Awwww Wilson is so cool!

I responded where I deemed it to be appropriate and my master seemed to appreciate this.

laugh I love how he is so objective about everything, but you can still tell he has a personality.

And he is such a mother hen too! Definitely a keeper.

Keep up the great work!

When he spoke he seemed enthusiastic. Whether this had anything to do with the alcohol in his blood or the intimate moment he shared with Flight Officer Kaiban, I do not know.

Gotta love the lack of understanding mechanical objects have when it comes to biological responses. happy

10 Galactic Standard Days after last memory wipe

Diagnostics Check:

Systems running at 99.8% efficiency

Days until mandatory service:

58 Galactic Standard Days

Log entry:

There were no activities planned for my master today, so he was in no need of my assistance. He remained in his darkened quarters for 4 standard hours longer today than the previous days. This might be due to yesterday's alcohol consumption.

I used my master's off-duty time to do some investigating as to why most of the base personnel seems to distrust him. First I checked the local database for any misdemeanors that might be logged in it. I discovered no such entries. However I did come across some information on my occupation before my last memory wipe. It held little of true interest, only that I have served in my current capacity as pilot assistant before and that I've received many upgrades, both hardware and software, since my first activation.

Then I had communications with some of my fellow droids around Folor Base. I met with 4 astromech droids of various models but none of them had any useful information to offer me. I also spoke to other droids of various types and classes, but none of them were able to answer my questions. It was only after I came across a TC-series protocol droid that I discovered some interesting things. He explained to me that most humanoids generally distrust and even fear the unknown, and since my master is a member of a rather obscure species (I was told only approximately 1 in every 103 billion sentients in the known galaxy is Shi'ido.), most personnel felt an irrational fear whenever they came in contact with him. It appears to be some sort of primeval thing. Also, he explained to me how Shi'ido are seen by many species and cultures around the galaxy as dangerous, due to (as I had already deduced) their ability to change their appearance and even allegedly cloud the minds of other sentients. Yet, the TC-series protocol droid assured me that there were really no rational reasons to distrust my master.

I must admit that this felt like a slight relief, despite the fact that I had yet to discover anything that could give me reasons to distrust him.

After this I retired to my master's quarters. My master was not there and did not return until 2303 Galactic Standard Time. This time he was not intoxicated, but despite this he seemed in an equally good mood as he had been the previous night. His body temperature was slightly raised, suggesting some recent physical activity. Perhaps he had been working out in the gym? He went to sleep immediately and I, after inputing this entry, powered down as well.

I like how Wilson goes investigating! He's a curious little guy. I wonder if there are any other droids hanging around that could explain the "gym" to him. tongue

Oh lawd. Avert yer eyes, children! I hope Wilson doesn't learn of the "gym" by walking in on Dos one day. doh!

Then again, seeing how a droid would explain that one would be hilarious. You know, doing those aerobics that Jag was talking about. blush

Great work, Muis! I love this story! grin (That means gimme more to read soon! mischief )

Jag: Love aerobics! laugh I guess you could call it that. And thanks for loving little Wilson, I love him too.

Snowy: Yeah, that's one of his quirks, he's a snoopy fellow. Thanks for reading!

Trika: You mean, like Dos walking in on Ghost and... Well, I don't want to spoil it for our new readers... Thanks for reading and thanks for beta-ing!

14 Galactic Standard Days after last memory wipe

Diagnostics Check:

Systems running at 99.9% efficiency
Power level at 91.3%
No defects

Days until mandatory service:

54 Galactic Standard Days

Log entry:

For the last four Galactic Standard Days, my master has been logging many hours in the simulators. I, of course, have been on hand to assist him. My master is gradually moving through scenarios and improving his scores while I am sharpening my programming. My efficiency in astrogation has improved with several percentage points and I have added a great number of standard New Republic starfighter maneuvers to my database.

My master's bond with Flight Officer Kaiban seems to be improving as well. Over the last four days, they have spend 89% of their free, waking hours together. My master seems more cheerful because of this. I am unfortunately unable to find a scientific notation capable of expressing how much more.

At briefing, my master has been informed of the fact that tomorrow, his squadron (still designated Orange for the remainder of their training) will do its first non-simulated training run. I have yet to receive details, but my master has promised to relay them to me as soon as he receives any.

I hope I will find flying in a “real” Y-wing as enjoyable as flying in a simulated Y-wing.

What a cute post. I love how your droids are always trying to figure out ways to put human emotions into quantifiable and measurable data. You do a great job of "machine-izing" your robotic characters. Great job, Muis!

Oh...and uh...Lilith...? I don't think A-wings have droids. I know, they're really missing out. Maybe you can strap a droid on top of an A-wing, between the engines?
