	Ive managed to get a little sample of this new story after In Your Arms, takes place immediantly after In Your Arms. Defualt Chapter --------------- He dropped down beside her unable to continue any longer, what a night it had been, Jacen Solo felt as if he was soaring through the cloudy skies of Bespin. He took a few long and deep breathes to catch up with his breathing, then tilted his head to look at the beautiful woman beside him. Danni was panting lightly, he could tell she must have been feeling the same way he was feeling. She was staring straight at the ceiling, her mouth opening and closing gasping for air. beads of sweat were strolling across her forehead and her hair looked sticky and messy, not to mention the dried chocolate sauce scattered across her body, and his. But none of these features distracted Jacen from the scientists beauty. And she was his, all his. And he would have it no other way because no other way was acceptable, he loved her with all his heart, he would do anything for her, he would die for her just so she wouldn't feel one ounce of sadness. "See something you like?" came Danni's voice, he had just noticed her head was tilted toward him with a warming smile and still panting slightly. "Oh definitely." He replied. He was a bit surprised she was still panting, though her body was much more fragile then his own and he somewhat lost control during their second time after his parents walked in on them. "Hey, sorry about that, I didn't mean to tire you out." her eyes shot wide open and her draw dropped slightly. "You did NOT tire me out!" she blurted out. "Oh sure, that explains your gasping for air then." He gave her the famous Solo grin, and he knew she couldn't lie when he put it on. "Oh okay, maybe just a little bit, but don't get used to it because next time it's your turn, Jacen Solo." she took her left index finger and ran it across Jacen's cheek. "Okay, whatever you say, soon-to-be Danni Quee Solo." He said and grinned. Yes, he had proposed to her, not with the words "Will you marry me?" but close enough. and Obviously she said yes not using the exact word "Yes" but close enough. She moved her hand behind Jacen's neck and pulled him to her lips locking them in fierce kiss, Jacen immediately returned the kiss and rolled atop her. Though it did not lead to them making love again ,which Danni was obviously trying to get at, it once again left Danni gasping for air when they pulled away. "I wish we could just stay like this forever, Jacen." Danni said breathlessly. "Yeah, but you know we can't." "Can't we? Can't we just lay here together forever, caressing and loving each other? And I'd really rather not have to confront your parents." She said with a hint of nervousness in her voice. Neither did he, he'd much rather have to scrap the flesh and gunk from a rancor's tooth. Though he knew he had to eventually face his parents and just get it over with. "I'm sorry sweetheart. but we can't, we have to get this off our chests sooner or later, and the sooner the better." he replied softly caressing her thighs. He smiled warmly radiating his love and sympathy to Danni. She sighed in defeat. "I guess you're right, we mine as well get this over with, besides they might not be angry with us, I mean if Kyp and Jaina can do it despite their age difference, then so can we." she said and lowered her head to lean her forehead on Jacen's chest and soon enough began planting gentle kisses on his chest. Then she raised her head to look up at him. "But can't we at least lay here for a few more minutes?" she pleaded. Jacen nodded, and so they did, and in about 10 minutes Jacen decided it was time, he grabbed Danni's shoulder but found she was fast asleep. He softly shook her once to make sure she wasn't faking, he decided she wasn't so he got up and went to the fresher alone and went to confront his parents So how was it? 	Disclaimer: I OWN NOTHING! Jacen and Danni confront Han, Liea and the others. And Leia brings up a topic that sends a whole knew stream of thoughts through Jacen and Danni's head. Chapter 2 Not So Rude Awakening ____________________ Han, Leia, Luke, Mara, Kyp, and Jaina were all siting in the living area of their temporary house when Jacen emerged from the door to the living room. All eyes turned to Jacen and an awkward and uncomfortable silence fell over the room. a sly grin apeared on Han, Mara, and Kyp's faces while the others faces remained uncertain of what to say. Finally Han broke the awkward silence "Well, well, look who we have here, we didn't think Danni remembered your birthday, but then again it seems you got some birthday present." Jacen blushed fiercely while Kyp and Mara snickered about. Han once again opened his mouth to speak, only to make Jacen's blush turn brighter. "So tell us, your mother and I have been wondering if we have another wedding to prepare for," Jacen exchanged glances with Han, his blush was finally starting to fade while Jacen's gaze returned to his father, and he surprisingly smiled. "Yeah, it seems that way," Jacen said matter-of-fact. Everyones faces returned to a blank uncertain stare. There was that silence again. Finally Leia stood up from the couch and stepped toward Jacen mere inches from Jacen. She carefully studied her son, she could see he were beginning to feel uneasy again. Then she folded her arms as anger appeared on her face, Jacen didn't like were this was going so far. "You have some explaining to do young man! First we all burst in your room to give you a warm 'happy birthday' on your special day, only to find chocolate over your room, clothes scattered all over your floor, and YOU and Danni completely clotheless with your entire blanket is drafted over your entire body! Not to mention the chocolate sauce all over you! Just what did you think you were doing Jacen Solo?!" Leia was solely focused on Jacen. Jacen suddenly became angry, angry at his own mother. But