Ant posted: Oh... this would have to be tough for Anakin. Poor kid. *sends hugs Anakin's way*
Oh, what the heck! *sends kisses Anakin's way as well*
*Anakin sends kisses back* If you flow-walk back in time to before DL started, I'm sure you'll get more.
Jedi-Ant posted: Ouch. Somehow, I don't think that was quite the response he was after.
Probably not. But he's a Rebel. He's optimistic and persistent.
Jedi-Ant posted: Like 3PO.
Well, isn't he?
Jedi-Ant posted: Funny and cute!!
Each Solo child has their own sort of charm...
Jedi-Ant posted: *Ant heartbeat increases as well*

Jedi-Ant posted:

Hey, it's A/T!
Jedi-Ant posted: Yeah, but kissing the enemy can be soo much fun!
Speaking from experience?

Again, A/T.

Yay!
Tahi posted: Caedus is spooky and disturbing, and possibly disturbed.
It's just Jacen here, not Caedus. Supreme Commander of the Imperial Military - he's more like Dark Empire Luke than "Legacy of the Force" Jacen, I guess... But yes, he's been declared creepy by many.

Awww... I think I missed these, and I just had to reply.
She may be small, but she's got it where it counts!
I'll say...
Hey! He has a Force-bond with his sister, and sensed the turmoil she was in.
Is it possible that, behind the training that's encouraged him to act crazily, he's still a sensitive young man who loves his sister?
No.
Just kidding! I guess that could be the case, but he still kind of rubs me the wrong way. Maybe canon is tainting the "Jacen is an alright guy" part of my brain.
Thank you. I hope this helped your Monday, too?
Oh yeah. That kind of post helped the whole rest of my week!
Was that an attempted mind-trick?
Well, is it working?
And the new post is awesome! A/T is always good. Well, except for when Jacen finds out, because he'll be royally ticked, I think. I probably would be, if my brother stole my girl after like three minutes of being reunited. Ah, shared history and all that jazz. What can you do?
I'm very much looking forward to the next post! Good job!

