Oh well fingured you guys needed one, enjoy . Part 17 (Aboard The Juggernaut) Rizlem Slag looked into the voidness of space, most of the crew that served under him often wondered on why he just stood there staring into blank space. Though no one dared ask him for fear of punishment of worse. Slag sighed, he had hoped that his forces had captured Jacen Solo on Taris, but instead they got his twin sister to which he found out her name was Jaina Solo. In the end Slag reasoned that Jacen's twin would make a good bargaining chip, her life for his loyalty. And yet Slag wondered on what the current course he was taking would be the right one. He thought of a simpler time, such as when he was still with Renegade Squadron, they had just rescued Admiral Ackbar who was held captive on a Star Destroyer that was preparing to send the admiral down to an Imperial prison colony on Kessel. -Flashback- "Good work Slag." Commander Col Serra walked up and gave a much younger Rizlem Slag a pat on the back, "You were a vital cause to our effort, you should those bucketheads what exactly Renegade Squadron is all about." "Thank you sir, but I don't really deserve this." Slag innocently replied. "Nonsense, if you thought otherwise I'd say you have the intellectual depth of a ronto. You're one of my finest soldiers and a damn good pilot, if thee not the best. You held up against seven TIE Fighters tailing after you, not even Jecht could do that. "You think the Imperials will counter much after their lost of Ackbar?" Slag asked. "They had hoped it would indiffiently cripple the Alliance's support with all those of Mon Calamari as Princess Leia hopes we can get them to help us, their star cruisers will prove to be an asset and perhaps give us more even ground in battles with Star Destroyers." "Emperor's black bones be damned once we get that much support on our side." Slag said. "Indeed they shall." Col laughed. Rizlem Slag then went onto another memory of his earlier life, they had been ambushed by IG-88 and Imperial forces on Sullust. The assassin droid was equipped with a shield generator, and hitting the droid was near impossible. The squadron found the souce of IG-88's shield which was lightning conduit, when it was destroyed they fought off the droid and remaining Imperial forces. The Rebellion had retaken Sullust after time, however the squadron felt unsuccesful as the ambush had cost a lot of their number and the lack of recognition for the squadron's bravery left a bitterness in Slag. "We do as they do and we get nothing." Slag found himself complaining to Col Serra. "Stop complaining Slag, we did our job and we did it well. Its all we could ask for." Col replied as he looked over the Sullustan landscape. "A lot of damn good that did." Slag muttered. "Let me ask you something Slag, why did you join this squadron?" Col turned to the other man. "To fight the Imperial bucketheads." Slag replied. "Is that all? Or is there more?" Col had a raised eyebrow, I know these things, you've been complaining before about the lack of recognition. I told you when you first joined not to expect the praise and gratitude that came to those such as Luke Skywalker or Han Solo. Your personal feelings are getting in the way, you're becoming a threat to my squadron. Thats why I had you taken off the starfighter division and make Jecht the new starfighter commander. And if you continue to be a threat then I must ask you to step down and leave the squadron." Col said. "Its too late for that commander, I quit!" Slag said as he ripped of the emblem that made him part of Renegade Squadron and threw it at Col Serra's feet before turning and heading off away from what he called a waste of time -End Flashback- And look where he was now, he was in command of a huge pirate force. He had also had a fleet of his personal flagship, the Juggernaut and seven Imperial Star Destroyers flanking it and were also the components to the superlaser weapon that Slag designed. When he gotten in contact with Imperials who were still loyal to the ways of Palpatine's Empire then they seperated themselves to which Pelleaon had to christened as the Imperial Seperatists that serperated themsevles from the Remnant. Slag had been grateful to the seperatists as they had provided him with an immense source of resources such as weapons, TIE craft, AT-ATs, AT-STs, and Stormtroopers that proudly served him. He knew he couldn't go back to who he originally was, the galaxy wouldn't accept him for what he become. What he was doing right now was the only right thing to do in his mind, a crewmember walked up and told him that the Solo girl was scheduled for another interrogation. -------------------------------- (Space enroute to Dagobah) Jacen sighed as he glided his X-Wing towards the swamp planet of Dagobah, recently he had been kicked out of Renegade Squadron by Ashlen Tecklas who believed Jacen had been on Slag's side the whole time and was undermining Renegade Squadron's efforts. This had cost him much including the rejection of love from Ashlen, the squadron being ambushed which gave Col Serra a ticket to bacta tank. The kidnapping of his twin sister Jaina and the attack on the Galactic Alliance base on Mon Calamari. Luke Skywalker, his uncle and Jedi Master had sent him to Dagobah to complete a task only Jacen could figure out on his own and