That chapter may be one of the most intense scenes I've ever read.

It's amazing that the baby survived, but it must have been the will of the Force.

IrishKatarn had a minor emergency at work and I'm on my way to the hospital. He's okay..we're okay..everything is fine here, but he was injured so I have to go kiss him and make it better. wow. First let me say that I don't cry easily..but, I was sobbing when Luke called Jaina his
"little Mara". Then how could have had stood a chance with JAG crying?! 
You did a such a nice job with getting Luke and Jaina's characters dead on. Them sharing feelings about
missing Mara - more sobbing here!! - I just cannot go there...perfect! Not too sappy - perfect Luke and Jaina.
I loved Leia getting into the med bay and taking charge. She got Ben past his embarassment and put him to work -
his mom would have been proud. Thank goodness she told Han to stay in the cockpit and fly...he was where he needed
to be, flying with Leia giving orders. I was relieved when she told Jag about the baby YAY!! Now they just have to
save them both. I shouted a big ol' YES!! when Slave I commed...how cool is it when Han and Fett are tossed together
on the same side? They are a powerful force...with a little f.
Jag is such a hero. He cried, then worked through all this emotions, held his love, found out he is going to be a dad,
comforted Leia, then headed into the turrets to shoot the bad guys. This guy rocks.
Can't wait for the next installment.

Hello Everyone,
IrishKatarn says thank you for all of the warm wishes, and I gave him your kiss Sab. He's resting right behind me. I've met some truely incredible people here at theforce.net And, no, ccp...there will be no bell. 
Thank you Jag4Me, he'll mend, however, the situation turned out to be pretty serious. I told him he couldn't die on me because we have to be married six months before I can get his pension.  It's been a hell of a day at sea, and I'm pretty tired, so I'm going to crash. 
Replies in the morning, I'm sure I'll need the mental break.

Wow, awesome story. I have not read any of the Legacy novels. I gave up reading the novels when NJO was half way through. It was just too long of a series to keep me interested. Anyway, this story has really tempted me to pick up on this series of books! Great job!

Jaina Solo had become a living breathing weapon; perfected; perfectly balanced for the task at hand. She was lethal. She was a sword.
Sounds very much so … just like Luke had told her
Sword of the Jedi
She looked around, constantly keeping tabs on everyone and everything, her freshly honed and mastered Jedi senses missing nothing in the minds of the people around her.

Then she achieved something Jacen never did officially
"Yes, at pad thirty-four in the black," she said. It was so good to hear his voice, the sound of it brought her comfort, which very few things could do anymore.

It was the sight of the Millennium Falcon on final descent; as always, the old ship in all her glory descended like a god out of the heavens until she finally came to a perfect landing on the pad. She actually smiled, her father himself could not have managed a better landing than that. If she were to be honest with herself everything about the young pilot made her smile, when he didn't irritate her by breaking through the countless walls she had built around her heart in the last fifteen years.
Well, some are able to do just that
She had left him there in the Endorian woods to wake-up alone, after they had spent the night together for the first time in years. She probably could have handled that better, she thought. If a man walked out on her like that, she'd have killed him. Luckily, for both of their sakes, he had always done things alot differently than she had.
Haha .. ironic …
When she didn't approach him, he stopped half way down the ramp; obviously not wanting to push the issue with her. Through the years he had learned not to do that - the hard way. Since their reunion of working together on the Alema Rar strike team several months back, he had given her the space she needed and allowed her to come to him. She continued to stare at him, calculations running through her mind - slowly she closed her eyes; she would play this cool, she would play this calm, she would not let-on how much she had missed him...how much she had thought of him...she would...before she knew it, she was running towards him and his arms were open.

"Alright, Fel, you can fix me dinner on my ship," she said, and much to his pleasant surprise she snaked her arm in his and entwined their fingers together.
The next thing Jaina knew, she heard the crash of crockery; dishes that had been on the table breaking as they hit the floor. In one instant Jag had stood holding her in one arm and had cleared the table with the other. He practically tossed her down on the table top and fastened his mouth on her neck. Jaina's thought to herself was that this was going to be a very pleasant after course indeed.
She whispered, "At last."
they are going all hot [face_drool]
"Can I just ask you to trust me Jaina, please? Dealing with your brother and his madness is eveyones first priority right now."

