</Kick Note> The second part of this Chapter is pretty intense, so if you have an overly weak stomach, be mindful. This will be the last post this week. Chapter III is ready to go and I'm currently writing chapter IV. I'm thinking it'll probably end up being 6-8 chapters, probably.
"So. You're a good Sword and a rotten Jedi. But even if you get back to being a good Jedi, you're going to die. You know why? Because you're trainng in Jedi skills as though you're going to have a straight-up Jedi duel with your enemies, all lightsabers and light-side Force tricks. But you need to think like someone who hunts Jedi. Like me." He stepped so close to Jaina that Zekk thought for a moment he was going to stoop and kiss her. That's what I did. And I beat you."
Fury pg.s 112-113
Chapter II - Rescue
Luke Skywalker stood looking out the window in his private quarters, gazing at the Hapan scenery that surrounded the Jedi base. The beauty and peace of the Jedi retreat was a direct counterpoint to the dark and ugly disquiet that was plaguing his soul.
Whatever peace he had had in his turbulant life had died with his precious Mara. The accomodations were perfect, as always Queen Mother Tenel Ka had been the friend to the Jedi and an ally when they were in need.
Luke felt the storm cloud that was his niece approaching his door. Her turmoil reminded him so much of Mara that sometimes - if only for an instant- he thought it was his wife's prescense. Finally she gently knocked and entered the room. He did not turn to greet her for a long moment but he did speek, "I'm glad your well, Jaina. Did you learn what you think you needed to?"
"Yes, Grand Master." Her tone was indifferent, emotionless.
Skywalker turned, motioning for Jaina to sit in meditation position on the floor where he quickly joined her. He wasn't sure what he thought of his niece facing down Darth Caedus. If she were to be killed he, Han and Leia would not survive it.
"You've changed Jaina, you feel completely void inside."
"It's the way I had to become to face what I must, and I must deal with Darth Caedus."
Jaina was surprised at how difficult it was for her to say the name, considering she had become resigned to the fact that she would attempt to kill him; not apprehend but kill.
This was the first time she had seen or spoken directly to her uncle since Darth Caedus' confession that he had killed Mara Skywalker. Jaina could hardly look at him. His heartbreak matched her own, she knew. Was there something more they should have seen? Was there anything they could have done to keep Jacen from taking this path?
He read her thoughts, "Don't blame yourself Jaina. You were his sister not his Master, the failure is mine. In addition, Jacen has ultimately made his own choices. I loved all three of you so much. I lost Anakin and Jacen, I can't loose you."
"You won't I promise," Jaina said with determination in her voice. She knew that something had been different in Jacen since the beginning of the Yuuzhan Vong war. But, after Myrkr and torture at the claws of Vergere her twin had ceased to exist; what returned was another lifeform, another entity.
Jaina believed that was the most difficult burden for her uncle to bear, the burden of knowing that he had failed Jacen in some way and that failure had resulted in the tragedy that had become Jacen's life. He was all too aware of the consequences that his failure had and would continue to have on the galaxy for generations. Luke Skywalker had suffered the ultimate price for whatever way he had failed his nephew, no one would suffer more.
"This isn't your burden Jaina. It certainly isn't your burden to bear alone. I wish now I would have never named you the Sword of the Jedi, it has done nothing but cause you undue pain and hardship. Jaina, I'm truly sorry."
She shook her head vehemently, afraid that he had added an unnecessary sorrow to his already overwhelming burdens, "Don't be Uncle Luke, everything happens for a reason."
Before he spoke again Jaina knew what he would say. He had had another vision, and like the other possible futures he had seen in the last year it was difficult to judge and even harder to allude to. He looked down and stared at his artificial hand that he flexed repeatedly. "I've had a vision...", he trailed off and Jaina knew that he wouldn't go into any details. Finally he continued, "and I know that Darth Caedus must be stopped or the consequences will be unimagineable."
"Are you coming with me then?" Jaina said as she took his hand in her own.
"I don't know what I should do Jaina. I just don't know. " Her uncles sorrowful blue eyes found hers then, "regardless of whether or not I go with you Jaina, I will be with you...always."