until Jacen could complete it he was unfit to be in the rescue mission to get Jaina back. "There it is R3, Dagobah prepare the landing sequence." Jacen said to the astromech droid as the X-Wing made its descent into the swamp planet. The landing had gotten a little rough as Jacen had trouble finding a place to land where his craft wouldn't sink into the muck, "Stay with the craft R3." Jacen ordered as he climbed out of the X-Wing and took his first steps onto the moist ground. Mynocks flew overhead through the fog filled swamp and Jacen could only imagine what layed beneath the murky water,"Who would want want to live in a slimy mudhole like this?" Jacen asked no one in particular as he gazed at a homemade hut in the distance. Then he remembered how a certain Jedi Master would taken offense to it since he had been living on the planet for 23 years after the purges. R3 beeped as it watched Jacen continue exploring around the swamp, "I'm sweating like a Bantha." Jacen said to himself as he took off the top part of his flightsuit which he had a dark black tanktop underneath. Jacen took time to sit down and rest, "I'm beginning to think coming here was a bad idea." as the distant sound of Mynocks seemed to be agreeing with him. He shivered as he felt a cold presence wrap around him like a blanket, and then as if holding his hand lead off towards cave. The coldness intensified as he came closer to the cave as it felt like the very air had grabbed his throat and started to strangle him, but even with this illusion of death Jacen continued as he entered. "This cave, it feels very dark, very cold." Jacen said to himself as he looked around. There was no sound in the cave, but when sound did come it frightened Jacen, the cold sound of a respirator breathing Jacen turned around and his eyes widened as he saw his grandfather Anakin Skywalker back when he was still the Sith Lord Darth Vader walking slowly towards him. Jacen instincts immediately flared up as his hand dove for his lightsaber and ignited it, Vader breathe slowly as his gloved hand grabbed his lightsaber and activated it. Vader's crimson red saber contrasting with Jacen's emerald green saber. Jacen made the first strike as he slashed forward, which Vader easily parried and pushed Jacen back knocking him almost off his feet. "You can not defeat me boy, give into your hate and anger. It is the only way to defeat me." Vader taunted as the dark lord lunged and Jacen parried as he flipped over Vader and tried to stab at the back only for Vader to move faster and block Jacen's attack. The two circled each other as slashes and strikes were made at the other, Jacen grunted as Vader's saber nicked his cheek leaving a thin burnt line. Jacen rebounded as he feinted Vader and struck at the dark lord's arm which sent sparks flying. "Impressive, most impressive." Vader said as he recovered, "But you still can not defeat me, can you really kill your own grandfather?" "You're not my grandfather, you're just an illusion. Anakin Skywalker was redeemed and returned to the light side, you're not real." Jacen countered. "If I wasn't real could I do this?" Vader said as he used the Force and pushed Jacen sending the Jedi back and hitting the wall of the cave, "Or this." Jacen felt pain as he saw Vader's lightsaber cut right through his right hand leaving only a stump. "I don't care who you are, you're not Darth Vader...Anakin. Whatever you are, but you're not him." Jacen grunted as he held the stump of his former right hand. "Who said I was Anakin?" Vader questioned as he lifted both hands and pulled the helmet off and Jacen saw he was looking at himself except the mirror Jacen's skin was sickly pale and his eyes were dark and sithly, "I'm you." The dark Jacen said to which Jacen recognized as the dark voice within his head. It finally dawned on him that the dark voice that taunted him was actually the darkness inside of him and now this cave had manifested it into a physical form. "Impossible." Jacen gasped. "Surprise, you finally get to meet me Jacen, well you your true you." Dark Jacen said. "No, whatever you are thats not me." Jacen countered. "Oh really, I am you. I have your looks, your body everything except that nick on your face and I don't have a lost hand." Dark Jacen laughed, "So I was thinking, how does Caedus sound for a Sith name for us?" he taunted. "I would have to be kriffing crazy to ever name myself something like that." Jacen said. "Well I'm just going to have to convince you." Dark Jacen said as he raised his hand and lightning launched out of it and poured into Jacen. It had to be an illusion to him, but it felt so real as Force Lightning poured into Jacen's body making the boy squirm and twich with pain. "You failed them all; Anakin, Uncle Luke, Mom, Dad, Riggs, Col Serra, Ashlen, and most of all Jaina." Which each name Dark Jacen shot another blast of the lightning at Jacen. "No its not true, I've learned that what I done has cost me a lot, but I am ready to accept that and make up for my mistakes including of Anakin's death, You're wrong!" Jacen said as he stood up despite the lightning that was previously holding him down. He raised his left hand and absorbed the lightning then fired it back at Dark Jacen hitting the the mirror copy in the chest and sending it back into one of the cave walls. "No impossible." Dark