he had every right to be, why was she only angry at He and Danni, Kyp and Jaina were getting married too, and they've had their share of midnight rendezvous's as well. And the fact that Leia could possibly be thinking less of Danni just for rembering his birthday when no one else did, and for loving him the was Jacen had longed for his whole life only fueled his anger. "What in the galaxy are you talking about?! My birthday was yesterday and Danni was the only one who remembered, out of all of you, my family didn't remember!" Jacen's voice grew louder "And the only thing I was doing was spending a very special night with someone I love more then life itself! How could you possibly be angry at us for that, just how mother?!" everyone's faces then turned to a gape. Leia was speechless, Jacen had never spoken to his mother that way before, she really had no clue what to say to Jacen that he wouldn't be able to counter. Leia was about to outburst again when she felt a soothing hand on her shoulder, she turned to see it was her husband Han. "Calm down sweetheart, he's right," he said "we have no right to judge them this way, if they really feel this strongly for eachother, then we have no right to say otherwise." Han's arm dropped back to his side "Jacen were not mad at you alright? Were just a little shocked at the situation, I mean can you blame us, we didn't exactly pickt he ideal moment to burst into your room like that," he said and grinned. Jacen smiled, he was also supriesed he wasn't expecting this from his father he was expecting him to be much more severe then Leia. So although his father wa sblind tot he force he sent. 'Thanks dad, you're awsome.' And somehow, by the look on his father's face and a slight nod, it felt like he got the message. Han returned to his seat on the couch leaving Leia to speak. "Jacen," she began "Im so sorry, I shouldn't have said those things, I now realize how very much in love you two are, will you please forgive me?" she pleaded, as a single tear rolled down Leia's cheek. Jacen moved his index fingure to her cheek and embraced her in his arms. "Ofcourse I do mom, how can I not forgive you? You've done so much for me but this is just, well I love Danni so much and when I'm around her I'm just so happy, I only burst at you because I thought you were insulting her in a way." "I know, I'm sorry It's just, Oh my babies are growing up so fast, I just can't believe it. It's like yesterday I was holding you in my arms at the med center when you were no bigger then a carton of blue milk, and now.... Well now it looks like im on the verge of becoming a grandmother!" she teased, glancing at Jacen,Jaina, and Kyp who all blushed. Jacen smiled and he went over to the couch to join the other's. "So where is Danni?" Kyp asked, slightly grinning. "She's sleeping, I was actually wondering if she was just faking, she really didn't have to confront you guys," he said. "What? Did she think we'd blow it all out of proportion?" Leia asked, Jacen chuckled and turned to his mother. "Well that is sort of what you did mom," He replied, Leia flushed as everyone else laughed at the remark, Leia started to join the others laughter and eventually settled down. "Look when Danni gets up, don't give her such a hard time," Jacen said. "Oh sure," said Han grinning. "Not to hard atleast," --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Han and Leia were left snuggling on the couch. Luke had taken Jacen and Jaina to leave the others to plan a suprise birthday slash engagement party, Kyp had already started decorating more with Mara and others who came to the party. Leia couldn't believe it, where had the time gone? It had all just simply dissapeared. Both of her children were getting married. "Were really getting old arent we?" Leia asked her husband looking up. "I guess so," he said matter-of-fact "Why ask, isen't it obvious?" "Yeah well, it just seems like everything is going by so fast, both of our children are already getting married, and quite possibly on the verge of becoming parents," Leia sighed "How in the galaxy did all that happen so fast?" "Its just the way of things, princess, I try not to question it." "Why?" Leia asked. "Well, becuase you just end up losing more time." he replied. Leia leaned her forehead onto her husbands chest. She must have missed somthing, her life was speeding by and everything in it was just drifting away. "Well that's just all we need, more time." ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Danni's eyes fluttered open, her body was still slow and tired. She had fallen asleep again. 'What happend again?' she thought, she looked down and gaped at herself, she was naked, she quickly covered herself with the blanket although she was alone in the room. 'Oh yeah, Thats right...," she remebered as she blushed at the memory of last night and earlier this morning when Jacen's parents walked in on them, and also the aftermath after. She looked around the room to be sure she was alone, she was. She quickly got out of bed covering herself as much as possible and ran to her clothes scattered on the ground and gathered them all. She soon had felt a sticky substance on her clothes, ofcourse chocolate, they were covered in it and there were no other clothes of her own in the room. 'I can't wear these, what if im caught wearing these things,' she thought, but then again what is she were caught without them, they were the only clothes in the room she could wear. She sighed and quickly threw them on and wiped off as much as the chocolate as she could. and started our the door. She walked as face as she could carefully not to draw any attention to herself, at this point it would be embarresing if she were caught by one of the droids. She began to have small flashbacks from last night and earlier this morning. 