Jaina smiled at her uncle and gently kissed his forehead, "Don't worry Uncle Luke, Sith Lords are my specialty." She leaned over then and put her head on his shoulder, "And I want you to know that you did not fail. Everyone just loves to be critical of you, but not one of them could have done it better, and not one of them had the burdens and expectations put on their shoulders that you had put on yours."
He grinned at her, "I'm not perfect Jaina."
"Says who? I'll whip them too. I'm just in that kind of mood."
He actually laughed then, "All right my little Mara, as you wish." He hugged her close. "You always were more our daughter than our niece."
Luke then winked at her, "Maybe Colonel Fel could come adjust that mood, I take it you had a nice trip back to base."
She said nothing, nodding, her head still on his shoulder.
"Thats good. I know you needed the comfort. It's so obvious that you're in love with him Jaina. Everyone knows it, maybe you should accept it."
"I don't want to hurt him again." She said quietly. "It seems that it's all I've ever done."
Luke was thoughtful, "But thats part of life Jaina, you grow through your experiences. Mara tried to kill me at one time as well, so you and Jag aren't all that different. We're complicated people who live complicated lives, you must allow for that."
"I know," she said and then added, "I know you put us together on that strike team on purpose, and I want to thank you."
Luke Skywalker smiled but said nothing.
"I miss her so much Uncle Luke," Jaina said, tears starting to sting her eyes.
"I know, Jaina, me too."
He kissed Jaina's forehead. "Come now. It's time for the grand planning session, let's see what we can come up with. And we better not be late, or else one of the many young ladies that constantly eyes Colonel Fel may get your seat beside him."
Jaina snorted, "I'm not worried."
The Jedi Grand Master stood and pulled his niece to her feet, "Let's go."
One Week Later
He finally had her in his arms again. It had been the longest few days of his life. It had been worse than when he had been stranded on Tenupe, if that was possible. Jaina had gotten seperated from everyone else and had cut her commlink off in her blind undaunting mentality to hunt and destroy Darth Caedus. They had tried to reach her to no avail, and now it was the consequence of that failure that he held.
Gently but firmly, he pulled her through the levels of port holes in the roof of the Millennium Falcon. He held her close as the doors closed airtight after them.
Her father’s calm, seasoned, but anxious voice came over the comlink, “You got her, Jag?”
“Yes, we’re secured, go,” came the young man's impatient voice. That was uncommon for him. He was usually the model of complete control.
Gently and confidently, like a mythological hero of the past, Jag carried Jaina in his arms and sat down on the med bunk with her. It was the same table that Luke Skywalker had laid on nearly four decades earlier after his battle with a Sith Lord.
And for the first time Jag looked at her lying there in his arms. Her beautiful face was beaten and lacerated almost beyond recognition. The rust colored blood had dried and hardened over all of the skin that it touched.
Her tiny frame completely crumpled and crushed.
It was said that Jedi knew not emotion or death.
Jag didn’t believe it.
Jaina looked every bit of death at that moment. Only the pulse that he faintly felt made him believe otherwise. The emotion of the battle she had just waged was as evident as the lightsaber torture marks that grazed her torso. Jag knew every inch of that torso and what he saw astounded him.
Her clothes were torn and tattered to the point that their purpose was void. Making a quick battle field triage Jag estimated that both femurs were broken, and her clavicle which was protruding into his chest. The deep bruising in her middle probably meant cracked or broken ribs. Jaina’s right arm fell limply off the side of the table with a dead thud. Quickly Jag lifted it and held her hand trying desperately to caress life back into it.
But all of these injuries were not what worried him the most. What worried him most was the blood oozing out of her mouth. That meant internal injuries: bad ones. The blood from her mouth was joined by blood from the facial lacerations, it was executing a mass exodus from her tiny body: leaving her to die.
It ran everywhere, it ran through her hair and on to the floor, it ran on the walls of the famous battered old freighter where she had spent so much of her life, it ran over Jag as if he was injured.
He just sat and held her. Her mother would be there soon and she would know what to do.