Jacen said as he got up and tried to fry Jacen again, but Jacen slowly walked towards his dark image without being stopped by the lightning. "Not impossible, you're just the darkness that I held all along, well no more I don't need you. As long as I still have family that believes in me and supports me then I no longer have nothing to fear. Jaina, Uncle Luke, my dad will always love and support me which I can say is a lot more then for some sith ridden doofus named Caedus who runs alone in a galaxy wide conquest who I will never become!" Jacen was now up close with his dark image, "And you are nothing more to me, just a bad memory to be forgotten!" Dark Jacen screamed as his body disappeared into puffs of black smoke, Jacen closed his eyes and opened them and looked down. He saw that his right hand was back like it had never been cut off and he felt his cheek and the lightsaber nick he got was no longer there. The coldness and darkness that he felt was instantly got and he felt better almost like a new man, Jacen could only laugh his hardest as he felt cheerful back to his old self the self he used to before the war with Yuuzhan Vong began but yet he was still his current self at the same time. A combination of his old self and new one, a truely effcient team in his own opinion. He smiled as he ran back towards his X-Wing and set course for the rendezvous point to meet with his uncle. ------------------ Luke Skywalker opened his eyes from his meditation and smiled, "You did it Jacen." he said to himself as he resumed to meditating. ------------------------ Jaina Solo was thrown back into her cell, the interrogator droids had done nothing more then shock her and she wondered if these shock tortures were serving an actual purpose or was it for the sick fun for another, she allowed to relax her muscles as layed down on the metal cot and felt a warm breeze brush over her and she couldn't help but smile despite the situation she was in, "Jacen." She said as she felt through their twin bond that it felt like the Jacen she grown up with at the Jedi Academy and not the cold angry one that resided in the bond recently. She instantly knew that despite the sitation, things would get better. ------------------------------------ So how's that for an update, been awhile I know but tell me what you like about it. -----signature----- "I sense a disturbance in the Force." -Luke Skywalker. I did have pretty low expectations for everything post-NJO, so I was really surprised by how good it was. Loved the confrontation between Jacen and the embodiment of the dark voice that's been goading him all this time. Was exciting to see things finally coming to a head, and I'm glad Jacen was able to overcome the lure of the dark side. 	YodaKenobi-Oh I'm sorry, been so busy I wanted to update, but kept putting it off . Um is there by chance you could be my Jedi Master, haha jk, but you never know. Thanks for reading JaDan-Yeah I'm big on Jacen/Danni stuff, I never really thought on Danni when I first wrote this, but maybe she'll appear in the future in another project. Thanks for reading DarthBellumSolo-Yeah just wanted to try something with Jacen, even though all that he did in NJO I felt he didn't get enough in-time for himself in that series. And the Ashlen thing about being half chiss, just another thing I experimented with, thanks for reading. jadesabre75-Yes lol, Jacen can go back and kick some butt, thanks for reading Part 18 (Dreighton Nebula) A fleet of Star Destroyers and one lone Super Star Destroyer was enroute facing towards the planet Dreighton, the SSD Juggernaut was equipped with a powerful superlaser and when combined with the other components from the other star destroyers it could fire multiple superlasers in less then a minute without the need to recharge after a single fire. "Ready to go sir." a bridge crewmember told Slag as he stared at the desert planet in the distance. "Fire at will." Slag commanded, the other star destroyers combined their lasers at a focused point, then the Juggetnaut fired its own laser, the superlaser formed and zoomed down and pierced into Dreighton's surface. A few seconds later the planet seized to be nothing more then space debris. Slag's eyes narrowed as he watched the floating rocks that was left of the planet fly past his eyes, "Not good enough." ------------------------ (Mon Calamari Galactic Alliance Base) Jacen's X-Wing flew back into the hangar of the base where he saw his uncle and father come walking up to greet him, he pressed the button to open the canopy and climbed out of his X-Wing to meet Luke and Han. "How ya doin' kid?" Han clapped Jacen's shoulder. "Much better." Jacen gave the infamous Solo grin back, "So when are we going to get Jaina back?" he asked. "Not just yet." Luke said then noticed Jacen's disappointed face, "There's still one more thing for you to do." "Hey if its another Force trial..." Jacen started. "We need you to go back to Renegade Squadron and see if you can get Col Serra to join us." Luke replied. "Are you kidding? They won't listen to me, more then half of them would rather vape me then listen Ashlen included." Jacen's face had a look of shock and horror. "They might not listen to you." Luke then smiled, "But they'll listen to Col Serra." "And what are you and dad going to be doing while I'm off with