	ALPHA BLACK PROLOGUE Ever since the death of Darth Sidious at the Battle of Endor, the Jedi Order has begun to rebuild itself. Under the leadership of Luke Skywalker, the Jedi have slowly regained the power and prestige that was lost at the end of the Clone Wars. The New Jedi Order has become very powerful, and has learned to use the Force in ways that the Jedi of the Old Republic would have considered as dangerous and arrogant. Their power has grown immense, and they taken up their position as the protectors of the Galaxy. The Jedi have served the Galactic Alliance since it’s inception, and they played a crucial role in defeating the Yuuzhan Vong, and in restoring peace to the Galaxy. Once the war ended, the Jedi devoted themselves to keeping the peace in the Galactic Alliance, and were very successful, for five long years. However, recently the Killik Crisis shattered that fragile peace, and the Galaxy nearly fell into eternal war. During this conflict, the interests of the Jedi clashed with those of the Galactic Alliance, and it was made clear to the Alliance that the Jedi did not serve them exclusively, but had a greater calling to protect the Galaxy at large. This revelation caused many Alliance officials to reconsider the role of the Jedi Order in the government. During the Swarm War, the Galactic Alliance realized that, if the Jedi ever turned against them, they would be quite powerless to stop them. The realization that the Jedi Order did not answer to the Galactic Alliance, and that they could no longer be held accountable for their actions, fostered great concern and fear in the Galactic Alliance leadership. Now that the Jedi have withdrawn from the GA Advisory Council, Chief of State Cal Omas has decided that the Jedi have become a potential danger to safety of the Galaxy. 	CORUSCANT, TWO MONTHS AFTER THE BATTLE OF TENUPE The Chief of State of the Galactic Alliance sat behind his desk, and looked at the irate woman sitting across from him. He was growing tired of her tirade, and was secretly quite happy that she would soon cease to be a nuisance. Belindi Kalenda, Director of Galactic Alliance Intelligence, was angry, no to say that would be an understatement of immense magnitude. Belindi Kalenda was furious, and she was taking it out on the Chief of State’s eardrums. “Chief Omas, I cannot tolerate this, it is unacceptable to me. I will not be pushed around by a black-ops intelligence unit.” Cal Omas frowned at her, “Really Director Kalenda, I don’t see what the problem is.” Kalenda growled, “The problem is, that this secret intelligence unit is a complete mystery to me. I have no idea what there are doing; they have not given me a single byte of information on their purpose, or even their existence.” Omas looked annoyed, and spoke in an irritated tone “Again, Director Kalenda, I don’t see the problem here.” Kalenda looked even more infuriated “As the Director of Alliance Intelligence, I am supposed to be privy to and have authorization over all aspects of Intelligence, including any and all secret projects!” she all but shrieked. “This secret organization does not answer to me, they have been appropriating assets, commandeering agents, and accumulating large amounts of resources, all of which have vanished.” Omas’s irritation grew; he was not going to tolerate this incessant protesting any longer. “Director Kalenda, this special organization answers to me directly, as they are engaged in top-secret and classified activities.” Kalenda opened her mouth to speak, but Omas cut her off, “Top-secret to the point where any leak of knowledge will result in the individual’s immediate sanction, and that includes you, Director.” Kalenda looked stupefied, and a hint of fear was present in her eyes, she recognized a threat when she heard one. She nodded her head briskly and said, “Of course, Chief Omas, I understand. 	Once Kalenda was gone, Omas stabbed a button on his desk, which sealed the doors to his office. He then got up, and touched a switch that was concealed in a sculpture of neuranium. A portion of wall slid aside silently, revealing a darkened passageway, which Omas quickly entered, the door repocketing itself behind him. The Chief of State made his way down a long, narrow hallway, and stopped on a seemingly innocuous section of floor. Modulating his voice to a low frequency, Omas hissed “Voxyn”, and, with a hiss of it’s own, the section of floor began to descend, carrying the Chief of State far below. The hidden lift plummeted for over a kilometre, and finally came to a stop, in a lavishly adorned office, larger than the one Omas had vacated minutes earlier. Stepping off the lift plate, Omas stepping behind the desk and settled into the chair. Several minutes later, the doors of the office slid open, and a tall, frail-looking man stepped through them. Similar to the meeting that had taken place in Omas’s official office, this man was Belindi Kalenda’s predecessor. “Welcome to Alpha Black, Chief Omas” said Dif Scaur, the confidence in his voice cause Omas to smile. “Thank you, Director Scaur, it is a pleasure to be here. 	That Jedi could be perceived as a threat by the goverment is an interesting view. And not even far fetched. I wonder if the Jedi have spies lurking about? Do they know about this secret group?