His mind and soul were filled with every emotion of the human spectrum. That was an irony for Jag, the fortitude of his Imperial Chiss upbringing was relenting. As he looked at Jaina he felt love, rage, hate and anger, but most of all he felt an almost illogical sense of protectiveness.
That he knew she wouldn’t like.
And for one of the few times in his thirty three years he began to cry.
Jagged Fel was raw.
Jagged Fel was being reborn.
His jaded green eyes became more than there normal clarity and focus. They became glazed and completely hardened, with a new purpose in life. A purpose that he had been born to fulfill, and would now complete. One way or another, all of the pain and destructive conflict would not touch him again. It had nearly cost him Jaina twice now, and this time it could cost him her life.
Jag smiled to himself it would end because he would have order. He would make it end.
He swore every Chiss curse word in the vocabulary. Right then and there he promised himself that if Jaina lived he would take her away from all of this. All of the madness and dysfunction if it was the last thing he did, and even if he had to physically restrain and carry her. He had hunted Jedi, he could manage that. He didn’t know when or where exactly, but he would carve a new beginning for himself and Jaina somewhere safe.
He desperately kept listening to her heartbeat willing it to keep going.
He sobbed into her hair, completely oblivious to the blood bath that it was putting on his handsome features. He held her tighter to him, as he began to shake in rage and shock.
If she died here he would die too, he knew it to be true. He would become a walking dead man for the rest of his life just like her grandfather had been. Force power or no, people would fear him like that.
They would beg for Thrawn.
They would beg for Vader.
Jag clenched his hand tighter around Jaina’s. These thoughts were not good he knew, but he would deal with that later.
These were his thoughts, these were his existence in those historic moments.
For what seemed an eternity, time stood still for Jagged Fel. The turmoil of the rebirth inside of him raging.
He was so enraptured in his pain and grief that he never heard the voices come down the corridor. He never heard or saw Leia Organa-Solo gasp and hit her knees directly in front of him. Yes, the strongest being ever born had been reduced to that. Not even she would survive this. Not again.
Ben Skywalker stood there behind his aunt, motionless and expressionless as he often did when tragedy wanted to overtake him. He didn’t move. He barely breathed as he looked on the limp near lifeless form of his sole surviving cousin. He felt responsible, like he always did for Darth Caedus’ victims, who tended to be the women he loved.
But Jag never saw any of this. All Jag saw was blind hatred and rage.
Finally he heard himself saying, “I will kill him for this, Leia. I will kill him for this. I’m going to rip out his guts with my bare hands and crush his very existence into the ground until his pain matches my own. I will torture his every fiber into complete death. And he will feel that pain. I swear it…I swear it.”
Leia who by that time had recovered enough of her legendary strength to act and think to save Jaina’s life calmly replied, “Jag, that won’t help her now, and that’s what we need to do.”
Leia slowly picked herself up and turned to her nephew, “Ben, get all of the Baca patches, water, an oxygen mask, disinfectant, and a blanket. We have to get the blood off of the wounds before infection starts to set in. Hurry, it won’t pay for Han to see her like this.”
Ben nodded slowly and in a perfect rendition of Luke Skywalker turned to leave.
Leia bent over Jag and Jaina and slowly began to remove what was left of her daughters clothing to get a better look at the damage. She pondered that Jaina’s nakedness wasn’t anything Jag hadn’t seen before, and she wasn’t sure how much he was registering to begin with.
Ben returned to where they were, and was making sure to look at the floor and away from his naked cousin. He handed his Aunt the items she had requested. He then turned the complete opposite direction from Jaina continuing all the while to look at the floor.
Leia turned her daughters face towards her own. The tears ran uncontrolled down her face.
“She was unconscious when I retrieved her”, Jag said numbly.
“I know,” Leia replied as she continued her assessment. “She has a moderate to severe head injury and both legs are broken. As is her clavicle.” Leia then ran her hands over Jaina’s torso, “at least three broken ribs and multiple skin lacerations”.
Jag nodded, that had been his assessment as well.
“Han!” Leia commanded over the comm. link, “first system with full Baca facilities, now!”