them?" Jacen asked. "We're mobilizing of what we got and are preparing to lead an attack on Slag's fleet, Wedge was more then ready to comply. Everything is almost ready, a few additions still need to be made and plus we need a point to meet Slag's forces." "And if Col doesn't agree, just tell him that he still needs to pay off ol' Han Solo on those swoop bike races and will soon collect interest if he doesn't pay soon." Han joined in which got laughs from both Luke and Jacen. "I should get going then." Jacen hugged his uncle and dad then climbed back into his X-Wing and fly off. "Think he'll be able to pull it off?" Luke asked Han. "Of course he can kid, he's a Solo." Han replied with his grin. ------------------------------------------------------------------- "How hard can it be to find one Star Destroyer?" Jacen grunted as his X-Wing zoomed through the limitless enviroment of space. R3 beeped a couple times to answer his question, "Yeah sorry R3, not all of then are like the Errant Venture." Jacen replied once he saw that R3 said something that privately owned star destroyers could of been painted to differentiate themselves. R3 gave a couple more whistles and beeps, "What an incoming ship what is it..." Jacen eyes widened as he saw the Juggernaut decloak itself and fly past him. "Jaina...it's my fault you're on that thing." He muttered as memories of his duel with Jaina on Taris resurfaced and how he almost killed her in his anger. Then the next was seeing Jaina's unconscious form being dragged into a shuttle by Slag's troops and taken to the SSD, "I'll get you out of there, I promise." Jacen said then entered in coordinates to the nav-computer and jumped into hyperspace. ------------------------------------------------------ (Aboard the Renegade) "Oh right move that there." Ashlen pointed to two technical repair crew members then groaned when the two accidently dropped what they were carrying which was container full of tools to finish repairing the damages done to the Renegade. "Caf?" Ashlen turned to the source of the voice and saw Riggs standing next to her holding a cup of caf. "Thanks." she sighed as she took the cup and took a sip of it. "How's progress down here in the hangar?" Riggs asked. "Barely any if you want the truth." Ashlen replied, "How's the sublevels?" "We're getting there, some parts are still too damaged to do anything with it. We would have to go to a shipyard to get that repaired." He replied. "And Col?" Ashlen asked sadly. "Still healing, it will still take time before his leg fully heals." Riggs said. "Does he still believe?" she asked. "That Jacen didn't really betray us and sold us out to Slag." Riggs replied, then nodded. "Well I still I have a hard time believing that." She clenched her fist. A crew member ran up to them. "We have an approaching X-Wing, appears to be one of ours." he said. "Thats impossible, Jecht ordered that no one was supposed to go out until further notice." Riggs replied. "I know who it is." Ashlen said darkly. "Should we let the X-Wing land?" the crew member asked, when Ashlen didn't respond Riggs turned to the crew member and nodded. Jacen slowly guided his X-Wing into the hangar he could already see the others renegades give him dark looks and glares and saw Ashlen and Riggs walking up to the craft as it landed. "Here goes nothing." He said as he opened the craft and climbed down, "Look I know where you're going to say, but..." Jacen couldn't finish as he felt a fist collide with his face. "You got a lot of nerve coming back here, you slimy piece of Huttscum." Ashlen said rubbing her first. "Ashlen if you let me explain I." He then stopped when he saw Ashlen pointing her blaster at his face. "What can you explain, that you betrayed us...betrayed me." She argued. "I didn't betray you...Slag set me up." Jacen argued back. "Thats what you want me to believe." She scoffed. "Enough! Both of you!" Ashlen, Riggs, and Jacen looked as they saw Col Serra limp into the hangar, "I do not believe Jacen meant to betray us, Rizlem Slag played with his emotions. He had a rather fond talent of doing that." "Sir." Both Ashlen and Riggs said. "Jacen." Col turned to the Solo boy, "I can't say I'm proud of what you did and from your leaving of us and not helping us out during Slag's raid on the ship, and I have more then enough nerve to have you kicked off this ship and out of my squadron forever, but I'm not going to." "You're not?" Jacen asked. "Because." he limped forward some more, "I saw potential in you when I first met you, and I don't want that potential to go to waste. I told myself that you and the potential you had were the kind of traits on my squadron. Plus I feared of what Slag would of done if you gone with him." Col finished. "He almost did get me, but instead he got someone else...someone that I haven't treated fairly for awhile." Jacen stared at the floor. "Eh?" Col raised an eyebrow. "He got Jaina, my twin, my twin sister. They took her and probably going to use her as bait to get me." Jacen continued. "And what's that got to do with us?" Col asked. "The Galactic Alliance was hoping you help them out on a strike on the Juggernaut. We could use your help." Many people's faces looked up when they heard the mention of the GA since most were not fond of it. "I'm sorry Jacen, but we can't get involved with the GA." Col