Sacrifice, page 107 Then something vanished from the Force. Ben – It was like a shape flashing past her peripheral vision, and a familiar background noise stopping abruptly, leaving a dead, soundless ringing in the ears. Ben’s gone – Ben had disappeared from the Force. Mara’s hand was on the controls to jump to hyperspace and head back to Coruscant at top speed when the sense of her son flooded back as if the sound had been turned on again. Inferno, page 231-232 They caught Luke dead in the stern, chewing through the damaged armor in a flaming eyeblink. The Force boiled with anguish, and then Jaina was flying through a fireball that had once been a starfighter. … Luke Skywalker was dead. And Jaina had shot him down. Inferno, page 235 Leia shook her head. “I felt this surprise, then … this anguish. And Luke was just gone.” Invincible, page 209 Jaina made no attempt to hide her presence in the Force, since the whole idea was to let Caedus sense them returning to Uroro Station. And it would have been pointless anyway, since Zekk hadn’t been taught the technique yet. Invincible, page 220 … and she found herself more or less in one piece. Actually, it was less, because Zekk wasn’t there anymore. Jaina couldn’t feel him in the Force – couldn’t even find the combat-meld. She hadn’t felt him die, hadn’t experienced a sudden shock of fear and pain, could not even remember a wistful pang of regret or farewell. He was just… gone.
Darth_Lex posted:One of the great mysteries at the end of Invincible is what happened to Zekk. Is he dead? Injured? Captured? The book leaves us guessing…

Darth_Lex posted:“Get dressed,” said a new voice from the open doorway. “Yes, we know.” Jaina spun to see her uncle standing astride the portal. She glowered. “Don’t tell me you’re here to try to talk me out of this, too.” “I’m afraid so,” Luke said. “Good luck with that,” Leia muttered, and headed for the door. Han gave Jaina a meek, apologetic smile, then followed his wife out into the corridor. In the silence, Jaina glared at Luke. “Uh,” Jag said, shifting toward the door, “I should probably go prepare the ship. Or something.” “Actually,” Luke said, “you’re going to want to stay for this.”
Darth_Lex posted:“Hi, Jaina,” his flickering blue form said. “If you’re watching this, that means you’re still alive. And that makes me very happy. The reason you’re watching this is, I’m still alive, too.”
Darth_Lex posted:“I’ve gone undercover, Jaina. New look, new identity.” He chuckled. “I’ll even cut my hair.”
Darth_Lex posted:She grinned. “Because Zekk’s just a friend. You’re going to be my husband.”

Darth_Lex posted: “See?” Jaina looked to the two men standing near the door. “Tell her I’m right.” Jag just held up his hands defensively. Her father said, “No way. I know better than to get in the middle of an argument between two Jedi Knights.” LMAO! Of course they're not going to say anything. They're not dumb. Jaina spun to see her uncle standing astride the portal. He of all people should know how a Solo is. Of course, this is Luke Skywalker we're talking about. Jaina took it, gazing down at it. “I take it I’m supposed to watch this.” “No,” Luke said, “it’s just a distraction while I mindrub you.” Touche Master Skywalker. Brilliant! She reached up a hand and wiped the wetness from her eyes. When she lowered it, Jag took hold of it in both of his. “And when I do come back,” Zekk said, eyes narrowing, “you’d better be married to Jag.” He waited just a moment. “Yes, you heard that right. Marry him, Jaina. Hell, if this operation takes as long as I think it might, you’d better have some little Fels running around by the time I show up, too.” He smiled. “Be with him, Jaina. Love him. Let him love you.” I loved this part. It was something they both needed to hear. Zekk’s face grew intensely serious. “Luke told me he’d play this for you both, so I expect you’re listening too, Jag. Take good care of her, buddy. But that should be easy. I know how much you love her.” For just a moment, Zekk smiled wistfully. “Maybe there were times I tried to fool myself otherwise, but deep down I always knew the truth of her heart. It was only ever you, Jag.” He paused. “So take care of her, and love her, and don’t ever break her heart.” Then he smirked. “Because if you do, I’ll come back, and I’ll hunt you down, and – well, let’s just say I fight a lot better than Alema Rar.” That whole paragraph was a gimmie. LOL Finally she leaned away and sat up again. She wiped her eyes on her sleeve. Then she looked up at Jag. “I don’t care how important the mission is,” she said, drilling her eyes into his, “don’t you ever – ever – pull some crazy stunt like that on me.” Oh boy. I saw that coming. Jag’s mouth curled, and he raised a brow. “But I thought you just forgave Zekk?” “That’s different.” “Why?” She grinned. “Because Zekk’s just a friend. You’re going to be my husband.” Oh really? you're finally going to do something you're told?