It was a few agonizing moments before Han responded, “How bad is it Leia?” When Leia didn’t answer he added, “I’m on my way back-“
“No”, was his wife’s firm reply, “We need you to get us out of here.”
Han retorted, “Waroo can handle that for a minute, I'm going to see my--"
Leia snapped, the tragedy of the moment taking a toll on her, “I said no, Han! Waroo, you’re to keep him in that cockpit. Period. You are free to use whatever means necessary short of unconsciousness or death. Do you understand me?”
The last thing she needed to deal with was the fit of rage Jaina’s condition would throw her husband into. Jag was bad enough.
The Wookiee roared affirmation of Leia’s order and cut the intercomm.
The Falcon shook, no doubt Galactic Alliance or their Imperial allies shooting at them. Unfortunately they were starting to take a toll on the rear shields.
Leia quickly buckled herself, Jag and Jaina into the portable crash webbing and attached it to the walls.
Before she could motion to Ben to sit by her so she could secure him as well, he spoke, “Uhh, Aunt Leia I’m going to set up in the bottom quad. Jag’s really messed up right now and I’m sure Zekk could use the-“
“No,” Leia said. “Ben, I’m going to have to put Jaina in a healing trance if she’s going to live and I’ll need your help with the healing process.”
Bens face went pale, “Aunt Leia, Zekk would definitely be better at that.”
“There is no time Ben, now!”
By this time Leia had cleaned Jaina’s wounds as best she could, applied the Baca strips and draped the clean blanket over her daughter.
She was still kneeling in front of Jag and her daughter as Ben kneeled to join her and awaited his instructions.
Leia fastened him into the crash webbing and informed Han that they were secured. Now it would get really dirty. The full effect of a space battle unfolding around her as she desperately tried to save the life of her sole remaining child. Han sent the Falcon into a near death spiral that made even her stomach flip flop. The laser fire and screeching hitting the Falcon's hull relentlessly.
Leia spoke gently to her twin’s only child, “Ben, once I have her completely under I want you to concentrate on the concussion. The best I can tell she doesn’t have any brain damage. We just need to make sure that no swelling sets in. Understood?”
Ben nodded hesitantly, placed his hands on either side of Jaina’s face, closed his eyes and sank into a deep meditation. This was probably a stretch of his under developed healing capabilities, but he’d get through it, he always did.
Jag still held Jaina tight in his lap but had relaxed enough to allow the Jedi to work. Leia began to run her hands down Jaina’s torso helping the bacta heal every tear and internal injury that she could, trying to sustain her daughter’s life until they could reach proper medical care.
Suddenly Leia’s eyes fluttered open. She was astounded with surprise and joy. Her gaze turned to Jag who once again had buried his face into Jaina’s hair and was whispering something to her.
Leia could feel him. The small bright spot in the Force struggling for life after the beating his mother had just taken.
Leia felt her grandson. Her second grandchild: a boy. The moment overtook her and she began to weep.
She knew that if Jaina’s condition didn’t improve rapidly a miscarriage was immanent.
Her famous brown eyes closed in the emotion of the moment as she buried her head next to Jag’s on Jaina’s chest, being careful not to disturb Ben.
The Falcon shook again. Leia opened the commlink and yelled, “Han, why aren’t we in hyperspace? Can’t you shake these guys?”
“I’m working on it, Sweetie, but you know how much I love hanging around and getting shot at. It’s one of the things I do best, right Princess?”
“Hurry up!” She shot back in a tone that would not be argued with.
She looked at Jag, unsure if she should tell him of the child right now or not. That should be Jaina’s place. But considering the remarkable circumstances of the moment she decided he had a right to know now.
She spoke softly this time, “Sweetheart, you’re going to have to let me next to you so I can help her.” Leia put her hands on either side of Jag’s face forcing his incoherent gaze to lock with hers and continued, “So I can help both of them.”
She repeated with Force emphasis, “Both of them.”
In his current mental state it took a moment for the impact of what Leia had said to hit Jag. But then understanding dawned on his face and Leia saw his every emotion as if he had spoken them. He screamed with joy and rage, throwing his head back hitting the wall behind him soundly and wailed, “Why Jaina, why? Why did you do this?”