said sadly. "Well there is that little snag to that." Jacen said with a little grin. "What is it?" Col asked. "Well if you don't help, my dead old dad is going to start collecting interest on you if you don't start paying him off on the swoop bike races." Jacen replied. Instead of a shocked look from Col Serra, there was one with a smile, then he started to laugh. "That would be something Solo would do." Col laughed. Jacen, Ashlen, and Riggs were not expecting this reaction at all from Col Serra. "I don't understand." Riggs stated. "Its simple, I'll tell you sometime but now we got more important matters to attend to." Col soon straightened up. "Jacen it seems both me and your family share the same interests." "All I want is to get my sister back, the bust on Slag is yours." Jacen replied, which Col nodded. "Alright, we know what to do. Jacen go back to the GA and tell them we accept." Jacen smiled and nodded and turned to head towards his X-Wing he stopped and look back. Riggs gave a wave to Jacen while Ashlen only looked away he sighed and climbed into the cockpit before firing out of the hangar and back towards Mon Calamari. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- (Space towards Mon Calamari) "Well its a good thing we got Col Serra to help us R3." Jacen said proudly as he set in commands to R3 could take control of the X-Wing for awhile so he could relax. "We'll get Jaina back soon enough and...oh no." Jacen stared out of the cockpit. Ahead of him was a graveyard of wrecked and destroyed GA transports, frigates, and cruisers along with the remainds of several starfighters. He pounded the console, "Slag! He won't stop until someone else stops his madness." Jacen gritted his teeth and then increased the X-Wing's speed back towards Mon Calamari. ----------------------------------------------------- (Mon Calamari GA Base) Jacen climbed out of his X-Wing and ran towards Han and Luke who came forward to greet him. "So did Col Serra agree?" Luke ask. "Yeah he did." Jacen nodded. "Thats good. We got a distress signal from a GA fleet was coming in from Bespin and by the time Han got there, it was too late." Luke explained. "Yeah I saw the results as I was coming back." Jacen replied. "As soon as ol' Serra gets here we can start this." Han added in. "Col Serra's coming here?" Jacen asked. "Yes...didn't we tell you that? He contacted us as soon as you left." Luke replied to which Jacen shook his head signaling he didn't know. "Hiya kid." Jacen, Han, and Luke turned around and saw Col Serra walking towards them accompanied by Ashlen and Riggs and Jecht, Renegade Squadron's starfighter commander, "You didn't think we just sit and wait?" Col asked which Jacen grinned. "Ok ok." Han nodded, "Now its a party." --------------------------------------------------- (GA Base Meeting Room) "Imdaar, Dreighton, Abatrarg, Dontamo, Lanthrym, and Quian are all planets that have been vaporized by Slag's superlaser weapon." Col Serra explained as holographic images of each of the planets appeared when Col said each name. "And let's not forget the countless space stations, transports, cruisers, and frigates he's taken out along the way." Leia added in which Col nodded. "So what do we know about this? Does Slag's flagship have any weaknesses that we can use to our advantage?" Luke asked. "We managed to get ahold of Slag's battle plans and figured out a strategy after decoding it." Col continued. "How they managed to do that?" Leia asked Han who shook his head. "He's going to vaporize planet after planet leaving nothing, but debris in his wake til he gets what he wants which is total control over the galaxy. The Juggernaut is so well protected, Slag doesn't believe we stand a chance to stop him." Col explained. "Can we?" Jacen asked. "We estimated the odds in a one in a million, give or take." Jecht added in. "Well that's not so bad, one in a million." Han slightly joked. "The Juggernaut is required to recharge its power cells after every couple superlaser attacks since it goes so long without rechagring and firing those lasers takes up a lot of power, looks like Slag didn't have that infinite energy source he thought he had." "Where is it right now?" Jacen asked. "Its recharging at a space station in the Lenico Belt." Col stated as he pulled up an image of the space station. "That used to be an Imperial installation, they processed cortosis in that facility." Luke began recognizing that appearence of the station except it had been majorly added onto. "It was an installation until the Imperial Remnant abandoned it, now its a commercial space station where traders, smugglers, merchants, mercenaries, and even bounty hunters go to tell old war stories or check out the beast fights. I know the guy who restored up that place." Col explained. "So what's the plan?" Jacen asked. "First off we sneak in a small strike team onto Slag's flagship through by hiding in a cargo containers, no doubt Slag will want supplies while on the space station as well. Once on board it will be up to them to find Jaina Solo and also contact us with the coordinates of the Juggernaut so we can intercept to attack. One problem though is we have to make sure that the strike team makes it off the ship before finishing it off for good. Hopefully with the Juggernaut down, the other Star Destroyers accompaning it