'Oh, it was just so... wonderful,' she thought, she could not shake the thought. She memorized every part of Jacen and her making love and it sent chills down her spine, good chills. He had made her feel so completely wonderful, it was better then anything she had ever felt before. She also remembered how Jacen's parents barged in, and how she would have to face them sooner or later, and without Jacen with her, it seemed alot harder then she origanilly anticipated. "Good morning," cmae a startling voice from beside her, she hadn't even noticed that Kyp Durron was standing right at the intersection of one of the corridors leading to her room. "Oh, uh, hi Kyp." she said with a small hint of fake enthusiasm and a flush. "The laundry room is that way, if that's where you were planning on going." he stated pointing down the hall and indicating her clothing. She blushed again and glanced down. "Um, no actually I was heading to my room to get some new clothes," she stated with a hint of nervousness. Kyp had already succeeded in embarrassing her this much, now how much worse would it be with Jacen's parents. Kyp chuckled at Danni. "Very well then, have a good morning, oh and by the way, Leia and Han want to see you, were planning on a surprise birthday for Jacen and Jaina while there on the Errant Venture, they may want to speak to you about it, and a little more perhaps," he said again chuckling. "Thanks Kyp, I'll do that, bye" she said and without another word turned down the hallway to her room. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- "Do you think we should go get them a gift?" Leia asked her husband. "Maybe, but don't you think there a bit old for that, besides I think Danni gave Jacen enough of a gift already," he replied, and he was probably right, besides what would he want anyway, he already had Danni and the way she saw it, that was quite enough for Jacen. "Maybe we should get Jacen and Danni an engagement ring?" she said. "Jacen can handle it," Leia sunk back into her husbands side out of idea's for the party. Suddenly she had heard the door infront of them open, she opened her eyes to see Danni entering the room. The awkward silence she had experienced earlier with Jacen had returned. No one's eyes met, there was nothing but a completely uncomfortable silence. Finally Danni broke the silence. "Good morning," she somewhat stammered. "Hey," Han said. "Good morning, Danni," Leia followed trying to keep a straight face. Danni glanced at the floor and put her hands infront of her waist holding them together. "So, um, Kyp told me you wanted to see me, and if it's about this morning, well, I'm sorry that you saw, well you know what you saw and if you're mad at me I understand," she stammered looking at the floor not looking up. Leia almost felt like screaming at the scientist, but that wasn't at all fair, and she couldn't be mad at her either, it wans't her fault she was in love with her son. "Danni listen," Leia started "Were not angry at you, I thought I was but I'm not, the only reason I feel a bit upset is becuase of the way we found you two this morning, and I don't blame you one bit for it either, I know that your a very smart and responsible young woman and I know you love my son very much and I most certainly know he loves you, and if you make him feel one bit as happy as he has been the past few weeks, then I'm perfectly fine with the situation," she said, Danni looked back up at Leia and her facial expression changed and turned to one of surprise, she could've heard her sigh of relief from a mile away. "So you're really not angry with me?" Danni exlaimed sounding almost excited. "Nope, not at all," Han assured her. Leia could also feel the young scientists relief through the force. "Phew!" she sighed again. "You have no idea relieved I am now," she said. Leia could tellt he young scientist could feel much better, she had completely shut fown her force barriers, as if she didn't care if Leia read her emotions or not, she could have easily read Danni's mind and recall memories from last night, but she decided that would better be left between Jacen and Danni. "So," Danni started again "Kyp told me you were planning a surprise party for Jacen and Jaina?" "Yes, a birthday and engagement party infact, Jacen and Jaina are with Luke ont he Errant Venture for the day, which gives us the day to prepare," Leia said Danni's face gained a look of confusion. "How did you know Jacen and I were-," "Jacen told us earlier before you got up," said Han. "Oh, alright," "Congratulations, by the way," Leia said and smiled, Danni smiled back and nodded. "Anyway, Han and I were just about to watch a holovid before we got started, care to join us?" Leia asked, Danni smiled and walked toward the couch and sat with her future in-law parents. "Just one more question," said Han, Danni turned to Han. "Yes?" she asked. "On a scale of one to ten, how was Jacen?" Han asked and started to laugh. "Han!" Leia exlaimed and punched her husbands shoulder while Danni blushed. Leia turned to look at Danni, expecting to see a bright scarlet face, but saw her smiling at them silently with an honest face. "Eleven," Danni said quitely, Han and Leia turned to Danni and frowned. "You didn't have to answer kid," Han said somewhat blushing. 	