Leia quickly took advantage of his distraction and scooted on the bunk next to him. She landed Jaina in a complete healing trance and placed her hands directly over the child and the hemoraging that was threatening to overtake him. She continued like this for several minutes undistracted and undisturbed by the violence that surrounded her.
She was tough.
Hard as armor, always had been always would be.
Jag, whose gray flight suit was soaked through with the blood of the mother of his child, was slowly becoming himself again. His family’s survival depended on it. His incredible mental strength and discipline were kicking back in, fueled by very basic and primitive instincts. He had to protect Jaina. He had to protect the baby that they had made under the stars. He was about to gently extract himself from around Jaina and join Zekk on the quads when the voice of a young woman came over the intercom of the Millennium Falcon.
“Millennium Falcon, this is Slave I. We have Grand Master Skywalker and the astromech on board. He is in med bay.”
Through the Force relief washed over Ben Skywalker with those words. He knew his father was still alive but the confirmation brought him comfort. However, he continued his trance and healing upon his cousin without missing a beat.
The young woman’s voice continued, “Darth Caedus is dead, Grand Master Skywalker eliminated him.”
Leia continued to sit motionless her healing powers still flowing into her daughter. To the naked eye of the untrained observer she had been completely unaffected by those words, if she had heard them at all.
Jag knew better.
She began to shake.
She rested her head on his shoulder and he gently kissed her forehead. She was his family now, he would treat her as he would his own mother.
Her twin had saved her daughter.
Her twin had killed her son.
After giving them a moment to digest the news, the young woman once again began to speak, “We’ve eliminated most of the fighters off of your tail. Your path to light speed is cleared. Follow us to the first jump point and we’ll transfer Jaina on board. Our med center is considerably more advanced than yours.”
Jag looked down on Jaina and smiled. He then gently kissed her cheek, “You’ve certainly made some interesting friends, baby.” He then looked up at the roof of the Milleniumm Falcon and exhaled. Everything was going to be alright. He knew it.
Han Solo’s voice answered back over the intercom, apparently unaffected over the news of Darth Caedus’ death, “Clear Slave I, take the lead to light speed.
Punch it, Waroo.”

The accomodatons were perfect, as always Queen Mother Tenel Ka had been the friend to the Jedi and an ally when they were in need.
Luke felt the storm cloud that was his niece approaching his door. Her turmoil reminded him so much of Mara that sometimes - if only for an instant- he thought it was his wife's prescense. Loved this!
You know, Jacen was an adult. I think it was the things that he went through that made him bad. You can have the most perfect parents in the world and they can have satan as their child and it's no ones fault.
Amen sister!
Jaina smiled at her uncle and gently kissed his forehead, "Don't worry Uncle Luke, Sith Lords are my specialty." She leaned over then and put her head on his shoulder, "And I want you to know that you did not fail. Everyone just loves to be critical of you, but not one of them could have done it better, and not one of them had the burdens and expectations put on their shoulders that you had put on yours." bout time someone said that to him!
He grinned at her, "I'm not perfect Jaina."
"Says who? I'll whip them too. I'm just in that kind of mood." Damn right!
He actually laughed then, "All right my little Mara, as you wish." He hugged he close. "You always were more our daughter than our niece." Awww. That was so sweet.
Everyone knows it, maybe you should accept it." Hallelujah! Hallelujah!
"I don't want to hurt him again." She said quietly. "It seems that it's all I've ever done."
Luke was thoughtful, "But thats part of life Jaina, you grow through your experiences. Mara tried to kill me at one time as well, so you and Jag aren't all that different. We're complicated people who live complicate lives, you must allow for that."
Jaina snorted, "I'm not worried." Hell no. She's kill him.
The Jedi Grand Master stood and pulled his niece to her feet, "Let's go."
Love this scene between the two of them. It's just beautiful....now to the hard part.
They had tried to reach her to no avail, and now it was the consequences of that failure that he would soon hold in his arms.
Gently but firmly, he pulled her through the levels of port holes in the roof of the Millennium Falcon. He held her close as the doors closed airtight after them.