He read her thoughts, "Don't blame yourself Jaina. You were his sister not his Master, the failure is mine. In addition, Jacen has ultimately made his own choices. I loved all three of you so much. I lost Anakin and Jacen, I can't loose you."
I could be mean and say … no I say it not
Jaina smiled at her uncle and gently kissed his forehead, "Don't worry Uncle Luke, Sith Lords are my specialty."
How would she know such thing? Did she ever face one? .. besides Kyp .. though he is just a former fallen Jedi
Except you count Exar Kun’s creatures she was fighting off 
Gently and confidently, like a mythological hero of the past, Jag carried Jaina in his arms and sat down on the med bunk with her. It was the same table that Luke Skywalker had laid on nearly four decades earlier after his battle with a Sith Lord.
But all of these injuries were not what worried him the most. What worried him most was the blood oozing out of her mouth. That meant internal injuries: bad ones. The blood from her mouth was joined by blood from the facial lacerations, it was executing a mass exodus from her tiny body: leaving her to die.
If she died here he would die too, he knew it to be true. He would become a walking dead man for the rest of his life just like her grandfather had been. Force power or no, people would fear him like that.

Suddenly Leia’s eyes fluttered open. She was astounded with surprise and joy. Her gaze turned to Jag who once again had buried his face into Jaina’s hair and was whispering something to her.
She knows
She spoke softly this time, “Sweetheart, you’re going to have to let me next to you so I can help her.” Leia put her hands on either side of Jag’s face forcing his incoherent gaze to lock with hers and continued, “So I can help both of them.”
She repeated with Force emphasis, “Both of them.”
That must come like a shock to him
He would never ever have let her go if he would have known!!
Jag looked down on Jaina and smiled. He then gently kissed her cheek, “You’ve certainly made some interesting friends, baby.” He then looked up at the roof of the Milleniumm Falcon and exhaled. Everything was going to be alright. He knew it.
She did indeed

Luke Skywalker stood looking out the window in his private quarters, gazing at the Hapan scenery that surrounded the Jedi base. The beauty and peace of the Jedi retreat was a direct counterpoint to the dark and ugly disquiet that was plaguing his soul.
Whatever peace he had had in his turbulant life had died with his precious Mara. The accomodatons were perfect, as always Queen Mother Tenel Ka had been the friend to the Jedi and an ally when they were in need.
Luke felt the storm cloud that was his niece approaching his door. Her turmoil reminded him so much of Mara that sometimes - if only for an instant- he thought it was his wife's prescense. Loved this!

In his current mental state it took a moment for the impact of what Leia had said to hit Jag. But then understanding dawned on his face and Leia saw his every emotion as if he had spoken them. He screamed with joy and rage, throwing his head back hitting the wall behind him soundly and wailed, “Why Jaina, why? Why did you do this?”
Awww. I started bawling here!
It's a sad situation, every tragedy that Darth Caedus has forced on the people who once loved him. His sister has paid a very heavy price here.

I guess I'll just start at the beginning: Astounding post! I adored the L/J moment. They have so much in common, with all the burdens they must carry. I loved how you compared Jaina to Mara. Its a very precise comparison, and I think it is even good for Luke. I wish he wouldn't take so much blame on himself. No one can be ultimately responsible for that magnitude of decisions but the decision-maker himself.
I'm with you 1000% on this. No one is responsible for Jacen's actions...but Jacen. Some like to sit and blame Luke just like some liked to sit and blame Obi, and yes there may have been things both Masters could have done differently. However, I don't think that it would have changed things in the end.

Fel is not a man to be triffled with, that much I know. When YodaKenobi did the beta on that part his reaction to Jag was the same. Ultimately, I think Fel will be fine, but yes, something in him changed in that moment.

Awe, I know, I hate it when RL keeps up captive from what we really want to do. The Legacy comics are absolutely awesome and have taken Star Wars by storm. IMHO they are the greatest thing out of the EU since The Thrawn Trilogy, and I wouldn't say that lightly. If you have questions about them let me know.

Interesting and a maybe a little ominous that Han seems unaffected by the news of Caedus's death. Has he managed to make the differentiation between his son and Caedus - or is he in denial? Could be good, could be bad.
To be honest Master, at this point I don't think Han Solo knows what to feel anymore. More on that next post.

wow that was super intense. I'm still in shock! lol this was amazing display of writing skills and story line. Loved it!
but but but, you killed Caedus?? which means Jacen's dead too of course.....*sigh* oh well he did hurt Jaina pretty bad so I guess...he just maybe kind of deserved it.