Hold Me Close Finally I got this done, sorry it took so long, but I was having trouble with ideas. Luke takes Jacen and Jaina back planetside, unkown to them however is a party wiating for them. Chapter 2 - The After Party -------------------------- "Alright Leia, we'll head back now," Luke Skywalker switched off his comlink closing the line between he and his sister, the party was ready. "Who was it uncle?" came his nephew Jacen from behind. Luke immediantly slammed up his mental shield barriers so neither Jacen or Jaina could infiltrate his mind and discover the party planned for them back on Mon Cal. Luke smiled. "Oh just your mother checking up on us, so hows about we get back planetside, Booster said that all the repairs around here have been completed," he assured his nephew. "Yeah, its getting pretty boring up here anyways, lets go," Luke could tell his nephew was almost bored with fixing up the Errant Venture, what with giving an entire Star Destroyer a whole over-hual and complete diognostic check, he looked almost anoyed, but also anxious to leave. "What's the rush Jacen," came Jaina "a bit anxious to get back to Danni, huh?" she teased. Jacen grinned. "It's just that I want to make sure that mom and dad didn't tear her to shreds," "Relax Jace, she's fine I can sense your mother's emotions from here, she's actually in a quite joyfull mood, and I'm sure you can sense Danni's," Luke assured his nephew, he new that Jacen and Danni became quite inseperable and he could tell by the look on his face all he wanted to do is get back to Danni as fast as he could. "Fine let's just go," Jacen said and turned down the corrider, Luke and Jaina closely followed. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Leia raised the 'Happy Birthday' sign which was modified to say 'Happy Birthday + Engagment' with Mara while Han and Kyp got all other miscellanious decorations set around the wide open hall at their large residence. Leia glanced to the right of her and saw Danni rushing into the room, pushing a tray with holo floaters on it with a large chocolate cake atop it. "Is that it?" she called to Danni who was just settling the cake on a large table. The young scientist glanced over to Leia. "Yeah, just like the kind I made for Jacen last night, I'm sure Jaina would like to too, I've already had Kyp sample it," she replied. "Good, Han are all the guests here?" she asked her husband who just walked next to her helping her with the sign. "Yeah, the last of them just arrived," Han had gotten the Antillies, Calrissian's, Horn's, Talon Karrde and soon to be Shada Karrde and all of the other personal friends of the Solo's and Skywalker's. As soon as she was finished she rushed all over the room straightening and organizing every little thing that was out of place, she wanted this day to be perfect for her two children, It was going to be the most important day of their lives, until their wedding day ofcourse. "Leia?" came a vocie from her belt, it was her comlink. "Luke, what is it?" she asked her brother into the comlink. "It's us, were here we just landed outside, is everyhing ready?" "Yes just about, it's alright come in," she said and cut the conneciton on the comlink and re-atached it to her belt. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Jacen stepped off the ramp of the shuttle that had just touched down on the landing platform of his residence. Jacen noticed a strange sensation in his uncles features, he seemed to be over-excited about something, Jaina hadn't really seemed to notice but he was starting to get suspicious about him. He decided not to worry about it for now, atleast not until they got inside. They had just entered the complex then he saw his uncle turning to the main hall instead of the living areas. "Hey uncle where are you going?" he asked his uncle, the older man turned around and smiled. "Come on, I have a little surprise for you and Jaina," he replied, now he definantly kenw something was up with his uncle. He tried to sense for Danni, she had to be somewhere in the place. He found her, she seemed to be pretty joyful and happy, she also seemed pretty close, the residence was pretty big after all. He shifted around to look for Danni but he didnt see her. Then another sensation occured in his mind, he could sense his mother his father, Kyp, aunt Mara, and alot of the others, and they all seemed to be directly infront of him. But the large door blocked his vision and he hadn't noticed that they had just arrived directly infront of the door and his uncle was heading for the control pannel. Then it hit him. 'Ofcourse...,' he thought, the large door slid open and there they all were, Danni, his parents and every other close friend of the Solo's. "Surprise!" they all shouted and started laughing, he could feel a shiver running down his spine, it felt good but he also felt embarrassed, how could he have not seen this coming. He Jaina and Luke walked into the room and recieved a warm welcome from the others. "So what's the occasion?" Jacen asked and chuckled to himself. "Don't be foolish Jacen, it's you're birthday party and," his mother said and pointed to the sign which read 'Happy Birthday + Engagment' he smiled and hugged his mother and father and greeted the others who surrounded he and his sister who said their happy birthday's but mostly said congratulations. He made his way past the others and found Danni standing behind the crowd and quickly made his way to her. "Hey you," she said and he instantly found himself covering her lips in his as soon as he got to her. He pressed himself completely against her soft warm body. He pulled away and smiled. "Hey yourself, beautiful," he said and watched her flush. He immediantly embraced her in his arms disregarding everyone else in the room who were beginning to stare, but he didn't care in the least, he only cared about the beautiful woman beneath him. "I missed you," he said and leaned his forehead on hers. "I can tell," she replied carrassing his cheek with her backhand. He instantly remembered the time they spent together last night, and the morning which brought him to asking the question, "So my parents didn't give you any trouble this morning did they?" "No not really, infact they actually went pretty easy on me, I was surprised I was expecting to be chased out of here by your mother's lightsaber." Jacen chuckled, he was grateful that his parents took his request he made earlier this morning to heart, although he still expected his mother to go ballistic like she did with him, but she didn't and he was fine with that. He looked around and saw people weren't staring as much, his sister was where he expected her to be, in Kyp's arms just liked Danni was in his. "C'mon you two," came his father from behind. "time for something to eat," he said and pointed to the large chocolate cake on the table behind him. "No thanks dad I'm fine right here," and pulled Danni closer to him. She smiled and ran her finger down Jacen's chest. "C'mon Jacen, it's the same kind of cake I made for you last night," she promted. Jacen raised his eyebrows and immediantly took her hand "Let's go!" he exlaimed and literally pulled her to the cake where everyone was gathering. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ "Oh wow Danni this is great!" said Leia who was eating a slice of the cake Danni had specially made for the party. "Thanks Leia," she said and smiled, she saw Jaina throw a somewhat playful glare at her, she was still jealous that Danni was a much better cook then her. She laughed when she could tell Jaina wasn't angry. "You know, for Kyp's sake, you should teach Jaina to cook like this," Han said to Danni. "Dad!" Jaina exlaimed, Kyp reached for Jaina's shoulder to calm her. "It's alright sweetheart, you're food's just fine," he said placing his hand on her shoulder. Danni was starting to feel a bit awkward though, "You know Jaina, if you do wan't any pointers, I really don't mind," she told Jaina. "No really it's fine, I'll manage on my own," she assured her. Everyone laughed, and Danni felt Jacen's arm coming around her shoulder. She leaned onto him sinking into his Jedi robe. He held her closer and pushed his nose in her hair and sniffed, she reached up and touched his face, she could feel him stiffen obviously afraid he would be slapped like last time. She ran the back of her fingers across his jaw, she felt hair on it again, she looked up at him and frowned. Dont worry, I'll shave it off again, he sent via the force. She smiled and leaned back onto him. Suddenly they could hear soft music playing and lighting appeared all around them. She saw couples starting toward a soft blank area on the floor, a dance floor. She smiled and looked back up at Jacen. "Have we ever danced together before?" she asked him. He looked down and smiled. "I guess not," he replied. "but there's always a first for everything," he took her and and led her to the dance floor. He grabbed her waist and held her close, and started moving to the music. She hugged him close and simply moved with him, hoping this moment would never end, she felt like crying, she had never felt this happy before. "What's wrong sweetheart?" Jacen asked sounding concerned. She looked up at him and smiled. "Whats wrong is that I love you so much, Jacen Solo," she said, he grinned and brought there lips together and kissed warmly, she poured all the love she felt for this man into the kiss. She pulled away and continued hugging him. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Jaina watched Jacen and Danni as she danced with Kyp, she smiled, she was glad to see how close they had gotten, but she also felt a bit jealous and she didn't exactly know why. "Hey Kyp," she said softly. He looked down. "Yeah sweetheart?" "Look at Jacen and Danni," she said and he did, he looked a bit confused, as if he didn't know what he was looking for. "Yeah I see them, their dancing, like us," He said and looked down at her and smiled. "Well they certainly look like their already married," She said and frowned. "Do you think that their more romantic then we are?" Kyp frowned. "Why would you ask that? Does it really matter?" She sighed and laughed at herself. "No, you're right im sorry," "You don't have to apologize to me for anything sweetheart, all that matters is that I love you," he pulled her to him and kissed her, they pulled away and they resumed dancing. He was right, nothing else mattered, it was just perfect. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Han watched his son while sitting at a table with Lando, Wedge and Talon. "The nine hells of Corellia are still hells right?" Lando asked Han. Han laughed at his friend, he was right though his son and Danni had certainly gotten their acts together. "Yeah I'd never thought I'd see this, well until this morning that is," He said, all of the men at the table turned to him and looked a bit confused. "Why, what happened this mroning?" asked Talon. Han pondered wether or not he should tell the other's about what He and his wife had discovered this morning. "It's nothing, forget it," "No tell us, I wanna know," said Wedge Antillies who was leaning over the table. Han chuckled and decided it would'nt hurt to tell the three friends. "Well ya' see, Leia and I had realized we had forgotten Jacen's birthday yesterday, so we quikly got everyone together to surprise Jacen, before he got really angry at us," he said as everyone leaned over the table completely suspensing in what he was saying, "So we all went to Jacen's room and got ready to surprise him, and just as we barged into the room, we saw Jacen's room was a complete mess, chocolate was everywhere and Jacen was in his bed, but he wasn't alone," he said leaving the others to figure out the rest on their own, but it was obvious by the look on their faces they already had. "They didn't!" Lando blurted, pounding his palm on the table. "You're serious, they actually...," exlaimed Wedge. "Well are you sure they... did it?" Talon asked, his face in awe. "Well what convinced me was the red negligee on the floor near the bed, and all the other clothes," All of the men were silent, so silent han was actually getting concerned. But suddenly they all blurted out laughing. "Oh wow, I wish I was there, I would've loved to have that on a holo to watch later," Lando stammered through laughter. "Yeah heh, I wish I could've seen the look on their faces," Wedge also stammered. "Yea it was definantly something, and it's definantly something I won't let the two of them forget," Han said as he joined the other's in laughter. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ He held Danni closer, not wanting any of this to end. Force he loved this woman, he didn't know how to express in words how much he loved her, he just simply loved her to death. He looked forward to his future with Danni with much enthusiam, and promise. Their were so many things he wanted to experience with her. He saw so many things ahead of them, one of them being, having children. He felt Danni lean up to his ear. "I can't wait," she said. He smiled at her. "You read my mind?" he asked. "Yeah," she said and nibbled on his earlobe. "So," he said, feeling awkward about what he was about to say. "When do you wanna start?" She looked up at him and smiled. "Didn't we already? Twice?" she said. "Oh right," he said and blushed. "But a third wouldn't hurt would it?" he said and kissed her cheek. "Well," she said, and carrassed his cheek. "How soon do we get out of here?" she said seductively. 	Omg, finally updated, yes I'm soooo lazy. Hold Me Close Chapter 3 - Now What? _______________________________________________________________________________________ "Alpha-One, do you have any readings?" asked Alpha-Leader of the Team-B science team that had been sent to Coroscaunt to extract the Yuzhaan Vong's unique technology they had left behind. "No sir, nothing on scanners, I'd say it's safe to proceed," The scientist replied. "Alright, Alpha-Three and Five, stay here and set up a CP, One, Two and Four, come with me," He said and set off into a damp cave ahead of them. "Alpha-Two, pull out that scanner for any readings," said Alpha-Leader, the other scientists pulled out a cubic device with a large antennae on it. The team proceded deeper into the cave and passed alot of old junk which they scanned to see if it was Yuzhaan Vong and if it was still in comission. Nothing so far, but most of the old junk was definantly Yuzhaan Vong. If the Galactic Allaince could harvest some of the YV technology and turn it to work for them, then the GA's military system could me completely unstoppable, but still the real trick was learning how to work all of that lifelike tech. And the fact that the tech was actualy alive made it much more difficult. "Anything Two?" A-Leader asked. "No sir," Alpha-Two replied. He sighed and proceeded deeper inside, with every step he took he couldn't help but feel an eerie presence come over him, he didn't like it. "Four hand me the comlink, I'm going to check in with Three and Five," he asked as Alpha-Four handed him the comlink. "Alpha-Three, do you read me?" he asked as he spoke into the comlink. "Loud and clear sir," "Good, have you picked up anything yet?" "Not yet sir, but we have been hearing alot of strange noises around here," Three said, speaking with the same eerieness that he was feeling. "Noises dont concern me, are you sure theres nothing?" he prompted again. "No sir I alr-...sa......tha...." came a scrambled message from Alpha-Three. "Come again, I didn't get that," he said into the comlink. And what he heard next fairly alarmed him. He heard more static, and also distance sounds that could only be described as blaster shots. He didn't like this at all, he tried again. "Three do you read me, what's going on?!" he said. But just more static. He just stood there holding the comlink waiting for a response. Finally he heard a distant voice coming through.... but it wasn't Alpha-Three. Suddenly he heard a dark damp voice through the comlink. The words being spoken were unintellagable, and it scared the hell out of him. Suddenly a large thud came from behind them. The entire team turned around to face the noise, but saw nothing. Then they heard a distant noise, it was laughter, a low damp and utterly evil sound. The enitre team drew there DH-17 blasters and pointed them into the direction it came from. All of a sudden he heard a loud but brief shriek from behind, it was Alpha-One, he turned to One's position, but there was no one there. "What the hells going on!?" said Alpha-Five. "I don't know," Alpha-Leader said, suddenly he heard a beeping sound, it came from the scanner Alpha-Two had, he turned to face him, he saw the scanner, but no Alpha-Two. "That's it, I'm outa here!" yelled Alpha-Five and he took off running back out the cave. "Alpha-Five wait!" But he didn't answer and just kept running. Soon he was out of sight and he could hear the patter of his running until he heard a loud scream from where Alpha-Five had ran. Alpha-Leader backed into the wall totally petrified, his entire team was gone just like that. He heard a soft clank from the side and pointed his blaster that way. He saw a dark tall figure ahead of him. "Who are you!?" he yelled out at the figure, he shifted around and saw several more figured approaching from all sides as they started walking toward him. "Stay back!" he said but it was no use. In time all of the figures converged on him and a loud scream echoed throught the cave. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- She sturred around in bed, alarmed by a sort of pecking sound of metal on wood. She decided to ignore it for now, she didn't want to get up yet. She dove her face back into her pillow and tried to go back to sleep. And suddendly a sort of loud thud caused her eyes to shoot open and twist around in the bed. "I was having a good dream," she said to herself. Finally she gave in and looked to where the noise had come from. It was her comlink, it had fallen of her dresser and onto the ground. She remembered she had set it on vibrate after going to bed last night, which must be the reason for the pecking she heard earlier. She let out a deep sigh and began to pull herself up when she was halted by somthing that was holding her by the waist. She turned over to see Jacen holding her close to himself. Danni smiled and flushed at the handsome Jedi. Slowly and quietly she removed herself from Jacen's grasp and put a pillow where Jacen