Reminds me of Lando getting Luke.
Her father’s calm, seasoned, but anxious voice came over the comlink, “You got her, Jag?”
“Yes, we’re secured, go,” came the young man's impatient voice. That was uncommon for him. He was usually the model of complete control.
Gently and confidently, like a mythological hero of the past, Hell yeah! I'd pay to see Jag in a loincloth! Jag carried Jaina in his arms and sat down on the med bunk with her. It was the same table that Luke Skywalker had laid on nearly four decades earlier after his battle with a Sith Lord.
It ran everywhere, it ran through her hair and on to the floor, it ran on the walls of the famous battered old freighter where she had spent so much of her life, it ran over Jag as if he was injured.
He just sat and held her. Her mother would be there soon and she would know what to do. That's cause mommy's rock!
That's when I started crying.
Jagged Fel was raw.
Jagged Fel was being reborn. Anger is of the dark side love. Even if you're not a jedi!
That would be freaking scary, cause he could do it. And people would follow him.
Not again. Beautiful!
Poor Ben.
But Jag never saw any of this. All Jag saw was blind hatred and rage. Yeah, he's a little focused right now.
Leia who by that time had recovered enough of her legendary strength to act and think to save Jaina’s life calmly replied, “Jag, that won’t help her now, and that’s what we need to do.” Ah. The voice of reason. Even though she probably wants to feel the same way.
LMAO!
That's cause he's freaking good!
“Han!” Leia commanded over the comm. link, “first system with full Baca facilities, now!”
It was a few agonizing moments before Han responded, “How bad is it Leia?” When Leia didn’t answer he added, “I’m on my back back-“ The hell you are!
“No”, was his wife’s firm reply, “We need you to get us out of here.”
Han retorted, “Waroo can handle that for a minute, I going to see my--"
Leia snapped, the tragedy of the moment taking a toll on her, “I said no, Han! Waroo, you’re to keep him in that cockpit. Period. You are free to use whatever means necessary short of unconsciousness or death. Do you understand me?”
The last thing she needed to deal with was the fit of rage Jaina’s condition would throw her husband into. Jag was bad enough. She already has one man almost losing it. Don't need another one.
The Wookiee roared affirmation of Leia’s order and cut the intercomm.
The Falcon shook, no doubt Galactic Alliance or their Imperial allies shooting at them. Unfortunately they were starting to take a toll on the rear shields.
Leia quickly changed that as she buckled herself, Jag and Jaina into the portable crash webbing and attached it to the walls.
“There is no time Ben, now!” I love Leia!
Jag still held Jaina tight in his lap but had relaxed enough to allow the Jedi to work. Leia began to run her hands down Jaina’s torso helping the bacta heal every tear and internal injury that she could, trying to sustain her daughter’s life until they could reach proper medical care. He isn't letting her go anytime soon. I have a feeling you're going to have to pry her away from him.
Woot!
She knew that if Jaina’s condition didn’t improve rapidly a miscarriage was immanent.
This is my favorite part!!!!!
Awww. I started bawling here!
This was so sweet. I can see him doing this.

OMG! I'm still shaking from that! FREAKING AWESOME!!!!! you go with your bad self Piper!

I don't know quite what to say
...
I guess I'll just start at the beginning: Astounding post! I adored the L/J moment. They have so much in common, with all the burdens they must carry. I loved how you compared Jaina to Mara. Its a very precise comparison, and I think it is even good for Luke. I wish he wouldn't take so much blame on himself. No one can be ultimately responsible for that magnitude of decisions but the decision-maker himself.
THE_PIED_PIPER posted: "Says who? I'll whip them too. I'm just in that kind of mood."
I loved this line! Perfect Jaina, and a bit of needed comic relief. Though it was a bit premature, I'd say.
THE_PIED_PIPER posted: He actually laughed then, "All right my little Mara, as you wish." He hugged he close. "You always were more our daughter than our niece."
Perfect line. I love this view of their relationship. It is as it should be. The comparison between L/M and J/J was a nice touch. Hope Jaina listens to that bit of wisdom(though this remark is directed more to cannon than this fic...she already seems to be in her right mind here )
THE_PIED_PIPER posted: Jaina snorted, "I'm not worried."