will retreat due to the loss of the shield generator the Juggernaut projects." Col finished. "Since its someone in the Solo family that's held captive, I suggest Jacen Solo to lead the strike team. Jacen you may pick two others to go with you. "I want Riggs...and Ashlen." He stated to which Col nodded, "If I may ask, what is Slag's next target?" Jacen asked. "The next target...is Taris." Col said sadly. Jacen felt and overwhelming feeling of shock and anger. Despite how short of time he spent on the planet he had felt a special connection to it, but good times and bad. Meeting Col Serra for a good time, and his duel with Jaina a bad one. "He won't get that planet!" Jacen said through gritted teeth, "I'll make sure of it." "Very well, get some rest in a few hours this operation begins." Col Serra nodded to all in the room. ---------------------------------- Well I didn't mean to not update for so long, I been really busy with other things so sorry if I made you worry. 	Um is there by chance you could be my Jedi Master, haha jk, but you never know. Sure? I don't actually have any Force powers though the other star destroyers combined their lasers at a focused point, then the Juggetnaut fired its own laser, the superlaser formed and zoomed down and pierced into Dreighton's surface. A few seconds later the planet seized to be nothing more then space debris. Damn, not another one Slag's eyes narrowed as he watched the floating rocks that was left of the planet fly past his eyes, "Not good enough." This guy is seriously sick. "They might not listen to you." Luke then smiled, "But they'll listen to Col Serra." But will Serra listen to Jacen? "And if Col doesn't agree, just tell him that he still needs to pay off ol' Han Solo on those swoop bike races and will soon collect interest if he doesn't pay soon." Han joined in which got laughs from both Luke and Jacen. I see Han's got an ace in the hole "Jaina...it's my fault you're on that thing." He muttered as memories of his duel with Jaina on Taris resurfaced and how he almost killed her in his anger. Then the next was seeing Jaina's unconscious form being dragged into a shuttle by Slag's troops and taken to the SSD, "I'll get you out of there, I promise." Jacen said then entered in coordinates to the nav-computer and jumped into hyperspace. I sure hope so "Ashlen if you let me explain I." Thanks for reading Part 19 (Space enroute to Lenico Belt) The Millenium Falcon zoomed through the open vacuum of space towards a commerical space station which formerly used to be an Imperial installation located within the Lenico Belt. Within the ship held its prized pilot Han Solo, his brother-in-law Luke Skywalker, old gambing buddy Lando Calrissian, and the strike team which was made up of Riggs, Ashlen, and Jacen. "There it is." Han said as they came upon the space station. "Not much has changed of it." Luke said taking in the sight. "And we're not alone." Lando pointed towards the topmost tower of the space station and hovering right above it was the Juggernaut. "You know kid, I'm not one to admit of being scared of a super star destroyer, but this would be a first since I have one kid within that beast, and another about to enter it." Han admitted. "It'll be alright Han, they'll get Jaina faster then you can say 'Do or do not, there is no try.'" Luke tried to joke, then caught Han's glare. The Jedi Master turned to the three members that made up the strike team, "I guess you three know what to do?" Luke asked which the trio nodded, "Alright then, may the Force be with each of you." Han guided the Falcon into one of the station's multiple docking bays after gaining clearence, he released the hatch to let the ramp release and touch the docking bay floor. Jacen, Riggs, and Ashlen all walked out dressed in mild civilians' clothing, Han stepped forward. "Ok kids, we're relying on you to get aboard that beast, and find Jaina. Also of course get into contact with us so we can make the counter offensive against Slag before his fleet reaches Taris. "Right." The three of them said. Han watched as his son and two friends turned and walked off disappearing into the crowd. --------------------------------------------- "Man this place is confusing." Riggs said as Jacen, Ashlen, and himself pushed and shoved past a group of grans, duros, wee quays, and neimodians. "Come on, Slag's ship is at tower 23 and there's no telling how much longer until Slag gets what he needs and zooms off toward Taris." Ashlen replied as she pushed ahead and led the way. Jacen let his eyes wander around as merchants and patrons mingled while bounty hunters stopped and gave the occasional sneer or stare at the other. Jacen knew if Boba Fett were here, others in the area would be more then smart to give a second thought to stare back. "Hard to believe that this place used to be an Imperial installation." Jacen added in. He then bumped his head into Ashlen's arm when he realized she held her arm out to stop him. She then pointed towards an oncoming group of Slag's stormtroopers. "They must be making final preparations before departing." Ashlen said, "Let's go." She motioned for Riggs and Jacen to follow her. --------------------------------------------------- A lot of the officers, stormtroopers shared stares and discussions as they're leader would often stare out into the