	A particular passage in Invincible caught TKL’s attention, though. Perhaps it was a subtle hint from the evil author, Denning? The idea led me to go back to some of the other LOTF books and compare several other scenes. The more I read, the more I liked TKL’s devious theory about what Denning was suggesting. Yeah but he didn't take the bait in the SW.com thread and just fess up to it “I don’t want to hear it,” Jaina shot back. “I have a lot of healing left to do. I know that. But it’s not like I’m running off to fight a Sith Lord again. I’m just going for a little ride in a starship.” With Jag Mom's not worried about the flying... She frowned, but obeyed. Bracing with her hands, she hopped up and sat on the edge of the bed, her legs dangling down toward the floor. I liked this touch. It makes her still look a bit fragile. “No,” Zekk said. He had anticipated her, of course. “I’m not going to tell you what it is. Luke won’t either. You can only know that I’m alive and well, and undercover. By the time you see this, no one will know how to contact me. Not even your uncle.” Zekk took a long breath. “But I will always know how to contact you. And someday, when this mission is over, I will. We’ll see each other again, Jaina. I promise.” Ah yes, the plot bunnies. But don't tell anyone what else this storyline has in its design! It may be our next story - The Courtship of Zekk Zekk gazed out of the hologram intensely. “Don’t screw it up this time.” That's what bffs are for “So take care of her, and love her, and don’t ever break her heart.” Drat I cry every time at that “Indeed.” Jag chuckled, taking her hand as they walked slowly toward the door. “That could set a bad precedent.” “You’re right. Let’s go for a fly.” Perfect ending I'm glad you wrote this. It's so tragic that Zekk's friendship with Jaina is one of many sacrifices that are made to defeat Caedus. What a tragedy her life has become and in the end all Zekk wants is her happiness. 	Thanks Lex you know this whole scenerio has been bugging me. It does seem that Luke likes these dramatic exits to go a snoopin' . I could see Zekk volunteering for this if approached because three is a crowd and it would be a way to give Jag and Jaina the space they need to cement thier relationship. Zekk knows when to bow out gracefully. But I cant help but wonder what is the mission? Given the overall tone of this scene, I couldn’t do much with it, though, so the small little touches had to suffice. The much more elaborate development in Wingman is really where Jaina needs to go emotionally. It may be our next story - The Courtship of Zekk Now that’s an idea!