Note: Thanks a lot to whoever nominated Dark Legacy for the Beyond the Saga Fanfic Awards. It's a huge compliment.
Twin Bonds
Jaina took the turbolift up from the flight deck to the Vader's command tower, straightening her uniform, and tapping her foot impatiently while she waited to arrive.
She supposed she should have been thinking about what she'd just done with Kyp, and she had to admit that it had been fun—but her mind couldn't focus on that right now.
Something else was occupying her mind. Something that Kyp had told her earlier, about her family.
Jaina had always known that the Empire had lied to her about her birth, but the truth was hard to swallow.
She had a brother—one who wasn't Jacen Skywalker, one who the briefing dossier for the botched capture mission had described as a smuggler and pirate… and her real father was Han Solo.
She'd always taken pride in shooting down Rebels and pirates. It was her vocation, whatever her private opinions about her mother and… stepfather, and the rest of the Empire's leadership.
To discover that her real family were Alliance officers and Corellians… it felt like something out of The Imperial and the Insatiable.
It felt a lot like that storyline where Joarelle and Renn's paternity was questioned, in fact.
Jaina grinned. Tonight, she decided, she was going to reward herself with a night on the sofa, some chocolate, and the three episodes of her favorite soap she'd missed this week.
After she was done dealing with Jacen, of course.
The turbolift doors slid open, and Jaina stepped out into a quiet corridor, high up in the command tower.
The damage done by… her brother's attack run hadn't reached this deck, and the corridor that stretched away in front of her was really no different from any other companionway on the Vader's crew decks.
The doors were spaced a little further apart, hinting at the larger-than-usual cabins on the far side of the bulkhead, but there was nothing to really mark it out as somewhere special—until you reached the squad of armored stormtroopers guarding the final door.
"Lieutenant Skywalker," the squad leader's voice said, dehumanized by the speakers in his helmet mask. "The Supreme Commander is expecting you."
Behind him, the hatch slid smoothly open.
Jaina walked up to Jacen's door, took a deep breath, and entered.
Her brother was sitting behind his big desk—much bigger than Kyp's, but an awkward height for having sex on, an irreverent part of her mind noted, as her Carida-trained body came to attention in front of the Supreme Commander.
Jacen looked her over with a gaze that was that of a senior officer, not a twin brother—unreadable and critical. "Lieutenant Skywalker," he said.
Then he stood, and walked out from behind the desk, and favored her with a fond smile. "Jaina."
"What's the matter? What did you want to talk to me about?" Jaina flicked a stray lock of hair back behind her ear, hoping she didn't look too disheveled.
"You're my twin sister, Jaina," he said, walking closer. "I just threw Tahiri into a dangerous mission. I wanted to talk."
Jaina would have really preferred him to keep his distance. "Yeah... About Tahiri... What the kriff did you think when you declared her a traitor?! How could you do this to her?!"
It was almost impossible to control her anger. Even if the blond girl was acting a bit distant most of the time, Jaina felt very protective of her brother's girlfriend. Somehow she felt that Tahiri had never fitted in where the Empire had placed her.
Jacen's eyes darkened as he looked at her. "Don't worry about Tahiri. She'll be fine. I needed to make sure that the Alliance accepted her," he explained. "The best spies are the ones who don't even know that they are spies."
He began to pace round Jaina, as if inspecting her on a parade ground. She straightened her spine instinctively, even as she rolled her eyes
"This way," Jacen explained, "she won't even know what she's capable of until I activate her. She'll be exactly what she claims - a confused, abandoned ex-Imperial." Then he was back in front of her again, and smiling. "Oh, take a seat. Coffee?"
Jaina ignored the offered seat for now. She didn't plan to stay long. "And how can you be sure she'll be a spy after this? Who says she won't like it with the Rebels?"
Jacen gave her a slightly pitying look. "My Force-bond with her can counteract anything they do." He smirked confidently. "Tahiri will remain loyal to me whatever happens. I know it.."
Jaina offered him a shrug. There was an edge of stress in Jacen's voice—something even she could sense in the Force; something that didn't seem entirely honest.
"As long as you believe it will work..."
Jacen sighed, and walked closer to her. "I... hope it will work." He smiled, looking tired, and reached up to brush her cheek with his fingers. "What happened to us, Jaina? We used to be inseparable."
Jaina tried not to flinch, but found the answer came easily. "We developed in different directions? The gender difference? I don't know. Never thought about it too much."
Jacen looked at her some more. "Maybe we should work on it?"
Jaina was sure now that he wasn't telling her everything. "Why? How?" she asked.
In reply, Jacen put his arm around her shoulder, and led her through from his office into the private quarters beyond—a big room, but impersonal in its simplicity.
Beside her, Jacen frowned slightly, and Jaina's heartbeat quickened—even with her limited Force skills, she knew he'd just caught the scent of Kyp on her.
She glanced at her brother, but he hid his distaste, and gestured for her to sit down beside him on the bed. "Let's talk?"
Jaina frowned at that invitation, and sat down on a chair near the bed instead. Was he nuts? "What do you want to talk about?"
"That's just it, Jaina," he said, sitting on the bed, and looking at her. "You didn't use to have to ask."
Jaina crossed her legs. She didn't feel very comfortable here. "Things change," she offered. "People change."
Her mind drifted off to Kyp's office for a moment. She wondered how that experience would change her. If it would change Kyp...
Jacen's smile grew polite. "I'm worried about the influence that Commander Durron is having on you."
Jaina arched an eyebrow. Kyp had told her once that it made her look like her mother. She frowned, and forced herself to focus on Jacen again. "What influence does he have on me?"
Jacen gave something that wasn't quite a shrug. "I'm worried he's setting a bad example? He's your commanding officer. You two seem close."
Jaina gave him a sharp look. "He's not my role model, it doesn't matter what kind of example he sets." She was annoyed at being treated like a child again. She was angry at people keeping secrets from her, not trusting her to deal with the truth.
The whole Empire seemed to want her to focus on her flying skills, denying her any life outside the cockpit because they didn't think she was fit to be more.
It felt like it had been that way forever—just because she wasn't as Force-strong as her perfect brother, the Empire had made her a weapon, not a leader.
And, she admitted, it had worked. She'd become an ace pilot. She didn't need Jacen telling her how to do her duty.
"I believe my combat record speaks for itself," she said, her well-trained tone devoid of the anger and irony she felt. "Sir."
Jacen looked at her for a moment, a merciless expression on his face. Even before he spoke, she knew he was going to ignore what she'd just said. "You're being reassigned out of Saber Squadron, onto my personal staff. Effective immediately."
Jaina was on her feet, eyes wide, mouth open. "What?! Why?!"
No! This couldn't be happening!

Nice scene with the twins. Yay for Jaina thinking about what Kyp told her.
"What?! Why?!"

Uh oh. Now what?!
Can't wait for more.

Wow, great update!
Hmmm... Kyp's starting to be a reoccuring theme in Jaina's thoughts. That must be a good sign , well maybe interesting is a better word.
So Tahiri is the unknowing spy, eh? Why do I think that she may become the double crosser soon? Or is Jacen's force hold on her mind really that strong? I think he might be underestimating free will, but that's just me. And Tahiri is anything but weak-minded!
And Jaina being transferred! Oh noes! Jacen had better watch it, alienating his sister like that. He may eventually need her firmly planted on his side!
Of course she may just be happy that she's in a "leadership" position... Heck, I don't know.
Well, once again excellent job! Sorry for the wordiness but I had alot to say... Such a good update!
AND STEP-FATHER?! THIS MUST BE EXPLAINED!

Creepy Jacen, you captured the creepiness well. So Jacen does not trust Kyp and so in his own way of looking out for his twin ? Well I'm sure you got something planned for Tahiri, who does not she is a spy for the Imperial . Excellent work, can't wait for more .