vastness of space, true he did it a lot before, but now he was doing it nonstop. "Colonel Deglins, a word if you will." They heard Slag's voice ring. A straightened officer walked up and stood behind Slag. "Yes sir." he said. "Do you think what I'm doing is right?" I've placed fear into the hearts of millions around this galaxy, I've destrpyed worlds, granted I'm not like the Yuuzhan Vong." "The Vong captured worlds sir, you completely obliterated them." the colonel replied. "Yes Colonel I know, and yet I don't feel satisfied. With each planet that I blow up I hope my anguish goes away, only it increases. Even now with that Solo girl we hold captive, every interrogation she's given she won't break and yet I feel satisfied with that. Why!? I should feel frustrated and anger that one simple being won't break yet I feel satisfaction that she hasn't broke yet." "Second thoughts on anything sir?" the colonel asked. "Yes." He then produced a rectangular like device with a long metal rod protruding from one end, "You know what this is?" to which the colonel shook his head, "This is a very crude design of mine, when I press one of these buttons it initiates a self destruct sequence on the ships, I have wired enough pulse bombs to bring my whole fleet down." Slag said. "Sir you're not thinking." The colonel said nervously eyeing the device. "Of course not." Slag smiled as he placed the device in one of his coat pockets, "I've no dreams to do that, return to your duties Colonel Deglins." Slag then turned and returned to his quarters. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Han had the Millenium Falcon resting on one of the asteroids that was a fair distance away from the space station. They heard a metallic clanking noise, "Look Slag's ship is ready to disembark." Han pointed out and watched as the Juggernaut rose above the space station, turned and slowly made its way out of the Lenico Belt, small asteroids colliding and crumbling when they impacted on the Super Star Destroyer, "Both of my kids are on that ship." Han said. "We can only hope that they'll get Jaina out." Luke said. "Come on you old pirate, we better return to the fleet." Lando brought Han out of his thoughts. "Right, prepare to disengage." Han said as they felt the Falcon plop off the asteroid, make a u-turn and jump into hyperspace back towards to where the GA fleet was. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- "Being back on here is not my idea of a vacation." Riggs complained as he, Jacen, and Ashlen had stowed away on one of the Juggernaut's multiple supply storage rooms. "Well get used to it, this time we take this ship down for good. Rizlem Slag has hurt too many people and he can't get away with what he has done." Ashlen replied, Jacen nodded. "Ok what's the plan?" Jacen asked. "First me and Riggs will head to the center of the ship and try to get into the mainframe. With some luck we can set this ship to autopilot itself to the coordinates your dad and Commander Serra gave us. Then we'll make our way to the communications deck, every star destroyer has got to have one and see if we can contact them that we confirmed our mission. While you." She pointed to Jacen, "You just worry on getting your sister back, she has to be in the detention block, with anything she will be in perhaps the mosy heavily guarded sectors of the detention block." "That be nice, except I don't know which cell she's in." Jacen replied. “Fine, we’ll stick together until we find a console to use, hopefully we can find which cell your sister is in and get her out.” Ashlen grinned. “Great, then let’s get moving.” Riggs replied as he led the way out of the supply storage rooms and into one of the many corridors of the super star destroyer. It seemed that the security was on a more higher alert then their last visit to the ship. Evidently their infiltration had forced Slag to call for an increase in patrol squads and security sensors. Jacen found it ironic that they managed to stow away onto the ship so easily. He also found it ironic that if weren’t for the fact that stormtroopers and officers were marked with Slag’s emblem he swear he was sneaking through a heavily guarded Imperial ship owned by the actual Imperials and not by the seperatists and pirates. “In here.” Riggs pressed a switch to open a nearby hatch door and they walked into a guard’s station. Ashlen immediately moved to a nearby console and started a search on the prisoner database to see all who was kept prisoner on the ship. Riggs kept watch by the hatch door to see if any unwanted attention would enter. Jacen paced back and forth across the room, worry etched on his face. “Got it.” Ashlen yelled as Jacen ran up next to her, “Detention level 3, cell block 17D.” “Thanks.” He said, “You better get on with your own mission.” He told her as he prepared to leave the room. “Jacen!” He heard Ashlen’s voice shout from behind him, he turned around in time to see Ashlen run up to him and give him what most would consider a passionate kiss. They broke apart, Jacen had a look of astonishment on his face, “You better get it going.” She said. He gave a grin then went on his way. ----------------------------------------------- “This would be easier if I was disguised as a stormtrooper again.” Jacen grumbled to himself as he hid behind a corner as a stormtrooper