was holding her. She got to her feet and tugged on her night gown to straighten it and made for the comlink that lay on the floor. She bent over and picked it up switching it on to answer. "Hello?" she said quietly, not wanting to wake Jacen. "Danni? Oh good I was hoping you would answer," came the voice from the other side of the conversation, she recognized the voice immediantly. "Master Skywalker? Why are you calling me so early," she said with a hint of irritation in her voice. "Now Danni, how many times have I told you to call me Uncle Luke, we're almost family remember," he replied. Danni smirked. "Right 'Uncle Luke', so what is it you called me for," she asked, hoping it was somthing which required no real concern so she could just get back to bed. "Well, I'm sorry to say it's somthing that does require a bit of concern Danni, infact I'm going to need you to meet me on the Crimson Shadow shortly," he said, obviously he had read her mind, his voice suddenly turned to one of eerieness, it send a soft chill down her spine. Then she had recalled the name 'Crimsion Shadow', which was a name she was unfamiliar with. "Uh... The Crimson Shadow? What is that a starship or somthing?" she said confused. "I didn't think you would have heard of it, it's actualy a Mandator-class Star Defender capitol ship," He replied. "Really? What's a ship like that doing here, I've heard those are rare, and also heard that their pretty big," Danni said curiously. "They are big, actualy it's first purpose was to challenge Imperial Star Dreadnaughts in the war against thrawn, and they've prooved to be useful in the Yuzhaan Vong War so far, anyway I can't exactly tell you why it's here, I can only tell you there has been an incident on Coroscaunt and it needs your immediant attention," Danni was confused now, what could be going on on Coroscaunt, now its merely a barren wastland planet in the process of reconstruction since the Yuzhaan Vong have been thaught to have left it. She had remembered she had been originoly been assigned to acompany a small science team that was being sent to Coroscaunt to harvest the Yuzhaan Vong technology left behind and study it, but since Jacen had then just proposed to her the team she was suppsoed to go with had insisted on her staying on Mon Cal. "So I don't really have a choice in the matter?" she said after a brief silence. "Im afraid not," Luke replied. Danni sighed. "Fine, what are the cordinates on this thing?" "You wont need any, trust me just head right into the arbit, it's settled right above the GA embassy," "Alright I'll see you there," Danni said and switched off her comlink. 'Now what could be going on...' she thought to herself. She turned around to look at Jacen's sleeping figure, she smiled and walked over to the bed. She bent down and kissed his forehead and turned and left. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Luke sat down in a chair, he was in a meeting room aboard the Crimson Shadow Mandator-class Star Defender, waiting for, Sien Sovv, and Danni Quee arrive. Kenth Hammer was already in the room with him. "So do you know what this is all about?" Luke asked the Jedi Master slash Military Specialist who sat in a chair across from him. "I have an idea, but I really hope I'm wrong," The look of concern on Kenth's face troubled Luke, it also brought troubling thoughts to his mind. "You've never been one to doubt yourself Kenth, tell me what's wrong?" the Jedi Master prompted. "I will as soon as the others arrive," This was really troubling Luke, it must have been somthing big to get the Supreme Commander of the GA Defense Fleet involved. But what could be the reason for calling Danni here, not that he thought as Danni as an unimportant asset to the situation, but she was a mere scientist slash Jedi Trainiee, what could she have to do with this? The Jedi Masters thoughts where interrupted by the opening of a door next to him, in the door way of the entrance to the room stood a tall Sullustian. "Supreme Commander Sovv, welcome." said Kenth, the Sullustian approached the table and sat in a chair at the end of the long table. "I assume you have a good reason for calling me here," said Sovv. "Yes, if the information I have is correct, then there is a very good reason," Kenth assured Sovv who was already becoming impatient. "Then what are we waiting for?" Sovv asked bashfully. "Danni Quee," came Luke. The expression of the Sullustain's face came to a krooked forwn and squinting eyes. "The scientist? What's she got to do with this?" Sovv asked abruptedly. "All in good time commander, I'll explain everything as soon as she gets here," So the three of them all sat quietly for a short while, not talking, no ones eyes meeting, and Sovv started falling asleep. Meanwhile Luke returned to his thoughts, dwelling on what could be happening, he was still unsure of many things, but he had a few troubling idea's of what was going on, and such bad timing too, his family was in the state of jubilation, both his neice and his nephew were getting married in a couple of weeks. And just a few days earlier the family had discovered that Jaina was pregnant. Things had really turned around. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Danni rushed through the halls and corridors of the large vessel, looking for the right room she was suppsoed to be in. She was very lost indeed. She had not been in a ship this big since Eclipse, and she could barely find her away around there too. Finally she gave up and turned to a gaurd who happend to be passing by. "Exuse me, can you tell me where conference room 3-B is?," she asked the armored guard. "Yes, it's the room right there," the guard said, pointing to a room to the right a few meters away from where they were standing. "You've got to be kidding me," Danni breathed, and paced to the room. She stopped before the switch board next to door and hit the 'Open' button. She walked in and saw Luke Skywalker, Kenth Hammer, and Supreme Commander Sien Sovv. Her soon-to-be uncle and Kenth Hammer turned to her while Sien Sovv was face down on the table, seemingly sleeping. "Ah, good morning Danni," said Luke who smiled. "Miss Quee," Kenth Hammer greeted politely while Sien Sovv had just raised his head and turned to Danni. "Good you're here, have a seat so we can begin," he said sheepishly. Danni pulled up a chair and sat down next to Luke. "Now Kenth, tell us what this is all about," said Luke. Kenth Hammer sighed and glanced at everyone. "Very well, well let's start with why you're here Miss Quee," he said looking at Danni. "You are familiar with the alpha science team that was sent to with a restoration team to Coroscaunt about a week ago, correct?" Kenth asked. "Yes, I wass originoly assigned to go with them, but they insisted I stayed on Mon Calamari since my recent engagment," Danni replied. "Good, so then I can tell you that you're here becuase you're the only surviving member of that team with the classified information that they had acquired about the YV technology over the past 3 weeks since the last battle with the Yuzhaan Vong," Kenth said. Danni had not heard anything that the Jedi Master had said after 'member'. "What do you mean I'm the last surviving member!?" Danni blurted as she shot up out of her chair. Everyone's shocked eyes had turned to Kenth waiting for him to speak again. "I'm afraid that the bodies of the team have been recovered yesterday, they were all dead, murdered." Kenth said grimly, Danni's face crumbled, her head dropped down and a single tear fell from her face. "Danni, I'm sorry," said Luke. Danni raised her head slowly. "Rod Starling was the leader of that team, he was a close friend on the Eclipse," she said as another tear fell. "Here sit down," Luke said pulling out a chair and slowly sitting Danni down. Danni sniffed sadly and rubbed her cheek. "Danni, I'm sorry for you're loss, but the team managed to get some vital data on some of the YV technology they have aquired, it was highly classified stuff, and only the team and other branches of the GA Science Department had access to it," Kenth explained to Danni as she started coming back to her senses, she sniffed one last time and looked at Kenth. "So you need me to give you the data they aquired?" Danni asked, Kenth nodded. "Why would you need it, all we have on it is some detailed filed on there ships structures and also some files on how there weapons and armor worked, what use is that to you," Danni prompted Kenth as he frowned at the question. "Because," Kenth said. "I feel we may be needing to use that information soon," he said, again with a dull voice. Everyone's facial expression suddenly turned confused and also afraid. "Sien Sovv, this is why you're here," Kenth said and turned to a holoscreen, pressing a switch near on the wall, activating it. The screen flickered to life, the screen showed Coroscaunt and alos showed somthing else on the otherside of it, nearly out of veiw. They were several capitol ships approaching Coroscaunt, Yuzhaan Vong, there were many many small dots around them, obviously coralskippers. Sien Sovv's eyes and mouth widened. "This is impossible! All of the Yuzhaan Vong were destroyed during that last battle at Mon Calamari!" "Apparently not," added Luke. "Well there must be over 50 capitol ships there! not to mention the lower class vessels and the thousands of coralskippers!" Sien Sovv shouted. This was bad, the GA fleet was already in dissary as it was, not to mention their military. How could they deal with so many of them still left. "Listen, we still have the numbers on our side," Kenth said. "But If you don't exactly remember, numbers don't seem to matter to the Yuzhaan Vong, not to mention how hard it is to take down a single capitol ship," "But don't forget we do have the yammosk jammers thanks to Miss Quee here, still I'm not saying it will be easy," Kenth said wearily. "Ofcourse not, don't you remember Coroscaunt? This seems pretty much like that!" "We didn't have the jammers then, or the Empire on our side then," Kenth said. "Fine, enough of this discussion, Cal Omas needs to be informed immediantly, and I need to assemble the GA's leaders, this needs to be brought to their attention at once!" Sovv yelled, his voice deepening. "Very well," Kenth said as Sien Sovv rose and left the room. "Now, we are going to be sending another team soon, and well as militay personel, we will need more information of there technology if we are going to win this," Kenth said to Danni and Luke. "You're sending another team? After what happend to Alpha?" Luke blurted. "Rest assure, the military personel will be great, and we will be having the fleet standing by." Kenth assured Luke, Luke nodded but still with a doubtful face. "Now Miss Quee, it is vital that we have those files, immediantly," Kenth said to Danni. Danni was still having a hard time accepting was was happening. 'Why now? Of all times now?' She thought to herself, she was so upset, with her wedding comeing up in a few weeks. All she wanted to do was to settle down with Jacen, she just wanted a normal life now, but once again the Yuzhaan Vong have prolonged another jubilation. Her anger was about to flare, those evil creatures were ruining everything again. They had already threatened her life with Jacen and anything they may have had together, and if it weren't for Jacen, that would've been the case. Now she was ready to do anything she had to to put an end to it all. "I'll give you the files," She said. "But on one condition." _____________________________________________________________________________________________________ There we go, I finally updated it, I'm sorry it took so long, it's just everytime I'm not infront of the computer writing a story, I find myself loosing motivation. But its like w/e I start writing a fic I just get hooked into it.