Haha, she has no need to be. Like Jag would actually let someone else take Jaina's seat...like someone would be stupid enough to risk Jaina's wrath... I could just see a fight breaking out in the middle of the planning session because someone stole her seat.
As for the second part....
That was heart-wrenching. Very well written, but man! Wow! Jag reaction was..well...scary. I definitely wouldn't want to get on his bad side. The whole thing was well done, Leia's reaction, her take-charge pragmatism and determinism to save her only remaining child, Ben's discomfort, Han's ...Han-ness.
THE_PIED_PIPER posted: She rested her head on his shoulder and he gently kissed her forehead. She was his family now, he would treat her as he would his own mother.
Adorable. Classic Jag, so sweet...
THE_PIED_PIPER posted: Her twin had saved her daughter.
Her twin had killed her son.
Ouch! Heart-breaking...bittersweet...beautiful/tragic....the whole circle of life thing, but oh so dreadful!
I don't think there's much more I can say here: It was amazing!
On a side note: I just went through and read all those wookiepedia pages you gave me...so now I have a vague idea of where all the Fel Empire stories are coming from...and an intense desire to read those comics Like I don't have enough to do... Thanks a lot.
Dana
PS - glad you like my sig..feel free to repeat it as many times as you need to

Here at last. Sorry - RL had me captive.
Thanks so much for the dedication. No need to thank me - as Gwyneth Paltrow said the other day: we women are all in it together. That's what it's all about.
Ring of Fire! Oh, Kick - what an excellent choice of song to go with your story. And did you know it's one of my favourite songs? I'm not a big country fan generally, but I love Johnny Cash - he's one of a kind. And that song is just a classic.
but maybe there would be hope for his grand daughter Mirta, whom she had grown close to while in training
Glad you mentioned that actually. I rather enjoyed the Jaina-Mirta scenes in Revelation.
Loved the image of the Falcon descending, and the associated memories for Jaina. Laughed at Jaina trying to restrain herself and failing miserably. LOL
Beautiful reunion with Jag. Such passion and need.
Goddess, but promise me that you'll accept help where your brother is concerned. It may be your destiny Jaina, but that doesn't mean that it's a destiny that must be met alone."
What a guy - and he's right. I hope she takes the offer.
Chapter Two
Jaina believed that was the most difficult burden for her uncle to bear, the burden of knowing that he had failed Jacen in some way and that failure had resulted in the tragedy that had become Jacen's life. He was all too aware of the consequences that his failure had and would continue to have on the galaxy for generations. Luke Skywalker had suffered the ultimate price for whatever way he had failed his nephew, no one would suffer more.
It's so true that Luke feels that burden. But Jacen made his own choice, and a lot of that was based on things that Luke had no control over.
And Jaina's right in that many things happen for a reason even if that reason is not always clear.
I'm glad Jaina told Luke he didn't fail.
That was powerful.
Beautiful but heartrending scene with Leia healing Jaina and discovering the little one.
“Darth Caedus is dead, Grand Master Skywalker eliminated him.”
Yeeha! [mad celebrations]
Her twin had saved her daughter.
Her twin had killed her son.
Great piece of parallelism. I guess the question for Leia is - was Caedus truly her son?
Interesting and a maybe a little ominous that Han seems unaffected by the news of Caedus's death. Has he managed to make the differentiation between his son and Caedus - or is he in denial? Could be good, could be bad.
Very dramatic post, Kick - wonderful job.

Wow! That was intense.
Jag's rant on how they would wish for Vader was good, can't blame I would probably react the same.
I can't wait to see the next part of this.

Good Day Everyone. I hope everyone had or is having a great morning.
IrishKatarn had a minor emergency at work and I'm on my way to the hospital. He's okay..we're okay..everything is fine here, but he was injured so I have to go kiss him and make it better. I'll probably be tied up with that most of the day. However, replies to your fantastic replies coming up as soon as I get my husband home, tuck him in and make sure he's okay.