trio walked past. His increasing encounters with patrols meant he was getting closer to the detention levels. He walked down a set of stairs as he found the entire environment seemed to get darker. He saw on a sign that he was on detention level 4, “One more level down.” He said to himself as he went down a second set of stairs, “Now to find Jaina.” He walked down the corridor that was labeled D sector. On both sides of the corridor were red transparent blast shields that prevented prisoners from escaping while also giving them a painful shock. He decided to take a moment to look in one of the cells. Out of the darkness of the cell a Nexu lunged forward to pounce on him, it would’ve succeeded if not for the fact that the creature hit the blast shield and was thrown back twitching as it stood back up and snarling at Jacen. Howver it had its affect on Jacen, as the Jedi jumped backwards and landed on his back. “Who puts a kriffing thing like THAT in there!?” He said to himself as he stood back up and stared at the nexu that was still snarling and growling at him. He thought best not to think about it and kept on his way. He reached 17D where he saw Jaina laying on the bunk. He pressed on the controls to deactivate the blast shield and ran in. “Jaina.” He said, her body twitched as her head struggled to look where the voice was, a smile came to her face when she saw who it was. “Jacen.” She said weakly, he moved to help her sit up on the bunk. “I’m here.” He said as he looked at Jaina, scars and burn marks were all over her, obviously from the multiple torture and interrogation sessions they put her through, “They did a number on you.” He grinned. “Stang Jacen, you come here to get me and the only way you greet me is by making fun of me?” she snapped back. He couldn’t help it but laugh and she did the same. The Solo twins embraced each other into a hug, neither wanting to let go. “Jaina.” He started, “I’m sorry that all this happened, that you get dragged into this and…” “That you been acting like a nerfherder with an attitude problem.” She added in. “That too, and I’m going to make it up to you, but first we need to get out of here.” Jacen stated. “Can’t do much good without something to defend myself.” She retorted. “That reminds me.” He said as he reached down to his belt and produced a lightsaber, “I think you’re going to need this.” He handed Jaina’s lightsaber to her. “Thanks.” She replied as she took it and enveloped her twin in another tight hug. “Aren’t family reunions grand?” They both heard a voice that was on the verge of bursting out laughing. Both siblings’ heads turned and they saw Riggs there on the verge of laughing while Ashlen was standing there with her arms crossed with a grin on her face, apparent she had better control then Riggs did. “As touching as this is, we better get moving.” Ashlen said. “Did you set the ship to autopilot?” Jacen asked. “Yes, we set the ship to rendezvous with the GA fleet at Kothlis, we also contacted them to anticipate for our arrival. I put in new coding that will be difficult to override and hopefully by the time they do manage to override it, it’ll be too late.” Ashlen stated. “Great let’s get moving.” Jacen said, the ship started to rumble. “Its getting ready to enter hyperspace with the coordinates I implanted into the mainframe.” Ashlen continued, then nodded in agreement to leave the detention levels. ------------------------------------------------ “Commander Slag, something has overridden our ship’s systems.” An officer entered Slag’s quarters to inform him of the bad news.” “Shut down the systems and reboot it!” He ordered. “We cannot, we are being blocked and that is not all.” The officer replied. “What is it!?” Slag snapped. “The ships have been redirected to a different course from our current target.” The officer explained. “Where are we headed?” Slag asked. “Kothlis.” Was the officer’s only reply. Slag stood up and stared away from the officer. “Solo.” He said firmly as his eyes narrowed, he turned back to the officer, “Have all fighter crews ready for launch as soon as we reach Kothlis.” “Yes sir.” The officer said obediently and left the quarters. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ (Space Over Kothlis) “They should be here soon.” Han said as the fleet was making its seventh orbit over Kothlis. “We’re getting a reading.” A crew member shouted. Han looked up and saw the Juggernaut and its escort Star Destroyers disengage from lightspeed. He turned to one of the admirals, “Have all crews get to their fighters, inform Col Serra we have confrontation.” The admiral nodded then ran off. Han turned back to the viewport of the incoming enemy fleet, “Let’s hope we can make it through this.” He said grimly. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- The Solo twins were making short work of the stormtroopers as they deflected blaster shots and slashed through Slag’s troops. Riggs and Ashlen were taking shots at stormtroopers that tried to get out of the way of the lightsabers. 	Hey guys, I really been out of it for awhile, writer's block and such. I'm debating on something, whether to end this with a happy ending, or end it with a cliffhanger. If I end it with a cliffhanger then it will be a very blunt one, meaning something will happen and no explanation will really be given into it.
