	Hey everyone! Another update for you! I hope you enjoy! Comments are greatly appreciated!! For once in what seemed like a very long time to both Leia and Han, Luke Skywalker finally got a peaceful night’s sleep. Despite the med-droid that came in once or twice every hour to monitor his vital signs, the youth never once as opened an eye. Occasionally he’d stir, every once in a while, just enough to assure Leia he was alright, but never fully awakened and would quickly return to his quiet state. The princess actually caught herself dozing off a few times, relieved in knowing Luke was relatively safe. But most of the time she kept a watchful eye on her brother, whose features she noticed were even softer, more childlike, under the flickering glow of the holovision. She’d turned it on, muted, when she was sure he was soundly sleeping. The light not only served to keep her awake, but helped her see him better. Around dawn, Han came back to take another shift and give her some relief. It seemed he hadn’t been asleep the entire night, because he was toting a bag full of get-well presents for Luke. The princess tried, unsuccessfully, to hide a smile at the thoughtfulness of the former smuggler, and he scowled, not liking to be made fun of, and knowing full well that he’d gone soft- a long time ago. On her way back to the ship, Leia sleepily deduced that Han had to have gone out some time during the night- force knows where- to buy the gifts, unless he’d found some things around the Falcon to give to Luke. What a sweet nerf-herder she had. She’d sleep better knowing Luke had his “big brother” to watch over him. The first thing Luke noticed when he awoke was the strange noise. It was faint, thrumming, and vaguely familiar. It was a comforting sound and he remembered he liked it. It took the youth a few moments to realize what it was, his mind still fighting off the haziness of unconsciousness, but as soon as thunder rumbled, the farmboy from Tatooine put a name to it. Rain. Opening his eyes, the second thing Luke noticed was Han. His best friend was seated in a chair nearby, staring absently at a hand of cards. The youth rubbed sleepily at his eyes, and in an instant the Corellian had forgotten about the cards. “Luke,” he exclaimed, setting the deck on the side table. He grinned and added softer, “Hey, Sleepyhead, about time you woke up.” Luke smiled weakly. He didn’t really have the strength to do anything else. Even raising his hand up to rub his eye had taken a considerable amount of energy. Han was watching him with concern. “How ya feeling?” Luke’s normally bright blue eyes were tired and partially closed. He shrugged, the best he could, but Solo understood. “Exhausted, huh, kiddo.” Upon seeing Luke discouraged at his weakness he added. “You’ve got every right to be. Corellian fever’s nasty enough as it is without catching the flu on top of it.” A little smile from the kid. He still seemed discouraged though. Solo grinned back, but the expression was traced with concern. He tried his best to hide it, so not to worry his young friend, but there was something about seeing the usually bright-eyed and energetic youth so sapped of his strength. Luke swallowed to work moisture back in his throat. He tried to ask if he could have a drink but all that came out was the last word, and that as a hoarse croak. Once again though, Solo understood and nodded. “Thirsty, kid? He quickly got up to retrieve a paper cup from the table. “This is mine but I haven’t had any yet. You can have it.” Luke tried to sit up a little. “Don’t, Luke. I’ll help you.” The Corellian moved over towards the boy, who sank back wearily on the pillow. “Have you tried drinking anything yet?” Luke shook his head no slightly. “I’m not so sure it’s a good idea then. Might wanna ask Two-One-Bee, huh?” Luke looked as if he didn’t agree. Solo sniffed at the cold drink, found it was clear fizzade. “I’m really thirsty,” the young Jedi whispered. His mouth was dry, his throat burned and he wanted drink a whole lake without stopping. How long had it been since he'd had a sip of anything? He hefted pleading, blue eyes onto hazel ones. It didn’t take long for Solo to give in. “All right, kid.” He softened. “But just a little sip.” Luke gave him a grateful look, and Han carefully raised his head up, bringing the drink to his lips. Luke gulped the drink greedily and Solo quickly took it away. “Hey!” he scolded. “I said a sip!” “That was a sip,” Luke half croaked, half whispered after swallowing . “A thirsty sip.” He smiled and there was a mischievous Skywalker glint to his eyes, despite his exhausted weakness. Solo had seen that look before, usually right when Luke was about to get up to his ears in trouble, but he couldn’t help but grin back. The drink stayed down, much to both of their relief, and the youth was staring at the paper cup again. Han helped him to take a few more “sips”, before deciding that was enough for now. Drowsily, Luke watched the Corellian set the cup down. He suddenly had to fight to keep his eyes open. The youth tried to cover a yawn, but Solo didn’t miss it. “Sleepy, Junior?” But as stubborn as Luke Skywalker was, he would not give his heavy lids a chance to close. He glanced over the side table, looking for something to keep him distracted. There was a piece of flimsy standing up on it that hadn’t been there before. “What’s that?” he croaked, indicating the table with his gaze. “This?” Han picked up the folded piece of flimsy. Luke nodded slightly. “Oh.” The Corellian smiled, a bit awkwardly. “I kinda got bored this morning I guess, so I started drawing this for you.” He handed Luke it, and watched the kid’s expression brighten visibly. Luke studied the card, which was decorated in cheerful colors. On the inside was a drawing of the Millenium Falcon, which was surprising life-like, considering it had been done with colorwaxes. And then there was everyone beside it- Han, Leia, him, Chewie, Artoo and Threepio. Luke noted that Threepio was further away from everyone and also that the former smuggler was a pretty good artist. The only thing that wasn’t proportional was how large the mouthpiece was on the golden droid’s face. “You made Threepio’s mouth really big, Han.” Luke stated. He looked over at the former-smuggler, who was watching him in amusement. “Yeah. I kinda did that on purpose.” Luke laughed. It was a quiet, tired, laugh, just a giggle, but it was the first time he’d done so since before getting sick, Han noted. Solo also chuckled out of happy relief and at remembering his own drawing. “There’s uh.. something on the back, too,” the Corellian pointed out casually, and Luke turned the flimsy over. It read, “Get well soon, Luke. We’re pulling for you. We all love you so much, kid. ” And suddenly the youth’s vision blurred. Luke looked over at his friend, who had taken a sudden interest in the floor tiles “Thanks, Han,” he choked, still holding onto the card. Stars, being sick made him over-emotional! He tried to roll over, before the other could get a look at his face, which was becoming streaked with tears. Han, however, heard a sniffle, and quickly stood. “Hey,” he soothed softly, gently grabbing Luke’s arm. Luke turned back toward him, teary-eyed. “I think your fever’s coming back, kid.” He laid a hand across Luke’s forehead, before gently brushing away one of his tears. The youth really did feel warmer. Then Han smiled slightly, indicating the card. “That’s supposed to make you happy, not cry.” “Sorry,” Luke whispered, weakly swiping away the residual wetness. “You just need another nap, kid.” Han assured him. “Sleep it off.” This time, Luke did not refuse. He closed his eyes, still sniffling a little, and clutching the card the other had made him. Han gently rubbed his forearm until he’d calmed down, waiting until the youth had fallen into a light sleep, before draping the blanket back over him and returning to his chair. The kid had laughed today. Then again, he’d also cried, but it was still progress. Slowly but surely. They’d get him back. Hope you enjoyed! Comments are very much appreciated! 	awh star that was the sweetest ever! It made me tear up too! I can see Han sliding ever so reluctantly (but at the same time easily!) into that kinda relationship with Luike...beautiful!!!
